Proverbs of Solomon
1 The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother.
2 Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.
3 The Lord will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked.
4 He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.
5 He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.
The Just and the Wicked
6 Blessings are upon the head of the just: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
7 The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot.
8 The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall.
9 He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.
10 He that winketh with the eye causeth sorrow: but a prating fool shall fall.
11 The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
12 Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.
The Lips of Understanding
13 In the lips of him that hath understanding wisdom is found: but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding.
14 Wise men lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction.
15 The rich man's wealth is his strong city: the destruction of the poor is their poverty.
16 The labour of the righteous tendeth to life: the fruit of the wicked to sin.
17 He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth.
18 He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool.
The Lips of the Righteous
19 In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.
20 The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart of the wicked is little worth.
21 The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom.
22 The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
23 It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.
24 The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.
25 As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.
26 As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that send him.

We live in a time when God's law is rejected, and it is sometimes difficult for the believer to discern how to set boundaries in relating to the surrounding culture. This Out of the Question Podcast is a response to a question from a regular listener.
For well over 500 years now, Western civilization has been in a state of civil war, with two aspects thereof in a growing conflict with one another. These two contending forces are humanism and Christianity. Humanism began its rise to power in the medieval era, and its strength was such that it captured the church, much of the academic world, and the state as well.
At the same time, however, the growing bankruptcy and imminent collapse of humanism has been increasingly in evidence. By replacing God with man as the new ultimate and absolute, humanism has introduced moral anarchy into the world. If every man is his own god and law, then no order is rationally possible. Humanism, having deified rationality, must now use the irrational and coercive power of the socialist state to hold society together.

Chalcedon president guests in this episode of the Out of the Question Podcast where he discusses how humanism, unlike biblical faith, has no moral force behind it, and is left with only coercion and brute force as its means of governance.
Deuteronomy is the “go to” book for theocracy because it’s the most clear about the importance of the law and its application in the promised land where Israel would no longer be guided by the pillars of cloud and fire nor miraculously provided for by manna and water out of a rock.
Wilderness season is ending, so the emphasis of the law will shift to governing a people within their own country instead of as a nomadic people in the wilderness. This is extremely helpful for the church today.
When the average Christian thinks of “healing,” he or she thinks of the physical body and not the world itself, but the final chapter of the Bible describes a great river going out to the ends of the earth leading to the healing of the nations. What does this mean and do we have a part to play in this? Chalcedon’s Martin Selbrede helps us to understand this great vision.
"Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device." Acts 17:29

P is for Prejudice
Christians should become teachers because children are born with prejudice in their hearts, they will be taught prejudice in their home, and they will be taught prejudice in their school. Christians should become teachers because the world of education from the youngest of ages to the highest pinnacle of academic establishments have been hijacked by humanistic revolutionaries that want all of the children in the world to learn from them. These schools desire to birth the spiritual children of the revolution and the first thing that must be burnt down are families, all families, only then can the new society and new humanistic revolutionary family emerge and take command of the future!

Christians should become teachers because the purpose of education institutions to train young people in the knowledge of reading, writing, arithmetic, and more has been hijacked by anarchistic humanistic religious extremists that will tirelessly use educational institutions as their tool for moral, cultural, and political rebellion and change. The modern educational systems have been turned into new education camps where history is rewritten, math is perverted, science is denied, biology is rejected, and anarchistic political activism is the ultimate goal for the individual soul to occupy itself with. In short, true education is dying on the altar of religious humanism and its pursuit of power.

Why Chrisitans Should Become Teachers
Chritians should become teachers because the world is full of horrible, terrible, destructive humanistic advice for parents and teachers that is a spring from which all of the parenting advice and teacher training flows. This advice not only does not work, it produces the exact opposite from which it promises to produce. If children and families are truly going to be blessed and prosperous in this life they must be taught the truth concerning children, the world, and where true happiness is to be found.

Are there things to which God is indifferent? Are there areas of life that are neutral, and we as man can create our own moral standards? Anyone familiar with Rushdoony’s work is familiar with the phrase “the myth of neutrality,” but are we familiar with an ancient problem in the church known as adiaphorism?
The meaning of the term is “things indifferent,” or areas of life that God does not legislate and therefore man has the freedom to legislate. The end result is anything but freedom. Its consequences are sin and totalitarianism.

The relationship between fear, guilt, atonement, and freedom is explored in episode #165 of the Out of the Question Podcast.
Can the Christian worldview give a reason to believe in the things that we all take for granted -- those things which are necessary for anything to be understandable (e.g., Universal Objective Morality, Uniformity of Nature, Laws of Logic, the General Reliability of our Memories, and the General Reliability of our Senses)? Can any other worldview account for these Preconditions of Intelligibility.

The corrosive forces of humanism are creating great fear throughout the world as the bottom falls out for man’s morality and social order. Humanity struggles to contend with an unending supply of crises because their worldview is bankrupt.
Rushdoony wrote, “The only thing that can counteract and overcome the deadly personal and social effects of the Great Fear is the Great Faith,” and that means a faith that overcomes the world!

Episode #156 of the Out of the Question Podcast discusses how discounting the reliability of the book of Genesis, by failing to take God's Word as He gave it, has major implications for our society. (Charles H. Roberts)
Christians should become teachers because Humanism attempts to convince children to reject the Word of God and the world of reality, and teaches delusional humanistic fairy tales as if they were facts. Millions of children every year are raised on destructive stories based on the humanist faith and religion.
When these children are grown and live out the faith they have been taught all their lives are filled with pain, destruction, loneliness, and death. If Christians are going to help change this trend they are going to have to get involved, and that starts by teaching children the truth from the youngest of ages.
In this episode of the Out of the Question Podcast, author and commentator, Lee Duigon, discusses the effect of digital learning on students and its consequence of dumbing down education.
The bad words of political systems are fascism, socialism, and theocracy, but does the average truly understand the definitions of each term? Take fascism, for example. Groups like Antifa—defined as anti-fascist—act more fascist than those they accuse, so what exactly is fascism?
The same goes for socialism and theocracy. They are terms we throw around to demonize our political opponents without truly understand their meaning—especially in a Biblical sense.
In this episode of the Chalcedon Podcast, we discuss the meaning of these political systems and what the Bible has to say about God’s form of government.
In a world of products not meant to last but a short time, have we adopted the same attitude regarding people? In this episode of the Out of the Question Podcast, author Daniel E. Johnson discusses his book, "Disposable: When Dating Is Not Loving Your Neighbor."
Chritians should become Christians because there has been a deliberate replacement of knowledge by revelation and experience by certified ideological professionals. Nothing is true unless it is in accordance with humanistic ideologies, no one should teach unless they have been certified and given permission to do so by humanistic agencies, and no one has answers to life’s problems that does not have a title awarded to them by the same. The tyranny of the educational experts must be broken, and only Christians have the tools to do that, Faith and the Word of God.

If God's law-word is not used as the absolute standard, it is possible for Christians to be aligned with people and groups that are working in opposition to God. This episode of the Out of the Question Podcast addresses the concept of "controlled opposition" and how to discern one's potential involvement.
D is for Discipline
Christians should become Christians because modern humanistic ideological beliefs concerning child-rearing and discipline are being taught as facts, and the Biblical doctrines concerning child-rearing and discipline are being taught as destructive and abusive. For the past few decades, the seeds of humanism have been sown, and now the destructive consequences of anti-biblical ideologies are clearly seen. Christians need to get involved if more generations can be spared.

In this episode of the Out of the Question Podcast, Family Protection Ministries' senior legislative analyst, Nathan Pierce, discusses his advocacy role in protecting Christian homeschooling families from those who would seek to hinder their liberty.
God commands us to live by every word that proceeds out of His mouth, and that includes the way we respond to times of turbulence and crisis. How can we navigate through seasons of uncertainty without the sure foundation of God’s Word? How can we as Christians address the times in which we live? Some Christians believe it’s more godly to be poor, but is it also godly to be a doom-sayer? That’s what we discuss in this episode of Out of the Question.
“Both liberties and powers are alike limited, under God, and hence under law. Liberty is limited and power is limited because the temporal order is under God.” (The One & The Many, p. 20)
For fallen man, the political battle is always one of power vs liberty. Some men seek for liberty while the remaining seek for power. For example, anarchists and libertarians desire liberty while socialists, technocrats, politicians, and oligarchs seek for power.
To seek power is to emphasize the “one,” while to seek liberty is to emphasize the “many.”
This is an unresolvable conflict without God as the determining factor for both power and liberty, which is resolved in the law of God and the kingship of Christ.
Therefore, both power and liberty are limited by law—God’s law.
Part of the educational mission of Chalcedon is to restore this presupposition and further the development of its implications, and that’s the subject of this episode of The Chalcedon Podcast.
We all want to participate as laborers for the harvest, but we may be missing the opportunities that are right in front of us such as Christian education. Listen and discover effective ways to serve God’s Kingdom!
“Christian Reconstruction” is a school of thought that is diametrically opposed to the autonomous reason of man which itself has long infected Christianity.
Today’s Christian assumes that fallen man is an impartial judge over knowledge and reality—that he is “neutral”—and that fallen man can be “reasoned” into faith.
R. J. Rushdoony continued the battle against modern man’s pretended neutrality by building off the thinking of his mentor, Dr. Cornelius Van Til, who himself was developing the implications of the Dutch school that began with Abraham Kuyper.
In this episode of the Chalcedon Podcast, hosts Mark Rushdoony, Martin Selbrede, and Andrea Schwartz share a short history of the Dutch school as well as the implications of this philosophy on modern Christianity.
What is theonomy? Why is it necessary? What happens when it’s applied? What happens when it’s not? In episode #146 of the Out of the Question Podcast, Chalcedon President Mark Rushdoony explains the Biblical laws regarding justice in obtaining lawful criminal convictions.
In this edition of the Out of the Question Podcast, Charles and Michelle Roberts share how the Lord used suffering in their lives to teach them more about themselves and their faith.
In Romans 12:2, the apostle Paul writes, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” The dynamic of New Covenant living is the radical pursuit of proving the will of God for every area of life, but does that mean the Old Testament prophets are obsolete?
Quite the contrary, the whole of God’s Word is for us including the law and the prophets, one of the joys of Christian living is studying the entirety of Scripture in order to see its application for life and thought.
In this episode of the Chalcedon Podcast, hosts Mark Rushdoony, Martin Selbrede, and Andrea Schwartz share insights on how we can better glean God’s good, acceptable, and perfect will of God from all of God’s Word.
In this episode of the Out of the Question Podcast, Catherine Brown discusses her literature curriculum, the Biblio Monde, as a way to teach critical thinking, discernment, and apologetics to young children.
A discussion of Biblical wisdom contrasted with being worldly-wise is the subject of episode #143 of the Out of the Question Podcast.
In this episode of Justice in His Kingdom, Roger Oliver and Jerri Lynn Ward interview the three authors of this especially important book analyzing the response of the church during the Covid19 lockdowns. The authors are Ernest Springer, III, BS, Joel E. Yeager, MD, and Daniel O’Roarke, D.O., FACC.
Mr. Springer is the Founder & Trustee of Old Paths Publications, Inc.. Dr. Joel E. Yeager is a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine and the proprietor of Heritage Family Health, PC in Nemanstown, Pennsylvania. These men found each other when the furor over Covid19 started and collaborated on the book that is the title of this podcast.
The book lays “out for the Christian the response of Church leadership as they attempted, with both compassion and good intent, to command a response by God’s people to its actions and directives. Within the scope of the following chapters we will see how the Scripture, the Confessions, church history, medical science, and governmental influence all affect and demand a prioritized evaluation and Biblical response as to faith and life. In doing so this work will hopefully serve as a primer and guide for the future of the Christian Church as they seek to obey the Sovereign God rather than man.”
The book can be found at Lulu.com in paperback and as an e-book. It can also be found at Amazon. Dr. Yeager has additional information and resources in this section of his website. Dr. O’Roarke has a 15 month compilation of essays, medical resources and editorials presenting evidence against the mainstream Covid narrative here. Mr. Springers Old Paths Publishing has a Facebook page here.
The authors have also been interviewed on the podcast Iron Sharpens Iron in a 3 part series: Part 1, Part 2 and Part 2.

In episode # 140 of the Out of the Question Podcast, a long-time physician discusses how medicine has changed and how he shares his faith with his patients.
Rushdoony often noted that the way to build Christian civilization—or save it—is to restore the spiritual capital of faith and character. This is a central part of the work of Christian Reconstruction because it’s established upon God’s Kingdom, His law, and the covenant He established through Jesus Christ.
As we labor to restore that spiritual capital, it’s important that we secure ourselves during uncertain times, and to do that means putting the Kingdom of God first before all things. There is no greater security than the firstness of the Kingdom.

Rushdoony wrote a chapter on “Extraterritoriality” in his volume Christianity and the State, in which he emphasized the importance of understanding the church as an embassy—and we as ambassadors of Christ—in the earth.

Outside of the Bible itself, no other literature or writer is referred to more in Rushdoony’s writings than his mentor, Dr. Cornelius Van Til. It’s difficult to estimate the importance of Van Til on Rushdoony, but as their personal history shows, Rushdoony was more than a student of Van Til. He was a defender of the Dutchman, a colleague, and one of the most prolific expounders of applied presuppositionalism.
You’ll enjoy this in-depth discussion as Chalcedon’s leadership shares not only the importance of Van Til’s thinking but also the personal history between Rushdoony and Van Til. A lot of other prominent scholars have done a great deal to expound Van Til’s apologetic, but it was Van Til’s epistemology and ethics that helped drive a young Rushdoony to develop the implications of theonomy.

Christians should become teachers because dedicated religious Humanists are systematically using subversive language and tactics to undermine the religious convictions of children and society. Their goal is to purge Christian doctrines from man and society and instill in man and society new Humanistic doctrines of morality that are to be the new foundation for both man and society.

B is for Biology: How Humanism perverts facts and is harmful to your child.
Christians should become teachers because there is a deliberate and organized effort to replace the most basic facts about man’s biology with a fictional reality that exists only in the imagination of religious radical Humanists. This distortion of the truth about man and his being leads to confusion, fear, and destructive long-term life decisions that can not undone.
And perhaps the most important questions is, what can Christians do about this?

Godly dominion and Christian Reconstruction are not a “work of the flesh,” where men presume to be able to usher in the Kingdom of God through their own works, political action, or any other humanistic means.

It’s often said that those attracted to Christian Reconstruction are serious readers, and for that reason, much of the growth of CR is the result of publishing books, newsletters, and journals.
In this episode, Chalcedon’s leadership discuss the joy and importance of reading as well as the unique reading and study habits of R. J. Rushdoony.
They also share a glimpse of the future of Christian publishing.
An introduction to a good friend of mine, and a teacher of Christian Reconstruction, as well as a man who the world would now thank if they listened to him when he made his debut in 1980 concerning Monetary Realism, this man is Bruce G. McCarthy.
Knowing that his message is so pertinent for today and that I can not share it any better, it is worth having my now late brother in Christ as guest on this episode of Sola Scrip Torah.
I hope you learn something?

Christians should become teachers because there is a militant and radical group of religious Humanists that will stop at nothing until they have captured the hearts, minds, and souls of every child in America, and the choice is either leave our nation's children at the mercy of those that would lie to them and lead them down a path of personal and societal suicide or to get involved and do something about it as we have already been commanded to do.

Roger Oliver and Jerri Lynn Ward interview Tim Yarbrough about his efforts against the scourge of sex trafficking. Learn Biblical strategies for advancing the Kingdom and bringing God's justice to victims.
Tim lives in the county where he was born and raised and always lived with his wife Deborah. He has been a serial entrepreneur for over 4 decades and a dedicated mentor to others.
At the local level, where Tim's real passion resides, he and other local Christians have developed processes for (1) the care of widows and seeking to recover that care back within the framework of the family; (2) the care of abused women and children from inside the religious world (mostly Protestant) including immediate care, housing, Biblically-based counseling, job training, work opportunities, etc. (3) helping rescue victims of sex trafficking by working on the ground and with legal teams, (4) the creation of an adoption program where the goal is that all abandoned babies throughout their North Alabama area will find permanent acceptance within a committed Christian family, and (5) supporting orphans in a variety of applications.
An examination of the presuppositions of "modern science" are discussed in episode #108 of the Out of the Question Podcast.
On this episode we will dive back into the foundations of Covenant Theology, Taking a look at the pre-manifestation language of the Prophet Isaiah, as well as t the Words about our Lord and statements by our Lord concerning that which was immutably said before the foundations of the world by his own witness in the confirming of the Covenant of Grace.
We will then consider dispensationalism's attempt to take away and add to the Covenants of God, as well as how that theology would oppose a Theonomy in its nature.
We will then finally take a look at death penalty offenses, particularly of the example given to us from 1 Corinthians 5, of 'Incest' and ask the question, "What is the difference between Moses' Theonomy and the Corinthian Church?", and then to top it all off, we'll look at the death penalty for adultery administered under a Theonomic reformed government in history, an see how Christ's blood was understood by the executed person.

Is confrontation something the Christian should avoid or pursue? This is the topic of episode #107 of the Out of the Question Podcast.
In 1965, during a time of rioting, revolution, and a break down of law and order, Rushdoony began the Chalcedon Foundation in order to represent a countermeasure to the prevailing ideas of that time as well as equip disillusioned Christians with a victorious gospel.
His writings during this time were especially prescient, and what we are experiencing now is a close reflection of what was happening during the 1960s.
Join us as we discuss our times in light of what the Bible says and consider the only way forward: Christian Reconstruction.
So many today are wondering...."Whats the meaning of all this ... and ... what method of handling it all ... is best?"
Today on Pressing Into The Kingdom, we're exploring the differences between method.....and meaning....and in so doing.....revealing the real meaning.....of life.
In the Theonomy and Reconstructionist camp we have two problems that commonly occur and then combine with varied results:
When these two problems interface with one another it often produces thought processes that are aimed at avoiding the conflict rather than dividing the matters by the rule of Sola Scriptura.
1 answer, however, exists to solve both problems forever, an answer that has been since before the foundations of the world... an immutable oath for confirmation as an end of all strife.
Please join us again to discuss The Impact of Covenant Theology on Theonomy!

Considering the impact of ignoring the Lordship of God over all areas of salvation, can lead to like impacts upon our worldview which lend it self desiring bondage over sonship.
Soteriology affect the way we think and act in the world we live in, and the world we live actively attempts to ignore the Lordship of the LORD and His Christ unto it's own deification as master.
More and more believers are facing the storms of life.... without even opening their umbrella.

Whether or not Christians should obey any order forbidding congregational signing in church is the topic of the 104th episode of the Out of the Question Podcast.
Our last direct look at the subject of Christian self sufficiency, from Grace to providing an inheritance for ones Godly posterity. Today in a world riddled with trouble and fear, the churches mind should be reeling with questions and answers to help in the future- this 6th episode of Sola Scrip Torah is dedicated to that end.
Troubles come and go, no matter how well we try to prepare ourselves, or even how hard we try to avoid them.. Job 5:7 says: For man is born for trouble, as sparks fly upward.
In this episode, we're looking into the book of James to gain a better view of how we're to handle the bumps and even the fender benders, on the hazardous journey........ of life.
In episode #103 of the Out of the Question Podcast, the effect of humanistic philosophy on medicine and health mandates is discussed.
Does the Bible address the issue of abuse? Whether domestic, social, or ecclesiastical, there is physical, emotional, and even spiritual abuse at every level of society.
In this episode, Chalcedon scholar, Martin Selbrede, reveals the Biblical approach to dealing with abuse.
For several years, Martin has researched the subject extensively and is currently finalizing a massive study on abuse for Chalcedon’s new academic journal.
Although news and social media are currently replete with topics about the virus or social justice, the evil of abuse continues its growth undercover, and Christians must be alert to it in order to bring God’s justice to bear upon it.
Hosted by Martin Selbrede and Andrea Schwartz.
True Self Sufficiency is rooted your treasure in Heaven, for there is where your heart is. The Christian's every aim and goal is to serve his Master and this service must interface with the world we live in as creatures that are allured by Mammon. What is the answer?
How do we reconcile not taking thought for tomorrow with the Godly care of preparing for ourselves and families?

The term 'self- sufficiency' is a known term, folks use it often to speak of preparing for the future needs of physical life, but what about the spiritual needs of Christian life?
In this Episode we are going to look at the absolute need for knowing where all sufficiency comes from, as is acknowledged by a Christian; as well we are going to considering how the Christian Family with in the Church is have a 'self-sufficiency' built upon the Grace of God in the bounds of brotherly love.
Christ is corner stone, Scripture is the foundation, and Brotherly Love is the frame work of Christian Reconstruction!

A look at the biblical ideal of Truth as it is found foremost in the influence of the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth and how a Christian is lead into 'all truth' by a desire to see Christ glorified.
Also a consideration of gender and racial issues as they are presented and defended from the position of hidden knowledge of a science falsely so called or a religious perspective more interested in defending emotional positions of comfort in the modern context while becoming unfruitful in the process.
People are crying out for justice, but they’re willing to be unjust in order to secure their justice. Mankind has a distorted view of justice, or righteousness, because they do not submit themselves to the righteousness of God as found in His law-word.
What do the Scriptures provide us in order that we may better understand and act during these difficult times? That’s what this episode of the Chalcedon Podcast is about.

In episode #99 of the Out of the Question Podcast, Mark Rushdoony provides a history of his father's efforts to help secure educational freedom for Christian education, and the steps we must take to do the same for today's battles.
In this episode we are going to discuss the disjunction between a God centered world view and a man centered world view in terms of Justice and objective truth; and apply the revelation of Righteousness by God's Law and the Wisdom of Scripture to the Big News of the last few weeks of George Floyd and Officer Derek Chauvin. We will be asking "What does the Law of God via the Scriptures say about the Justice of this matter?",

Do we want God to liberate us from tyranny? Here's what we have to do.
He will not answer our prayers until we treat him as king. A real king, the real king, our political leader. Otherwise, he's not interested.
Who is responsible to take care of children? What is "schooling" or "education?" What kind of product are we trying to produce? Are you a good parent? Is homeschooling good for everyone?
Listen and find out.
Is Bill Gates a woman, is Melinda gates a reptile, I doubt it. But even if they were, what could we do about it. There are a host of issues vying for attention over which we don't have any control, and which don't even get close to getting to the heart of the matter.
The heart of the matter is a thorough-going sanctification of the believer in accordance with the heart of God, that is, the Law of God, and an outworking of that into the family, churches and the state. That's where it's at, leave the lizard people alone!
More citizens are experiencing a pronounced overreach by their local governments which is giving them a taste of authoritarianism they’re not familiar with. What they don’t realize is that this was always the case. Their liberties were always under threat by the bloated bureaucracy of statism.
But for Christians, they must take civil authoritarianism seriously and begin the work of Christian Reconstruction.
