In this Soundcloud account, I cover music from all my eras and aliases, including Simon Shackleton, Elite Force, Zodiac Cartel and Lunatic Calm.
I feature a TON of vintage and current DJ mixes from my 25 years on the frontline as well as many classic revamps, remixes and originals.
"Anyone who parties knows that there is often a track in the night that for a few moments, stops your stomp while you fully appreciate the amazing piece of music, the DJ for playing it and the positive energy given off by the dancefloor faithful that surrounds you on your sacred spot, before you then snap out of it and dance every single one of your troubles away. You might have already guessed it, but Shack’s new masterpiece is very much one of those types of tracks!" [✊ Sid Wesley at Life Support Machine]
The thinking behind this piece was to create a piece of heavy, but joyously uplifting, rolling breaks that would transport people to a special place in space & time.
I imagined heading out to the Deep Playa in the heart of the Nevada desert with a beautifully dialled in sound system, closing my eyes and just dancing my heart out with wild abandon. In many ways this track owes as much to my love of heavy, hypnotic guitar music as it does the pure electronics of the dancefloor as it builds to a raging, ecstatic intensity with layer-upon-layer of synthetic and real-world drones.
In the heart of this global pandemic let's join together and touch the sky.

This is an extended re-creation of a set I played at Raveart's 'Retro' Halloween party at Auditorio Rocio Jurado in Sevilla on 26th October 2019. It features a wealth of tracks from my own back catalogue that have been Remastered as part of a major Elite Force Singles Collection scheduled for release on U&A Recordings on NOVEMBER 15th 2019.
The tracklisting for the set is as follows ...
This was the final One Series show in a 5-year run of events that began at Cellspace in San Francisco back in 2012.
These sets gave me a much-needed chance to breathe and to branch out from the peaktime headline shows I'd been playing for many years. They allowed me time to spread my wings musically and explore different tempos and different flavours and tell a story from cover to cover. They inspired me and kept me going at a time when I was deeply disillusioned by electronic music's move into the bubblegum candy-pop of the supersized McRave.
I believe that music has the power to affect people deeply and that it can be felt on a spiritual level, and during these sets I always felt that connection profoundly. I'm proud of what I achieved with them and that a beautiful legacy remains.
This particular set had to be reconstructed from 2/3rds of the way through as the recorder malfunctioned, but I didn't want to leave the Final One unarchived, so here it is in all of it's 6-hours of glory.
Much love and a massive thank you to all the thousands of people who have supported me in this journey. xoxo

When I returned from Burning Man in 2012 I was beyond inspired. Within 5 weeks of getting back I had written 7 new tunes and decided to be true to myself in recording my most personal tracks as Simon Shackleton. This fresh recording of Ten10 was made in 2016 with forensic attention to detail.
This track, above all of my recordings past and present, resonated so strongly to me that I dedicated it to my mother who passed away back in 2000.
10/10 was her birthday and when I play it, I feel her presence acutely.

This brand new remix is one of several re-interpretations of 'Piece of Me' album tracks I've been working on recently. It was described by Hybrid as "A cracking beautifully well crafted journey into late nights at early UK festivals…..Beauty..!"
This remix is currently only available as a high quality download via http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/simon-shackleton/updates where you can get involved in supporting my music for as little as $10 (in exchange for a minimum of 15 WAV-quality tracks, and my eternal gratitude).
The Original of 'Good Chameleon' will be available from 20th June via www.simonshackleton.org as a free 192kbs download.
The 'Twisted Tech Mix' of 'Piece of Me' is an elongated, dubbed out slice of dirty techno-fire that's been lighting up many a dancefloor over the past few weeks. Unlike the album tracks which are available as 192kbs free downloads from www.simonshackleton.org this remix and all the remixes of album tracks are available only to Pledge Supporters until later in the year.
You can Pledge for as little as $10 which gives you access to all digital files in WAV or 320kbs quality via http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/simon-shackleton
Much <3 and thank YOU for the support, Simon
This Mini Album Sampler is a mix that hints at what's to come. I hope you enjoy listening to the music as much as I enjoyed making it. xoxo
The 2014 DISTRIKT set ... back by popular demand (after Soundcloud killed the DISTRIKT account).
That was a truly unforgettable night in London.
We've had some amazing boat parties over the years, but it felt like there was something particularly special in the air. The transition to a One Series set was so much fun for me personally, starting out with some low slung funk & percussive deep house, rolling through the gears with some widescreen tech & bass house and finally bringing home the bacon with an anthemic outburst of classic techno.
I can't thank family and friends enough for being so supportive, so engaged, so welcoming, and so THERE. Such a spectacular, and special night. Thank you all.

This exclusive mix includes an interview, with me sat in a car park somewhere tuning into the Internet. From Space.

The Xmas Boat Party in 2014 was a last minute thing, and we took to the tiny Tideway for a night of gargantuan beats and sonic smiles. Here's the recording, untouched.
Big <3 to you all and thanks for the support in 2014. xo
This set was originally put together for RaveArt's 'Retro Festival' in Southern Spain which primarily focuses on OLD skool breakbeat sounds. On the night, my set was badly hampered by major monitoring issues in the booth, so I spent the following day re-creating the mix as I'd intended it to sound.
I hope you enjoy it (there are several unreleased tracks in there you may never have heard before). s
Another truly EPIC Sold Out Boat Party on the Thames ... simply one of the best nights of the year!
Thanks to all who came & shook their stuff, and to Gower Preston, Ben Child, Craig Whitaker, and the team of Distrikt DJs (Kramer, Ben Seagren and Darren Grayson) for helping us bring the heat for the 5th year running.
xoxo
The very first edition of The One Series took place on 10th November 2012 at Inner Mission / Cellspace in San Francisco in conjunction with Stereophoenix, Vau de Vire Society and DISTRIKT.
The One Series is all about taking music out of the clubs and into the extraordinary, with each event in the series featuring One Room, One DJ, All Night. Our goal is to tell stories in fabulous environments with amazing people.
This summer I had a host of high profile UK & European Festivals and spent 3-4 weeks of solid studio time beforehand, tweaking and enhancing each & every track I played for maximum muscle. I re-edited and Revamped a total of 160 tracks during the process.
And then I went out and SMASHED it :)
Hope you enjoy this recording of my headline set from the wonderful Wickerman Festival in Scotland on a weekend where I also played Kendal Calling and Secret Garden Party before collapsing in a heap on Monday morning at 3am.

Enjoy, s
Well that was something else. Truly.
This was the fourth successive year I'd played a sunrise on the Playa with my most excellent friends at the Nutz camp, and this year everyone upped the bar. The One Series (my vehicle for DJs to express themselves fully through uber-long sets) effectively sprang out of the love & passion for these ethereal mornings at Burning Man, so it seemed fitting that this would become One Playa Sunrise.
As with every year the sun was shining, everyone wore a vast, passionate smile with wonderful sights & sounds filling the air. We were joined by The Dusty Rhino & Painkiller, along with most of Distrikt. It was the perfect morning.
At the end, six intensely wonderful hours later, I dissolved into tears, not for the first time this week & the dancefloor submerged me.
I hope it takes you there. x
The Boat Party I host each year on the Thames in London has become something of an institution. Sold Out in each of it's four years and now held on the Dutch Master, I'm so proud to bring together such an amazing group of happy, smiley people.
In 2013 my guests were Featurecast who set the stage perfectly, and then I played to a close in conditions that can only be described as SCORCHING. Seriously, it was the hottest day we'd had in London for around 7 years and the entire boat was dripping with sweat & water from the giant water pistols we'd brought on board.
I hope you enjoy this archive of the set. There is a fade in at the beginning as the power got knocked out midway through my opening track, and the boat company pulled the plug right at the end (GOD I HATE IT WHEN THEY DO THAT!) so I fade down at the end. Other than that, it's raw and bags of fun!

This is a partial recording of an amazing morning I had in Vegas this summer at my good friend Andrea's birthday bash. A whole bunch of reprobates from legendary West Coast crews (Space Cowboys, Distrikt, The Nutz) took over the Artisan hotel for two full days and nights. Reprehensible behaviour clearly followed with Andrea taking the lead on her newly 'acquired' mobility scooter.
I took to the decks around 4am, 'fresh' from having played at DefCon, a giant hacker's convention in one of the big casino hotels. I was playing off a (borrowed) USB stick for the first time, and amongst the shenanigans unfolding was me loading up a few more tracks off my laptop whenever we ran out and hot-swapping the decks as we rolled into the next day.
It's unclear how long I played for, as this is just an excerpt of the set which randomly dropped in my mailbox several months later, but I figured it'd be nice to have for posterity for those who were there ... and for the mildly curious, of course.

My closing set from DISTRIKT at 2012's Burning Man was such a spectacular 2+hours.

In what was a unique experiment in combining climbing and dancing like lunatics, some good friends of mine who own The Climbing Hangar in Liverpool ( http://www.theclimbinghangar.com/ ) decided to throw a party.
And some party it was!
A Funktion One big enough to fell small children (and medium-sized adults) was installed, a pirate ship was video-mapped by the excellent Meat Cassette video crew from Manchester, a bunch of fit & fly reprobates turned up and I played for 4 1/2 hours or more ...
Here's the Tracklist : http://serato.com/playlists/eliteforce/live-at-the-climbing-hangar-liverpool-23
The sunrise sets at the Nutz camp have become something of an institution during my annual pilgrimages to Burning Man.
As per usual they come after a number of days burnt out in the desert on sleepless nights, untold stimulants and with a mind blown from excess stimulation and inspired by being surrounded by hundreds of beautiful, passionate people.
This year's set followed on from a fire & brimstone throwdown at Opulent Temple and I loved every single minute of it, especially when the 40ft UFO-platform appeared to 'shade' the dancefloor from the heat of the morning, and when during my fifth Bloody Mary of the morning, the BBQ arrived to ply us all with a seemingly endless supply of breakfast goodies.
Look out for more sets similar to this over the coming year as I launch my 'One' series of parties across the globe. Meanwhile your digital hugz are always welcome at http://www.facebook.com/djeliteforce

It's 8am. Black Rock Desert. The previous evening had been electric. It began with a demented set of pure excess on the aptly named Purgatory Cruiser with it's Exocet flame guns and rocket-powered propane ... and then moved onto an epic, spiritual sunrise set on the Robot Heart ... [In fact, I've blogged about it here > http://www.uaarecs.com/blog/?p=213 ] ... and it ended up at the fabulous Nutz camp, surrounded by gorgeous Playa-friends, getting lowdown & dirty until around 11.30am. By the time I'd finished, I'd clocked up over 8-hours of DJaying that evening / morning and could have happily played for another 8 (I was due on again at 6pm, but that's another story!). So this is my set live, direct and raw, as it happened. Not my typical fayre perhaps, but none of my Burning Man sets are ever 'typical', and this perhaps gives you a different angle on my musical tastes. Anyway, hope you enjoy it, and if you do please click LIKE on the Facebook page, and SHARE the set far & wide. http://www.facebook.com/djeliteforce Big Love s (and a BIG thank you to Zach for the recording ....)
