Adeyemi, while contributing to a motion on Safe School Initiative in Nigeria, said Abia is governed by “drunkards”.

Senate confirms ex-Service Chiefs as non-career ambassadors. The lawmaker was apparently responding to a social media post allegedly linked to Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, who is from Abia.

In the post, Abaribe was said to have cast aspersion on Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello.

However, Abaribe said he was surprised that the Kogi Senator was making reference to a statement he did not make.

Adeyemi said while some governors were committed to the welfare and protection of their people, Abians “are governed by drunkards”

However, the propensity of APC to regularly hold Press Conferences where they cry foul is irking. Then the party in their last media appearance hinted that the LGA Election in Rivers State will not hold because of a pending Appeal in Court. How's that possible?

War always costs more than you expect. Hostility takes over every facet of your accustomed life. It worms and digs its way into each tiny crevice, spreading, ripping, and shredding everything that is familiar. Eventually, fighting congeals and reforms itself into a living, breathing reality that consumes everything you knew.

After WW II a new world order was restored. The order was restored by the United States 🇺🇸. But all that was lost under @realDonaldTrump. How do you rationalize the exit of the US from @WHO in the middle of a global pandemic? That's basic failure of leadership. Congratulations to President-elect, Joe Biden

It would have cost President Buhari absolutely nothing to have engaged #EndSARS protesters. How the President blackout when only what is required is a reassuring comment of hope and the 'change' he preached 6years ago. He would have saved Nigeria the needless loss of lives caused as a result of the hijacked protest. Nigerians know they elected a taciturn into power but I thought there's a limit being silent. What we have rather seen a mediocre protest, 10million man march for Buhari. Unfortunatley, the End SARS problems persist

The outcome of the Edo State Governorship election would have been different if Comr. Adams Oshiomole had showed tact in his desperation to remove the winner, Gov. Godwin Obaseki. Oshiomole wouldn't have lost his exalted position as the National Chairman of the APC. He wouldn't have been sent into political oblivion if he had been a little patient. But he was over confident. The biblical David kind of confidence that Osagie-Iyamu, a Pastor failed to discern. Osagie-Ize Iyamu did very well in 2016 when he contested on the platform of PDP but performed woefully because of his faith in Federal might instead of God. I submit that POI would have won the election but the ego of Oshiomole and the arrogance of Tinubu robbed off on him.

Opposition parties who are hitherto meant to have shadow cabinets that analyse public policies and use it to tear up the ruling party and hold them accountable seems not to exist in Nigeria. There is no opposition tacking the ruling party in all of the 36 states of Nigeria. However; Nigerians would rather channel their might on activities of the Federal government, leaving their state Governors to have a field day. Four years of jumbo uninterrupted administration. The only role of opposition parties in Nigeria is to contest elections and disrupt the democratic process in the country. In many occasions, the ruling party in the states sponsors internal party crisis within the opposition to keep them busy and at bay while they run a hitch free.

Interestingly, Politicians don't surprise themselves but they do not fail to stun their followers. Some of the big surprises in politics are often seen during the defection of an ardent follower of a supposed influential leader. It is not uncommon with Nigerian politics especially down South were loyalty is always in doubt. The defection of Chidi Lloyd shocked many political observers who watched in amazement how a one time 'Progressive' suddenly joined a gladiator.
