The Campaign for Jacob is a movement started by Phillip Folker, his sons William and Andrew in an attempt to gain support from friends and others who are victims to Parental Alienation. Jacob, his youngest son is being alienated from his father and brothers . On May 23rd, 2013, William, and Andrew moved back to the United States from Singapore to leave the abusive environment created by the childrens step mother, Gloria. They could not take Jacob with them. The Hague treaty did not allow it as it states that both parent’s consent is necessary for a child to leave international borders. Jacob has been completely isolated from his family by Gloria. The Campaign for Jacob was initiated to attempt to create a media platform to enable communication with Jacob, one that could not be taken away from him. The goal is to develop strong consistent communication with Jacob combined with annual visits here in the USA with Jacob. Jacob's father and brothers want him to know that he is loved, wanted and that he was never abandoned by them.
A sad but common family dispute between Casey Kasem's children and their stepmom (who has been married to Casey for 33 years) over access to their ailing father Casey Kasem, can occur in any family where one of the spouses with children, remarries.
In a Los Angeles Superior Court hearing, attorneys for Kasem's daughter, Julie, 38, told a judge that she was withdrawing her request for legal control of her father's healthcare as part of a confidential visitation agreement.
Andrew Katzenstein (Julie's attorney) stated that the problem "is over" following the hearing. "We're glad the case was able to settle."
This is an interesting debacle that happens almost every day somewhere in the country. In this case, the parties involved are working towards legislation that will give rights to adult children desiring to spend time with their elderly parents when the parent has remarried and the relationship between the adult children and the new spouse is contentious. The reason this case is interesting and important is because Jean Kasem is not an over night date or an on and off relationship. Jean is Casey Kasem's wife of 33 years. This case may affect standing laws across the country.

Today, Sybrina Fulton took the stand and identified the screaming as that of her son Trayvon Martin's. It was a moving moment and even the most seasoned journalist in the room had a lump in his or her throat.
The Prosecution rested today and Judge Debra Nelson denied the motion to acquit. She said that there was enough evidence both actual and circumstancial to turn the case over to the jury. Today was the first day that George Zimmerman wasn't laughing in court.

Judge Debra Nelson is now examining every possible juror with the established idea that whatever time will be spent on the jury and deliberating, One juror that had posted statements severely criticizing the Sanford Police Department (Jerry Cornelius) was escorted out of the building. His online rants state that the Sanford Police Dept needs an enema among other things.
Throughout the case, the defense has repeatedly stated that George Zimmerman IS NOT a racist and does not support racist ideas. Contrary to that premise, Robert Zimmerman Sr., the retired magistrate judge, has released an ebook which has become one of the fastest selling ebooks in recent memory nationwide on Amazon. The public will have a hard time separating Robert Zimmerman's racist thoughts and ideas from the thoughts of his son George Zimmerman who claims he is not a racist. The senior Zimmerman subscribes to very severe ideas about racism, etc. It will be difficult for the public not to think that George does not subscribe to them as well.

Jennifer Verraneault, former media executive who is dedicated to the advocacy of each child's right to have an active and loving relationship with both parents following a separation or divorce.
Ms. Verraneault has organized a group of Connecticut families affected by parental alienation, along with local legislators to change the way in which family court identifies this form of child abuse early in the legal proceedings as well as educating schools and the community of the long term psychological effects of alienation.
Ms. Verraneault is currently working with the Connecticut Judicial Committee to amend current laws and introduce new language that will provide family court judges the ability to act swiftly when alienation is identified and to impose sanctions as a deterrent to the parent who is consciously or unconsciously alienating their child.
Ms. Verraneault is also a Certified Guardian Ad Litem for the State of Connecticut and has been instrumental, along with her fiancé Jerry Mastrangelo, an alienated father of triplets in having the Connecticut Judicial Committee vote unanimously to form a task force in order to investigate how these cases are being handled in family courts across Connecticut.
This task force will present solutions to the committee for early detection and prevention of alienation and if not caught early, treatment necessary for the alienated child and family affected by Parental Alienation.

In the case of Lucille Ball & Desi Arnaz, DNA proved the couple indeed had a daughter prior to the births of Lucie Arnaz and Desi Jr. In the case of Carl LaBove, DNA proved he is not the father but even so - the law expects him to pay child support. Cyrille Aimée was born in Fontainebleau, France. Her father is French and her mother is from the Dominican Republic. She's got all the basic makings of a good "sofrito" for cooking (she's tasty and spicey) and she scats better than Ella Fitzgerald. Every year in June, her village Samois-sur-Seine, welcomes gypsies who come from all over Europe to set up caravans in nearby meadows for the Django Reinhardt Festival, in honor of the legendary guitarist who also once lived in Samois-sur-Seine. As a child, Cyrille fell in love with gypsy music and way of life. She spent evenings at their camps, learned their language and began to sing by the fire with Django's descendants. While Cyrille became adept at guitar, it was her voice that most struck her professor, who invited her to sing at the Django Festival in 2000—a decisive experience as Cyrille then decided to become a singer. Intent to continue studying music by day and performing at night, Cyrille elected to not join her family when they moved to Singapore, and decided instead to attend the American School of Modern Music in Paris.
This concert had no rhyme or reason. I threw it together because this young musician's voice is so delightful and unusual that I wanted others to enjoy it as well.

A federal lawsuit filed by two Irving women is supported by the Texas State Troopers own SQUAD CAR WEB CAM featuring the illegal vaginal and anal cavity searches on the side of the road after a cigarette butt was thrown out of their car window.
State Trooper David Farrell called in a female trooper to perform cavity searches of Angel Dobbs, 38, and her 24-year-old niece, Ashley Dobbs, because he said that he smelled marijuana and the women were “acting weird".
Angel Dobbs recalled that the female trooper, Kelley Helleson, asked for her permission to perform the search and then told her to “shut up and just listen.” Dashcam video shows Helleson searching the anuses and vaginas of both women with the same latex gloves in full view of other passing cars. When the women filed a complaint with the Texas Department of Public Safety, they were further threatened. they were told they would be charged with lying if they filed an affidavit.

ADAM FRANK's interests center on the intersection of astrophysical fluid dynamics, stellar evolution and supercomputer simulations. Hypersonic outflows occur in a variety of stellar environments producing some of the most beautiful structures seen in the night sky. Since the governing equations of hydrodynamics are highly nonlinear, the best way to investigate these flows is through the use of computer simulations. Follow this link to tour a slide set used in a recent lecture on our group's research activities here at the University of Rochester.
Much of my work to date has focused on the origin and evolution of these outflows. Currently my group is working to understand the formation of "bipolar" (double lobed) outflows at the extremes of stellar evolution. During the process of star formation jets and bipolar outflows are created. We are currently studying these flows using our pure gas dynamical and Magnetogasdynamical models.

SCOTT C. DAVIS, wrote THE ROAD FROM DAMASCUS. he is also the publisher of Dr. Carsten Wieland's book, A DECADE OF LOST CHANCES.
In an account of his travels to Syria in 1987, Scott C. Davis not only introduces us to contemporary Syria, which, at the time of his initial journey, had just been named a "terrorist state" by the U.S. government, but also to the Syria of tradition, the crossroads of Western culture.
The book is a gold mine of history and colorful snapshots of people and places. As a subject, Syria would stagger even the most intrepid reporter. Since colonial times in the Arab world, parochial nationalisms have been consolidated at the expense of more universal ones; in Davis' narrative, this tension is palpable in the omnipresence of the secret police and the gut-wrenching effect their sudden appearance always has on him (and on a variety of Syrians, it seems). An American lugging a huge backpack, Davis must respond often to their arbitrary and sometimes unsettling demands. Though he renders these scenes as comedy, the episodes only reinforce the feeling that contemporary Syrians live on a knife-edge of history.

JENNI RIVERA's memorial, took place today, December 19 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., it featured services led by her brother Minister Pedro Rivera Jr.. ROBIN LAMONT interviewed by Ian Williams. Born in Boston and raised in Brooklyn, I attended Carnegie-Mellon’s specialized drama program where I performed in and helped conceive the musical Godspell. Alyssa Harad grew up in Boise, Idaho. Her adolescence was spent reading, writing bad poetry and staying up late to study with her friends. To avoid babysitting, she started a small business catering local parties, the first of many food-related jobs. Folks in New York City are trying to get gas and being turned away at bridges and tunnels. Cars must carry a minimum of 3 people in order to come to Manhattan. Getting gasoline takes 2 to 3 hours.
Other states are sending power genarators and the rules about buying and selling gas across state lines shall be relaxed in order to ease the suffering. New Jersey has been the hardest hit. Seaside Heights as we knew it - is basically gone. Only a shall of its former self remains.

I am currently working on several projects in the Family and Children's law field on the role of the justice system and the government in the lives of families and children; a number of these projects have interdisciplinary aspects. I continue to do work related to child witnesses with psychologists, as well as with mental health experts on issues of alienation in parental separation cases. I am also undertaking a project with professors in psychology and social work on judicial interviews of children and the effect of involvement in the family justice system. I am also involved with the National Judicial Institute in judicial education programs dealing with high conflict family cases, self-represented family litigants, young offenders and child witnesses. My work on the constitutionality of Canada's polygamy law was cited by the British Columbia Supreme Court in its 2011 decision on this issue. A number of my recent projects have international or comparative aspects, and I have done work with justice system professionals and scholars in a number of countries, including the United States, Great Britain, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia and Hong Kong. I also continue to do work in Contract Law, and I am the co-editor of casebook in this field, which is used at a number of Canadian law schools, including Queen's.

A longtime friend of Sam Kinison obtained DNA testing that proves that the late comedian that died in Carl LaBove's arms, actually fathered a daughter with his (Carl LaBove's) wife. Comic Carl La Bove hopes the revelation will free him from years of unpaid child support penalties. Kinison was killed in a California car accident when his vehicle was hit by a drunk driver. He has no other known children.

Trujillo, in northwestern Peru, is the capital of the La Libertad Region. The city is located on the banks of the Moche River, near its mouth at the Pacific Ocean, in a valley of great cultural hegemony with Moche and Chimu cultures at its respective time.
Trujillo was twice designated as the capital of the country & the "Capital of the everlasting Spring". Trujillo is close to two major archeological sites of pre-Columbian monuments: Chan Chan, the largest adobe city in the ancient world, designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986; and the temples of the Sun (the largest adobe pyramid in Peru) and Moon.
The city centre contains many examples of colonial and religious architecture incorporating distinctive wrought ironwork. It includes residential areas, a central business district and industrial supply distribution to the various districts. The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Trujillo has its seat here. Catholicism still dominates and 10 colonial churches remain inside España avenue, with those of Huaman, Huanchaco and Moche within 15 kilometres of Trujillo's centre.

In spite of having suffered an earthquake, many locals are enjoying feigning fear that two Russian scientists Victoria Popova, Dr. Sc., Ph.D., and Lidia Andrianova Ph.D. have predicted a huge earthquake for tomorrow September 21st and 22nd, 2012.
The scientists' prediction of a huge and devastating global cataclysm has not encouraged Peruvians to make any arrangements for the impending catastrophe nor are the locals taking the prediction at all seriously (they are neither evacuating or running to the hills). The public is instead amused by the two women's predictions.

Jerry Mastrangelo is a 53 year old family man who spent his elementary years in a Catholic School and later graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with a Master’s Degree in Health and Science. In 1979, at the age of 20, while attending college, he owned and operated his first fitness center. Over the years he and his business partner expanded their business and became Planet Fitness Franchise owners. In the mid 90’s, Jerry hired Trudianne Scott, 13 years his junior to work in one of his fitness centers, then known as World Gym. They wed in September 1997. After many months of trying to become parents, On July 1, 1999 their triplets were born less than 2 lbs. each on the 25th week. In 2004, Trudianne asked Jerry for a divorce at which time he strongly suggested they seek the help of a marriage counselor. Things appeared to have been going well to the point whereby the counselor recommended reducing their visits. Then Trudianne started to complain about their family dog and asked Jerry to get rid of the dog; which he did. Jerry began to believe life was good again. However, in May 2005, Trudianne mentioned divorce for the second time. On Christmas Day 2005, the first Christmas away from his children and family, which was the beginning of a steadfast campaign to eliminate him from his children’s lives.

“In the coming weeks, Marissa Alexander, who was also found guilty of assault with a deadly weapon, will likely be sentenced to the same 20-year mandatory minimum prison term. While reasonable people can disagree on whether Mr. Wollard or Ms. Alexander deserve any prison time for their conduct, no one can honestly believe that these were the types of cases the legislature had in mind when it passed the 10-20-Life automatic gun sentence,” Stewart said. According to press reports and court records, Ms. Alexander’s husband, Rico Gray, abused her on more than one occasion before the incident that led to her conviction. Mr. Gray described one incident of abuse in a deposition.

I am a daughter of immigrant parents from Poland. Both sides of my family came to the United States after the war as refugees from the Soviet gulags in Siberia. As an immigrant's child, I strived hard to excel in school and was the first to achieve a doctorate in my family. In 1983, I married another immigrant from Havana Cuba. We shared a commonality not only in family history, but we also were students at the Marquette University of Dentistry were I received a degree in Dentistry. In addition, to having one of the top practices in the country, we published, lectured nationally and internationally in dentistry and business.
My marriage lasted 20 years. I had never truly understood it until it was over. I had been mentally and physically abused... dragged down 12 steps on my back, by my ankles. The word was control. I had married a narcissist and never knew it until he took the minds of my four beautiful children from me during the divorce. It was parental alienation at its worse and I found myself at the mercy of the legal system with no resolve in sight. My attorney, the guardian ad-litem, the court appointed psychologist and the judge all saw the horrific injustice and yet did nothing. Could they do anything? I collapsed from internal agony.
It was at that point that I had to make the most momentous decision of my life. Because I live in a 50-50% state, both parents have custodial rights unless one parent is totally unfit because of criminal record or such. I soon saw that because of his extraordinary behavior and need of total control, he would make it impossible to co-parent and my children's lives would be havoc. Friends and family members of Michelle Parker, missing since November 17, have begun a huge search effort. Michelle vanished the same day her episode of the People's Court aired on TV. She did not get the justice she was expecting, was told she'd have to pay for 1/2 the cost of the ring her ex-fiancé Dale Smith gave her that she had thrown over the railing of a hotel where they were drinking and fighting. Her family has to assure her that when she surfaces, that everything will be forgiven. This massive and highly publicized search will make it even harder for her to come home.

In 1973 Mike Krukiel's parents were among the first to be divorced under Connecticut’s new no-fault divorce laws. Mike saw plenty of fights between his parents leading up to the divorce. His father had moved out of the house and had been given the typical “visitation schedule” of Saturday overnight into Sunday every other weekend that included himself and his sibling. He was 7 years old. Time with his father was reduced from daily time together to every other weekend. Mike's mother began a campaign of denigrating his father and projecting her feelings of hatred for him onto Mike. He was always grilled by her when returning from visits with his father. He remembers she would always make him wait by the door when his father came to pick the kids up for visitation. She would require Mike's dad to knock on the door to their house, she'd come downstairs and start an argument often resulting in her denying the visitation in its entirety. Telephone contact with his father between visits was never allowed. If his father did call to talk to the kids, Mike's mother always intercepted the calls and questioned the children, start an argument or just plain hang up and not allow them to ever speak to him. For years, Mike's mother convinced him that his father had started another family and had other children that he cared about more than he cared for Mike & his sister. In time, Mike would learn that his father had a vasectomy while still married to his mother (that she had authorized). There was no other family. There were no other children. Sometimes, long standing friendships and relationships can take downward spirals that can affect us to our very core.
In one Florida case a Catholic nun was asked to take care of a child on a rather long term basis (for months at a time). With a notarized power of attorney, the nun traveled to her native Argentina to visit with relatives and took the child with her with the complete blessing of the child's parents.
That vacation would soon become a comedy of errors that read more like a Greek tragedy than a long term baby sitting assignment gone awry. The nun was accused of kidnapping and the accusation stuck. The case spiraled out of control and when the nun returned to the United States and landed in Miami, she was arrested and hauled off to jail.

Last weekend, on August 6th, 2011, our nation lost thirty of its finest Soldiers, Airmen and Sailors in the single largest loss of life for U.S. troops in Afghanistan. Thirty fathers, sons, husbands and brothers lost their lives in a horrific Special Operations helicopter crash in Afghanistan’s Tanji Valley. Eight brave Afghan soldiers were also killed in the crash. It is believed that the helicopter was downed by a rocket-propelled grenade, fired by a Taliban insurgent while it was transporting elite Navy SEALs to the scene of an on-going fire fight. US Army Rangers had been searching for a Taliban leader when they came under fire and a gun battle ensued. The Rangers called for reinforcements and the CH-47 helicopter was shot down while bringing the SEALs in to the fight. Parental Alienation and Family Court Cases involving Parental Alienation and Parental Alienation Syndrome (PAS) are perhaps the most vexing and difficult that exist in Family Court. These cases require careful and painstaking preparation, analysis of voluminous documentation, preparation of experts and collateral witnesses.
They can be difficult to demonstrate in court and include arduous steps that exceed the normal representation of a Family Law case without parental alienation. These cases exploit and wear down the system and do so in the service of the alienation.
Wendy Archer, Parental Alienation Awareness and Education Advocate, has been involved in Parental Alienation Awareness and the related necessary Family Court Reform since September 2009. Wendy founded The LRC Foundation Inc, a non-profit Texas Corporation.

Dr. John Woodall is a Board Certified Psychiatrist formerly of the faculty of Harvard Medical School and the Founder and Director of the Unity Project, a resilience learning system that was developed to promote resilient strengths in youth. We laid an American hero to rest today. Today, we returned Marion "Turk" Turner to the sea. Turk was born Marion Turner on April 22, 1918 in Moultrie, Georgia and enlisted in the United States Navy in 1939. He became an Electrician’s Mate and immediately volunteered for the submarine service. During his long career, he served aboard USS Sealion and USS Perch SS 176.

Nothing is a better predictor of future behavior, than past behavior. When I interviewed a parent recently, I did not agree that the family situation in that particular case, was a result of parental alienation and I was correct [both parents were in agreement].
The parent I interviewed, has "edited" our conversation to make the segment sound as he would have preferred. That being said, there are instances when Parental Alienation, while it may be a contributing factor, is only one of the many issues affecting a married couple.
On occasion, an individual feels that if he or she creates enough public discomfort on others, that those pressured will give in to the discomfort and offer the desired result [in order to make the agressor stop whatever pressure is being applied]. When the individual applies sufficient emotional and verbal persuasion, and it works, the individual feels justified. It is still emotional bullying and we will not give in to it.
There are some cases where one needs only to glance in the mirror to see the true source of one's problems.
