Real Men real stories is a platform for men to come and share what it means to be a man today. Our intention is to facilitate authentic conversations around a variety of topics and issues such as: Domestic Violence, Addictions, Sex and Relationships, comparison syndrome, fear of rejection, fulfilment and purpose, being a Mr nice guy and much more. Our hope is that these conversations inspire and empower men with strategies and skills that serve their evolution towards becoming their best version.

He has been involved in the lives of people with a disability for the past 15 years and believes that both individuals and communities have assets, strengths, and contributions. He works with individuals and organisations to uncover those strengths, create valued social roles for people and to re-design organisations to deliver more value to people. He has held a variety of roles including Community Development Worker, Service Design Manager, Trainer & Assessor, and Community Consultant. Overcoming Adversity & moving from a Can’t to Can Mindset - Conversation with Can’t 2 Can Founder Hilton Barr Hilton has been involved in training, psychotherapy and coaching for over 30 years and realised there was a greater opportunity to motivate, help and inspire more people through a web based solution and consequently developed cant2can.com He is a Gestalt Psychotherapist, NLP Master Practitioner and Accredited Lifeline Counsellor. His background includes running his own therapy practice, a corporate trainer specialising in Soft Skills plus working with long term unemployed. He was also a co-initiator, coordinator and facilitator of the Common Ground Men’s Program, and the Common Ground Facilitator Training. This 9 week course has been running continually for 15 years and over 1,500 men have participated to date. He also served as Vice President of the Men’s Wellbeing Association (QLD). Presently he is CEO of the Cant2Can organisation while working in logistics for a large national retailer. He is also a core team member for the 10 day Men’s rites of passage program “Journey into the Heart of the Masculine.

Bio - Prior to joining suicide prevention, Kieran worked in construction, hospitality and served 14yrs in the Australian Army. He has deployed on operations including the middle east on several occasions. He is very passionate about the human mind, neuroscience and in particular neuroplasticity - acknowledging the brain can change with evidence backed education, support mechanisms and the right effort. His passion is to discredit the stigma and encourage the notion of healing. He believes the workplace gains an asset when those who have suffered a mental health battle are supported and return to good health. These days Kieran still wrongly believes he has a chance at comedy, enjoys meditation, motorbikes, surfing and a well made lager!
