In a matter of just a few weeks, the way of life as we know it has changed totally. Business closures. Social distancing. Layoffs and cutbacks. As the current pandemic continues to progress, it is easy to lose hope. Easy to lose perspective. For this sermon, we turn to an example in the Old Testament that gives us hope, and reminds us of the power of God to deliver us.
As the coronavirus continues to grow, it can cause fear in our hearts. But we who know Jesus also know the peace that He has given us. We are not a people of fear, but of faith, peace, and prayer.
Is this the hardest passage in the Bible? So many change their whole view of scripture, because of what they see here. But do the verses here contradict what the rest of the Bible says? Join us as we walk through this passage and see what God is saying.
As we continue on, Paul uses examples to show God’s purpose in election. Both examples he uses are based on faith. Let’s look together to see what this means for us.
What is election? What is God’s purpose when it comes to that? Let’s look at the context of what Paul writes, as well as the context of the Bible as a whole to answer this question. You will find that God has a predestined plan for man, and you.

In this message, we return to the account of David and Goliath, and dig in a bit. There is a question that needs to be answered. What does this mean for me? Is this saying that we can go and slay all the giants in our lives with one single blow? Or is it pointing to something bigger, someone bigger, who does for us the things we cannot do ourselves? In this first of a two part series, we turn to the beloved account of David and Goliath. 1000s of years later, it still speaks to us. As God’s people, we face some Goliath issues today. The question is: will we stand up? Is there not a cause? Join us as we learn what truths this holds for us today, and how we can take steps to have an attitude like David.
You can find some interesting people in history who have done some great things. You can read and even write a book about them. But no one compares to Jesus. He is God. Savior. Lord. Friend. Listen as we walk through this wonderful passage of scripture and see how no one compares to Jesus!
All of us get the blahs from time to time. There are times in our lives when we just don’t care about much. Usually we snap out of it and move on. What about when we are stuck there? You can probably quote Romans 8:28. All things work together for our good. We love that verse, especially when life is easy, and we are happy, healthy, and wealthy. But what about when life is hard? What about those times when we cannot see any good in the situation? What then? Is God still good, and working for our good? In all reality, the message of the Bible to those who follow Christ is exactly that. There is so much more coming for us. More than this world can offer, and nothing can compare to it. God has a peaceful vibrant life for us. But there are roadblocks that can get in the way of that. Namely our flesh. So often, we keep ourselves from the peaceful life that God has called us to. Here Pastor Ryan show us what the Bible has to say about that.
