Broke my elbow in March and needed surgery, after three weeks of agony and feeling crap decided to channel my energy into doing some one armed digging through the shelves and hunting online for some new bits. Found myself drawn to lots of beautiful deep and warm sounding house music. The mix is a nice balance of beautiful old deep house from the likes of Larry heard, Ron Trent and Ian Pooley alongside fresh new tackle from Nonna Fab, Benedict and others. Its my favourite mix ive done in a long old while. Hope you enjoy it x

It's Dan J's 50th birthday on 16th November and I wanted to celebrate that by doing a one off Huddle Hot Mix with some of the records we played over our five years of playing in warehouses, clubs and pubs across Sheffield. Spent the last few months going back over the 90 or so radio shows, podcasts and guest mixes as well as wracking my rum addled brain for some of the beautiful moments we had. Been asked by a few people for "huddle" mixes over the past few years but it's always felt a bit mawkish and not for me, it being his 50th feels like the perfect time to celebrate this tiny part of his wonderful inimitable life. Great day of celebrations planned for the 16th November across Hagglers Corner in Sheffield, something Dan was really clear he wanted to happen. 16th November at Hagglers Corner Grub Records 2pm till late Angela Kendal, Danny Lynn, Danny Mager, Medlar, FYI Chris, Nonna Fab, Sunny Side Up, Tom Unlikely, Wow & Flutter and Mike O'Mara Hagglers Corner Bar and Attic, till late Crucial Youth, Strobe Life, Angela Kendall and loads more of D's day ones.This mix is specific to Huddle, from his Jester days to scratching with Andy H and playing at Act Like Ya Know, Scuba, Dont Walk Boogie, Kabal and loads more, up to his Strobe Life days with Solid, itd be impossible to cover all the great eras Dan had DJ wise.
