Ecclesiastes 3 — there is a time for everything under the sun. Maybe you’re mourning and grieving life and innocence that was stolen from you. I am here to remind you that you are loved by Christ. He loves you, he is FOR you, and you will dance again. Not maybe… not if, but when—so prepare for dancing. Your freedom is coming.
What does it mean to be a godly leader? Let’s dive into the word today and look into the heart of a true leader, a true worshipper of God.
What is your background in mental health and your education pertaining to the mental health field?
Have you seen a stigma within the field for mental health practitioners to seek help for their own mental health needs?
What is something you wish could change or that you know needs to change within the current model?

Do you think we have adequate care in Deep East Texas for mental health patients?
What do you believe we need to do to bring better care to our area and remedy the current model on a local level?
Is it our generation's responsibility to speak up for the voiceless so the next generation has a better model when seeking help?

Have we become so pretentious and so full of self righteousness that we won't go to the darkest places and talk on topics that deeply affect not only the world, but us as Christians? Will we not stand up and talk about the reality of relationships being destroyed, and the intimacy God created for a husband and wife being under attack? Will we not stand up for the women and children who are being drugged, living as an object in sex trafficking? If we cannot talk about this for fear of the truth, then we need a serious heart check. It's time to talk about the subject now more than ever. Did you know the average exposure to porn is 9 years old? You think your children are safe in their bed and asleep, when in reality predators lurk to make them another victim of child exploitation and sexual abuse. Why would the Church not talk about this? It's time we stopped the silence on a major issue and started speaking up with the authority of Christ...but do you dare?
Even when life is full of suffering and everything looks bleak, you can rest assured Jesus is for you. He loves you and he is beautiful. His grace for us is sufficient. His compassion is never ending, and he is the hope and light of the world. Suffering — is a gift.
Have you ever asked yourself what if God doesn’t heal me? I know I have. Tune in to check out a word that will let you know you’re never alone and you’re full of purpose. Even when you don’t feel it.
For so many years we’ve believed the lie that doubting God is sacrilegious in nature or something that is inherently bad. This could not be further from the truth. Doubting is not saying something is not true, it is in fact, questioning what we believe. It is so healthy to question what we believe and it is good to do so. I challenge you to lean into your doubts and be honest and open with God about how you are confused and questioning. He will honor you for that. Seeking and doubting is the catalyst for growth not only as a Christian, but in our walk with Christ himself. People need to know Christians doubt too! It’s normal guys! Be open. Be honest.
Jesus loves you and He became sin who knew no sin and killed death for you, so you could live and be free from your bondage and shame. Do you know Him as your Lord and Savior? If not… what’s stopping you from calling on His name?
All of us have had moments of instability mentally, emotionally, spiritually, etc. This is life and it’s not easy. Jesus never promised it would be. I want to look at the life of David — a man after God’s own heart. We see his bouts of depression and anxiety, along with spiritual highs apart from the valleys. This is life. This is the reality. Even though we have Jesus we are not above suffering. In fact, we suffer with Christ and he suffers with us. We are never alone. Love people with full intentionality today because you never know how much they need to hear they are loved and treasured. I know I need to be reminded from time to time when life gets heavy.
The honest reflection of someone who loves Jesus. Imagine if more people shared the truth without fear of condemnation and reprimand — how many people could be set free right now— today.
I hope you’ll join me with an open mind and leave all misconceptions behind as we seek to help others and love them the way Christ has loved us and called us to love others.
In 28 years I have to admit I’ve never read the Bible in its entirety. I have a feeling I’m not alone in this as a disciple of Jesus. I challenge you to dive deeper with me through this message in reading God’s word. I also challenge you to set aside a time every day just between you and God to sit and read scripture and also talk to him, and then just sit and listen. That’s right. Be quiet. And be still. Hard concept, I know.
I keep trying to live a holy life but what if I continue to fail God? Check this out here if you’re feeling this way. We all go through this but not everyone will admit it. It is possible, my friend, to live a holy life and be freed from past mistakes and trauma.
You are not broken beyond repair. You are loved and worthy. You are chosen and called. It’s ok to feel angry and upset and overwhelmed. It won’t always be this way.
Rise up Church against the spirit of Hamans! It is time to rise to the occasion, with Jesus as our King, professing the Gospel for the freeing of people in bondage!
Keep a short account with Christ. Daily examine your heart with Him. He loves you too much to leave you the way you are.
Galatians 5. It’s a battle between the flesh and soul. Listen here to discover more about God’s word and how we can stand up against the attacks of the enemy.
When we live in constant offense or with a heart ready to be hurt, we hurt others and in doing so hurt the heart of God. How did I get here? And how do I change? Our words hurt and leave damage in someone’s soul... we scar pieces of who they are by spewing out our anger on them instead of managing our emotions. With Christ I can change and you can change. We are all learning and growing. Thank God for his grace.
I have been through a lot of suffering in 25 years. Maybe you are in the same place of hopelessness and feel lost and abandoned. Maybe you are serving in ministry and you just feel ready to give up. Maybe you are a teacher, or a janitor, a high school basketball star... no matter who you are the simple truth is Jesus loves you and He is the only Hope we have in this dark world. Maybe you feel like taking your life because everything is just too hard and you think that is the only way out. Maybe you are going through a separation or divorce and have huge changes happening in your life that are scary and challenging and you don't hear God anymore. This is my message to you... to know God is not mad at you. He knows you better than you know yourself. My prayer over you is that you will make the choices God has called you to make long before you were born, and that you will take action in the uncomfortable areas in your life. It is scary. Let's be honest. Life is terrifying sometimes or maybe all the time. Listen to my testimony and I hope you get some sense of peace listening to how Christ saved me when I wanted to kill myself because I was in so much physical and mental hell. Share this with someone who is going through a hard time, and if you can't relate, this is for you too. Life is hard you guys... and if you haven't been through suffering, let me tell you it's coming. But take heart because Christ has already overcome.
