As we journey though our summer series "One Another: Cultivating Authentic Community," Pastor Caleb Hartwig will bring the message: "Bear One Another'sBurdens" from Galatians 6:1-5. Pastor Caleb will explore why we should bear each other's burdens and what that looks like.
Pastor Cory is on vacation until the beginning of August, and this week Jeff Scott continues our summer series "One Another: Cultivating Authentic Community,"with the message,"Serving One Another: Slaves to Servants." As Christians, we've been set free to serve one another in love, but the Galatian church has gone back to the old way of demanding "Jesus +", meaning the cross wasn't enough. Meanwhile others used their freedom to indulge the flesh. Both are enslaved. We see this today in churches and certainly in our society. As Christians, we're motivated to serve our neighbours out of a response to the true gospel -- that it's Jesus only who saves. Jeff Scott served at a church in Ladner for a number of years, as a part-time youth pastor, then associate pastor, while also working as a police officer. He recently earned a doctorate degree in ministry leadership from Liberty University. God has led him from pastoral ministry to a management position with Creation Events and Concerts. Jeff started attending TAC recently and has found "the community amazing and the focus on solid biblical teaching inspiring."
Pastor Cory continues our summer series "One Another: Cultivating Authentic Community" with the message "Forgive One Another" based on Matthew 18:15-35.
