Cheryl B. Engelhardt is the composer and author of “Luminary” - music and affirmations for mindfulness, focus, and growth. The New York film, commercial, and social justice choral composer turned to creating music specifically for self-awareness after her decade-long struggle with panic attacks. In attempts to find music that supported her anxiety management, writing “Luminary” in a small abandoned mountain town in Greece became her solution. Cheryl graduated from Cornell University and lives in the Hudson Valley in New York.

After graduating from Cornell and spending several months SCUBA diving for the United States Geological Survey, she landed a job at a New York City commercial editing house which led to her next job at a jingle composing studio. There, Cheryl started first as a technology assistant, then as a composer and music supervisor, writing music for Fortune 500 companies' commercials. During this time, her love of performing took over and while working in the ad industry, she put together her band and recorded several albums. Currently she is now focused on her lates project, Luminary.

She has found a way to quell her anxiety with music, meditation, and exercise. She shares her method and her music expertise on The Minds Gym Podcast. Just another way to help calm the mind.

Jordonel, a twice divorced mother of 4, dealt with racism and it was hard to deal with growing up, she spent a lot of years on a farm her mom purchased so she could have animals and find peace. She came from biracial parents. Her mom also brought many children from unfortunate situations into their home without pay.

She studied Psychology/Behavioral Science for 6 years at UVU.

Before becoming clinically depressed. She sought help and began gaining weight from medications, and other physical ailments took control of her body and life. She spent 4 years mainly in bed. She would drink heavily when going out with friends. While in bed for years she began researching ways to heal. Worried she would be dependent on pharmaceutical drugs, she started dropping as many as possible. She went from about 20 drugs a day to being off drugs completely.

In the midst of all of this she was angry and didn't have healthy relationships, nor a positive outlook on the future. She has been vegan since July 6th 2017. She has knocked unhealthy addictions out of her life ever since! With a friend she started a 21 Day Vegan Challenge online, it's free. She now helps mentor people through their transition. Life throws challenges but having a healthy mind has dramatically changed how she deals with things.

Last year her oldest son survived having a tumor taken out of his brain and three from his lower spine. She lost her job, her home, and she has now found faith in humanity. A great listen, and amazing story of perseverance.

Hear about my brother Tony Bickmore's crazy life. He’s sure had an adventurous life. He’s been through the wringer. He married at the age of 19, had 4 children and he was married for 25 years. He was an angry alcoholic for about 20 years. He worked his tail off for several years to only find himself bankrupt at the age of 47.  He retired from the fire department, got divorced, got a girlfriend, moved to Nicaragua, got held at knife point, soon after his girlfriend moved back to Utah. He then found another girlfriend and finally found a relaxing simple affordable way to live in Nicaragua.  He’s been sober now for 4 years. He has remarried to an amazing wife and they 2 kids and they are currently residing in Nicaragua, where he built himself a new home two years ago.  In his free time he practices and plays Texas hold’em, surfs, works in his yard, reads a lot and watches lots of mindful videos on YouTube.  He’s come a long way and I am so proud of the wonderful human and the great example he has become. Thanks for you time bro. It was a wonderful interview.  I love you!

An interview with my little bro Chace. Discussing a journey through his life and how it has assisted him in finding a better version of him. We hear about his up bringing, golf life to a life of "quiet depression", family life, work, and his definition of success.  This guy's soul is well beyond his human years.  He sees the world differently than most of the 35 year olds I have had conversations with. He is an amazing listener and a kind soul. Thank you Chace for allowing me the time to interview you!

It would mean the world to me if you left a review and shared this episode with at least two people that are looking to change the way they see their world.

The more you share and post reviews will help in assisting the human race in changing the world for the better.
