Today, Tomorrow’s Technologies (T3) enables our scientists, engineers and innovators to establish a daily dialogue with a non-techy listener. This engagement will expand our understanding of how technology can impact our daily lives. The goal is to simplify, avoid the tech mystery and encourage the study or participation in these new disciplines. T3 benefits will answer the following questions: a. What are the positive or negative impacts in the new technology? b. When can these technologies impact our daily routine? c. How can society benefit from these technologies? T3 will cover a variety of engineering, scientific and future technologies. Topics include autonomous vehicles, disruptive products, cyber technologies, smart homes/devices, unmanned aerial vehicles, smart phone, now what?, space exploration/activities, electric technologies, energy/alternate energy, tech government vs commercial, technology in high schools, future robots, and the next inventions.
Over the last 12 months of Season 5, I have highlighted various technologies and innovations. I have shared my stories of owning and using these technologies, innovation or gadgets. Our human endeavors and advancements are now simpler, better or easier. In today’s podcast, I’ll provide the audience a round robin of these adventures from self-driving vehicles, to the exploration of new model cars and motorcycles, to the excitement of underwater and space environments. It has been debated in the last few years that we need to enhance the US commitment to the development of Nuclear Power. At T3 we have devoted several podcasts on nuclear power both in the US and internationally. Concerns have been the safety of new reactors, costs, and the actual process to recycle nuclear waste. Additionally, our second guest is Mr. Steve Curtis a nuclear energy expert with over 30 years. I met Mr. William “Bill” Hitchcock at the 2004 DARPA Grand Challenge for Autonomous Vehicles. Bill was one of the 150+ volunteers that paid his own way to help kick start over a generation of self-driving cars. Over the years, we have stayed in touched about the technology opportunities we have shared over the years. Today, I have asked Bill to chat about his tech consulting business opportunities. Bill has over 20 years of experienced; a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and the Certified Scrum Master (CSM). One of the many interesting background, is Bill’s passion for turning his home into a smart home. We will discuss both of these technical passions in our show.
