Culver Church
We are a friendly church welcoming to everyone. Together, we study God's Word from the Bible to learn how we can better serve and worship our Lord Jesus Christ. As you will notice from our Church Diary each month we have Communion, Sunday Worship, Guest Speakers, Meals & Prayer Breakfast.
With the Lord's guidance and prayer the leadership & church members are working together to generate a revised Church Vision & Mission for us to grow.

Cornelius was a God fearing man who did good. An Angel of Lord appeared to him and told him to fetch Peter from Joppa. Peter has a vision before the two men came from Cornelius’s house. Peter went with them preached the gospel to a house full of Gentiles. All those gathered gave their lives to Jesus and were both baptised with the Holy Spirit and with water. The first mission was complete. Are we ready for our mission?
Saul has plans to do harm but God stopped in his tracks. Jesus spoke to Saul and instructed him to go to Damascus. Blind for 3 days until Ananias laid hands on Saul and God heals the blind eyes. Saul is healed, filled with Holy Spirit and he is baptised. Saul is a friend of God not an enemy.

This Psalm tells of His greatness , His majesty , His grace , His compassion , and His love. The dictionary definition of the word “ watch “ is to observe/note / mark / guard . The Lord “ watches “ in a paternal. Fatherly , caring way over all His children and will ensure they all reach HEAVEN , their eternal home. The cross is the crowning glory of Jesus' work on earth and it will shine right through eternity .
Today Michael Wajdner spoke to us live on Zoom about the work that goes on at SASRA and how SASRA has been coping with the new lockdown regulations.

Glyn Harman concentrated on Psalms 42 and 43 asking the question What do you miss most in life? He suggested that the worst thing to lose is HOPE. So what do we miss most and what is our hope in lockdown? These Psalms suggest the writers main problems are separation from Gods presence, place and people. Do we feel forgotten? Do we feel far from church? Do we feel surrounded b people who dont love and believe in God like we do? The writer feels crushed but he remembers his strong faith and that God is with him, is able to hold him and alwas available. If our faith and trust is in the Lord Jesus Christ nothing can separate us from Him. Let our faith talk to our feelings to bring our hope.

Shane Goodear from London Cit Mission spoke on Psalm 103 listing all the benefits that God has given to us that we should not forget. He forgives, heals, redeems, crowns us with love and compassion, satisfies, loves, is kind, and does not treat us as we deserve. Read the Psalm for ourself. Shame also talked about his work in Vauhall and that London Cit Mission are celebrating their 185th anniversary.

We have been doing 60 Second Sermons for quite some time now and it's a great way to share your message and your interpretation of the Bible and what you think God is trying to tell us. God has a plan for each and every one of us and we will get through this together.
Culver Church and the wider community have been collaborating & sharing to support the NHS, keyworkers and one another during this pandemic this Easter.

Neil is the National Director of British Youth for Christ, he came to speak to us about the work that goes on at YFC around the country. YFC are encouraging young people across the world to welcome Jesus into their lives. They 'believe that the Gospel changes lives'. Neil gave a scenario of a man named Mick who was in prison and he went round to all the other inmates preaching about. The other inmates renamed him from 'Mick' to 'Jesus' and that was what he was known as throughout the prison. We need to keep encouraging more young people to come and 'live within us' and to bring more people closer to Christ.

Culver Coffee are also hoping to help support a young girl. Flo emphasised that Compassion tries to be Christ centred, Christ focused and church based. The Bible instructs us to care for those in need (James chp 1 v 27).

Julian came to speak to us about the work that goes on at Firm Foundation. Firm Foundation is a homeless shelter who helps people who really need it.
