It is often heard that farming should return to the "old days." Retired farmer Dave Surbeck is father to co-host Liz Nyman. He shares his life experiences and observations during the 1940s and 1950s. He discusses the benefits of innovations in science and machinery. We are provided a glimpse into his reaction to today's technology advancements such as using cell phones and apps to assist farmers. Dave provides an excellent snapshot of the WHY of today's farming practices.
