Welcome back to Hope in Christ w/Denise Podcast. I'm beginning a new bi-weekly series titled "Come Bible Study with Me." I created it to use alongside the "Come Bible Study with Me" blog on hope-in-christ.com.
In these 30-minute episodes, I will share Bible literacy strategies to help you better understand, interpret, and apply Scripture for yourself.

In this episode, we explore the how to recognize barrenness through the biblical story of Rachel and Leah—two sisters who wrestled with comparison, longing, identity, and the deep ache of unidentified worth and purpose. Barrenness isn’t just something some women may deal with physically; it is also spiritual. It often it shows up in our emotions, our faith, our purpose, and the places where we feel unseen or unfulfilled.
Through Rachel’s cry for what she lacked and Leah’s longing to be loved, we learn how barrenness can reveal itself in jealousy, striving, insecurity, and silent disappointment. This teaching helps you identify the subtle signs of spiritual and emotional barrenness and invites you to examine where you may be producing outwardly while still feeling empty inwardly.
