There are no bad trades with God. We trade our sickness and disease for health; our lack for provision; our worry for peace; our death for life; our sin for His righteousness; and our curse for blessing.

How do we overcome today's loneliness epidemic? We must recognize that one of satan's greatest weapons is isolation. There is a difference between being alone, feeling lonely, and being overcome by loneliness. What does the Bible have to say about loneliness? What does God say to Elijah during his dark moments?
While the world exposes us to hopelessness, worry, and fear, the Bible exposes us to Jesus, joy, and peace. Some things in our life that may lead to hopelessness and depression are: prolonged sorrow, unfulfilled expectations, rejection, dead religious traditions, and sickness/illness/pain. The good news is that God has made a way out of the ashes. Steps we can take toward freedom are to start thanking God, to stop complaining, and to stop comparing.
Peace is security in the midst of trouble. Life, liberty, and happiness are gifts from our Creator. Peace is part of our inheritance. In whatever you're going through, go through it! Don't pitch a tent there. Expose yourself to truth and allow the Holy Spirit to renew your thoughts, feelings, and actions.
What you expose yourself to affects your life. Exposure leads to thoughts, thoughts lead to feelings, feelings lead to actions, and this chain reaction determines the course of our life. We can have a positive chain reaction, or a negative one. Listen to find out how to have chain reactions that lead to abundant life!
Do you believe God truly loves you...right now, just as you are? Everything in life is useless, even a sermon, if you don't know of God's love for you. How exciting life gets when you have the knowledge in your heart that God's goodness and faithful love are hunting you down all your life!
Who do you say Jesus is? Is He loving and accepting or harsh and demanding? Is He forgiving or unforgiving and condemning? Does He bring joy or take away fun? 1) We have been ADOPTED into God's family.
2) We are fully PERSUADED that God loves us.
3) We are certain that we are in a UNION with Christ.
4) God has an OBLIGATION to keep His eternal promises.
5) God PROTECTS us, our future, and our dreams.
6) God BELIEVES in you!
Hope is a powerful weapon. It gives us the strength and courage to endure. Hope brings freedom. That's why religion destroys hope. But don't lose hope. Be sure to come back next week to hear the hopeful conclusion to this hopeless message.

59% of American Christians believe satan is not a living being, but merely a symbol of evil. It's tough to take authority or the devil and demons when we don't even believe they exist! The Bible clearly says otherwise. Learn how to take authority over the devil and demons.
You are not a victim. You are victorious in Christ! Power and authority are yours, but you have to use them. The most effective way to do that is by speaking the Word of God and using the power of praise.
Continuing last week's sermon, we learn more about the blessings available in the name of Jesus. The devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy... and it's time we use Jesus' name to demand what is ours. Some might hesitate and think they can't demand anything from God... Can we?

There are so many blessings in the name of Jesus! The best, most amazing blessing in the name of Jesus is salvation. If God gave his Son for us, is there anything he wouldn't give? We miss blessings that are already paid for because of ignorance and unbelief. One important blessing in Jesus' name is prayer!
I'm not sure we can ever figure out how many blessings are in His Name. To name a few: salvation, baptism (family, water, and Spirit), miracles, the Holy Spirit, and more!
There is power and authority in the name of Jesus. Did you know that you have permission to use that name? It's a lack of knowledge and unbelief that stops us from using it.
How did Jesus get such a great name? He inherited it. He was bestowed it. He won it by conquest. Why do we need to have these truths in our heart? Listen and find out!
Power of attorney: legally binding document that allows someone to act on your behalf as your agent, managing your property, medical, financial affairs, etc.
Jesus has given us a legal right to use His name and conduct His business.
We can use Jesus' name in prayer, in battle, and in healing.

Are you ready to learn more about demonic influence and oppression? What's in a name? What power and authority have been given to us in Jesus' name? Before we learn about that, we must get back to the basics - The Bible. This is the first message in a series titled "In His Name".
In the final installment of the Back to Basics Series and on a very special Easter Sunday, we celebrate the Risen Jesus... not the baby Jesus or the teacher Jesus or even the healing Jesus, but the Jesus who died on the cross and rose again. If Jesus had not risen, all that He did in life would have been for nothing. Jesus is no longer on the cross; He is on the throne. What does this mean for us?
As Christians, how should we deal with our past? Some say we should ignore it or forget it. Jesus is Lord of all - our past, present, and future. We must remember something He did to give us a brand new past that determines our present and future: we died with Christ.
In our death with Christ, what did we lose? What did we gain? What did we keep?
We see that the world around us is getting crazier, darker, and more dangerous. Are you ready? Trouble is going to come, but it doesn't have to overcome us. How do we prepare to fight against this trouble? The Bible encourages us to CONTINUE in Grace. What might that look like?

The law is good.......... when used appropriately. We must know the whole purpose of the law. What is the purpose of the law?

to reveal sin

to point us to Jesus
Let us rejoice! We are not under the law any longer. We have been rescued and set free.
The law is good. Grace is better!
Acts 20:27 says, "I have not hesitated to declare the whole counsel of God..."
What exactly is "the whole counsel"?
Here's what we see in the Word.

Grace is not part of the Gospel - it is the truth of the gospel.

Law is separate from grace and truth.

We are not under even a little bit of the law.
-
Preaching the whole gospel is simply preaching about Jesus.

It's not grace plus anything. It is grace alone.

The gospel is 100% good news.
Paul speaks about "other" gospels. By which gospel are we saved? What exactly is the true gospel? What role does the cross play in the gospel? Who is the gospel for? What happens when you mix the gospel with the law?
Sometimes it seems easier to define what grace is not than what grace is.
Here's what we do know about grace.
Grace...
is inexhaustible
makes good news good news
strengthens us until Jesus comes back
saves us
allows us to bear good fruit
makes us holy
helps us
is radical
greatly exceeds norms
is greater than anything we can understand
comes by faith alone
isn't a theology or a concept... it's the person of Jesus
Grace can be like a puzzle. We think we know what the big picture is, but then God reveals another piece and we get an even better understanding of it. Here are a few of the puzzle pieces of Grace we have been learning:
1) We live by grace; we aren't just saved by grace.
2) Grace doesn't include ifs and buts.
3) We are sons, not servants.
4) We receive, not just ask.
5) We are cross-conscious, not sin-conscious.
6) We experience the living word in addition to the written word.
7) We have received Christ's righteousness and are a new creation.
Matthew 7:24-27 presents two choices on which to build our lives: rock or sand. The foundation on which you build your life is critical - only a life built on the Word of God will stand. What else does Abundant Life believe is foundational?

In this message Pastor Joe discusses the life of Mary and her role in the Christmas story. He shares about why Mary was chosen to be the mother of Jesus and why she was favored by God.
In the Christmas story, there are many characters. Almost all the main characters in the Biblical account of Jesus’ birth have lines, but one does not: Joseph, the reluctant dad. What can we learn from this silent character? A lot, it seems. This righteous man, one of the first people to know of God’s plan to save the world, plays a larger role than we sometimes give him credit for.
Miracles do happen, but delayed harvests are more common. Sometimes we run into the "I want what I want when I want it" disease. Jesus spoke in parables not to help people understand, but to hide things from people who didn't have a heart for God.
Pastor Joe breaks down Jesus' parable about seeds on different types of soil in order to help us better prepare the soil of our hearts to produce a bountiful harvest.
Here's what we know: Harvests only come when we plant seed, and harvests only come through rest and trust by remaining in Christ.
That brings us to our next question: Are harvests immediate or do they take time? How does forgiveness play into harvests? Why do miracles begin with the gospel? This message brings light to some tough questions about harvests.
This week, Pastor Joe continues the discussion on things that may be preventing us from receiving a harvest.
Who is in control of the earth? Is it God? Do we really have free will? Is God sovereign? Find out how these questions relate to blocked harvests in this message from Pastor Joe.
This week, Pastor Joe discusses two things that may be preventing us from receiving a harvest.
As God's children, we have a supernatural inheritance that the world doesn't have. God wants you to prosper, however, harvests of prosperity can be blocked. Lack of knowledge and unbelief are two ways harvests can be blocked. Jesus wants to move us from the natural to the supernatural. When we fix our eyes on Jesus, supernatural harvests happen.
Impossible harvests are only possible when we believe God’s word. Learn about consuming God’s Word, believing God’s Word, speaking God’s Word, and how they all work together to produce a harvest. Pastor Joe speaks about three simple truths: 1) Harvest is near to those who are near to God’s Word. 2) Word brings light to darkness. 3) Word is seed and supernatural harvest is the fruit. What harvest are you believing for?
We live in a physical world in physical bodies… but at the same time, the spiritual world is also real. If we rely on just our physical senses to live, our supernatural harvest will be limited. What does it look like to live a life operating in the supernatural? Let’s see what the Bible has to say!
God wants to do something great in your life! Are you excited to receive that harvest from Him?
How does your harvest come? How do the logos and the rhema word work together? What does the rhema word have to do with breakthrough? What should we do while we wait for our harvest? Pastor Joe answers all these questions and more.
What is the difference between the hope of the world and the hope of the Word? The hope of the world is empty, but when the Word of God is planted as a seed, it has the ability to produce unbelievable harvests in our lives. How does hope play into this? How does faith play into this? Let this message change your life as you consider where you put your hope!
It’s hard to describe a place that is truly indescribable. Here’s what we do know about this very real place: 1) The Bible describes three heavens: the atmosphere of the earth, where the stars, moon, and galaxies are, and God’s dwelling place. 2) Earth is a copy and a shadow of heaven. 3) Heaven is a real place – a prepared place for a prepared people. 4) Heaven is “up”, just like hell is “down”. 5) We will put on immortal bodies in heaven. 6) What is in heaven? Our Redeemer, our relationships, our resources, our residence, our riches, and our reservations.
Hell – It’s not something we talk about very often, even in church. Why is it important to talk about? Because Hell is a real place and there’s a good chance that people we know and love are going there. Tune in to learn what the Bible says about Hell.
This week, Pastor Joe steps back to check some facts on the end times. Some of the facts are: 1) We are looking forward to Jesus’ return. 2) The rapture and the second coming are two separate events. 3) The end times are not something to be afraid of, but rather to rejoice in. 4) There are lots of signs pointing to Jesus’ return. 5) Our goal in studying this is Holy Spirit transformation. 6) No one knows the date or time. 7) We have been in the last days since Jesus went to the cross.
The Bible gives many signs of the end times. Pastor Joe leads us in a further study of what the Bible says about the end times. In this message, we discuss that people will hate what is good, betray their friends, and depart from the faith, along with some of the reasons that people will depart from their faith.
Pastor Joe reviews the first signs we discussed, scoffers and people who are disrespectful and disobedient to parents (https://subspla.sh/gbp87k4). Do not be deceived by arguments that sound reasonable - know and follow what God's Word says. In God's Word, we see more signs of the end times: ungratefulness, slander, and unholiness.
Are there signs of the last days? Most definitely. This message explores two signs that we see in God's Word - scoffers and children who are disobedient to parents. Pastor Joe reminds us that the end times are good news to the believer, and we can joyously share the gospel with others in these last days.
Pastor Joe takes time to explain the cup of iniquities. What is the difference between sin, transgression, and iniquity? How do these relate to the last days? There are many signs that we will see before the cup overflows, but today we focus on these three: lovers of self, lovers of money, and boastful and prideful spirits. Stick around to the end to hear the good news.
Perilous times are coming. Are you ready? As we look at the Bible, we see plenty of evidence of signs of the last days. How should we respond to these signs? With faith – not fear. Pastor Joe reminds us that we live in Goshen (which means to draw near) and not Egypt. Trouble is coming and now is the time to prepare. Grace teaches us how to live while we wait for Jesus to return.

Pastor Joe begins by reiterating that Holy Spirit transformation is the goal of this sermon series. Our focus is on Christ. Looking to Jesus and being transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. Pastor Joe continues by talking about how the last days are a time of encouragement for believers despite the things that will come to pass. He then talks about some of the signs of the end and how the frequency of the signs shows us that the end is near. Pastor Joe closes the message with reminding us again that the goal is looking to Jesus and seeing Him despite all the signs of the end.
In this message, Pastor Joe outlines the main differences between the Rapture and the Second Coming.
Pastor Joe begins by talking about how we are not the only generation to think we are in the last days. He also touches on how fear-based theology is bad theology because it distorts the gospel and makes God into something that He isn’t. Pastor Joe then proceeds to describe the differences between the Rapture and the Second Coming of Jesus. Pastor Joe then closes by talking about why it is important to know the difference between the Rapture and the Second Coming.
This sermon introduces the series: The End.
The Bible repeatedly mentions the “end times”. Are we at the beginning of the end? Can anyone truly know when the end times are coming? What does the Bible say about the end times? Are we prepared for the end? What does it look like to be prepared for the end? These questions and more are discussed.
Here are two things that we do know for sure: Any theology based in fear is bad theology and believing in Jesus makes you acceptable to God. This series will explore the end times in a way you may never have heard before.

This week we discuss the Resurrection of Jesus in a continuation of last week's message about the Cross.
Three things that are important for us to know about the Cross before we move onto the Resurrection: Jesus has Risen, Jesus was the one in control over death, and if Christ has not been raised from the dead your faith is worthless.
From the Cross we step into the Resurrection, and we discover why it is so important. The Resurrection is the divine receipt that forgiveness is ours; and not only that, but it is the basis for our peace.
So, what turns fear into joy? The finished work of Jesus in both the Cross and the Resurrection. Knowing and believing Jesus died on the cross and is risen is not only proof your sins are gone, but it brings peace, security, safety, and prosperity.
Happy Easter! Before we can understand the resurrection, we go back and talk about what happened at the cross. First, we must acknowledge that Jesus truly died on the cross. Then, we can start to discover what He did there. Through his death, we were given an incredible inheritance. The cross was part of God’s unchanging plan to open the door for us to come back into His family.
Secondly, we must acknowledge that what happened to Jesus at the cross happened to us too. We share in His death and His resurrection. Now, taking up our cross daily is remembering daily what happened on the cross and living in the freedom of our relationship with Him. This is an incredible message on an incredible day!
