If we say yes to anything that doesn’t help us make progress on our goals, our values and our purpose in life, then we are giving away the time and energy we could be using on the things that matter. Thinking through what is worth your time is the first step. Then we need to be bold enough to say no to two persuasive people – other people that we care about, and to ourselves. Saying no to yourself is being brutally honest about what you’re doing with your time and if it’s in your best interest to keep doing it. When you’re discouraged about things you haven’t finished yet … learn to love the process. Having things you haven’t finished feels terrible - because your brain is designed to nag you until you get it done. Of course finishing things when we can is a solution, but it’s just as important to lean in and accept that life is always unfinished business. It’s all about loving the process as much as the completed goal!

When an emotional storm is brewing … let it pass through and clear out. “Processing emotions” is a buzzword, but what does it really mean? How do you do it, and what’s the end goal?
