In this segment I want to talk about long term goals. They are essential for growth. You have to find something that is going to take years to achieve because when you finally accomplish it you will be proud of yourself. It will force into becoming better. So, I encourage you to seek out something that you've always wanted and make steady progress everyday towards achieving it.
In this segment I would like to reflect on an experience where negotiation really paid off. If you're a good negotiator just start asking questions. It's a really good place to start. Try to find a solution that is mutually beneficial for everyone involved.
Maybe you're running up a hill? Are you looking for a shortcut? Rather than wasting time looking for shortcuts just run the hill. Trust me it will make the rest of the trip much easier. Once you get over the biggest hill then all of the others seem small by comparison.
It's so easy to get wrapped up in arguing with people. We often feel like someone owes us something, but really we all have done something wrong. The best path is just to avoid treating people poorly. If you want to be treated fairly then it is crucial to focus on building character that is based on treating others fairly. You don't need to hold the door open for everyone, but maybe you can forgive some people who have wronged you in the past. It's not a burden that you should carry. Just rise up and be better than them.
In this segment I want to talk about documentation. I recently started investing lots of time and energy in documenting my life because I enjoy watching myself grow. In fact it's become contagious for me. I now naturally gravitate towards people who in the process of transforming themselves. I think it's quite a fascinating process. One day to the next we all go through changes, but how do you what you're changing into unless you see it for yourself?
