Give Screams A Chance is an experiment, where Devlin, metal music fan/ creator, tries to instil a love of heavy music in his mum. Each week, they will listen and review a few tracks of metal music, usually containing screaming vocals. Meanderings along the way are sure to include: mental health, what's for dinner, haemorrhoids, and much more. Join them for many laughs, and a serious attempt at deciphering why screaming is such a viscerally disliked part of music, unless you really like it, in which case you really love it.

In this sophomore episode of Give Screams A Chance, Devlin and mum get into some more STUFF! Devlin is quite transparent about some strangeness of his dreams, and mum mourns the loss of music festivals this summer due to the pandemic. On the metal side of things, Mum notices that some changes are happening in her brain as Car Bomb transports her into a space of nostalgia! After a healthy dose of antidepressants, the pair go into what “feeling” actually is.
In this episode they discuss The Armed, Car Bomb, Lingua Ignota and Agent Fresco.

Devlin and mum go into some unexpected territory in this first episode of G-SAC, discussing misogyny in metal, the woes of haemorrhoids, and the physiological responses that are had by so many to metal music. This being the first episode, they realize just how deep and genuine of a journey show will be for them! Devlin and mum listen to Frontierer, Loathe and Liturgy. Let’s see how mum feels about all this!
