Do you ever find yourself worrying about tomorrow? Perhaps it is worry over finances, health, or relationships. It really makes perfect sense that our God, who created and owns the universe including you and I, will provide for, initiate and bless His creation. He tells us exactly where our priorities should lie as we go about our daily lives: Seek always His Kingdom first! (Matthew 6:25-34)

You have possibly noticed that the word ‘die’ is tucked right into the middle of the word ‘obedience.’ We truly must ‘die’ to self to live for Jesus. As we have said so many times before, true JOY comes with putting Jesus first, others second, and ourselves last. As we experience Jesus and His joy, we can’t keep it to ourselves. May our lives be living testimonies of the HOPE we have stored deep within our hearts, as we share what it means to live a God-first, God-honouring life! (Proverbs 21:2)

When the storms of life rage, and we cry for answers, and no answers seem to come, what do we do? May we run to our Heavenly Father, submitting to Him and seeking His direction. May we ask Him to give us the wisdom, grace and strength to persevere and relinquish all that weighs us down, so that we can be set free! Our challenges do not catch Him off-guard. Let us stand firm on the truth of who God is and not neglect His Word or our time spent with Him. Let us boldly ask Him to use our challenges to bring about a great harvest – for His glory and the advancement of His Kingdom. (James 1:2-3)

Do you ever stop to wonder about the difference it would make to see people, places, circumstances, relationships, and daily events from God’s perspective instead of your own? Often we look with earthly, judgemental eyes, being critical in our hearts, if not aloud. What if we asked God to show us His loving, forgiving, and wise perspective of people and circumstances? Imagine the difference this would make to how we respond to the world around us. (Matthew 6:25-34)

It has been said, "Your walk talks, and your talk talks, but your walk talks louder than your talk talks!" Simply put, our walk with Jesus and how we respond to others is a greater witness for the Lord than what we say about following Him. Both avenues for witnessing are vital! They show the world that believing in Jesus makes a huge difference in our lives every day and in every circumstance. Indeed, on good days, and not-so-good days, that is what sets us apart. May we walk with confidence, showing others the light that shines through us, the light of Jesus! (1 John 1:5-7)

Have you ever been completely taken off guard by a situation in your life – something you truly don't understand and that presents a great challenge? You know those are times when you realise that Jesus is your Lord, and that He brings the promise of heaven, but right now, it hurts. In those times when we struggle to understand the ‘why,’ may we rejoice, knowing that God doesn't waste anything. May we hold on to His promises, knowing that His comfort, love, goodness and compassion bring healing and eternal hope. (Habakkuk 3:17-18)

Do you ever say to yourself: "If I only had a new way, a new way to live, a new way to love others, a new way to relate to God?" We know that accepting Christ truly gives us a 'new way’. Our gracious God gives us as His people, the directions for a 'new way', 'His way' through His Word. Our faithful God also provided a way for us to become part of His family through His precious Son, Jesus. So no matter what life throws at us, may we stay focused and stand firm, living as people of 'THE WAY'. (Exodus 20:1-17)

Do you ever have days when your faith waivers, or seems so small that you wonder how our marvellous Lord could even smile when He thinks of you? Take heart! In His Word, God repeatedly tells us about His great faithfulness. As we daily fix our eyes on our Lord and grow in knowing Him more intimately, may we experience His greatness, power, glory, victory and majesty. This will give us the courage to move forward, knowing that for our God, nothing is impossible. (1 Chronicles 29:11-12)

As we flip the page of our calendar from 2022 to 2023, it brings us reason to pause. We look back and remember all that God has done for us in 2022, and we look forward with excitement to His assignments in the new year. As we do this, two important words bring meaning to the past and hope for the future: MERCY and GRACE. They are indeed a perfect pair. As we understand their meaning in our lives, we appreciate all God has done in the past and have hope for our future with Him. (2 John 1:3; 2 Timothy 1:2; Ephesians 2:8)

Today, let us RECEIVE and CELEBRATE the Light of Life, our Redeemer, the Bread of Life, the Word, the Creator, the beloved Son of the Living God, the Holy One, wonderful Counsellor, everlasting Father, mighty God, Prince of Peace, King of kings, Lord of lords, the Alpha and Omega, our High Priest, Prophet, Teacher, Advocate, Mediator, Judge, the Chief Cornerstone, the Author and Finisher of our faith, the Lamb of God, our Good Shepherd, our Rock, the True Vine, the Lion of Judah, the Bright Morning Star, the Way, the Truth and the Life, our Lord and Saviour – Jesus Christ! (John 8:12)

Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, our Lord. May our Christmas tree lights remind us that Jesus is our best gift ever received and the Light of this world. As children of God, may we find happiness and peace, and grow in our relationship with Him every day. Let us be light-bearers for Jesus!
When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." (John 8:12)

If we look carefully during this season, we can find Jesus everywhere. May we REMEMBER the wonder of Christmas! The world celebrates one day a year, but we celebrate Jesus our Saviour in our hearts every single day. May we go back to the fundamental Truth – the Light of this world – and REALIGN our lives to the will and love of God. May we RECONSIDER the reason God came to walk among us. He calls us into an intimate relationship with Him – to know Him and to REFOCUS our minds and hearts on the greatest gift we have ever RECEIVED – Jesus! May this Christmas be centred on CHRIST! (1 Corinthians 13:4-7)

Do you ever wonder how you are going to handle a certain challenge, or how you will process what is happening in an important relationship? Do you ever say to yourself: "If there was only a manual that covered this situation!" The great news is… There is such a manual. You probably have one in your home. It is the Word of God, the Bible. It is the inspired, infallible, and inerrant Word of God, written for you! Our Lord loves you so much that He does not want you to live your life apart from His wisdom and guidance. May we abide in the Truth, living according to Biblical principles and sharing the Good News with everyone we encounter.

JOY is more than just feeling happy – it is a gift from God that He puts in our hearts and is part of who we are. JOY means that, no matter what we face, we can put our hope in God's promises and His faithfulness. He is our Good Shepherd, and His love for us brings JOY into our lives!
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law." (Galatians 5:22-23)

Do you ever feel tied down, or tied up? Habits enslave us, and there is only one way to truly be set free from unhealthy habits and mindsets… and that is to know the Lord Jesus Christ personally. In God’s Word we learn that we can choose Christ, which gives us hope and great freedom, or be slaves to sin, which leads to bondage. May we always remember that because of Jesus, we are restored and renewed. We have been set free and we know THE WAY into the Kingdom of Light! (Romans 6:3-7)

Don't you just love the story of Jesus feeding the 5000? Jesus shows His compassion and power in this amazing miracle. God's miracle-working power reminds us about His authority over the things of this world and His love for meeting the needs of His people. This gives us security – we can rest in our Almighty God's presence as we trust Him to take care of our today and our tomorrow. We can walk boldly towards our unique purpose and everything God has called us to. May we open our Spiritual eyes to see Jesus' light, signs and wonders all around us, knowing that for Him, nothing is impossible! (Mark 6:39-46)

Have you ever had a difficult day, only to have it turned around by the encouragement of a loving friend, or by finding the perfect Scripture to ease your heart? God knew when He created us that we would need one another and that we would need Him! When we look around and see the changes taking place in the world, we realise how the gift of those we love in Jesus keeps us grounded. God’s Holy Word reminds us of His steadfast love for us. When our eyes are fixed on Jesus, He will bring clarity, refreshing to our souls, and rest and peace in His presence. Let us incline our hearts to how the Holy Spirit continuously reminds us that God’s love, goodness and mercy will follow us all the days of our lives. (2 Timothy 1:1-7)

Do you ever feel tempted to give up? Following Christ in today's world is difficult. It is oftentimes, to say the least, defeating to our spirits. Living for Jesus may even be 'life-threatening' in some countries. So why not just give in to the ways of the world? Everyone else seems to be doing just fine? But, as children of God, we know in our hearts that we have a higher calling. Our Lord Jesus determines our steps. May we never give up on the hope we have, and never give in to worry, anxiety or fear. We can trust that our good and faithful God knows exactly what we need and where to send us. (Luke 12:22-32)

Even though we face multiple challenges, there is always a spark of hope! Even in the depths of despair, even on discouraging days, we can know that our Lord is faithful. We have seen Him work before, and He will never disappoint us! We read in His Holy Word of the miracles He has performed since the beginning of time. We are loved by the God who created us, so why even question this? We can always have hope and great expectation for what God is doing in and through our lives! (Lamentations 3:18-25)

There is an old proverb that says, "What's down in the well comes up in the bucket!" How true that is, not only with physical water wells, but also regarding the well-spring of our hearts. Perhaps we all need to evaluate whether we are responding to our life events in a way pleasing to Jesus, or reacting in a prideful, self-centred way. Are we drawing more of Jesus from our wells than we were last month, or even last week? (2 Corinthians 13:5)

When you were born, your mom and dad gave you a name. When someone calls that name, you look to hear what they have to say to you! People know you by your name! How exciting that Our Lord has many names, all of which reflect His character and being. Those names reassure us about who He personally wants to be in our lives! He says of Himself: “I AM WHO I AM, God Almighty, your Provider, your Comforter, your Refuge and Strength, your Deliverer, your Salvation, your Hope, your Friend who never leaves you, the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End…” and so much more! (Genesis 17:1 & Exodus 3:14)

Do you ever feel bombarded with choices? From sun-up to sun-down… ‘Do I accomplish this task, or focus on this element of my 'to-do' list?’ ‘Do I go to this place or that?’ ‘Do I spend time quietly with Jesus now or not?’ ‘Do I spend time with others?’ ‘Do I speak or remain silent when faced with a prickly issue?’ Questions and choices everywhere! Our answers determine our days. Indeed, our answers and how we respond affect not only ourselves and our circumstances, but other people too. How should we respond? As in all things, let's look to the Word of God. (Luke 10:38-42)

Do you ever wonder exactly who your neighbour is? Is it the people who live beside you, to the right or to the left? Is it the person in the next cubical at work or the one next to you on the screen in your online group? Our Lord Jesus makes it very clear. Our neighbour is the person in our path right at this moment! Scholars have wanted a specific answer to this question for years. Jesus' answer is an earthly story with a heavenly meaning – and at its core is love! (Luke 10:25-37)

As die Heilige Gees in ons harte kom woon, dra ons Sy vrugte – die Vrug van die Gees. Die eerste van hierdie vrugte is liefde. Ons moet liefde uitleef!
God se liefde vir ons is so groot dat Hy Sy seun, Jesus gestuur het om vir ons te sterf. Hy wil ook hê dat ons, ons naaste moet liefhê soos wat Hy ons liefhet. Soms is dit moeilik, maar daarom het ons die Heilige Gees wat ons help!

When the Holy Spirit comes to live in our hearts, we bear His fruit — the Fruit of the Spirit. The first of these fruits is love, and we must live love!
God's love for us is so great that He sent His son Jesus to die for us. He also wants us to love others the way that He loves us. Sometimes it's hard, but that's why we have the Holy Spirit helping us!
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law." (Galatians 5:22-23)

I'm sure you have been challenged at one time or another to be filled with 'faith' and not with 'fear'. But what exactly does that mean? Today, let's consider what 'fear' is in our lives, and how we can be filled with faith – that awe and respect for God that indeed transcends understanding. This faith foundation helps us to be constantly filled with absolute awe towards our Lord. As a result, we are able to seek and find His tender grace towards us, and we experience the richness of His power and love in every situation. (1 John 4:18, Psalm 33:8 and Acts 2:43)

You have possibly experienced going to an optometrist or eye doctor – whether for a test, glasses, contacts, or surgery to restore your eyesight to what they call 20/20 vision. That is 'normal vision' in which a person can see an object clearly from 20 feet away. Today, let's consider what we will call 50/20 vision. In Genesis 50:20, Joseph looks back over things that happened throughout his life, and sees how God worked even the negative experiences for good. There is always purpose in the process. What is your perspective of your past, and of today; and how do you see your tomorrows? May we always stand in awe of our amazing Heavenly Father and count our blessings one by one! (Genesis 50:15-21)

We are all filled with something…. It is either the cares and concerns of the world, or the love, peace and light of Jesus. It can’t be both. Our Lord tells us over and over in His Word that the choices we make have consequences in our earthly lives, in the lives of others, and in the life everlasting. Jesus knows that we have challenges in this world. Yet, He invites us to allow Him to fill our cups (our innermost being) to overflowing with His presence – that is where we will find rest for our souls and the courage to walk wisely in obedience to His will. (Matthew 11:28-30 and John 7:38)

It has been said, "If you don't have a trial today, you had one yesterday, or you will have one tomorrow!" That sounds very negative, right? However, the good news is: Even though what we face today may seem like a mountain too high to climb, or a valley too dark and deep to walk through, there is HOPE. Our Lord knows exactly what we are facing, and He is with us right now. So, why would we ever trust in a lesser power than our loving Lord? Why don't we just lift our eyes to the One that watches over us – the One who guards our going out and our coming in? (Psalm 121)

In our daily lives, we have a multitude of choices… Where will I go? Who will I listen to? What will I accomplish? How will I respond? How will I spend my time? Every decision and every action ultimately reflect who Jesus is in our lives. Is He our constant strength and guide, the One that gives us hope, joy, peace and everlasting life, or is He just someone we have heard about or call upon when we have a challenge? Each of us can make a choice right now that will change our lives forever! (John 4:7-15)

When people look at you, what do they immediately think? Do they see you as a person ‘clothed in goodness and kindness' or someone who will pass judgment upon others? Do they see you reflecting Jesus or reflecting your own thoughts and attitudes? Do they see you as someone who rejoices and trusts in the Lord, even though you may be facing opposition? The world often reflects the exact opposite of how Our Lord wants us to behave. May our life-stories of hope, love, compassion, goodness and redemption always reflect God, so that we can bless and serve others… All for His renown and glory! (Proverbs 31:12 & 26)

Die wapenrusting van God help ons om vas te staan teen die vyand. Die laaste deel van hierdie wapenrusting is gebed. Ons moet elke dag bid. Ons kan alleen of saam met ander bid, en ons kan enige plek en enige tyd bid. Gebed is 'n kragtige geskenk van God, so laat ons bid sonder ophou terwyl ons God vertrou om ons gebede te verhoor.
“Doen alles deur gebed en smeking. Laat die Gees julle elke keer in die gebed lei. Bly in alle omstandighede op julle hoede en bid vir almal wat aan God behoort.” (Efesiërs 6:18)

The Armour of God helps us to stand firm against the enemy. The final part of this armour is Prayer. We should pray every day, we can pray alone or with others, and we can pray anywhere, and at any time. Prayer is a powerful gift from God, so let us pray without ceasing as we trust God for answered prayers.
“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.” (Ephesians 6:18)

Every day is a special gift from the LORD, given 24 hours at a time. Jesus Himself reminded us to live one day at a time. He said, “Give us this day our daily bread!” (Matthew 6:11) He didn’t say ‘give me enough for two weeks, or a month,’ but for one day! May we live each and every day being ‘present’, knowing that we can trust in our Lord. His goodness and faithfulness enable us to enjoy all the blessings of each moment. This includes all aspects of our lives: our family, our friends, our physical needs being met, our promised eternal home, our confidence that Jesus will never leave us, our opportunities to serve Him and bear Kingdom-fruit, and so much more. (Deuteronomy 30:19-20)

As we spend time reading and studying God’s Word, as well as in prayer, how many verses of the Bible have we hidden in our hearts? How many verses can you recite? We hide so many other things in our minds and hearts… phone numbers, historical facts, the lyrics to a favourite song… but what about the life-giving, eternity-changing Word of God? Our Lord showed us and taught us that memorising Scripture is vital to our well-being. (Psalm 119:11)

With today's modern technology, we only need to speak into our phones to get a recipe which ignites culinary delights. Just as there are certain ingredients, a certain order, certain timing, and even a certain temperature indicated in the recipe, our Lord presents in His Holy Word a recipe for life that lasts through eternity. The beauty of the Gospel is that we don't have to fear that we'll fail in our attempts to get the recipe right. Jesus is right beside us. He is our strength. He fills us with zeal to accomplish the task at hand, and nothing is too hard or impossible for Him. He will lead us as we grow and mature according to His master design for our lives. (Colossians 2:6-7; Ephesians 4:16; and Ephesians 2:10)

Dear friend, what is going on in your life? Do you ever feel like you are going through the fire of difficult days or seasons? Do your challenges appear overwhelming at times? The wonderful news is that not only does our Lord know what is happening in our lives, but He speaks about these times through His Word, so that we can stay strong in the midst of the fire. Plus, He promises He will never ever leave our side, and we will receive peace and joy as we trust in Him. (1 Peter 1:6-9)

We learn over and over through God’s Word, through conversations with Godly friends and through our own life-stories, that Jesus is worthy of our trust. He never has, and never will let us down. Even on days when we don’t understand what is happening, we can trust His will, His character, His love, His peace and joy in our hearts, and His history of faithfulness to carry us through. (Lamentations 3:22-23)

The sword of the Spirit is the Word of God. It is a powerful weapon, as it helps us to fight to overcome temptation and stand against the lies of the enemy. God’s Word is the only truth we can rely on, and this TRUTH will set us free and help us live according to His will.
“Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.” (Ephesians 6:17)

There are so many battles in today’s world… emotional, physical, spiritual, mental, relational, financial and occupational. Do you ever wonder if you are battling on all these fronts by yourself? As we read and believe God’s Holy Word, we realise that whether in or out of battle, Jesus never forsakes us, and God Himself fights on our behalf. He is with us to quench our thirst and He is faithful to bring the victory we so desperately need. Our faithfulness leads to obedience, which activates God’s miracle-working power to fight the good fight of faith, with Him at our side. (Exodus 14:14 & Joshua 24:17-18)

Have you ever wondered why Jesus referred to us as sheep? Sheep, by their very nature, are prone to wander off from the safety of their flock. They are programmed by their creator to follow each other. Sheep are almost totally lacking in protection from predators. They lack wisdom to discern good from evil and are unable to be transformed into the likeness and image of their shepherd. But they know that they are stronger together as they submit to their shepherd who guides, directs, and protects them. Jesus is that loving Shepherd, inviting us into His flock. (John 10:11-18)

As we read God’s Word, from Genesis 1:1, “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth,” to Revelation 22:21, “The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen,” we find God’s faithfulness and plan for our lives. In that plan, we see that we are created with a purpose and for a purpose, both for our good and for His glory. May we trust in Jesus and His life-giving love, knowing that He fills our hearts with His light as we walk by faith and perceive His miracle-working power now and for all eternity. (John 1:1-5)

The Helmet of Salvation is all about our deliverance and redemption that is only found in Jesus! We need it because we are all sinners who need saving, and it is only through Jesus and His sacrifice on the cross that we can be saved and protected from the sin in our lives. We are forgiven of our sins, loved and accepted just as we are, and because of Jesus we have the promise of eternal life. The enemy cannot ever steal that away from us!

Do you ever wonder why the writers of the Bible, and people today, talk about ‘seeking God’s face’? What does it mean? Why is it important to them, and to us? May ‘seeking our Lord’s face’ become the highest priority in our lives. When we run to God first, longing for His presence and desiring His instruction, protection, provision, and direction, He fills us with the truth of His Word and His promises; we grow in our understanding of His character and personality, and we experience an increase in our growth, faith, love, peace and hope. Have you ever longed to have miracles occur in your life? As we look through Scripture, and even around us, we realize that miracles seldom occur in our comfort zones. Whether in our prayer life, personal witnessing, or daily obedience to Christ, may we step out of our comfort zones and grow in our boldness for Jesus. (Acts 4:29)

Over and over again, the world beckons to us: "Build your foundation upon what you can see. Gold is so beautiful, steel is so strong, gems glisten in the light, your growing bank account holds all you need!" We should choose not to be drawn in by the lies of the world. God tells us in His Holy Word that Jesus Christ is the only foundation that lasts for eternity. As we build our lives upon Jesus as our firm foundation, may we love in the same way that we receive unconditional love from Him. May we walk in a way that is pleasing to God by allowing His goodness to fuel our faith and draw us into a more intimate relationship with Him. And may we choose to sit quietly at the feet of Jesus, prioritizing time in God's Word and in prayer above the busyness of the world we live in. (1 Corinthians 3:11-15)

Every day we have choices to make – some small, some big! Every choice has a result, a consequence. Who or what holds the power to sway your decisions? Is it the Holy Spirit or the call of this world and the sin within it? The Bible tells us that through Jesus Christ, we no longer need be slaves to sin! Through the completed work of the cross, we are free and equipped to grow into the likeness of Christ so that our lives will be a living testimony that reflects His glory! So let’s choose life in Jesus! Let’s turn our hearts back to God and remain rooted in prayer, standing firm in our faith to defeat any attacks from the evil one. (Romans 6:6,11)

Our faith in God, Jesus and the Bible acts as a shield over our lives to cover any doubts or struggles. Faith is believing that Jesus is our Saviour and that we can have eternal life through Him. When Satan throws flaming arrows at us (lies or doubts), we need to know, without doubt, what we believe and why we believe it. God is faithful and trustworthy. The truth of His Word will help us stand firm and victorious in our faith.
"Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. We have been rescued! Through our acceptance of the death and resurrection of Christ on our behalf, we have been saved from an inferior life and an eternity without God. In today's world, we realise that a powerful battle is raging between the forces of good (our Lord's forces) and the army of evil (those of Satan). Ephesians 6 teaches us to clothe ourselves with the spiritual armour of God, so that we can stand firm and without fear in trying times. With the gift of salvation, we receive: power to persevere; strength to remain steadfast; a longing to pursue and trust God wholeheartedly; wisdom to discern between good and evil; and assurance of everlasting hope in and through Jesus. D.L. Moody, a well-known American evangelist in the 1800s, once said, "I'd rather live in the 8th chapter of Romans than in the Garden of Eden!" As we linger and meditate on the truths found in Romans 8, let us rejoice in Jesus Christ, knowing that He paid the ultimate price for our freedom from sin. Let us thank God for the beautiful and unique plans and purposes He has called us to, which will ultimately lead to His glory and our good. How blessed we are that we have been given the gift of prayer amid the uncertainty of our world today? We so easily fall into the trap of taking acts of kindness for granted. We may even neglect to notice the many blessings we receive from our Heavenly Father. We become entitled, expecting certain things and becoming unhappy when we don’t receive them. How often do we take the time to sincerely say, 'thank you,' to God and others? Gratitude is not just something we practice as a polite gesture. Genuine gratitude changes our hearts to love more fully, our minds to be more sincere and humble, and our attitudes to value others and give thanks to our Heavenly Father. (Ephesians 1:16)

May we ask our Lord to purify and fill our hearts with His life-giving joy, peace, love, grace and hope as we build our lives on a solid foundation of trust and faith in Him. May we long to step into a deeper relationship with Him through studying His Word. May we trust Him to continue His refining work in us, so that our lives reflect Him to the world around us! May we praise and worship Jesus and share the story of our salvation, and if we don’t yet have one, may today be the day! (John 14:6)

May we allow our Heavenly Father to make us new – purifying our hearts so that we reflect and glorify Him in all we do. May we be obedient in giving of our ‘little’, knowing that He can multiply it for His Kingdom purposes! May we sacrifice the things in our lives that are holding us back from serving God whole-heartedly. And may we be reminded that as we spend time in our Lord’s presence, He fills us with eternal hope, and equips us to share His LOVE, PEACE and TRUTH with the world around us. (Romans 12:1)

Let’s trade our worried and anxious thoughts for God’s perfect peace, as we put our HOPE in Him today! Let us not grow weary or impatient during our waiting seasons, but rather immerse ourselves in God’s Word – our source of hope and truth. May we give thanks in all circumstances. May we stand steadfast – praying bold prayers that impact and revive those around us! (Romans 12:12)

Let’s remember that through prayer and by immersing ourselves in God’s Word, we can remain firmly rooted and grounded in our Lord. He is faithful and we can hold on to His truth and promises over our lives. Let’s pray bold prayers this week… Prayers that activate our faith in our Lord’s ability to do the impossible. Let’s ask our Heavenly Father to restore and fill us with His joy and peace that truly transcends all understanding. Let’s look up with gratitude; fixing our eyes on Jesus and His promises; and trusting that His goodness and faithfulness will see us through life’s ups and downs. May we remember this week, that God is faithful as we walk in alignment with Him. He does answer our prayers in His perfect timing. He truly is our place of refuge and strength! Standing united in prayer is part of the heart and will of our Heavenly Father. Through prayer we can experience God’s love, His care, His peace and His joy in ways that cannot be put into words. We should come to God in prayer with intentionality and urgency – seeking guidance from Him on how to navigate life, especially during challenging and uncertain seasons. Praying together with fellow believers creates an amazing opportunity for us to examine our prayer lives. It reminds us how important it is to come together in unified prayer and fellowship, not just for ourselves and our loved ones, but for the world around us. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

How beautiful to think that our life-testimonies shine God’s light to the hearts of those around us. How pleasing to know that we do not need to be anxious about anything or any situation, because our God is always with us. Some days we may feel disheartened, BUT we can hold onto the restoration promises of our Lord for our lives. He builds us up! He provides fresh joy and peace every morning. He revives our hearts so that we can be fully devoted to Him, and obedient to His calling on our lives! May we ask Him to lead us to become more Christ-like each day. We do this knowing that we have a mission: To proclaim the good news and trust in our Heavenly Father’s grace, kindness, faithfulness and goodness. (Psalm 33:11)

God alone is the One who can truly refresh our souls with everlasting hope, unyielding love and unquenchable peace. We are here to build the kingdom of God – not just in our own strength, but alongside those our Heavenly Father has placed in our lives. We need to remember that nothing could ever separate us from the love and faithfulness of our Lord. This will help us to build walls of faith that will sustain us during difficult times. As we keep our eyes fixed on Jesus (our chief cornerstone), let’s trust Him for a heart of wisdom and gratitude.
