We are Becca and Shannon, two blondes with glasses. We’re best friends currently living very far apart, so we’ve decided to start this podcast - Blondes (With Glasses!) as an outlet for our marathon conversations.
A mix of pop culture critiques, everyday feminism, and goofy friendship is what you will get in each episode. Other than that, we can’t guarantee where this adventure will take us.

We're back at it again with a take on (sort-of) current events. We discuss the Royal Wedding, the swift end to Roseanne, movies now playing in Florida, and...sigh... The Bachelor. And, as always, we finish with recommendations for each other. Becca tells us all to watch the movie "Book Club" and Shannon has a book for everyone to enjoy - "The Royal We."
It's a two-for-one episode this week! Becca first sat down with Zach to discuss the newest Marvel movie. After that, she caught up with Shannon and asked the same questions! Between us all, we rehash our favorite moments, what questions remain, and where the franchise goes from here. And, as always, we finish with recommendations for each other.
Your hosts are back again! I know - unbelievable, right?? We do what we do best these days, catch up on each other's lives and the media we've enjoyed while we were away. Really there are too many highlights to mention, but let's just say Netflix is killing it with the original material these days. See you after Avengers: Infinity War to discuss if it let us down!!
We're terrible, no-good podcast hosts that break promises. We apologize for going off the grid - during Oscar season no less! But we finally got the chance to sit back down and catch up on what we've missed in each other's lives and in current pop culture. It's just one big recommendation, basically (except for The Bachelor - eff that finale, right?). We make no promises to be back next week this time, because like it or not, we're reasonable adults.
Aaaaand we're back! Finally!! We're redoubling our efforts to make time for each other and this podcast on our mutual Mondays off. Starting things off is a huge discussion of what we've missed while we've been gone. More of the #metoo movement, the upcoming Olympics, award season ennui, and how we are processing it all. Of course, we give each other recommendations along the way. Becca says "Get Out" is the only Oscar must-see. And Shannon wants everyone to give "Canada's Worst Driver" a try on Netflix.

Becca and Shannon are back for a much-needed discussion of Hollywood and sexual harassment culture, or as Becca calls it, a culture of assholes. This was a shorter discussion due to time constraints and will likely have a part two soon. Becca recommends heartily Big Family Cooking Showdown on Netflix, as well as Alias Grace, One of Us, Get Out, and I Love You America. Shannon recommends a cleanse of male creators in your pop culture as well as the West Wing Weekly podcast.
Becca sits down for a discussion with her friend Fabio about his experience moving to the United States from Brazil and his relationship to America. She is joined by Grey (see America Part 2 for more) and Angie. We discuss where 90-day fiance gets it wrong and differences in eating out and the hypocrisy of America. Angie and Fabio recommend the Netflix show 3%, Grey recommends 90-day Fiance and Becca suggests checking out the podcast's tumblr for some great articles she has been reading.

After a week off thanks to crazy work schedules, your bespectacled hosts get back to it with a conversation about Taylor Swift's new song debut and the dangerous minefield that is self-reinvention. We try to parse what makes these changes feel authentic and struggle all the way. We touch on the double standard of these changes when it comes to genders and loop in the likes of Amanda Bynes, Kesha, and Beyonce. And, as always, we finish with recommendations for each other. We fret over the never ending list of shows we want to try, bemoan the end of Sense8 (we recorded just a few hours before they announced the wrap-up movie!) and other niche shows on the streaming service, and take time to dote on Orange Is The New Black, which has continued to be spectacular season after season.
