Well it's our last episode for 2021...but could this be Aussie beer Explorer's last episode ever???
Nothing's set in stone yet, but what we do know is that after this ep we'll definitely be taking a break for a while. Thanks to everyone who's listened to us rabbit on for the last three and a half years, hopefully we gave you something fun to do while some of you were in lockdown at various times throughout the pandemic...it's crazy to think that for over half the time we've been gasbagging about beers has been during these "unprecedented times".
And a huge thanks to Hops To Home, who've been sending us a few extra beers to talk about each month. We've enjoyed trying beers we wouldn't have grabbed off the shelves ourselves, and as a result we've definitely broadened our horizons!

What a controversial episode this is...first of all, all these beers are 0.5% ABV. Yep you read that right, we've done a couple of mini-eps before, but this is our first ever full length low-alcohol episode! But as we talk about in this episode, this segment of the market is booming, so we thought we'd better jump on the bandwagon too... Another big topic in this ep is that this is the second last episode of Aussie Beer Explorers!!! Maybe not forever, we're not sure yet, but at least for a little while we'll be giving your ears a rest. Dave had the chance to visit Cornella Brewery in between a couple of Melbourne's lockdowns a few months ago, and what an awesome looking venue it is! Right near Colbinabbin in central Victoria, it shares the grounds with The Shiraz Republic, there's a stage for entertainment, plus great looking onsite cabins overlooking the vineyard. There was no punters around at the time due to ongoing restrictions, but he was able to grab a few beers, and we finally got stuck into them:

Check out these two Non-Alcoholic beers from Athletic Brewing Co! We were fortunate enough to have the guys at Rocket Comms send us these two interesting beers: * Upside Dawn Golden Ale * Run Wild IPA
We’ve certainly had a few low/no alcoholic beers on this journey with one of these in particular reminding us of sipping on some wort as it pours out of the brew kettle and into the fermenter, albeit not sweet! Brick Lane have teamed up with the Victorian members of Pink Boots Australia to create this limited Stereobreaker Rye Pale Ale. And we were fortunate enough to be sent a couple during Melbroune's Lockdown 4.0! What a ripper of a beer, well done to Emily and the team! Wonder if that's Emily's profile rocking out on the label?? Despite Australia Post's best efforts to sabotage this mini episode, Brick Lane have proved that neither rain, hail or covid will stop them from getting their beers out!

What a cracker of a line up we had the opportunity to taste from 2 Brothers Brewery in Moorabbin! Usually this would have been the August Hops to Home episode, however it looks like Australia Post have been overwhelmed with the Stage 4 Coronavirus restrictions and our pack is stuck at the distribution centre.
Luckily for us the guys at 2 Brothers got in touch and we were extremely fortunate to get five beers hand delivered on the same day as the “Ode to 86” was canned!
So we did some quick research and along with the notes on the beers supplied by 2 Brothers we were good to go.

This is exciting...Temple Brewing Co sent us 6 beers to try, and we thought we'd better sneak it out before before the weekend, because they've brewed a beer especially for the Chinese New Year! Chinese New Year is on 25th January this year, and Temple Brewing have released the 888 Mandarin Ale to help celebrate.
