Arsenal have secured their first Champions League final in twenty years, and Blake is having no fun. The stress of a final every week is about to make him crack. Or so he thought…until Ron watched Chelsea fall to Forest; leading Ron to unleash Griswold-worthy rant. And there in the corner is happy Ferris. Man United is on the up, and no stress of winning anything. Just happy and carefree.

Crack a cold one and have a listen!
All kinds of craziness as a result of the Euros and the Copa America! Ron is convinced that Harry Kane cursed as he and the England squad come in the runner up spot in Europe. across the pond onver in the USA, people are trying to watch the Copa America final from the air ducts in the Hard Rock Stadium. Complete mayhem as the Copa America final was delay 1.5 hours to get things under control. Pity that fans who paid thousands weren't able to get in to watch Messi get injured as Argentina win back to back Copa's.
With those tournaments have been completed, we make way for the 2024 Olympics. This is the first true test of the USWNT Emma Hayes Eras tour. Perhaps the USMNT for the Olympics will fair better than the USMNT that went to the Copas. One thing is for certain, it'll be a fun tournament on both sides.
Back at it after a bit of a break, the guys review the "Summer of Soccer" and all the craziness it has to offer! First up is the Euros with all the pressure on England to win! If they do win, will anyone like Southgate after? Then there is the Copa America... Where the Canadians advance and the USMNT crash out hard in the group stage. As a result, Berhalter gets shown the door at US Soccer. All that and much more! grab a beer and have a listen!
Ferris and Ron tie up all the loose ends to the 23/24 season including the suprise winner of the FA Cup Manchester Derby style. Man U shines on a day the world was convinced they'd loose. Ron has to console Ferris after dortmund loose to Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League final. Dortmund started so bright but their light faded and eventually went out.
On a happier note; A new era has begun....not Taylor Swift's era.... the Emma Hayes Era started with the USWNT. The guys are pleased as punch about that. They give a good acoount of the new manager and talk about how she came to be at the USWNT. Good things are on the horizon!
You'll want to be sure to listen to Ron's beer news as he has some really good news on an on-going story that has been pretty popular for the gents. That, and other news that's fit to drink! Grab an IPA or two and give a listen!!

Pursued by sinister agents, the Rebels races home through their final matches, custodians of the stolen plans that can save the league and restore freedom to the galaxy… The lads are back on the pod to chat the ever-tightening premier league race, take a look at Europe footie, and discuss Ferris’ recent adventure to the Spy Museum in Washington, D.C. The gents have a look back at the "What the What, It's the FA Cup" Semi-Final round matches. Chelsea somehow manage to play well to a tired Manchester City but it wasn't enough as the Stamford side bows out of the tournament. How on Earth did Manchester United not loose that match??? VAR...that's how, as Haji Wright's aura was allegedly offside.
They also cover a few of the Premier League matches that went on over the weekend before Ron's rant on his favorite blue streaked striker, Nicholas Jackson.
All this followed by news from around the other european leagues; including Bayern Leverkusen winning the budesliga title! this ends Bayern Munich's 11 year winning run. Is Harry Kane Cursed?
This is a jam packed episode with all the craziness that goes along with the Premier League winding down to a three way chase for the title. It's also crazy at the bottom of the table, who will get relegated and will it stand when the PSR rulings come out. Chelsea tops Man United then draw to Sheffield...United loose to Chelsea then dra Liverpool. Are we in the upside down?
For the beer news, Ron has a fun history quiz for the lads for National Beer Day. This one is sure to test you beer history knowledge!
Ferris then wraps us up with the USWNT winning their 7th (5th in a row) She Believes Cup as they top Canada in penalties after extra time!
Pull out a frosty beer and give a listen!
--Cheers
During the second week of the international break, seemed like a good time to deep dive the PSR (Profit & Sustainability Rules). Ron gives Blake and Ferris a detailed update on the Nottingham Forest appeal, Leicster City's fight against the Premier League and the EFL, Everton's "double Jeapoardy woes" and Manchester City a year after the 115 charges were handed down.
Ferris goes over the USMNT being crowned the Kings of CONCACAF in this edition of the La League a's Roundup.

While Blake is in North Cakalacky (Carolina), FOP Anthony fills in as host. The gents also cover the NWSL preview part one. The kitsare sensational, the new KC Current Stadium is beautiful and there is cheese everywhere!
Grab a beer and give a listen! Cheers!
Ferris and Ron anchor this episode with Blake having been called to work. Thankfully, the guys don't have to hear him wax poetic on Arsenal's 6-nil drubbing of Sheffield United. Who wants to hear all that??!!
Ferris is duely humbled by the Manchester Derby as Manchester is blue; Liverpool leave it exteremly late to take care of Forest and Chelsea snatch a draw from the jaws of a loss they should have won.
In order to clean out the studio fridge to make way for more tasty brew, the guys have a sampler of three new Flying Monkeys IPAs. Grab a favorite IPA and give a cheers and a listen!
Ferris and Blake tackle this pod, as Ron was suspiciously called into to work so he could avoid talking about Chelsea giving Liverpool their first silverware of the Klopp farewell tour. We also go over MLS week 1, new NWSL kits, and the USWNT at the Gold Cup.

The clash of reds is discussed as Arsenal top Liverpool. Did they make the case for being champions, or has the Liverpool defeat handed things to Man City? All will be discussed as Blake and Ferris are joined by special guest Anthony Smith (Tony Sounds Good). Tony is a lifelong Liverpool fan, and while Ron is traveling for work, has graciously agreed to discuss Liverpool’s loss against Blake’s beloved Arsenal.
We also take the time to discuss the state of all things Chelsea. We did it while Ron was gone so we didn’t have to edit all the tears out. (Travel safe, Ron! We love ya!)

In this episode the gents chat about the NWSL Decision Day and preview the upcoming MLS Decision Day. They also gently remind the MLS that somehow, NYCFC is still permitted to play at Yankee Stadium...So much for soccer specific stadiums.
Ferris runs down the current Manchester United sale rumores and a fast discussion is also held on the important matches through the international break.

After coming back from a trip to Canada, Ferris and Ron bring back some delicious beer to review from 4 Father’s Brewing.

The lads are all back in one place to look at how the dust is settling in a match-postponed-world of Premier League. Rafa is sacked, Tuchel says the boys in blue are just so tired, and everyone is seeing red in London as they blast Arsenal for the North London Derby postponement. The convo gets spicy. We close out with a return of our game show “What the What?! It’s the FA Cup!”.

Happy New Year! The Festive Fixtures have ended, and the Premier League is looking a bit different than it did a few weeks ago. For example: Man City is on fire, and Man United is a dumpster fire. (I guess actually that isn’t that different. But hey, Arsenal are managing to look better.) We take a look at the big four Premier League stories before getting into some beer news and looking at the rest of the soccer news around the rest of the world.

We are back to look at the recent loss of Chelsea to West Ham, Arsenal slipping, Aston Villa gaining ground, and Man United finally back on the rise? Time will tell, but the one thing know for sure, is Ferris brought some excellent beers in from a trip to Milwaukee for us to review before we kickoff the soccer talk.

Ole has stepped away from Man United, and Ferris has officially lost the bet with Blake on whether Ole or Arteta would get the sack first. It’s time to discuss the state of Man United as well as some other top stories in the Premier League. New managers are everywhere! We also discuss the NWSL championship and the MLS playoffs.
We hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. We are thankful you join us here for all of our footie banter. Cheers!

This episode marks the start of a slightly new format. It’s an effort to streamline our content, and most importantly, get you the Brewtiful Game on a more consistent basis. Let us know your thoughts. And as always, thanks for listening. Cheers!

After almost two years, we are all three finally back in the same time zone, same country, same studio! Before getting into the soccer talk, we get an education on a Chinese liquor Ron brought into the studio along with some lager from Beijing. Ferris just got back from a trek in Vermont and also brings a very interesting (and tasty) beer in to review.
The big English footie topic is: Man United getting whooped by their arch rivals Liverpool. We look at some other top stories from the Premier League and then do a quick tour around the major clubs in Europe to see where things stand.
It was great to finally be back together doing what we love. Cheers!

It’s time to look back on the 2020/21 Premier League season. It’s always sad to a see a season end, but in these times, we were already to shuffle this one off and move on to the next. But first, we have to seriously disagree on some of the big takeaways from the season. It’s also a time for us to do a quick wrap up on all the major European leagues and see where things ended. Or in the cast of the Super League, never started.
As always, the show opens with a quick review of some tasty craft beers. This time they are from FL, CA, and China.

The MLS and NWSL has kicked off. We get together in this episode to share a pint and our predictions for the upcoming seasons. Spoiler alert: usually the beer ends up being way better than our predictions when the season ends, but maybe this year is our year to get it right!
This pod goes global as Blake is home in Florida, Ferris is in Dallas, and Ron is in Beijing. The beer choices reflect that, and they were (mostly) very tasty.

It’s that time of year for our favorite games show “What the What? It’s the FA Cup!” Ferris tries to stump us asking questions about recently competing clubs that are not in the Premier League. We also take a look at headlines around the league. Is Man United going to rise to the top? We have opinions.

We are ready to kick 2020 out the door and enjoy a glorious time of Premier League football, the Festive Fixtures. In this episode, we look at the state of the league for the start of the festive season and see where we think things will land. Blake has…thoughts about Arsenal as Ron and Ferris will get coal in their stockings for laughing at him.
We tried some fun beers this pod. Ferris brings in the Cuddly Chupacabra from Tactical Brewing in Orlando, FL, while Black rocks the 2XMAS Ale from Southern Tier and Ron enjoys a classic dark German lager.
With that German dark lager, Ron has introduced us to a beer cocktail for the holidays. Here is the recipe:
MUDDY SNOWMAN 500mL dark lager/Schwarzbier
1 shot of Brandy
1 shot of simple syrup
1/2 dozen dark chocolate chips
1 Gingerbread cookie
Whip cream (fresh is best)

The Premier League is back and so are we! We finally have a chance to get together and do a preview of the new season. We are admittedly a bit late with a couple of match days already under the belt, but the time between season end and start was pretty quick. It’s time for predictions that I’m sure we’ll be terrible at by season end.

There is also a bit of an update from the Premier League, MLS, and NWSL to cover. Finally, we take a deep dive into the craft beer news around the world.
Our beers of the pod are both collaboration beers. The first is an interesting one from Tactical Brewing and Bogiwens Brewing called 3rd Wheel Hopgoblin. The second beer of the pod is one we’ve been talking about in our recent beer news. This beer is the new famous All Together, a worldwide collaboration beer brewed to support hospitality professionals affected by the shutdowns from Covid-19. The recipe created by Other Half Brewing in NY, has been shared with over 800 breweries worldwide. The one we try is from local Suncreek Brewery in Clermont, FL.

We are back, but not together, as we adhere to the current social distancing standard. Ron and Ferris call into the studio to chat a bit about soccer news. But let’s be honest, there isn’t much. So we go into some craft beer (good) news, and maybe get distracted by discussing Netflix’s TIGER KING. We are doing our best to keep sane in this wild time of our history, and we hope you can forget about your worries for an hour so, and join us for a cold one.

Well, we are here with a new episode in very weird times. We here at the Brewtiful Game hope you are able to shelter safely in place and stay healthy. And for those of you who can’t because you are on the frontline of essential jobs, we very much thank you. We hope we can provide some distraction to your shelter in place days.
So, what to talk about in these trying times? On the soccer front, we look at how different leagues are approaching their shutdowns during the pandemic. Plus, we vent our frustrations at U.S. Soccer after their president has just stepped down over the wretched handling of the equal pay case with the U.S. Women’s National Team. We think we might have a solution to their problems in our humble opinion. (Spoiler alert: EQUAL PAY!!!)
Beyond these soccer and beer topics, we all have clearly been cooped up inside, as this episode gets a little weird. We go from incest Folgers’ commercials to Olestra chips that cause anal leakage. In other words, we had a great time letting off steam. We hope you can hang out with us and do the same through our show.

We are all three in the studio for this one as we look at the last week of Premier League matches. Blake and Ferris are feeling about their respective teams, Arsenal and Man United, so a Moo Thunder bet is made. The big topic of the week was VAR and it’s lack of consistency. It’s enough to drive a fan of the beautiful game to drink. Speaking of…

The NWSL Final is set, and we take a quick look around the rest of the leagues in Europe.

We had two beers of the pod, one for us here, and one for Ron in Beijing. Here in the USA, Blake and Ferris had a listener beer sent in from Jeff in New York. The beer was a pilsner-style from Industrial Arts Brewing Company from Garnerville, NY. The second bee was a baby IPA Ron procured in China.

We were finally able to sit down and discuss the final of the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Spoiler alert: we have a lot of gushing things to say about the USWNT. I think we were still just as excited as we were when the final whistle blew. From the highs of victory, we go the other route and discuss the Gold Cup final.
In this special episode, we send Ron off in style before work takes him to Beijing for the next two years. But don’t fret, he’ll still be joining us remotely, this is just his last time in the studio for a while. This special occasion called for three beers. One to celebrate the US Women’s National Team’s World Cup Victory, another beer that contains a throwback to Ron’s childhood in New Jersey, and a third beer that is the rarest (and most valuable) that we’ve had on the show. In this episode, we talk World Cup, Gold Cup, the Copa, and Frank Lampard becoming the new Chelsea FC manager. Beer reviewed in this episode was provided by Ferris, and he threw us some curve balls. First up was the American Red Lager from Budweiser (definitely the first time they have been on the show), and then a crazy porter from Florida craft brewery Due South. It was their Mexican Standoff; a porter brewed with chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon, and habanero peppers.

We are back after a bit of a break to discuss the finals of Europe. Some (all?) of these finals were not the most exciting, but they do perhaps give us a glimpse of the Premier League moving forward. Especially when it comes to concerning the dominance of Liverpool and Manchester City.
Our beer review this episode is a listener beer sent in by a lover of nerdom the speaks fluent Blake. The beer is Tropicália by Creature Comforts from Athens, GA. It was featured in the Marvel film AVENGERS: ENDGAME, where it was enjoyed by Thor himself. When listener Jared Ross King saw Blake share an article about the craft beer making it into the film, Jared knew he had to send some for the show. Jared, you rock!
The end of the 2018-2019 Premier League season is upon us. We celebrate not only a fun season but our three year anniversary of starting the podcast. After watching the trophy get lifted, we jumped into the studio to reflect on all that this wonderful season had given us. During the show, we also look at how bad or accurate some of our predictions were, and sum up our favorite moments of the season.
We had FOUR beers to review for this show. (I apologize in advance). It was a wide variety of styles starting with a farmhouse Imperial Stout called Black Metal by Jester King Brewing, the Schevchenko 9 Euro Dark Lager from Four Fathers Brewing, a Bohemian Pilsner from Patagonia, and a Bourbon Barrel aged limited release of Polygamy Porter from Wasatch Brewing.

The Premier race is coming to a close. It looks like Man City and Liverpool are up for the challenge, but we discuss how the rest of the top 6 seem to not even care about staying in a Champions League spot. Speaking of the Champions League, how about that Messi goal? We dive into Barcelona vs. Liverpool, as well as Ajax and the Spurs semi-final matches. Last but not least, we take a look at the newly announced the U.S.A.’s National Women’s Soccer Team World Cup squad.
Beer of the pod is a craft Mexican style lager from Chihuahua Cerveza brought in by Blake. Great beer for chatting some soccer over.

Ron is freshly back from China with a ton of jet lag as we sit down to discuss the latest soccer happenings. The Premier League top 6 race is on as Ferris’ beloved Man United currently sit below Blake and Ron’s respective teams, Arsenal and Chelsea. We then look at the massive Champions League win of Tottenham over Manchester City and finish up with our predictions for the NWSL season that has just begun.
Since everyone was so tired from work and travel, Blake brought in an appropriate pick-me-up beer for us to review this episode. He went with a Central Florida brew from Brew Hub called Matte Black; a schwarzbier, or black lager, that was brewed with cold brew coffee.

We are back after a break to talk some soccer and craft beer. In this episode we talk about the recent match we attended of the USMNT vs Ecuador, Premier League, and MLS Week 5. In that last one, we dive a bit into the frustrations we are having with our local Orlando City Soccer Club.
The beers of this pod are local ones brought in by Ferris. The firs is a Brut IPA called Brut Zero from Ellipsis Brewery here in Orlando, FL. The second review is another Orlando beer called Joyland American IPA from Ivanhoe Park Brewing Company.

As each team is previewed, we also take a look at the top brewery where the stadiums are located.

So much drama to talk about; Spurs' manager Mauricio Pochettino lashes out at referee Mike Dean, and Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga refuses to leave the match after manager Maurizio Sarri tried to substitute him off. There is a lot to unpack. Plus we take a look at the Eastern Conference of MLS and preview their 2019 season.
Beers of the pod were provided by Blake. We start with a barrel aged sour red from local Florida brewery Crooked Can, then end with another barrel aged beer in New Holland Brewing’s Dragon’s Milk.

Lot to talk about in this episode. Chelsea got taken behind the shed for a good ol’ fashioned butt whooping’, the FA Cup final teams are starting to shape up, during the UEFA Champions League Manchester United has their first loss under their new manager, and Tottenham soars past Dortmund. We also play the final round of ‘What the What?! It’s the FA Cup!”.

We are back with another addition of the new game show “What the What?! It’s the FA Cup!”. We also dive into some of the crazy upsets from the Premier League’s 24th match week. Bournemouth was on fire! Chelsea was…not. In fact, this match inspired a song parody that starts around 1:15:10 on the show. Enjoy.
Our beers of the pod are Brough in by Ron. The first beer is a highly rated White IPA from Moa Brewing in Marlborough, New Zealand. We finish off the show with a beer from Hespeler Village in Ontario, Canada. It’s a Four Father's Brewing IPA from their scratch series. This was batch IV 008.

It’s time to talk Premier League, and discuss what Manchester United should do when it comes to finding their permanent manager. We also talk a little MLS Super Draft, and cover some English Football espionage that occurred recently.
Our beer of the pod brings a history lesson with as we go try the All Saints Einbecker Ale from Castle Church Brewing Community. This beer is based on the ale that Martin Luther himself preferred, and was very popular in the Middle Ages. This new brewery recently opened here in Central Florida, and is actually a church that is part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. For those of you visiting Orlando for vacation, it’s located near the airport, so plan accordingly.

We take a look at the big news of Christian Pulisic joining Chelsea FC, and discover a new gameshow called “What the What?! FA Cup!”
The first beer reviewed in this episode comes from a listener, it’s a delicious pilsner from Pfriem Brewing in Hood River, Oregon. Ferris surprised us with a second beer for the pod, and it is from none other than the musicians of “Mmm Bop” fame, the Hanson Brothers. I can safely say, we weren’t expecting that.

Boxing Day is here, otherwise known as Soccer Christmas, and this glorious day gives us tons of Premier League matches to talk about. But let’s get real, the reason we really love the Boxing Day Special, is because we get to try three new Holiday brews. This year is very special, because all of the brews come from three different listeners. Thank you all so much!
Our first beer is Doggie Claws from Hair of the Dog Brewery in Portland, Oregon. Not only did this delicious barely wine show up for us, but Matt from Portland gave us his report from attending the MLS Cup match in Atlanta. Thanks for an inside look from a visitor’s view, and for this great beer, Matt! Our next beer is Office Party from Abita Brewing, and the final is The Chocolate Manifesto from Flying Monkeys Craft Brewery. It was a treasure trove of new holiday favorites.
We hope you have had a wonderful Holiday season, and are primed to have a very happy New Year. Thanks for joining us for 2018, here’ s to 2019. Slainte!

José, José, José…we are going to miss having you in the Premier League. In this latest show we talk some recent Premier League matches, but the discussion is really all about the firing of José Mourinho and what Manchester United will now do to regain glory. We also discuss the new playoff format MLS has unveiled for next season.
We review four different beers throughout the soccer talk of this episode. The first, brought in from a listener, is an MLS themed beer from Three Taverns Brewery in Decatur, Georgia. It’s their Rowdy and Proud pale ale for Atlanta United. The next three beers are brought in from Ron continuing our New Zealand beer education. We try three pale ales from Montheith’s Brewing Company located in Greymouth, New Zealand.
From all of us here at The Brewtiful Game, have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

We talk the highlights of last week’s Premier League matches, how things have shaken out to the Round of 16 for UEFA Champions League, the draw for the FIFA Women’s World Cup, and last but not least, Atlanta United being crowned this season’s champion of MLS after a fantastic season.
Ron keeps bringing the beers from down under as he brings in a beer from Bridge Road Brewers in Beechworth, Victoria, Australia. It is their super rare holiday seasonal, MAGICAL CHRISTMAS UNICORN Vanilla Ice Cream Ale. Wow! What a beer. As you’ll hear, this one really caught us off guard.

We are still stuffed from Turkey, and Ron is back from his trip to New Zealand ready to talk some Premier League, Champions League, and MLS. In this episode we talk about an angry Juan Mata being disrespected by Raheem Sterling as Manchester United gets squashed by Manchester City. After covering the recent big Premier League matches, we look at Borussia Dortmund smacking down Bayern Munich, and then how MLS playoffs have shaken out so far.
Ron brought in three special beers from his travels for this episode. The first two are found in Australia. The first brew is a Melbourne Bitter, one of Australia’s best selling, and most common beers. The next Aussie beer is a craft brew from Sow & Piglets Brewery in 12 Apostles, Australia.
The final beer of the pod was in honor of Veterans' Day. The beer came from veteran owned Tattered Flag Brewery in Middletown, PA. It was a delicious IPA called ‘Knife Fight in a Phone Booth.” Definitely one of the best beer names we’ve had on the show.

We are back, and so is the Arsenal. We look at how the Gunners form is rolling along, as well as what happened in week 9 of the Premier League. This of course includes the almost-fight of José Mourinho and Chelsea’s Maro Ianni. From there we look to the almost complete MLS Playoff picture, and the qualifying of the U.S. Women’s National Team for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
An awesome listener from southern FL provided us with two fantastic beers. One from Due South Brewing, and the other from 26 Degrees Brewing. For those of you in our Premier League fantasy competition, these beers were provided by the manager of Krul Summer FC, who is currently sitting at the top of the league. Give a listen for our review, and thanks so much to our listener for introducing us to these brews.

After celebrating episode 100, it’s time to get back into the beer and soccer with episode 101. We look at top matches from the Premier League’s eighth week of matches, and talk a lot about José Mourinho. We also look at the Manchester City and Liverpool draw, Chelsea being so consistently good, and the fact that Arsenal’s current run of great form sees them sitting back in the top 4. After Premier League talk, we go into the MLS Playoff hunt, and World Cup Qualifying for the USWNT.
This week’s beer was a gift brought in from Western North Carolina, provided by Blake’s mom. We check out Catawba Brewing Company’s HOPNESS MONSTER India Pale Ale.

On this episode we look at some top matches from week 6 of the Premier League, and then look at the playoff hunt going down in MLS. We also look at North Carolina Courage and their fantastic run into, and winning the NWSL Shield and Championship.
This show wraps up with a look back at some of our favorite moments and beers tried from the last 99 episodes.
For this anniversary episode, we each brought in a beer to review. Ferris brought in Left Hand Brewing’s Oktoberfest, Blake introduced the crew to Sierra Nevada’s 2018 Oktoberfest brewed in partnership with the world’s oldest brewery, Weihenstephan, and finally, Ron brings in a Halloween themed beer in Southern Tier Brewing’s Warlock.

We then take a deeper dive into MLS and the NWSL as both American leagues are moving close to the playoffs. We do get sidetracked a bit discussing the dire situation in which our local Orlando City Soccer Club finds itself.

Premier League is almost back! We are so excited to share our second Premier League season preview with you. Time has flown by. We take a look at the upcoming season, and make our predictions on how things will unfold.
Ron brings in a listener beer for us to try this episode. Despite the fact we've already tried two of their beers on previous episodes (and they were...not exactly hits with the gang) one of our longtime listeners wanted us to give a third beer from Butternut Brewing a chance. Is third time the charm? We've tried Moo Thunder and Porkslap on previous episodes, but this one is their IPA Farmhouse ale called Snapperhead. Ferris' reaction to this before we actually tried the beer, says he didn't exactly have a lot faith this would turn out well.
Ron also had a second listener beer from one of our Canadian followers. This one was the Powerhouse Pale Ale from Mt. Begbie Brewing Company. I think this was his backup plan in case things went south with the first beer.
We'll be running another Premier League Fantasy contest, so keep an eye out for details.

After the World Cup talk, we discuss the hiring of James O'Connor to MLS side Orlando City SC. We also take a bit of a dive into the overall state of MLS.
We have two beers to review this pod. The first is brought to us by Ferris, and it is from 7venth Sun Brewery in Dunedin, FL. It was a sour Berliner Weisse called Freak Your Tiki, and was unlike anything we've had on the show so far.
Our second beer was brought in by Blake, who also kept things local with a brew from Cigar City Brewing from Tampa, FL. This Red India Pale Ale called Tocobaga was a nice addition to their already fine line of ales.

In this new episode, we talk some favorite highlights and look ahead to the knockout rounds. We end the show with our thoughts on Wayne Rooney joining MLS as a player for D.C. United.
The beer of this pod is brought to us by a listener from New York (thanks, Jeff!). It's a very juicy, double dry hopped IPA called Down Under Bomb from Sloop Brewing Company. It was as cloudy as orange juice, and super citrusy. Give a listen to the beginning of the pod for our full review.

Ron is back from Japan and we have a great time with all of us back in the studio. Blake's new baby will be here in a week, so Ferris and Ron went in together on the beer picks and made this episode Blake's Beer-a-Palooza. We discuss Arsenal winning the North London Derby against Tottenham, Machester City looking dominant, Chelsea back in strong form, and Pogba bringing his magic back to Man United.
For the beer reviews of this episode, we three delicious brews. First off we have, St. Peter's Cream Stout from the UK, followed by Belgian beer St. Bernardus Abt 12, and we end with a strong local Imperial IPA from Big Top Brewery in Sarasota, FL.

We are excited with this episode to join the All In Sports Talk Network. This show starts off with us chatting to Ron while he is in Osaka, Japan, then move on to Premier League, MLS Cup Playoffs, and US Soccer president news. Before Ron hops off the phone while in Japan, he takes the time to rub in in that his beloved Chelsea beat Ferris' Manchester United, and that Blake's favorite club Arsenal fell to Manchester City. What a jerk.
On a happier note, Blake brings another tasty beer from Lancaster Brewing. It's a delicious New England style India Pale Ale.
Everton cans their coach after a thrashing by Arsenal, and Man United lose to the valiant playing Terriers of Huddersfield. It's Premier League matchday 9 discussion! We also look ahead to MLS playoffs and how we think their schedule needs work.
Ferris goes with a great Oktoberfest Märzen lager from Big Storm Brewing this week's beer of the pod.

In this episode we talk the dominance of Manchester City, the parking the bus of Manchester United, and the utter failure of Arsenal and Chelsea to win games they had no business losing. Ferris also gives us a report of his experience at the NWSL Championship where Portland Thorns were victorious. We also discuss the recent Subbuteo tournament we played at in Orlando, hosted by Garage Soccer. Ferris was very excited to come in third and snag a medal.
The beer of this pod is a collaboration brew from Lancaster Brewing and Cox Brewing, both located in Central Pennsylvania.

What more is there to say? USMNT does not qualify for World Cup for first time since 1986. We serve up a slice of hate-cake with a little side of hope as we wallow in the misery that was watching the USA play against Trinidad Tobago.
The good news of the evening is Ron introduced us to the only Trappist brewery outside of Europe. We tried Spencer Brewery's Trappist Ale, brewed by monks of Saint Joseph's Abbey in Spencer, Massachusetts.

In this antics filled episode, we have way too much fun talking Premier League, and the NWSL. Maybe we are a little excited the National Women's Soccer League Championship will be held in Orlando this year. And maybe Blake had the day off grilling and enjoying some beverages before this pod was recorded. We can neither confirm nor deny.
Ferris brings in a great fall beer for us to review from Anderson Valley Brewing Company.

After a week break, the boys are back to review an awesome brew from Lancaster Brewing Company and discuss what's been happening in the English Premier League and MLS. Our beer was caffeinated, so we might have taken a detour into creating a Netflix style British mafia tv show starring some of our favorite soccer players.
Once we get back to the soccer, we discuss the rise of the Man City juggernaut, Chelsea's star striker, and the antics of José Mourinho. When then move to the domestic game and the road to the MLS Cup. This also includes us wallowing in the misery that is the current state of Orlando City Soccer Club.
Blake brought the beer that was shared to him from the brewmaster of Lancaster Brewing Company in Lancaster, PA. It was a delicious IPA brewed with coffee that perked us up perfectly for the show.

After the international break, and weathering Hurricane Irma, the boys look at the Premier League and ponder the marvel of how quickly Frank de Boer was fired as manger of Crystal Palace.
In honor of Florida holding strong against the hurricane, Ferris introduces a great beer from Big Storm Brewing Company located on the gulf coast of FL.

We try to laugh through the pain of watching the last two USMNT World Cup Qualifier matches. A great beer from Toppling Goliath Brewing Company in partnership with The Field Museum in Chicago helps us along with that. Ron shares some news from the craft beer world, and Ferris gets feisty discussing Orlando City SC's recent 0-4 drubbing the faced at the hand of New England. Blake is just happy we aren't talking about Arsenal.
Blake takes a deep dive into his anger at the current Arsenal situation, and serves up a hearty helping of hate cake. Ferris and Ron desperately try to talk about the rest of the Premier League weekend, but Blake's rage kept bringing it back to Arsenal. Thankfully, Ferris brought a great IPA from DuClaw Brewing Company to calm the waters. (Spoilers...it didn't work.)
In honor of the Arsenal vs Liverpool match, Ferris brought in the Fast Faster & Disaster IPA from DuClaw Brewing Company. Blake decided, that if Arsenal was going to be discussed, he would need something extra, and provided the Diplomatico Añejo Rum. (It's hard being an Arsenal fan right now.)

He then proceeds to start handing out presents from his trip to Beijing. It's like Christmas in July! Then, after MLS and Gold Cup discussions, Ferris accidentaly breaks a bottle of gin on air. After a quick break for clean up, we return to talk NWSL and some Premier League news. We are a bit ridiculous in this episode...you have been warned.
Ron's beer pick this week came Nickelpoint Brewing Company in Raleigh, NC. We tried their smooth Vienna Lager.

In this slap-happy episode (it's been a long work week for all of us), we talk MLS, NWSL, and Video Assistant Referee. We apologize in advance for all the terrible jokes.
Ferris had the beer choice this episode. In an effort to clean out his fridge, he brought two choices for this show. A tasty American Pale Ale from Tampa Bay Brewing and a very drinkable choice from Salt Water Brewery were his all-Florida picks.
Subscribe to us on iTunes or wherever you listen to podcasts. Thanks for telling your friends about the show. Cheers!
In this episode, we talk the recent World Cup Qualifying matches that the US Men's National Team took part it. After covering what we think of Bruce Arena's newly revived team, we cover the US Women's National Team and their friendlies played over the same weekend. There has been some manager news back in the Premier League, and since we already miss it the recently departed season, we get sucked back into the Premier League vortex.
Blake had the beer pick for the pod, and chose to go back to one of his favorite breweries. It was a refreshing twist on an IPA from 21st Amendment Brewery. The Brew Free! Or Die Blood Orange IPA turned out to be quite the group pleaser.
We have a lot of European football finals to dsicuss in this latest epiosde. We talk the FA Cup, Champions League, UEFA Europa Final, and Premier League manager news. The show gets wrapped up with a look at MLS standings and a firey debate on how the MLS looks at its schedule.

Wow! With this Premier League wrap up episode, we have officially been producing The Brewtiful Game show for a year. Thank you so much to everyone that has been listening along the way. We love doing the show for you all, and we look forward to sharing the next year with you, as well. (Correction: due to a typo on show notes, we stated Liverpool was third and Manchester City was fourth. That should have been the other way around. Sorry. We were excited to celebrate our 1 year.)
Now, on to the new episode. For our year anniversary, we go with the same topic our first show covered. We wrap up our thoughts on another fun Premier League season. We pick our top highlights, and see how we did with the predictions we made. The tally of our fantasy league is discussed, and we see who the winners and losers are.
Ferris brought the beer, and in honor of the anniversary, picked the three different beers we had for our very first episode. A sentimental and delicious choice.
That wasn't the only beer consumed in this episode. Blake and Ferris had a bet about weather Manchester United or Arsenal would end up higher than the other. Ferris lost this bet, and had to drink a strange concoction of a beer float made with Moo Thunder.
Again, we thank you all so much for listening. You give three friends an excuse to get together and be idiots while chatting about beer and soccer. We are so grateful.
We have way too much fun chatting and laughing over soccer in this episode. We cover not only recent Premier League, MLS, and NWSL, but also talk about the state of soccer coverage in the USA as a whole.
Blake has the beer pick, and chooses a limited edition from the world's oldest brewery. Give a listen to hear what we think of the Kristall Weizenbock from Weihenstephaner Brewery.

Ron brings in a beer from a great brewery: Hoppy Table Beer from Allagash Brewing Company. His journey to get this beer up in North Carolina also leads to a crazy origin story of the South of the Border tourist trap on the border of North and South Carolina.

Our beer of the pod is a tasty one Blake brought in from Tampa Bay Brewing Company. He picked Quat, their seasonal fruit ale brewed with fresh Kumquats.
Happy kickoff of MLS to all of our listeners!

In honor of Valentine's Day, we open this pod with love poems dedicated to our love of the Premier League. An Arsenal heavy discussion is had regarding the future of Arsene Wenger after the drubbing the Gooners took at the hands of FC Bayern Munich, and we look ahead to the FA Cup schedule.
Ron was responsible for this episode's beer pick, and he provided another rare one. This time he went back to Bell's Brewery and introduced us their Hopslam Ale.

After a short break, we are back in the Brewtiful Studio to talk English Premier League Soccer. We discuss match days 23 and 24. We also discuss how we think the English press would have covered the Patriots' win over Atlanta in the Super Bowl. Random references in this episode include: Back to the Future, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, The Rock starring Sean Connery, and the possible creation of a sexy beer discussion call-in line.
The beer of the pod was picked by Blake. From 21st Amendment Brewery, we introduce you to El Sully. It is an American craft brewery's take on a Mexican lager.
-Love the beer, cherish the game. The Brewtiful Game
It's back to the English Premier League as we discuss all the points dropped last weekend, and how Chelsea has its foot on the pedal. Are the already destined for glory? Blake and Ferris hope not, but Ron can't stop smiling.
Ferris brought in a great beer pick for this episode. In honor of the Icelandic Swansea midfielder, Gylfi Þór Sigurðsson, he brought in an Icelandic Arctic Pale Ale from Einstök Brewery. This beer is definitely one of the favorites so far. Skál!!!

In this pod special, we discussed the recent NWSL Draft and FIFA & CONCACAF awards bestowed upon several of the players from the United States Women's National Team. With Ron still under the weather, Ferris and Blake were joined by local NWSL and women's soccer expert Caitlin Elliott. The other big news to cover was all of the USWNT stars opting to postpone their NWSL play (or leave the NWSL completely) for a chance to play in Europe.
Since Caitlin was visiting our studio live for the first time, she wanted to provide the beer of the pod. She picked a good one in Green Man Brewery's delicious porter. We had a lot to say about this beer.

Ferris had the beer pick this week and chose to go with a London beer in honor of a London crowded top 4 of the table. Fuller's London Pride made for a delicious pairing to this episode.

After the Premier League has stuffed as many matches as possible at the end of December, and the beginning of the new year, we have a lot of to talk about. We also look back at the predictions we made at the beginning of the season to see how they are faring. We talk about the Premier League's great manager culling of the bottom teams, and also take a look at the national call-ups for USA's Men and Women's National Teams.
The beer review for this episode was a fancy one. Ron introduced us to the Belgian made Trignac XII from Castle Brewery Von Honsebrouck. It was a Belgian Trippel aged in congac barrels. Give a listen to see what we think of it. It was so fancy, we had to drink pinkies out.
Thanks for joining us for our first year. We hope you have a happy 2017.

This is our Boxing Day Special. After watching all the Premier League Boxing Day matches, we stepped into the studio to talk about those games, and wrap up the soccer year so far.
Since this was our first Boxing Day Special, Blake decided to go big with the Christmas beers. They are all from Belgium, they are all delicious, and they will all keep you warm on a cold night.
The first was the Christmas Ale from St. Bernardus, followed by the Gouden Carolus Noël, and we finished off with the Scaldis Noël from Dubuisson. There was a lot of good discussion about these beers (and good discussion BECAUSE of these beers).
We hope you all have had a happy holiday season. Thanks for joining us along the way. Here's to 2017!
Cheers!
-Love the beer, cherish the game. The Brewtiful Game.
We gathered together a few days before Christmas to talk a bit about recent Premier League matches, and some soccer news that is closer to home for us Orlando-based soccer fans. We called up our resident NWSL and all women's soccer expert, Caitlin Elliot, to discuss the recent news of Alex Morgan deciding to play a part of next season in the France. This will leave her missing a few months of the upcoming season with the Orlando Pride. We also discussed Caitlin's unfortunate choice of becoming a Hull supporter in the Premier League this year. At least she got a sweet Hull City onesie out of it.
Since it is close to Christmas, Blake introduced the crew to the legend of Krampus with Southern Tier Brewing's seasonal Imperial Helles Lager. You can enjoy his dramatic reading of the legend of this Krampus beer. Sound effects were provided live by Ron and Ferris.
We will be recording a special Boxing Day episode immediately following the Premier League matches on Boxing Day, so be on the lookout for that. We'll also be live-tweeting during the matches.
From the whole crew here at the Brewtiful Game, we wish you a very merry Christmas, happy holidays, and have a wonderful new year!

This is a fun episode, and we laugh more than we ever have in a show before. Week 14 of the English Premier League was good one, El Clasico was great, and we also talk about the upcoming MLS Cup Final between Toronto FC and the Seattle Sounders.
Maybe it was Ferris deciding to go with two beers that had us finding everything way too funny. His first choice was the official beer of the current table leaders, Chelsea. It's lager from Thailand called Singha.
After striking up a conversion with comic book writer Pete Rogers on Twitter about attending AFC Bournemouth's Summer Soccer Camp and reading monthly football comic books in the UK , Ferris put it all together with his next choice. The Defender IPA from Brooklyn Brewery. The official beer of New York Comic Con.
You can check out some of Pete's comic work and where to find it HERE. You'll even find one he wrote called Fame: David Beckham.

After a Thanksgiving break, we return to discuss Premier League soccer, as well as covering Bruce Arena again taking the helm of the men's United States Soccer Team.
Ron was in charge of the beer for this one, and he made up for us missing a week by going with a three course episode.
We tried beers from Dogfish Brewery, Lost Coast Brewery, and also a beer called Pork Slap. We have...thoughts about that last one.

We take a look a the last two matches of the United States Women's National Team versus Romania, and the total breakdown the United States Men's National Team suffered at the hands of Mexico and Costa Rica. The men's matches were for World Cup qualifying, so let's just say, we aren't very happy in the last half of the episode.
What did make us happy was a beer Ferris introduced to us. He chose a beer in honor of the recently observed Veteran's Day. Dog Tag Brewing's Legacy Lager is a great beer with a great purpose. 100% of their profits go to Gold Star Families. Please give a visit to their website and pick up a four pack.

Our beer selection of this pod was to review a great double IPA from Highland Brewing Company. Behold the Warrior Series, King MacAlpin Double IPA.

In this episode, we take a bit of a detour, just like our co-host Ron Keller did. He talks to us from Glasgow after wrapping up a trip to Scotland for his travel blog, The Scientific Traveler. While there, he soaked up the nature, the history, the soccer culture, and plenty of new beers and Scotch whisky. We discuss what he did on his adventure, the great football supporters he met, and what fantastic Scottish beers he was able to try.
The drink of the pod is a switch to Scotch for this special episode. We try a great one from Kilchoman Distillery.
