Bushfooty - a new Podcast during this time of need. COVID-19 has locked bush footy down, so its time to tell some tall tales, most told for the first time. Most of it is fact, that's a fact! Tune in to hear from bush footy legends and their amazing bush footy tales.
In Episode 1 Part 2 of the BushFooty Podcast we continue our chat with our first bush footy legend - Glenn the Gazelle. Shaun Cotter started playing senior football as a skinny kid for the mighty Snowy Rovers in Far East Gippsland. He has worn a few jumpers over the journey playing up in Bendigo for Kangaroo Flat but most of his playing days were spent with the YCW Eagles in the Loddon Valley Football League in Central Victoria and with the St Kilda City Saints in the Southern Football League. He managed a couple of guests stints for the Tamworth Kangaroos and the West Broken Hill Cock Robins and he has been a part of the Melbourne Masters side for the past few years, culminating in wearing a Big V jumper at the recent National Masters Tournament. Having played around 450 senior games, 8 Premierships from 14 Grand Finals and 10 Best and Fairests the atypical Collingwood 6 footer played in the ruck and at Centre Half Back most of his career before moving into a ruck rover and forward later in his career. Whilst he kicked just over 200 goals and likely around just as many points, it’s fair to say he kicked plenty of goals off the ground over the years. Known for his grit on-field, he was also one of the better off-field players you will see. Enjoy Episode 1 Part 2 of tall tales with footy legends.
