Monthly Topic: WHOLENESS If being perfect in all areas of health isn’t the goal (because: unattainable), what does wholeness in faith look like? Jesus says to love the Lord your God with all your heart (relational health), mind (mental health), soul (spiritual health), and strength (physical health), and to love others as yourself. [Mark 12:30] Today we discuss how life is about the process, the progress, and the practice of sanctification. Sanctification is growing more like Jesus: loving God and loving people.

Monthly Topic: GRIEF. Please welcome to the podcast the beautifully articulate and whole-hearted Tina Giuliani. In our interview, Tina helps us understand the many forms grief takes: anticipatory grief, current grief, and grief for the person you were before the grief began. Rather than be overwhelmed, we hope you find Tina to be a soul sister, as we do. In her openness, may you find connection; In her grace, may you find freedom; and in her wisdom, may you find bravery to face your own situation, and/or support another in theirs. We hope you join us in our Vaya Con Dios, and let us know: @thejackieandstaceyshow

Monthly Topic: PEACEMAKING. Jackie and Stacey share a faith of Christianity. In this episode, we discuss how the American view of Christianity is warped by religion. Jesus was NOT a peacekeeper. He showed up and called everyone out on their hypocrisy. He was far from chill about it, and we are challenged to go through conflict for the purpose of understanding others, too. Truly, we have got to go through conflict to even understand our own motivations, fears and anger. Doesn’t that sound like a fun podcast ?!? Ha! Let’s wade in together, friends!

Monthly topic: JUSTICE Move over Plato, Aristotle, Aquinas, and Augustine, Jackie and Stacey apparently have something to say about the topic of justice. Seriously, though...With philosophers and thought leaders, authors and theologians adding to this conversation for not just centuries, but for all of time, what could we possibly contribute to the mix? Listen to find out! We talk about justice a bit through the lense of ourselves and our own identity, because that is really where the conversation needs to begin, doesn't it? Let's define and understand our own definition of, understanding of, and perspectives on the concept of justice, so that we can carry into the world with compassion and confidence.

Episode #68 is second in our monthly series on FRIENDSHIP. This episode looks at FRIENDSHIP through the lens of Faith. Jackie and Stacey talk about what it really means to have faith - and that Jackie's is really built on FRIENDSHIP. Jackie even plays us a suuuuuper cheezy song - that is really a video on You Tube. Stacey does her best to describe the Partridge Family vibe, but you may just want to search this one up yourself: "Son Seed, Jesus is a friend of mine".

You may have caught on by now that Jackie and Stacey share a pretty similar faith. They both long to not be quite so "bubble boy", and ask that you reach out and let them know what you believe (or don't), and how that influences your FRIENDSHIPS. Help a sister out & send a message!

Monthly Topic: BIG DREAMS Jackie and Stacey are taking a little detour in the podcast this month. The topic is BIG DREAMS. Rather than speak generally about DREAMS (not the zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz or REM type :), the girls discuss a very specific big dream of Jackie's. In today’s episode, we look through the lens of Community: how does community influence the dream, and how does the dream influence the community? Do YOU have a BIG DREAM? If you knew you could not fail, what would you set out to do? What problem in the world would you solve with your DREAM? We want to know! Send us a note to thejackieandstaceyshow@gmail.com or @thejackieandstaceyshow on Instagram/Twitter/Facebook. The first step in your BIG DREAM is sharing it! Vaya Con Dios, friends!

Monthly Topic: COMFORT ZONES

Hello Friends! This month we are interviewing Jackie's longtime friend Abe Lincoln... again! We had technical difficulties the first time we attempted a remote interview, so we just met up in person this time to be sure we got it :)

Abe and his dear wife have un-schooled their children, traveled the country together... and lived to tell the tales to Jackie & Stacey! Listen in to hear how Abe has lived out a consistent strategy to say yes first, then figure out the details later. His COMFORT ZONE is pretty big - but that it takes time and intention to be so. We hope you are as thrilled to listen as we were to record this excellent interview.

Don't forget to fill us in! How is your COMFORT ZONE being stretched this month? Conversely, have you given yourself permission to just bask in some COMFORT to recharge? We want to know! Send us your photo, story, or question to thejackieandstaceyshow@gmail.com, #jackieandstacey, @thejackieandstaceyshow.

Monthly Topic: COMFORT ZONES

Did you know that you have BIG and small COMFORT ZONES? Think about how in some areas you are super confident, and in others .... not so much. Some of us are super adventurous eaters, while others always order the same foods. The picky eater may be an excellent public speaker, while the adventurous eater would rather die that stand up in front of a crowd! It is fascinating how we can be COMFORTABLE in one area, but totally out of place in another.

Join Jackie and Stacey as they discuss these different areas of COMFORT, and how social media can bring about a beautiful, accessible, look into other people's COMFORT ZONES.

Fun extra: Jackie and Stacey are recording this episode on a mini road trip - AND took a video! Look for it on our IGTV AND on Facebook!

Let us know if you are working the Vaya Con Dios for this episode, too! Send us an email at thejackieandstaceyshow@gmail.com, tweet @jackieandstacey, or find us on Instagram @thejackieandstaceyshow ! As always, use the hashtags #vayacondios and #thejackieandstaceyshow

Monthly Topic: COMFORT ZONES

Join Jackie and Stacey as they discuss COMFORT ZONES. Stacey thinks Jackie is a total expert on how to encourage kids to expand their COMFORT ZONE.

She introduces us to the idea of the Zone of Proximal Development. This is the space between what we already know and what we don't YET know. That is the sweet spot of learning, growth, and adventure.

Some questions the girls discuss in this episode:

How did it feel to go outside of your COMFORT ZONE?

How do you get back to your COMFORT ZONE when you need to?

Why does it matter anyhow?

Please let us know if you are working the Vaya Con Dios for this episode! Send us an email at thejackieandstaceyshow@gmail.com, tweet @jackieandstacey, or find us on Instagram @thejackieandstaceyshow !

Monthly topic: COMFORT ZONES

In this second episode on the topic of COMFORT ZONES, Jackie and Stacey discuss stretching your faith a little. Stacey gets a little concerned that this means she must become a missionary, but Jackie clarifies things (per usual)!! When things get a little "Christianese", the gals try to define what "relationship with Jesus" means to each of them. It would be super interesting to find out what that weird phrase means to you and your COMFORT ZONE!

Happy October!

New month / New Topic: COMFORT ZONES

Ahhh, comfort: cozy, easy, yummy... Are you picturing a blanky? A latte? Lounging in a hammock on a white sand beach sipping your favorite cocktail with the warm sun making you all sleepy and relaxed...

(Stacey is going to take a nap now)

J/K! Comfort is wonderful... for a little while. Join Jackie and Stacey in Episode 57 to hear how your Comfort Zone is pretty different that just being comfy. Sometime we get a little stagnant - and comfort can mean just doing the minimum to get by. It will be no surprise to you that this can be easy, but mediocre - and you may just be feeling a little uninspired. Have no fear! Jackie and Stacey will encourage you to do a little step (your Vaya Con Dios) to stretch your Comfort Zone.

Together, lets go from just surviving to learning and growing!

What did you think? Were you a teensy bit inspired by this episode? If so, we would LOVE to hear about it! Tweet us! Hashtag #thejackieandstaceyshow! Send us an email thejackieandstaceyshow@gmail.com! Visit our website jackieandstacey.com !

Monthly Topic: CONFIDENCE

Thanks for tuning in to episode 52 of The Jackie and Stacey Show! Starting today, we are delving into a new topic for the month of September - CONFIDENCE! This is perhaps a great time to remind you, our dear listeners, that we are by NO MEANS experts in any of these topics. What we are experts at is talking through stuff we are thinking about.

This month we are thinking a lot about how CONFIDENCE influences our lives. As usual, we start by looking at our monthly topic through the lens of SELF. How do we get confidence? Do we fake it till we make it? What if we don't have the CONFIDENCE to even fake it??? AHHH! Don't you worry, just listen in, and participate in our Vaya Con Dios!

Jackie and Stacey interview local author Brian Courrejou on the topic of STORYTELLING. Not only does Brian's resume include having authored two children's books:

No Bees Please!

but he also works for the Candid Camera Corporation!

We hope you enjoy our conversation about storytelling, creative outlets, and where Brian got the idea for his children's books. Hint: it has something to do with a FEAR of bees! Join us as we laugh, cry, and talk about our recently discovered shared dream of being Saturday Night Live cast members.

Monthly Topic: STORYTELLING

STORYTELLING is such a classic community builder. Jackie and Stacey talk about how tall tales, wives tales, fables, myths, and creepy stories are woven throughout the histories of all communities world wide. Your grandma may have taught you to tell the truth through the story of the boy who cried wolf. Your neighbor may pass a lil' judgement your way because they think things "should" be done a certain way - based on the stories they have been told through cultural stories. This topic of STORYTELLING gets a personal touch when Stacey tells of a famous "Elmer" in her childhood. Join us!

NEW/MONTHLY topic: CREATIVITY

Starting this month, we are ssslllooooowing our roll. Due to some new listener feedback, the amount of episodes we have published was a little intimidating! Our slower roll is going to look like this: instead of a new topic every week, we are going to switch to a new topic each month. I guess you could say we are practicing being CREATIVE in our approach to podcasting?!

Perfect segue!

In Episode 46 of The Jackie and Stacey Show, we discuss how we are CREATIVELY making a few changes around here! You gave us feedback, and we are listening:

First, the sound on this slapstick podcast sure ain't perfect. We promised you that we live like we talk: try now, and fix later! Well, it is later. Today we tried out a great sound booth - Stacey's closet. How did it work?

Second, we got CREATIVE by both recording the audio for this podcast AND going Facebook LIVE at the same time. Do we make any sense? Or did we refer to visual things too much?

Lastly, this month was our slower roll out of each topic/lens. Did you like it? We did! This was a great month for us to slow down our recording. We hope you enjoyed the break as much as we did.

As always, thank you for listening in, and thank you for practicing at life with us!

XOXO, Jackie and Stacey

Jackie & Stacey discuss how entrepreneur Jim Rohn once said, “You’re the average of the five people you spend most of your time with.” His quote and this idea is repeated quite a bit in each weekly topic with close relationships. It makes a lot of sense, especially with the impact on one's Goals.

Listen in to Episode 0029 of The Jackie and Stacey Show to hear what the girls' goals are, and how you can begin to encourage those closest to you in this area.
