As it turns out, all is not right in the Dungeon as interlopers of an alien design seem to be trying to impose themselves on the structures of the dungeon itself! And last but never least: We'll be returning to our regular upload schedule starting on February 8th of 2022.

Now that they have a goal and an enemy at the top of the tower the Rift Walkers hit the stairs. After surviving the worst spell in the DMG, "Dad Joke," the party marches on!
After a tense trek through the feral dead-lands on the other side of the portal; our party and their helpers arrived at a intimidating fortress to find their way blocked by heavy gates, high walls, soldiers, and sentient ballista! Using Dio's dexterity, Byrdis bow arm and a few well timed Forgefinger Specials they managed to gain entry to the keep. Inside they encountered chain devils and other nasty hurdles before catching a glimpse of a fiendishly familiar orcish face. Will the Rift Walkers and crew make it to the top of the tower before Orcblood can stabilize the rift? What other horors lay in wait for them withing this tower? Can they smell what the beetle's cooking?!
After swimming, riding, and skiing into port our party sets about updating and being updated on the goings on around the world. They set for out Alcier via transportation circle with a few extra hands for back up and find the secret basement room in the Guild House dark and too quiet. After digging them selves out of the collapsed stairwell then sneak their way through the rapidly aging ruins of the merchant capital toward the giant rift. What dangers lay on the other side? Will any of their "extra help" survive the trip? Will Kaine be able to stay hydrated with all the profuse sweating?

The party managed to make it through the rest of the Collectors distorted maze with the help of their small, drunken, guide. This brought them a tense bit of haggling with Auntie and her coven sisters that ultimately saw them trading the use of the Rind of Drova for a year and a day in return for permanent acquisition of the Key Stone they needed to close the huge rift! A few minor points later and a couple extra fingers in the pot and the party was on their way back to Orewel... just in far wetter state than they'd hopped. Finding their way blocked the party decides to head back to the goblin frat party after a quick coin call with the hags. Along the way they encounter an unsettling monstrosity and manage to successfully lure it away from them down another hallway... right into the hoard of drunk goblins! One rino-fin charge and a surprise round later they procure themselves a guide to the hags 3rd floor abode and pay him in booze! Having made their way into the vaguely familiar halls of the twisting labyrinth the party skirted their way around a gaggle of drunken goblins and encountered a chamber of boozy cave lobsters! They backtracked their way to what SHOULD have been an entrance to the old treasure room of The Collector only to find a solid wall blocking their path... What will the party do now? Having finally arrived on a familiar beach the party is shocked to find the once green, well tended, paradise in a state of rot and ruin. They made their way to the now disguised center and fought the Ent of Decay that guarded then entrance to the labyrinth there. What else has changed on the island since they last visited? Find out! The party finally makes it to the tiny town in the center of the blizzard to find it populated only by snowflakes. After uncovering a journal at the inn and sussing out a few very creepy artifacts they rest, warm up, and the head out for a cave further up the pass to enact a spooky ritual set to them by the Hags. After making their presence once again unwelcome in one particularly Dwarven inn and sending Hilney on her way home the party travels south along the mountains toward their date with the Hag: Auntie. After an absolutely heartbreaking performance by their Halfling Bard the party spends a day shopping and making preparations for their upcoming trip. They calculated what else they need to do and made plans to visit some key figures. Now its time... WE MUST DO RESEARCH!
After dropping off the children they had saved and reuniting with their mercenaries; the party returned to Orewell in an attempt to prepare for their up in coming meeting with a coven of hags! Pehaps it will go well.. perhaps it wont.. either way! Dio has to PLAY!
After returning to Stonewal and hiring a band of mercenaries to help in routing the goblins and trolls that were kidnapping the kids; the party heads to where the river splits to see if they can destroy "the nest" only to find a much bigger problem than they had anticipated.
With one Halfling Barbarian and two young girls rescued the party decided to try and get the children returned home and then head back out to see if they can find out more about "Auntie" and perhaps save as many of the other missing children as they can...

After Dio informs the group that his sister is planing to join up with them in Orewell the party starts to make preparations to leave Alcier. They get paid and say their farewells while Dio goes ahead of them via the teleportation gate and gets a proper battle ram funeral for Clive. Once the party joins him at the Copper Coated Cup, an Tavern they were once kicked out off for not being dwarf-enough, they settle down to wait... but down time is not always what it seams.... What will happen to the party in this seemingly peaceful city? Are Byrdi and Leofin capable of sitting still for a week? Will Syphos finally be arrested for fraud?!

After an evening of warm baths, greetings, and cinnamon rolls the party manages to remove the Ring of Drova from Syphos, send an elderly Halfling into a murderous rage, and baffle Byrdi's father. Eventually they all settle down for some much needed rest while Dio dream walks to his sister Hildie. How will the party close the Great Rift? Where will the next leg of this journey take them?
Welcome back to the Table Ring of Contrarians! Happy NEW YEAR! We’re glad to be back with you and we hope you had a safe, warm, and happy holiday!
BAD NEWS EVERYONE! If you recall from our last episode we were having issues with the sound gate settings in our recording set up. Sadly this same issue made what was originally supposed to be Ep 43 almost completely unintelligible. By the grace of some unknown god what is NOW to be episode 43 only had about 15 minutes of soundgate and very little happened in its predecessor so we felt it a better experience for all involved that we summarize the events of that unholy monstrosity.
Where we left off: Syphos woke, far closer to Alcier than he had been before the explosion, very alone. He found himself at the base of a large, tree-like, rift that spread upwards for miles. Tendrils of crackling green energy wavering off into the heavens like some sort of sickening canopy. He began to search for his friends; stumbling first upon the broken and lifeless body of Clive.
Leofin he found not far from the valiant goat, half-buried in the sand but thankfully still breathing. Together they find the Rod of Absorption that Volah had been carrying but instead of the hand of their half-orc cleric sticking out of the sand nearby; they find Kaine buried up to her knuckles. The dragonborn monk appeared to have suddenly aged a few years but was otherwise only slightly sand logged. Leofin and Kaine set out to search for Volah but found only the faint remnants of footprints heading out into the open desert.
Syphos continued his search; pushing closer to the rift and finding close proximity to it was painful. As his head ached he spotted a form, half-buried in the sand, in what could only be Brydis armor? Quickly he moved to dig her out and found wrinkles in the corners of her eyes that had not been there before. Grey in her hair where it had once been only black. She roused to consciousness seeming to have aged nearly two decades.
After helping his now age-ed swordswoman to her feet and quickly filling her in they move off to find Dio. They spot just the tips of his bagpipes sticking out of a dune. Acting as signposts to where the halfling lay buried.
After digging him out Byrid begins to inform Dio as to the fate of his faithful mount…
Dio stumbles to his feet and makes a mad dash in the direction of the city; finding he has to give the rippling rift a wide birth in order to keep himself from passing out again. After a while the rest of the party reconvenes and finds Dio curled up and clinging to the body of his dead companion.
When they can wait no longer Syphos, Leofin, and Kaine begin to make their way back to the city. Byrdi moves off to see if she can follow Volahs tracks with any more luck. They leave Dio to mourn in peace for as long as they can. Byrdi tracked Volah a fair distance before all sings of her vanish into the wake of the retreating orcish army.
She returns as the sun wains into the afternoon and helps Dio bring the body of his goat back to the city for a proper burial. They find the rest of their party waiting as the forces of Alcier attempt to un-barricade the gate.
Once back inside the walls of the merchant city they are reunited with Petrick and Korn. The excitable Lantern Dragonite informs them that as soon as the gigantic rift stabilizes hordes upon hordes of creatures will come spilling through. Armies in numbers to which this plane has no way of counting will beset his world and every living creature in it… so they better act fast and find a keystone that can close it. The good news being that the stabilization could take anywhere from two weeks to 47 years, give or take a few hours…
As the rest of the party heads back to the Guild House; Byrdi sets out to search the remnants of the orc camp for her father. Once reunited they head back to the city...
Their plan to trick Orcblood in shambles; both sides fire off spells and the battle for Alttier begins! Will the party come out of this whole? Will Syphos be able to control the rings power? Will they be able to close the final rift? Welcome to PART TWO!

Having descended into the depths of the dungeon and worked through the puzzles that lead them to the worst slide in history! the party finally found the Gauntlets of Drova wreathed in flames. Dio, unbeknownst to the rest of the group, stole the icy ring from Volah and used its power to snatch the gauntlets. Now, after a flash of light, the party finds themselves bewildered in a room with a flooded floor and a mysterious woman. What happened, where are they, who is that?! After successfully taking out the remain siege weapons on the walls and defeating two orcish priests the party accepted the surrender of the remaining fort personnel and now look down from the top of the ruined wall on their prisoners, the freed slaves and townsfolk who had joined the battle rounding up the remaining fire genasi and orc in what was left of the central courtyard. Having looted and left the mysterious drifting island behind the party finally made their way back to land on the docks of a small Goliath community in the hills. the managed to procure food and lodging for the night and a wagon with sturdy beast to pull it before heading out onto the winding road to toward the desert the next morning. With the "Collector" defeated and a horde of treasure at their disposal the party fills their pockets and then makes their way out of the labyrinth of tunnels, back toward the ship and hopefully back on their way to to the Terracotta Desert... but whats this? After setting sail from Orwell on the Black Toe, the party enjoys most of their cruise. As their ship sails, they take note that the ships is not heading in the needed direction. As this revelation is made they get snagged in a reef of an island that should not exist. Taking the call the party goes to the shore of this island to find an orc who does not appear to be effected by the madness of the other orcs. Afterwards they found strange orbs that suddenly began to glow, exploding with incredible force shortly after! This really did a number on the party. Unfortunately we lost the epic party that was Episode 8 to the clutches of the plane of chaos.
