Too often we preach on the fall of man Genesis 3 as the beginning of the gospel message, however the Gospel message starts in Genesis 1 with "In the beginning". The Woman at the well was amazed at Jesus words, He did not convict or condemn, He spoke truth and tenderness. Jesus embraced her brokenness not her sin. He spoke a gospel of love and did not convict her of her sin. We need to embrace the brokenness of peoples lives and not the sin in their life.
John 1:12 "But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God" NLT Because if what Jesus has done we are all received into God's family. God's purpose for us is to belong to His family. Nehemiah rebuilt the walls by inviting families to come and be positioned along the wall. We have an opportunity and a responsibility at Our Community to be good stewards of what God has given us. What has God placed in you, where in the family does He want to position you?
When vision comes from the revelation of who God is, and that He has a specific purpose for our lives and Our Community. It empowers us to pursue that purpose and bring His kingdom realm wherever we are.
What does it mean to belong? "God places us us in family and we have an incredible opportunity to love on each other and love on those God places in our path." True belonging with God - helps us to let go of the worlds model of belonging - helps us to recognise Gods model, and who he has created us to be - helps us to be more accepting and loving of one another Develop our sense of belonging within us first. Belonging with God, accepting others, bringing Glory to God
