Jason Webb, self proclaimed "Me.E.O.", shares the marketing strategies he is using to grow Follow-Up Fuel, and how what he is learning can also apply to his job as D.A.D.
I'd rather die enormous than live dormant that's how we on it
Live at the main event, I bet a trip to Maui on it--Jay Z "Can I Live".
That's pretty much how I feel about life. Freedom over formality is what I say and how I live. That's why I haven't had a boss in close to 10 years, why I started this podcast, and why I don't push my kids to stick with inconsequential activities if that's not what makes them truly happy.
The Duke and Duchess have recently chosen their own freedom over royal formality recently and I absolutely love it. They're shining a light on the fact that we often make our own happiness or our own unhappiness. The choices aren't always easy, but if they're just--happiness will follow.
Creativity over certainty. That's my mantra. Certainty does not motivate me. It actually has the opposite effect on me in a lot of ways. I thrive when I can be creative. I don't do well if I already know the outcome--usually low stakes anyway. Boring!
In this episode, I talk about how I've re-imagined the way I run my business and the early indicators of success I'm seeing. Most importantly, I'm doing it with a smile on my face--again!
How can you bring excitement back into your business?
However you define success, it's likely that your path to get there will not, or has not, been linear. If you're like most humans I know there will be many pitfalls and hurdles along the way.
This is an interview I did with someone who epitomizes what it makes to overcome many obstacles and challenges to get to a certain point in his life. He never makes excuses, he only makes progress, and that's what you'll hear in this interview.
As 2020 begins it's a good time to start taking the old proverbial chips off the table and get ready to double down on another table. The last decade was all about working hard and taking risk, the next decade will be about de-risking and strategic planning.
What am I talking about? Listen to this episode to find out.
I had the pleasure of interviewing my coach and mentor--solo ads expert, Igor Kheifets. This interview was a bonus for the first Rich List, Poor List customers, but now I'm sharing it for all to listen and learn. In this interview he revealed how anyone can buy traffic fast at a profit and how he once built an email list of over 18,000 subscribers while making nearly $400,000 in sales. How did he generate $32, 623.24 in commission in just 4 days? You'll hear it in my interview.

In this episode I talk about a lesson I learned about patience and why it's important to "trust the process" while watching the end my son's swim class.
This is part 2 of the synopsis of my first live webinar experience. I wish I could say it went as planned and that I didn't make any mistakes, but then you'd have to believe that I'm not human. As luck would have it, I am! As a matter of fact, the mistakes I had to overcome would make me "King of all Humans" if you were to judge humans by the number of mistakes they make.
Nevertheless, I powered through it until the end. In this episode I talk about the big mistakes I made and the number of sales I made by the end of the webinar.
As I continue to reflect on 2019 and look forward to 2020, and beyond, I have discovered a new way to approach my business that will support my long term and short term goals.
I have an online business and and offline business. My offline business, (sales recruiting) pays for everything that I do online---except it's not all that exciting. My online business is exciting, but it doesn't generate anywhere near the income that my recruiting business (offline)does?
I need to be excited about what I do everyday otherwise I will not be able to sustain long term success. So I needed to come up with a plan. A new way to approach business that would be exciting and profitable. Something I could do for the next 20 years and not get bored. I talk about what that is in this episode.
Now that we're coming to the end of another year, it's a good time to stop and pause to think about what's next, what's most important, and how to achieve what you want.
Like all good running backs in football, we need to pause long enough to see where the opening is and then run through it as fast as we can as soon as we recognize it. Without that pause, we could end up getting tackled for a loss.
That's what this episode is about.
One of the biggest challenges we have with deciding on which new ventures to start or deciding which careers to choose is our ability and willingness to self-assess.
In this episode, I share 5 things I do to self-assess when deciding to start something new.
This episode should have been published before 11/29, which is why you'll hear me talk about Thanksgiving. That said, the message I have in this episode for you applies throughout the holiday season, and frankly throughout the year.
I hosted my first webinar this week. I learned a lot during my preparation for the webinar and I learned even more while hosting the live webinar. Find out all about my experience and what you can learn from it in preparation for doing your own webinar.
I was crunched for time, as you'll hear, so I will publish part 2 next week.

I was crunched for time, as you'll hear, so I will publish part 2 next week.
In this episode I talk about how I handle stress and how I handle my stress may help other people as well. It all comes down to focusing on one task, one initiative, or one goal at a time. A lot like concentrating on taking one breath at a time while meditating.
This episode of Mindset Monday, published on a Tuesday actually, is all about my key to daily happiness. It's all about one big thing.
The more emails I send, the more data I accumulate. One of the things I've been focused on lately is why some subject lines work and others flop.
After sending hundreds of emails over the last several years, I think I found what works best. That's what this episode is all about.
A lot of people are simply afraid to email their list about something they have to offer. I remember the first time I wanted to sell something online, I built an email list of about 2000 people and never sent one email to them because I didn't know what to say.
In this short episode I talk about why it's important to just hit "send".
I'm convinced size matters. If current metrics stay the same and if the industry averages are the "industry averages" you will make money online. Without a large email list and without a high ticket offer, building a massive passive email income will be much harder and will take a lot longer.
I explain it all in this edition of Follow-Up Fuel Friday.
In this edition of "Mindset Monday" I talk about the importance of starting immediately when you want to make a major change in your life. Whether it's personally or professionally, the more invested you are in a particular belief, activity, career, etc, the harder it is to make a change. Each day that goes by, before starting to make a change, it becomes that much harder to make the change you want. Imagine how difficult it is to turn around an aircraft carrier or a cruise ship. The bigger the vessel the longer it takes to turn. If you start immediately, change won't take as long and it could be like turning around a speedboat or a jet ski.
One of the biggest challenges new email marketers have is generating more clicks to their sales pages and other web assets.
While it's certainly a numbers game, there is definitely an art to it. In this episode I talk about that art is and how to master it to get more clicks.
The more I build my online business, the more certain I am that building an email list is the best and fastest way to create massive, passive online income.
And, since this is a "Walk-Away-Wednesday" edition, in this episode, I share why anyone should build their email list first--even if they don't have a product or service to sell yet. (Maybe just a seed of an idea.)
"This is the #1 rule for your set, in order to survive you've got to live regrets"--Shawn Carter
This episode features several different things as they pertain to my online business, but it starts off with me acknowledging a big fat mistake that I made.
I learned and I'm moving on.
A good friend called me to tell me that his entrepreneurial spark got reignited recently and he wanted to talk to me about his business idea.
Of course, I asked him if we could record our discussion so I could use it for the podcast and he agreed.
Our discussion is what you'll hear in this episode.
It's fun to be curious. Imagine how boring life would be if you already knew the outcome of everything before it happened.
In this episode, I talk about how curiosity lead me to make a major change in my sales funnel.
There are certain performance indicators you should measure and optimize when evaluating your sales funnel/process. The five I'm watching closely are, traffic, leads, open rate, click through rate, and conversion rate.
Traffic and leads are no longer a challenge. Now I've got to focus on and optimize the other 3. That's what this episode of Follow-Up Fuel is all about.
In this episode of Mindset Monday I share my approach for getting things done when they have to be done and how I have to accept the fact that basically nothing I do will be perfect.
If you're a perfectionist, listen to this episode and then go finish something you started.
In this episode of I talk about the new leads into the Follow-Up Fuel funnel and a BIG flaw I found in my email marketing and what I did to fix it.
It all came down to choosing the right autoresponder software to use to send emails to my new leads.
This episode is much different than any other episode I've published.
In my capacity as a sales recruiter I help other people find jobs. I actually didn't have anything planned for this edition of "Walk-A-Way Wednesday", so I decided to publish a call that I did with a friend who wanted to speak with me about pursuing a new opportunity.
I thought it would be useful to give my audience a sneak peak into what someone else might be going through as they try to figure out what's next for them.
Episode 50 came so fast that I didn't know this was episode 50 when I recorded it. Time flies when you do something you love. Wow!
In this edition of "Mindset Monday" I talk about why I'm working so hard to build an online business and the vision I have for my family's future.
I created a course about how to build a massive, passive email income as part of the Follow-Up Fuel funnel.
I this episode I tell why I decided to create the course and how it will fit into the funnel. And sales have started to come in.
In this episode of Walk-A-Way Wednesday I share my advice for the one thing you should start doing, immediately, well before you walk away from your job.
Most people are afraid to start their own business because they're afraid they're not going to be able to make enough money to pay their bills, etc.
Focus on this one thing and you won't need to worry about paying the bills when you launch your new venture.
What does a cluttered mind like and why?
The last 3 weeks or so have been really busy and I've neglected my mental and physical health because I needed to finish a major project.
In this episode I talk about what I did this morning to reset my mind and try to get into the right state of mind to move forward.
In this edition of Follow-Up Fuel Friday, I share part of a mini-course that I conducted for my email list. It was a brief presentation on why adding a certain page to your sales funnel could dramatically improve affiliate sales.
In this episode, inspired by a call I got from my brother, I walk through all of the times I walked away from something in my life to pursue something better---in most cases.
In this brief episode of Mindset Monday I talk about something accomplished today that most likely would not have gotten accomplished if it weren't for one key addition to my life recently.
Listen to find out what it is.
Apart from who your email is from, the subject line is the most important component of your email marketing.
If you can't compel your subscribers to open your emails, then you can't compel them to buy what you're offering (selling.)
In this episode, I share 4 ways to get inspired to write subject lines that will get your emails opened.
This is a "Walk-A-Way Wednesday" episode in which I share how just simply taking what you know and sharing it with others, as a coach, is a great way yo create extra income until you're ready to walk away completely from one job/business and do something else.
I share a recent experience about something that I needed a coach for--and the person I found to help me. Hopefully it will inspire you.
In this episode of Mindset-Monday you will hear an interview that I did with a woman who epitomizes what it means to have a positive and abundant mindset.
Listen to how she sets goals for herself and how others can do the same. Also, pay close attention to the way we can get others to buy into our goals as well, and why that is so important.
Finally, listen for the MAJOR health scare that threatened her life, her mindset through it all, and how it affects her every day.
She has an online course coming out called Goalhackers where she will be teaching Entrepreneurs and those looking to become Entrepreneurs ---60 Days to Transform Your Business and Your Life
You can learn more by signing up for her email list at jeannetteryals.com.
In this episode of Webb Applications, I talk about how often you should email your email list. My advice is may shock you. I tell you how often I’m emailing my list as well as the results that I’ve seen recently.
In this episode of "Walk-A-Away Wednesday" you will hear the story of how a woman, a third generation appliance wizard, successfully walked away from a stagnant and unrewarding job.
After a few setback she decided to combine her skill of writing with her knowledge of appliances and start her own business.
I think her story reflects the difficulty that a lot of people face when trying to find fulfillment in what they do for a living. The way she solved her own difficulty is inspiring.
In this episode of Mindset Monday I talk about why I'm going so hard right now, and how there is good stress and by stress. What's the difference. Listen to this episode and find out.
In this episode I briefly go over what lead nurturing is and why you need to do it. If you're not nurturing your new leads your sales will suffer.
There are many ways to earn extra income and eventually walk away altogether from your full-time job, or business, and do something else.
I'm always trying to suggest ways to get started that don't require you having to leave your home and that don't cost a lot of money to begin with. I also try to suggest things that don't require knowing the right people. For the most part, these ideas I share are easy to get started if you have focus and determination.
In this episode, I share how to get started as an affiliate marketer and how it is quite possible to earn over $1M a year doing it---no experience necessary.
How does the thought of killing yourself as a teenager set you on path for the rest of your life to learn how to master your emotions?
In this episode of Webb Applications, you'll hear how my guest, Daimon Sweeney, created something he calls NeuroMastery--which is the process of controlling your emotions.
Since it was recorded for Mindset Monday, (albeit published on Tuesday) I thought learning a bit about NeuroMastery would be a perfect topic.
You can learn more about NeuroMastery at www.daimonsweeney.com
He also just started an "Unchallenge" in his Facebook Group where he will share breakthrough methods he discovered. They literally rewire fight/flight/freeze out of your nervous system when applied to a specific issue.
A lot of people, who may not be Follow-Up Fuel customers, or have an online business, may not know how to strategically go about starting an email list.
In this episode, I talk about the basics of how to start building your email list while sharing a few offline examples of how many businesses do it.
In this episode I had the pleasure of interviewing one of my original Follow-Up Fuel customers.
Madeleine Davis is a multiple #1 International Best-Selling Author, a Master Business Strategist and The Founder of Fast Results Now. Coaches, authors, healers and speakers hire her to help them create, build and grow the 6 and 7 figure business of their dreams so they can stop “having” to go to work and start “loving” working.
A great guest to have on Walk-A-Way Wednesday.

What does dancing in front of a police officer outside of my old high school have to do with this podcast?
It has everything to do with this podcast since it's published on Mindset Monday.
In this episode I talk about a time where I had to get out of my comfort zone and into the stretch zone--simply so I wouldn't look like an idiot.
Listen to how it paid huge dividends later on.
This episode is just a quick update on what I did this week for Follow-Up Fuel.
One thing I did was hire a copywriter. Listen to this episode to hear why.
Check out followupfuel.com to learn more.
In this edition of "Walk-Away-Wednesday" I interviewed Daniel Scott, online course creator and Founder of InstructorHQ (a course creation platform).
I've probably talked about creating online courses as way to earn extra income more than anything--besides Follow-Up Fuel of course. So, when you hear Daniel talk about how he went from making practically nothing to doing over $100,000/month in only 4 years, you'll understand why I keep talking about it. It's absolutely amazing.
You can find out more about Daniel and InstructorHQ at https://www.instructorhq.com
He offers a free trial for 14 days, so check it out.
Acting coach, backstage expert, and author, Paul Barry, was the perfect person for this edition of Mindset Monday.
I met Paul in a Facebook Group after a post I shared was met with unreasonable ridicule.
In this episode, Paul shares his knowledge and insight around the importance of counterintuition as it pertains to achieving goals. And he also talks about the 3 zones we are all in during various situations and which zone we need to be in if we want to learn.
You'll also hear him share his advice how to start to move out of your comfort zone as a way to slowly build confidence.
Paul can be reached at paul@dreamingforaliving.com
His website is dreamingforaliving.com
In this episode I celebrate a small victory and talk about why I''m doubling back, and then doubling down, on solo ads.
In this episode of "Walk-Away-Wednesday", I interviewed someone that I met at a Capital One cafe.
Mike Sjogren has a multiple 6 figure Airbnb business and is now teaching other people how they can build their own 6 figure Airbnb business in less than 2 per week, even if they don't own any property.
Listen to the painful experience he went through before making the decision to leave his accounting job and go on a path to find something that would allow him to live the life on his terms.

You ever felt like this, vibe with me

I didn't feel like recording this episode of Mindset Monday, but I did it anyways. In this episode you'll hear my very real thoughts and honest assessment of why I didn't feel like doing it, or anything else today for that matter, and what I did to push through.
In this episode I talk about how I'm working through some of the strategic decisions to make Follow-Up Fuel a success. One of those decisions was to hire a marketing consultant.
I also talk about how difficult it is to get traction and that there is a lot of work that needs to be done to get to that point. Sometimes hard work can just be sitting and thinking.
When I first started the j. David Group, (my software sales recruiting business) over 8 years ago, I first came across Daven Michaels' name. He was the Founder/CEO of a virtual assistant company by the name of 123 Employee.
I had always admired him from a far based on the personal experience I had as a customer of his company, but also because of his lifestyle and the way he seems to live free and happy--while earning a great living.
Then, a few years later, just as I was about launch the first iteration of Follow-Up Fuel, I was lucky enough to meet him at an event in North Carolina where he was one of the main speakers.
I wanted to have him on an episode of "Walk-Away-Wednesday" so that he could share his wealth of experience, wisdom, and insight with my audience---hoping to inspire others to follow his path.
He also has a new venture that he's launching called VEA (Virtual Entrepreneurs Association) which is a community platform that provides home-based business owners all the tools, discounts & resources to help them on their entrepreneurial mission.

In my opinion, goals are hard to achieve without vision. If you have a vision, a destination that you're always moving towards, it's easier to overcome obstacles along the way.
Obstacles like doubt, or the old "shiny new object" syndrome can throw you off course if you don't know where you want to go. If you don't have vision.
In this episode I talk about how having vision has served me well in the past and how it's currently guiding me to my next level of achievement.
In this episode One-Click Lindsey shares some of the best advice I've ever gotten as it pertains to creating content that will convert your web visitors into leads.
You'll hear the simple, yet often overlooked, tactic to create unique content and why it's important that your content can't be found on Google or any other search engine.
Listen carefully for the one way to use Amazon to understand your customers' pain and how you can create offers to address that pain.
And, what's the best and fastest way to start making money within 90 days? That question is also answered in this episode, along with much more.
One Click Lindsey's book "The Click Technique" can be found on Amazon.
You can also go to trafficandleadsuniversity.com to apply for her exclusive Facebook Group.
In this episode I had the pleasure of interviewing Brendan Kelly. He's a sales funnel strategist, coach, and consultant, and the only person who focuses strictly on the avatar in the sales funnel niche. He gives people insane clarity on who their dream customer is, and how to create funnels catered to them for maximum profits.
In addition to learning about what a funnel is and what an avatar is, you will also learn more about him, and how/why he started his business.
His masterclass entitled, The Ultimate Avatar, can be found here at www.funnelavatar.com Register now for FREE ($297 Value)
You can also listen to his podcast "What The Funnel" wherever you get your podcasts.
Before recording this episode I was motivated by a couple of naysayers and doubters. People that felt it was okay to laugh at me and ridicule me for my for a simple proposal I made.
This episode is about motivation and how to stay motivated. There is a right way to do it and a wrong way to do it, in my opinion. I went into this episode motivated by the wrong way and then started talking about the right, more sustainable way.
I talk about the doubters and the small-mind individuals as well as ways to stay motivated when trying to achieve a big goal.
One of the toughest decisions I've had to make was choosing the right market to sell to. The need for email marketing spans across multiple industries and there are use cases for all of them.
To find traction, however, one of the things I've been learning about marketing, both online and off, has been to find a niche/market to focus on. So I made a rather tough decision to focus on online course creators.
In this episode I will you will hear me talk about my decision making process that lead me to that conclusion and the new pricing model that I'm about to roll out.
You can find more about Follow-Up Fuel at followupfuel.com
I also mentioned needls.com. The robo ad agency I will use to buy Facebook ads.
This episode is from an interview I did with an affiliate marketer two months before the publication of this episode, and about a month before Follow-Up Fuel went live.
The woman I interviewed, Alex S. Elliot, is the owner of the Digital Marketing Hacks for Online Entrepreneurs (DMHOE, for short) Facebook Group. This is where she leads a large, rapidly growing, community of digital marketers with a mission to teach them all of the hacks, tips, and strategies she has used to grow her 6-figure affiliate marketing business.
Listen carefully as she takes us on her journey from going from a board-certified nurse practitioner, to successful marketing agency owner, and how she made the decision to give it all up, including her own house, to take care of her sick mother---and of course how she got it all back.
Her story epitomizes what it means to focus, work hard, and persevere to achieve your goals--all with honesty and integrity.
Here is the link to her Facebook Group if you'd like to join the community and learn how to grow your online business.
DMHOE
I'm patient with almost everyone, but I'm not patient when it comes to achieving my goals.
In this episode I talk about how a lack of patience caused the biggest financial setback of my life and what I learned from it.
If you're new to this podcast you will often hear me mention Follow-Up Fuel, but unless you've heard previous episodes you may not know what it is and who it can help.
In this episode I give a brief overview and what Follow-Up Fuel is, who it helps and how. And if you're already aware of Follow-Up Fuel then you will hear how it's going and a change that I am making to the pricing model.
In this episode of "Walk-Away-Wednesday" I talk about how a technical problem I was having, which prevented me from sharing an interview with you, turned into a billion dollar idea. Maybe? Potentially? You be the judge.
I'm not smart enough, nor do I have the right resources to pull it off. Maybe somebody does. Either way, I'd love for someone to solve this problem for me.
In most cases, it's better to think there is more than to think there is less. It's part of being an optimist, but that's not really what this episode is about.
How can you think more abundantly to start and grow a business? I've been wrestling with that myself lately and in this episode I share how I'll be thinking more abundantly to grow my business.
Whether you have an email list or aspire to start and grow an email list, you should listen to this episode.
There are many benefits to having an email list and I thought I knew all of them. But then I got a private message through Facebook that proved there was still at least one other benefit I hadn't thought yet.
As a matter of fact, this benefit is so obscure that even the most well-known internet marketing gurus don't mention what I just learned.
How can you create something if you're not creative and lack creativity?
In this episode I talk about my 2-Step creative process and how simple it is for anyone to copy-especially if you don't have a creative bone in your body.
In this episode I mention that seeing other people succeed can be great sustenance for our own persistence.
We can also learn a lot about persistence simply by watching our own children mature and grow.
In this episode I mention that seeing other people succeed can be great sustenance for our own persistence.
We can also learn a lot about persistence simply by watching our own children mature and grow.
In this episode you'll hear me talk about the decision I made when I worked at a staffing agency that lead to a $76,300 month. It was a simple strategic decision that I made after reading a local publication.
I talk about how the process I went through to make that decision is similar to the process I'm going through to build and scale Follow-Up Fuel.
Right now, it's all about testing.
What do you do when you have an idea or a vision of something you want to do? Perhaps open a store, create an online course or anything else?
How do companies that have gone from being just good companies to becoming great companies become so great and what have I leared from them?
In this episode I share my experience of feeling overwhelmed with too many things that I want to do. How do I execute it all with limited time? How do I do it with limited talent?
Find out in this episode.
In this episode I talk about an email that I recently got from someone who called me a scam artist.
Obviously that couldn't be further from the truth.
Listen to how I handled it, and other situations like that, and the discussion I had with my daughter about bullies before her first day of kindergarten.
In this episode, I interviewed David Baer--a marketing strategy expert.
David shared how to attract and nurture new leads and how to engage new leads until they are ready to buy.
In this episode of "Walk Away Wednesday" I share the advice I gave my younger brother about how to create an income based on something he is curious about and far from expert.
I share how I did it in the past and how others can do the same.
In this episode I talk about a time that I let fear prevent me achieving a big goal, how it's haunted me ever since, and how I use it every day to keep me focused.
I finally made Follow-Up Fuel available to buy. In this episode I discuss the results, what I learned, how I feel about the results, and what I'm going to do next to improve.
In this episode I talk about the frustrating setbacks I ran into as I was trying to relaunch Follow-Up Fuel--and how sustained levels of concentration and patience are the keys to achieving a big goal.
I also talk about my sales goal for June 2019 and how I plan to reach that goal
In this episode, I talk about learning as I go. Learn, Act, Iterate, Duplicate--or LAID--for short.
Specifically I talk about something that left me momentarily frozen with fear while on vacation with my family last year--and how I dealt with it. And I discuss, in detail, what I learned about my software launch and what I'm doing differently this time to maximize opportunity and mitigate risk.
In this episode you will hear how I found developers, what I thought of the very first iteration, how much I invested (so far) and how much money I made (so far).
How did I find my first customers? How fast did I acquire my first customers. And you will hear about major setback I had after I first launched it and why I changed the name from something else to Follow-Up Fuel.
This is the first episode of Webb Applications.
In this episode I talk about a book that I read over 10 years ago and a podcast interview that I heard about 8 years ago that have inspired me to create my first web application called Follow-Up Fuel.
I talk about the challenge I had that lead me to create Follow-Up Fuel, and how it solves a major challenge for anyone that is building an email list.
You'll also learn about my primary motivating factors behind it all. Enjoy!
If you enjoy this episode, please don't forget to subscribe. And I'm an insatiable learner, so reviews are always welcomed.
