Will Stefaniak '19 and Garrett Naughton '20 - two of Hersey's terrific gymnasts on this year's historic team - join Matt Bednar '19 in his hosting debut to our audiences in the eighth episode of The Howl to discuss their passion for the sport and their team's season leading up to the sectional meet, which was conducted earlier this month.
Bednar, himself an "all-arounder" who competes in all of the gymnastics events, interviews his fellow all-arounders in Stefaniak and Naughton in the first of two episodes on the 2019 Hersey Boys Gymnastics season, the second of which will come following this weekend's IHSA State competition. Mr. Walter Brownley - Hersey's second-year Head Baseball Coach - joins Carter Zagorski '19 in the seventh episode of The Howl to discuss life growing up while loving baseball, his experience winning an IHSA state championship while at Schaumburg HS, his time under the tutelage of the now-retired coach Bob Huber, the progress made last season in his first year as Head Coach, the expectations set for Hersey Baseball this spring, and more (recorded 3/12).

With analysis on the winners of major categories, a review of the first host-less Oscars in three decades, and way-too-early 2020 predictions, among numerous other topics, Susan and Josh masterfully put a bow on an exciting 2019 film industry awards season!
Susan Schmidt '19 and Josh Ho '20 - two movie experts and Entertainment section contributors for The Dispatch - join Carter Zagorski '19 in the fifth episode of The Howl to discuss next month's famed film industry awards show, The Oscars, and the nominees in prominent categories. Besides providing an overview of each candidate and giving their predictions, the two also discuss the uniqueness of currently not having a host for the hours-long ceremony, their favorite movies of 2018, and the future of the industry in a streaming age of film (recorded 1/24).
Mr. Austin Scott - Hersey's first-year Head Boys Basketball Coach - joins Carter Zagorski '19 in the fourth episode of The Howl to discuss his love of basketball and journalism, his coaching role models (including his father and current Hersey Assistant Coach, Dave Scott!), "the process" that is Hersey Hoops, and more (recorded on 11/30).

Sam Sobczak '20 - Managing Editor of the Food section of The Dispatch - joins Carter Zagorski '19 in this special Thanksgiving episode to review all sorts of topics regarding the national holiday. That's right, The Howl is back!
Proceed with caution, vegetarians, as they discuss the Sobczak family's passion for food, their successes in the industry, and their annual Thanksgiving habits, as well as this year's general Thanksgiving trends, the success of Hersey's annual food drive, and what they're thankful for with the celebration just hours away (recorded on 11/20).
Mr. Joe Krajacic - Hersey's Associate Principal - joins Carter Zagorski '19 in the second episode of The Howl to discuss the strengthened security policies implemented over the summer, the expansive Career Pathways program, the wide range of dual credit classes, the varied types of available internships, and the renovated space at our school for Media Technology students (recorded on 9/14).
