In what is sort of a return to normalcy we have started to see the first coaching changes of the season. Sitting idle during week 14 due to increased positive COVID cases, the Northwestern wildcats have clinched a spot in the 2020 BIG championship which appears to be a rematch of 2018 against the Ohio State Buckeyes, assuming The Game remains on schedule this week. In MACtion, Eastern Michigan upends an undefeated season for rival Western, while conference favorite, Buffalo also sat idle due to COVID, but did join the party of top 25 ranked teams in the AP Poll for the first time in school history. Ladies and gentlemen! Join Evan and Matt one last time in the 2019 season as the brothers recap LSU's legendary win over Clemson in the college football national championship. A dominant offensive performance, supported by a stout defense led the tigers to the third national title in program history. Credit to LSU, Coach Orgeron, and Joe Burrow for defeating the most dominant team in the college football over the last two seasons. Trevor Lawrence and the Clemson Tigers put up a valiant effort in this heavy weight fight but in the end the tigers from Baton Rouge proved to be too much. Evan and Matt share their final thoughts on the championship game and the still rolling coaching carousel. Enjoy the off season college football fans. For the first time this year, the BIG 10 is also in action, Michigan State and Wake Forest will play football in a baseball stadium because, well, the Yankees suck. Two ranked teams will face each other for the first time this season in the Holiday and Cotton Bowls. #22 USC and #16 Iowa will compete for a Holiday Bowl title and #17 Memphis meets up with #10 Penn State in Jerry's World for the Cotton Bowl. Lastly, Cal and Illinois, YES, Illinois is playing for a possible bowl victory in the Redbox Bowl in Santa Clara, California. The MAC is on deck over the next week featuring three bowl games, The Ray Com Media Camellia Bowl, The Cheribundi Boca Raton Bowl, and the Frisco Bowl. All three games feature pretty stout defenses from our MAC contributors. Eastern Michigan is headed to it's fourth bowl game in program history and second in row. The Eagles can really build some momentum for this program with a vitory in the Camellia Bowl. The 2018 MAC Champions, Northern Illinois Huskies, looks to cap off another strong season with a bowl victory in the Boca Raton bowl against UAB. NCAA #1 and #3 defenses in total sacks this season will face off in this one. Lastly, the Ohio Bobcats are on a 5-1 run to close the season, a run in which they have put up 49 points in each of their victories. Vegas questionably favors Ohio by just 3 points in this one.
