Caroline Bryant is kicking off our summer series, Ideas to Change the World, looking at her work in theatre, drawing on her our experiences and the life of Jesus.
Nathan Jones finishes our Between the Lines series, looking at the Parables of Jesus. The parable is about ten virgins, who fell asleep and upset a bridegroom – why were they there, and isn't this is a straightforward story about God's final judgement? We're starting our new series, Let Us Pray? From unanswered prayers for healing to prayers of lament, we're exploring the Bible's approach to prayer and what that means in practice for us today. Michelle Zahner begins by looking again at the story in John 9, 'Jesus Heals a Man Born Blind'. On October 30th we welcomed Reverend Jide Macaulay as our guest speaker for our Black History Month celebration service.
Rev Jide is a Chaplain at St Peter’s House Chaplaincy, he has responsibility for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion with a focus on LGBTIQ and Race. Openly gay, British-Nigerian, born in London, a Christian minister since 1998, Anglican Priest, inspirational speaker, author, poet, pastor and preacher, HIV Positive Activist, holds a degree in Law, masters degree in Theology and Post-graduate certificate in Pastoral Theology.
