The press conference and interview were recorded on July 22nd 2020 at Casa Del Popolo. From the open letter:

"Canada and Israel Free Trade Agreement Must End with Annexation.

Canada and Israel maintain an extensive free trade agreement, CIFTA, first established in 1997 and “modernized” through two phases of negotiations in 2014-2015 and 2017-2018.

In 2019 the Liberal government publicly celebrated the revamped agreement, with the former Minister of International Trade Diversification announcing : “Canada and Israel are steadfast friends and allies, and we have an impressive number of cooperative activities taking place between our two countries.”

As the Israeli government moves to annex large parts of the Palestinian West Bank, including the Jordan Valley, the Canadian government must cancel CIFTA.

Across the world international human rights organizations, activists and even some governments are taking diplomatic action. Yet Canada has failed to respond to the urgency of this brazen act of colonization by the Israeli state in occupied Palestine.

Today, the undersigned organizations and individuals stand together to collectively call on the Canadian government to cancel the Canada-Israel Free Trade Agreement,

This is a broad coalition, representing labour unions, cultural organizations, community groups and activist collectives. We express our support and solidarity with the Palestinian struggle against ongoing Israeli colonization, while rejecting the complicity of the Canadian government’s moves to create diplomatic cover for Israeli actions. We must not stay silent."

**If you'd like to sign on in support of the letter, email us at xxfilesradio@gmail.com and we'll forward your contact information to the organizers.

His alphabet, called Visible Speech, was initially meant to help deaf people learn how to speak, thanks to its visual nature. http://www.dianaduta.com/

Xuan Ye (CN/CA) is the prototype of many objects. X makes media poetry synthesizing language, code, sound, body, light, time and reflection through diagrammatic processes and multimedial translations. X’s works speculate on systemic problems and distributed consciousness in various interconnected networks. More recently, X has been collaborating with artificial intelligence and non-human agents to co-author aesthetic experiences.

XI XI 息息 is Xuan Ye’s debut album. Compiled from solo improvisations across a three year span, the recordings comprise a fascinating document of X’s foundational ideas; free improvisation, computational randomness, hybrid chaos of gestures and mediated bio-electrical currents. XI XI 息息 is out on November 29th on Halocline Trance (LP, WAV). Distributed by SRD and available to purchase via fine music retailers worldwide. Press enquiries: halocline.trance@gmail.com

An interview with artist and filmmaker Dani tardif talks about the movie they directed with "Le Collectif de Hron"

https://www.facebook.com/hronlefilm/

«hron : a country of ghosts» is an heterotopian science fiction feature movie taking place in a queer universe. It's a friendship story through which people unite and believe that another way of living is possible, but that they must fight to preserve their way of life. Dydo Horacki, a trans non-binary journalist from the borolian empire, comes to the mountain regions of the Cerracs to report news from the front. As the Empire expects to quietly expand its borders, they will be surprised by resistance on land that was assumed to be uninhabited.

Cornelia Sollfrank (PhD) is an artist, researcher and university lecturer, currently living in Berlin.

Her means of expression include writing, performance, sound, video and (other) Internet-based formats. Recurring subjects in her artistic and academic work about digital cultures are authorship, self-organization, gender and techno-feminism. As a pioneer of Internet art, Cornelia Sollfrank built up a reputation with two central projects: the net.art generator – a web-based art-producing ‘machine,’ and Female Extension – her famous hack of the first competition for Internet art. Her experiments with the basic principles of aesthetic modernism implied conflicts with its institutional and legal framework and led to her academic research. In her PhD “Performing the Paradoxes of Intellectual Property,” Cornelia investigated the increasingly conflicting relationship between art and copyright.
