On this episode we are discussing some of our favorite things that happened in 2021, our highlight reel if you will. We are sharing some of our favorite "big" things that happened in 2021 and some of our "little" things like an inside joke with a friend. But as we all know social media is everyones highlight reels so we thought it would be important to discuss some of the things you may not have seen on our highlight reels, they maybe less than ideal moments. For example, we might tell you that although a certain trip we went on was wonderful and so much fun, the week before we might have been feeling really stressed about work or wedding planning. Not every part of peoples lives are highlights and it's important to remind people of that without taking away from the good stuff and on this episode we do just that.

The older we get the more confidence we are suppose to have, right? Well, kind of. Liz and Ashley discuss what their confidence looks like today and what it looked like in the past.

The girls discuss how although they have become more confident collectively the older they get, it has also become more complex. When we were younger we had to worry about confidence in how we looked, if our crush liked us, and if we were making JV or Varsity. Today, nearly a decade later, we feel much more confident and we don't really care if Josh from math class likes us back or if our outfit is cool or not. However, what we are self-conscious off can be a little more intense.

As an adult you may be self-conscious at where you are in life compared to your peers, how much money you make, if you are performing well at work, if you are not working at all, if you are in a relationship, if you are a good parent, etc. There are more opportunities to be self-conscious as an adult.

Liz and Ashley discuss what they do to become confident and how they have overcome some of the parts of life they used to really struggle with.

In addition to raising her children, her family decided to try and live more sustainably by creating a homestead. Today, the Eaton's raise goats, chickens and grow several vegetables. This way of living is something Danielle and her family have become extremely passionate about!

Finally, if that wasn't enough Danielle and her husband, Nate began to get involved in real estate investments. The couple works to flip homes and invest in different properties. Danielle shares what it is like to work with your significant other and separate home life and work life.

Ouch... 90's kids are now old and uncool?! Yup, we have been replaced. Have you heard the latest word, "cheugy" well, for anyone over the age of 22 it's not your friend. Cheugy essentially means outdated and uncool. It happens fast and it takes no prisoners. One day you're in the next you're out!

We all spend a lot of time focusing on self-help content. We often listen to podcast to help us find our dream jobs, go to the gym to work on our bikini bodies, or shopping to find the perfect outfit. These are all amazing things and something we all do and should continue to do!The point of this episode is not to discourage you to not take care of yourself, we all know you can't give from an empty cup.

On this episode we want to remind you all to take a minute and instead of focusing on "self-help" content consider focusing on content to help you be a better friend, daughter/son, girlfriend/boyfriend, neighbor, etc. We spend a lot of time focusing on how to be better individuals we forget to be better partners. We talk about ways you can work to give, serve, and support others and ways you can continue to work on these areas of your life.

We like to think college is the pre-game for life. The girls of The Pregame Games really get that. The girls spent the Summer in a beach town with friends and were sick of the usual drinking games, I mean really how many times can someone play King's Cup?!  So, in true post-grad fashion, they chased an idea to create their own.

The Pregame Games is a fun, unique, and entertaining series of pregame cards that help you break the ice with friends, laugh, and make memories! On this episode the girls share their story on how they created the game, what they have learned, and where they are now.

Do you need to take a stance on if pineapple belongs on pizza? or can you sit that one out?

This weeks episode is kicking off our new "How-To Adult" series!! To kick it off we are talking all about opinions and how to express them! Today the World can be pretty polarizing and opinionated so we are sharing how to handle not only the big ones, but also the little opinions.

When we say we did a deep dive into this topic we mean a DEEP dive with steps to help you navigate the subject.

Step 1: Having an Opinion: We started the episode with, why you should have an opinion, when to have one and how to form one. Whether you are an opinionated person like Ashley or maybe a little more go with the flow like Liz we share tangible takeaways for you.

Step 2: How to Express Your Opinion: We chat about arguing styles and how to navigate a disagreement depending on the person. How to disagree with your significant other, friends, family, and professionally. We also discuss arguing styles and how to make your opinion truly heard in a respectful way.

Step 3: Changing Opinions: Sometimes we can be so "sure" of our own thoughts we forget to listen to others. It is important to listen to others and admit when you may be wrong. On the other hand it is also important to learn to walk away when someone won't let go, you can't win them all.

This has been one of our favorite podcast topics and we cannot wait for you all to hear the rest of the series!

Another solo episode with Liz and Ashley this week! After a suggestion from a listener and some inspiration from the Tik Tok trend regarding "romanticizing your life" this episode is focused on how you can choose to be happy today and steps you can take everyday to do that.
A lot of us are not living these glamorous lives or jobs like some of the people you follow on the internet and it can be hard to try and live in the now and not envying others. Or maybe you think you'll be happier once that next thing happens, I'll be happier when I make more money, move houses, get married etc. the truth is, you need to learn how to be happy now!

Ashley and Liz share the truth about what their lives are like and how they aren't living the influencer dream life either, but they share steps that they do everyday in order to make it feel like they are living their dream life. The girls share step by step of what their daily routine looks like and the small things they incorporate that have made a big difference.

Sam Gwazdauskas is a virtual lifestyle coach with a Bachelor's of Science in Nutrition & Dietetics and a Master's of Science in Kinesiology & Sport Nutrition followed by a few different certifications. The reason for sharing all of Sam's credentials is relevant to this weeks episode, regarding health trends. The diet and health industry is very saturated and health and food trends seem to be lurking at every corner.

This weeks episode Ashley and Liz host Sam on Party's Over Podcast to chat about health trends, how to sort through who you should be listening to, and how to live a balanced healthy lifestyle. Sorting through health trends can be overwhelming, but Sam shares with us how she uses a mixture of science, experimenting with herself, and balancing with her personal life to determine how she eats.

Sam doesn't believe in blindly following any one diet, she believes in using a combination of different methods to determine what makes your body perform at its best. Diets such as keto may not be for everyone, but in the right instances they can be what someones bodys needs. This is a great example of why health is all relative and something each individual needs to determine for themselves.

On this episode we also hear how Sam believes in the importance of not obsessing over the scale, the gym, or your diet and how life is meant to be lived. We loved having Sam on because she has experienced everything for herself and can speak from those experience.

During her time at the University of Southern Maine, Meghan was looking for her community. This is where Reve came into the picture. When Meghan began riding at Reve she began to find that sense of belonging that she had been missing. She quickly did what she needed to become an instructor and began teaching at Reve!

From this point on Meghan’s dreams began to grow as post do, post-grad. She dreamed of being a cycling instructor for Soul Cycle (the King of all Cycling studios).

On this episode, Meghan shares with us what it was like to chase her dream and be brave and then what it is like to realize you are happier at home. We loved hearing this perspective because we know there are so many men and women that experience this, but never share what it is like. Meghan talks about how it is okay to do the thing you are scared of that makes you reach for your dreams and encourages you to try it for yourself, but once you have done it, it doesn’t necessarily mean you have to KEEP doing it. If your heart is pulling you somewhere else it is okay to go.
