Chief of Police Lawrence L. Battiste IV has served 28 years in law enforcement. Prior to being appointed the City of Mobile Police Chief in April 2017, he was the department’s Assistant Police Chief, commanding several divisions.
He is the former Chief of Police for the City of Prichard and previously worked as the Chief Juvenile Probation Officer for Mobile County. Throughout his career, Chief Battiste gained a wide range of experience from serving in Narcotics and Vice, SWAT, and General and Major Crimes Investigations.
Chief Battiste earned his master’s degree in Justice Administration and bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management from Faulkner University. He holds current memberships with the FBI National Academy, International Association of Chiefs of Police, Alabama Chiefs of Police Association, and National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Officers (N.O.B.L.E.).
With experience in various facets of law enforcement combined with superior performance, Chief Battiste has been awarded the Mayor’s Eagle Award, Deputy of the Year, Sheriff’s Commendation, Commander’s Citation, and the Combat Cross award. He is also a United States Navy veteran.

Clark Bosher has been the Pastor of Willow Park Baptist Church since May of 2006. He was raised under the powerful ministry of Dr. E.K. Oldham. After graduating from the Arlington Baptist College, Clark served for 6 years at the Temple Baptist Church in Odessa, Tx under Dr. Jerry Thorpe. The influence of this great church and pastor greatly affected Pastor Clark.
The Bible declared in II Timothy4:2, “Preach the Word.” This seems to have gone out of style in the last days yet, we have a Pastor who still believes it is right and relevant.
Pastor Clark is married to Tonilyn, they have two children, their son Braxton and their daughter Brooklyn.
Born in Royal Oak with an 80% hearing loss, Scott has overcome his handicap to inspire people of all ages with the practical truths from God's word. After graduating from high school, Scott went to Bible College in Florida with a degree in pastoral ministries. In 1999, Scott joined the pastoral staff at Marcus Pointe Church in Pensacola, FL for ten years. While serving at Marcus Pointe, Scott met Karen and were married in 2001. After serving for ten years, Scott and his family moved back to Michigan to start Lakepointe Church in 2009. They are blessed with two beautiful children, Nathan and Abigail.
Pastor Butch came to Marcus Pointe in 2014 to serve as Senior Adult pastor. He attended Tennessee Temple University and Luther Rice Seminary. He has served in full time ministry over 40 years in pastorate, youth, music, teaching and preaching. He is married to his wife Joy who also serves in a number of areas at Marcus Pointe. They have two grown sons, Jon and his wife Jessica, and Daniel.
Rob Hilbun is currently in his 14th year in Student Ministry. Even though our culture is drastically changing, Rob has a heart to keep things simple. His desire is to see students saved, discipled, and sent out. His passion for students is evident through his preaching and discipleship. Rob published his first book “Church In The Streets” in 2014 and it can be found in Barnes and Noble and Amazon.com. Rob began to serve as Student Pastor at Marcus Pointe Baptist Church, April of 2015. He and his wife Ashley have three children: Bethany (6), Levi (4), and Samuel (2).

Pastor Godfrey, Jr. was saved in 1972 in Montgomery, Alabama and one year later began serving in ministry. His full time ministry started in 1979 in Panama City, Florida, at Central Baptist Church. In 1991, he became Pastor of Fundamental Baptist Church in Pensacola, Florida. The church experienced rapid growth and soon outgrew the buildings.
The church voted to relocate and changed the name to Marcus Pointe Baptist Church. Since 1991, the average weekly attendance has climbed from 63 to more than 1600. The church has averaged more than 500 salvations and 350 new members.
Under the leadership of Pastor Godfrey, Marcus Pointe Baptist has expanded to include a Christian School for elementary students, a Thrift Store benefiting Military families, and an Online Christian Academy for 3rd to 12th grade.
Pastor and his wife June have three grown children: Becky Meredith and her husband Keith, Greg and his wife Brittany, and Bobby and his wife Aly. June and Pastor have 6 grandchildren.
