Are you ready to bounce out of bed in the morning? For you, if you're a high achiever, ready to shift from feeling meh to magnificent using a blend of hot science and cool spirituality. With solo episodes and fun interviews, you'll get the clarity and confidence you need, to bounce out of bed in the morning.
After months off the mic, I wasn’t sure how to return. What I did know was this …
It’s time to start disappointing others so you don’t disappoint yourself (thanks Elizabeth Gilbert). Time to stop draining your energy just to keep things smooth, so you can start noticing what peace actually feels like in your body.
It’s about the energy edits that don’t look big on the outside but feel huge in your body. I share the simple, and wildly uncomfortable, ways I’ve started saying no (without the novel). And how those decisions gave me energy I didn’t know I was leaking.
If you’ve been sitting on a decision you already know is a no, and haven’t let yourself make it (yet) this one’s for you.
Inside this episode:
Need support with your own energy edits? EDGE, my brand new 2-week mini container, is now open. The space between the knowing and the doing. If you’re craving your energy back, DM me “EDGE” on socials or send me an email amanda@amandaewin.com and I’ll share the next steps.
What if the real issue is that your true needs simply aren’t being met?
In this episode on the Bounce Out Of Bed Podcast, I sit down (literally) with Systemic Organisational Psychologist Bryn Edwards for a rich, eye-opening conversation about what it really takes to feel whole, grounded and more like yourself again.
Bryn shares his brilliant tree metaphor to unpack the seven layers of human needs that go far beyond food, shelter or chasing success. We explore everything from belonging and energy to intuition and alignment and what happens when your needs are distorted or overlooked.
It's an ep filled with wisdom, goosebumps and a whole lot of 'ohhh that makes sense now'.

What if checking in with your body before it screams was the most radical thing you could do?
This powerful episode isn’t about chasing more, doing it all, or pretending things are fine.
It’s about what unfolds when you choose creativity, softness, and truth, even when your energy is unpredictable.

Jess shares her deeply personal journey as a mother of twins with complex health needs, and how that chapter cracked her wide open. What followed wasn’t a new diet, but a new definition of well.

What happens when the career you’ve spent 30 years building no longer feels like the right path? That’s exactly what today’s guest, Ceri Hughes (a client of mine and now an Executive Coach), faced when she left a long and successful career in professional services to step into coaching. After years of traveling the world for work, the pandemic brought her back to her hometown in South Wales, where she began redefining success, reconnecting with what truly matters, and embracing mid-life transitions—not just in her career but in her health and way of life.
In this episode, we dive into:
🧡 Career transitions and redefining success - What led Ceri to walk away from corporate life and start a coaching business 🧡 Navigating mid-life shifts with courage - How she embraced the changes that come with this stage of life, from career to health 🧡 The power of values in decision-making - Why knowing what’s truly important makes every transition easier 🧡 Overcoming fear and imposter syndrome - Moving through the doubts that come with big life changes 🧡 Pausing for applause - The simple but powerful practice of celebrating small wins to build confidence and momentum 🧡 Authentic connections and support networks - Why you don’t have to navigate transitions alone, and how it's a lot more fun with someone asking you the questions you already have the answers to. but can't quite see it
Ceri’s journey is a beautiful reminder that it’s never too late to make a change, redefine your path, and create a life that feels deeply aligned. If you’ve ever felt stuck or unsure about what’s next, this episode will leave you feeling inspired and ready to take your next step. You can find Ceri Hughes on Linked In here

You might be a bit sick of hearing about the importance of sloooooooowing down. I recently got hit with a huge reminder and I'd love for that NOT to happen for you in the way it did for me. In this episode of the Bounce Out of Bed Podcast, I’m diving into the idea of slowing down to move forward confidently. Recording from the peaceful landscapes of Western Australia, I’ll be sharing how taking a moment to pause for applause can make a big difference in your journey.
I reflect on the importance of celebrating your progress, no matter where you are or how far you've come. Slowing down allows us to boost morale, gain insights from past experiences, and create a solid foundation for ongoing success.
If you’ve been feeling the pressure to keep pushing without taking stock of your achievements, this episode will encourage you to hit pause and recharge. I teach this stuff, because it's one of the things I've most needed to learn. Grab your journal and reflect on how far you've come, and how this practice can help you move forward with more clarity and confidence. IMPORTANT NOTE: in my recovering from sickness phase, the past 2 episodes were posted the wrong way around (Universe had other ideas) and so here I share that The Flourish Method (my signature group programme) doors close on the 16th September and in light of my boo-boo (or was it??!!) doors are open until the 23rd at this not to be repeated pricing. Stopping and taking a moment to pause, reflect, and celebrate getting here, to this point in your life is essential. As high-achieving, ambitious and senstive women, you can eaily find yourself pushing forward without stopping to celebrate how far you've come. Today, I want to encourage you to take that pause for applause—it’s a vital part of thriving in both our personal and professional lives.
I share some insights from my own journey as a mother over the past 23 years, as I'm about to celebrate my daughter Zoe's 21st birthday. I reflect on Zoe’s accomplishments in dance, including her role as a backup dancer for an Indian rock star during a North American tour. Despite facing mixed reactions to her career choice, I emphasise the importance of following your passion, even when it defies societal expectations.
Learn from the lessons I’ve learned through my parenting journey and why celebrating our achievements—big and small—can help you to thrive in ways you may not expect
Key Points:
Work with me The Flourish Method - my signature group programme is open and you can check it out here. 120 days of high touch coaching, so you can not only feel excited about life again, you can create a life you don't need a holiday from. I first met Crystal when I was working as a Podiatrist, having recently moved to Perth from the country. Our work together shaped her future career choice and we became friends. Crystal bravely shares her story about the challenges she's faced since becoming a Mum, not just with juggling a career, but with the loss of her parents, who chose not to have any contact with her the birth of her first child and how tough that has been to navigate. We talk about perfectionism struggles and balancing work with family time. Crystal shares how her Dad’s strict parenting style influenced her organisational skills but also led to an unhelathy level of perfectionism.
We also reflect on the importance of addressing old habits, self-love, and keeping healthy boundaries in our growth journeys. Crystal talked about her morning walks, which are vital for her before the chaos of the day starts. We discussed the challenges and societal expectations around motherhood, including her decision to work full-time and the support she receives from her husband in managing family responsibilities. It's a rich, raw and real conversation about breaking generational patterns and creating a better future.

In this episode, Charlotte Rooney and I dive into what it means to balance being an impactful leader while also having a life you love. We explore how leadership isn't just about being in charge but also about empowering others and making time for yourself, which can actually reduce stress and boost your happiness. Key Points: Redefining Leadership: Charlotte shares her thoughts on what it really means to be a leader. It's not just about being the boss; it’s about inspiring and motivating your team towards a common goal. 8:03 Delegation and Empowerment: Charlotte talks about how true leadership involves delegating tasks and empowering your team, not trying to do everything yourself. This challenges the old-school idea that leaders need to sacrifice their personal time to be effective. 12:45 Positive Outcomes of Personal Time: We discuss how prioritising personal time and delegating can lead to great benefits like reduced stress, more growth opportunities, better relationships, increased happiness, and a boost in creativity. 25:01 Personal Reflection and Creativity: I share my own experiences about how taking time for personal activities, like vacations, can enhance creativity and bring a sense of freedom both in personal and work life. 28:32 Letting Go and Realigning Values: Charlotte emphasises the importance of creating space for self-reflection and realigning with your evolving values to make choices that truly resonate with your priorities. 30:02 A Poignant Moment: Charlotte shares a touching story about how her nephew's perception made her rethink her life choices, leading her to pursue fulfillment and make a real difference. 33:19 Seeking Supportive Cultures: Charlotte advises that if your current workplace doesn’t support what’s most important to you, it might be time to look for opportunities that align better with your personal values and goals. 42:58 Charlotte Rooney is the founder of A half Managed Mind, a leadership coach & mentor for women in middle management who're tired of the tug of war between their team, their boss & their family (leaving no time AT ALL for themselves)! Using everything Charlotte has learnt from running emergency responses in war zones, 4 years at McKinsey (a global management company) & scaling a start-up with 300% year on year growth, she teaches women to be impactful, purposeful leaders without sacrificing their identity, values, family OR free time. 'If you don't think you have time to meditate, you need to meditate', is a quote I heard way before I started meditating regularly, and one I've always remembered. In this solo episode, I focus is on the whole meditation thing, breaking down its perks backed by science, my own experiences and those of my coaching clients, while also tackling the hurdles you, yourself might face. I stress the importance of just being there, in the moment, and not expecting too much. It can begin with short moments of stillness, literally seconds, and become it part of your everyday rituals. It gets personal too, sharing how meditation isn't just about getting organised but also about letting go and simplifying things to find your zen, which is where I began.

Woohoo!!! Welcome to Episode 100 of the Bounce Out Of Bed Podcast. To celebrate the 100th episode, I invited back a guest who had the most listened to episode and was also my very first guest on the Podcast. Jody radiates creativity and is a connector, creator and cultivator who steps outside her comfort zone every day. If you've ever thought you're not creative, this conversation is for you. Jody tells us how she is frustrated by the limited mainstream view of creativity and defines creativity as a way of living and communicating who you are to the world, not only through traditional art forms. Hear about the importance of intentional creativity and how to get courageous enough to step outside your comfort zone, regularly. Learn about letting go of attachment to outcomes and why you need to make mistakes. We share why NOW is the time to act on your ideas. Becoming your next level self can (and should) be fun. That doesn’t mean to say it’s going to be easy. You are going to have to move outside your comfort zone and think in a different way.
You’re going to need to outsource the things you don’t excel at and change the way you’ve been showing up.
A serendipitous connection happened with Jessica and I knew this was a conversation that was meant to happen. What a delight it was. Doing it your way with guidance to make it easier, changing beliefs that aren’t serving you and not having to know HOW things are going to work out. Trust your intuition and allow the flow of life.

Do you know your values and are you able to name your top 3 with ease? In this solo episode on the Bounce Out Of Bed Podcast I share the tools I use to help my clients determine their values, and why knowing your own values is so important. Making decisions and stopping the people pleasing f*cked-ness, is so much easier when you know your values. I share my own values and how knowing them has helped me, exponentially.
This episode is raw and real and talks about the very big need to stop and celebrate yourself, not just for the big things in life but for the little things too. It all adds up and I see, women especially, being really hard on themselves. I wasn’t exempt from this and pausing for applause is a miraculous thing. There’s so much to navigate in this human experience and constantly striving for the big next thing and not even celebrating when you get there, needs to stop! Leaving my marriage was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done and it didn’t happen without a huge amount of work (trying to make it work). Being kinder to yourself for where you’re at and what you’re doing starts here. You’re right where you’re meant to be!
Do you find yourself constantly wishing you had more? And when you get more of that thing, you want more of something else? In this solo ep I talk about ways that help to be here now, to strive for things and to know why and what those things are. Being more mindful is a very awesome tool to learn and to practice regularly and there is evidence based research that it works. Scientific studies have shown that the brain thrives on mindful practices and I share a few of my favourites with you here. I make reference to an article by Joshua Becker from Becomingminimalist.com, that ends with the quote:- "Enough is a reachable destination. More is a journey with no end.” Listeners will learn * Why constantly striving is detrimental * Why stillness works * How to be still * Ways to challenge your future based thinking * Where are you now? * When to notice future and past based thinking * How to be more mindful
“Rarely do we stop long enough to consider “how much do I need to be happy?” How much money, how much house, how expensive a car, how many pairs of shoes? Very few people sit long enough to answer that question. Instead, we just assume, for one reason or another, that “more than I have now” is the right answer. But here’s the problem: We can never arrive at contentment if more is always required to achieve it…. "Enough is a reachable destination. More is a journey with no end.” Joshua Becker Becomingminimalist.com ‘The more you meditate and practice mindfulness, the more the brain's synapses strengthen, which can help improve your life. Every time you indulge in those negative thoughts and feelings, you are strengthening their effect on you.’
Finding your dream career is one thing, taking the leap is another! When you know you’re meant for more, there’s no denying it. That niggle, that inner knowing that something is out there and it’s meant for you.
Andrea and I dive deeply into a conversation about the unexpected and pleasant surprises switching careers brought her and what she’s seen in the work that she does, relating it to what you can expect to happen to give you even more reasons to take the leap and follow your destined path.
Through real life examples of our own and our clients, you’ll discover;-
Andrea Horvath is a Career Transition Coach who helps women determine the career that ultimately lights them up and then supports them to confidently make that transition, even if they have no freaking idea of what that looks like.
Her signature approach helps women connect with who they really are at their core and shows them how to make decisions that are in alignment with who they are and what they actually want. Through that process a new career vision is born and then created.
Andrea was a Certified Professional Accountant in the corporate world, managing budgets between $10M-$20 and realized she was totally unhappy and unfilled. By all outside appearances she was successful, but she felt completely empty on the inside. From that place she began searching for and ultimately, finding the answers of how to feel completely excited and passionate about her career.
She first started her business as a side hustle around her 9-5 corporate job and since then has been able to transition to full-time and do what she absolutely loves and help other women step into their power and follow their hearts.
She lives in Vancouver, BC as a solo parent with her two teenage daughters and fur
baby.

Declaring loudly … F*CK ACHIEVEMENT You’re either striving for that next thing to make you feel better (the better house, job with more money, more clients, waiting for a big holiday, hanging out for Friday, relentlessly…) Generally, waiting for something external to shift so THEN you’ll feel better. ONLY THEN you will have nailed this human experience we call adulting. What if it’s all a load of BS? What if you could feel good, and I mean REALLY good, without any of the ‘things’ you think you need? It’s time to say fuck you to achievement and success. Do you feel guilty or lazy when you’re not doing something that you see as productive? Like reading a fiction novel, or doing something creative.. Fuck achievement. What are you really seeking and where is the disconnect? Could your current goal be the biggest cause of your anxiety? Something is missing! When I was doing EVERYTHING and putting everyone else first, saying yes all the time and filling my plate so full it was overflowing I was exhausted and fell in a heap. I shifted one thing and then BOOM, everything fell into place. It was way more simple than I thought it’d be. Imagine waking up and bouncing out of bed, without the stress of ALL THE THINGS hitting you as soon as you open your eyes. This ep is a great conversation with Ela Amzucu, an epic photographer (the Bounce Out Of Bed Podcast branding is courtesy of Ela), she's also an artist and an architect, a wife, and a Mum, who believes in real connection, the beauty of emotions and the power of images. I can attest to this. The connection Ela has, with her clients is phenomenal and it shines through the photos. And as I said, it's not just about the photos. So we dive into the importance of having photos of you how it was back in history, and the perceived vanity that we feel now as a society, about having photos of ourselves in our houses. We talk about how you're showing up in the world, the benefits of putting effort into how you look or to make you feel different. And how you can do it your way. How to make it easy to show up confidently so you can shine.
Shownotes:
The reason you lack confidence
Why some people don’t like being photographed (and how to change it)
Connecting with the person who’s holding the camera
Putting extra effort into the way you show up that doesn’t have to be a chore
Not having to align yourself with unrealistic beauty standards
Asking for help and outsourcing to the right people to show up in the world
“If you hold yourself with confidence, it doesn't really matter if you align yourself to fit the ‘expected’ standards these days.”

Join Alice and Amanda, in this raw and real conversation, where we talk about all the things we tolerate in life and how it’s high time we were more intolerant. A few years ago Alice made the difficult decision to end her 23 year marriage out of love & respect for herself. Alice went from being a wife & full-time Mum to single with adult children in a very short space of time. Paired with Amanda’s experience of divorce after a 28 year marriage and 2 now adult children, we share our own experiences in the hope that it will help you be kinder to yourself and have a better relationship with yourself and the people you love.
How you can be more intolerant
Tapping into your feelings when you feel uncomfortable
The importance of connecting with people that lift you up and elevate you so that you can be the best version of yourself
Stepping up and creating boundaries
Noticing how you speak to yourself, what you're saying
Taking time to stop and look at how far you've come
Valuing yourself above others isn’t selfish
Getting rid of things that don't serve you to do more of the things that do serve you

It’s time for me to say goodbye to my 30+ year career as a Podiatrist, having juggled Lifestyle Coaching and Podiatry for too long. It’s been so hard to let go and I kept hanging on ‘just in case. Being conditioned to believe I needed a safety net, ignoring the tugging at my heart and soul that said STOP, for way too long. I walk the talk and practice what I preach as a coach all of my life, except for this one part. When my clients talked about being in a job that was sucking their souls dry, I realised I was in one too.
In this episode, I share my truth, what it took for me to let go and the hot air balloon that has lifted off after being so heavily tied down when I did. It's raw and real and vulnerable at its core.
