WHAT IS HOPE VS CHRISTIAN HOPE - Most people understand hope as wishful thinking, as in "I hope something will happen." This is not what the Bible means by hope. The biblical definition of hope is "confident expectation.

We are are carrying too much on ourselves. The heavy boxes that was wearing me out are the burdens of life. They represent the fears of life. They represent the anxieties of life which we are carrying on ourselves and is weighing us down. Even though the trolley was there I didnât know the use of it.

This morning I donât know the conclusions you have made in your life. I donât know what you have given up on. I donât know what you have said or the devil is saying this is an END. Â Â I have good news for you it is just a BEND not an END. It doesnât matter what you are going through I came to tell you âIT IS JUST A BEND NOT AN ENDâ.
We all in one way or the other need some help and I pray by the end of this message you will receive that help from Jesus.
Even though we have all gathered in the same place but we are dealing with our different conditions.
This morning I strongly believe we have come to a season where so many sense the urge and the need to step out do something for Jesus. To step and fulfil destiny. To step out and fulfil purpose. To step out and start a business, to step out and answer to the call of Jesus. This is because God is calling us out upon the waters to step out of our comfort zone. To step out of our fears and step out in faith.
The heart this message is encourage you this morning that no matter the circumstances we face God is working it our for us and according to His purpose for our life. As Christians we go through problems like everyone else. We face circumstances like everyone else but however OUR RESPONSE to problems, challenges, difficult circumstance is what makes us different.
This week I was talking to a work colleague and I invited her to church and she said she didnât feel comfortable because church people are not genuine and besides Her dad took them to church but he was not genuine and whilst they were in church, their dad murdered their mum at home.
I had a text message from a friend of mine in Ghana and she said she found out about her husband having a baby by another woman. She said all men are the same. No man is genuine. Her husband goes to church all the time.
We know that fear is not part of the culture of the Kingdom, all human beings have fears, it is part of our nature, but the problem is not to be afraid, the problem is to live with that fear, fear does not allow us to move forward.
Remember like we have already established, culture is a lifestyle. Is a way a group of people do things.
We can have good thoughts and also bad thoughts.
The Bible shows us that good thoughts led David to write psalms and act wisely in many situations but also at some point he had bad thoughts that led him to sin against God and there were sad consequences from it.
"What is Pentecost Sunday?"Â Â
Pentecost Sunday is a commemoration and celebration of the receiving of the Holy Spirit by the early church. John the Baptist prophesied of the first Pentecost when Jesus would baptize with the Holy Spirit and with fire (Matthew 3:11).
In the next couple of weeks we are going to learn about a very important aspect of Kingdom culture and that is a culture of FAITH.
Remember like we have already established, culture is a lifestyle. Is a way a group of people do things.

This morning the heart of this message is to let you know that your entire existence depends wholly on God. In other words In Him we live and move and have our being.
Now take note of the three words LIVE, MOVE AND BEING. I know we are living in a very challenging times and stressful times especially with the pandemic. A lot of people are tired of what is happening in our world today. As a child of God I want you to know that Jesus is your address and location is in Jesus.
OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH
At Church Of Living Water â We:
BELIEVE â Believe in the believable God
DEPEND â Depend on the dependable God
RELY â Rely on the reliable God
TRUST â Trust in the trustworthy God
Now let me break it down:
- IN HIM WE LIVE
it doesnât matter what is having right now in our world, I want you to know that In Jesus we live. What does that mean?:
- He is the original fountain of life - This a perfect way to express our dependence on God.
Psalm 36:9 (NIV)
9 For with you is the fountain of life;
in your light we see light.
- He is also our source of life as scripture tells us that God is the giver of life and breath Humanity owes all the qualities and capacities of life to God.
Genesis 2:7 (NIV)
7 Then the Lord God formed a man[a] from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.
Acts 17:25 (NIV)
25 And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else.

33 For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.â

The Word Became Flesh
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome[a] it.
When a person believes in Christ, the Holy Spirit immediately becomes a permanent part of his or her life. Romans 8:14 (NIV) 14 For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. 1 Corinthians 12:13 (NIV) 13 For we were all baptized by[a] one Spirit so as to form one bodyâwhether Jews or Gentiles, slave or freeâand we were all given the one Spirit to drink. The Holy Spirit also takes on the role of Guide and Counselor, leading us in the way we should go and revealing Godâs truth Luke 12:12 (NIV) for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say.â 1 Corinthians 2:6-10 (NIV) Godâs Wisdom Revealed by the Spirit 6 We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. 7 No, we declare Godâs wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. 8 None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9 However, as it is written: âWhat no eye has seen, what no ear has heard,and what no human mind has conceivedâ[a]â the things God has prepared for those who love himâ 10 these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. QUESTION?But how do we recognize the Spiritâs guidance? How do we discern between our own thoughts and His leading? After all, the Holy Spirit does not speak with audible words. Rather, He guides us through our own consciences and other quiet, subtle ways.

Â Now the disciples approach Him to teach them how to pray from what we have just read and then as part of that prayer He says LET THY KIGDOM COME! Â SO WHAT IS THE KINGDOM THEN? Â It comes from two words: KING and DOMAIN so a kingdom is a domain ruled by a king. Therefore the kingdom of God is a domain ruled by God. Â IN THE BEGINNING: Â In the beginning God gave the rulership of this world to man according to Genesis. Â Genesis 1:28 New International Version (NIV) 28 God blessed them and said to them, âBe fruitful and increase in number; fill the earthand subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.â Â However through SIN, man fell and Satan is became in charge of this age and the king of the dome called earth. Now as a result the earth as it is now is not what God intended. Â We were meant to rule over the earth but now it seems like the earth is ruling over us. Â GODâS SOLUTION! Â However God had a solution. Jesus came to die to set all human beings free. Godâs solution is to establish a domain in which He is king against Satanâs kingdom.

This morning Iâm sure most of us know the story of Job already but just a quick summary. The bible says Job was a wealthy man living in a land called Uz with his large family and extensive flocks. According to chapter one verse one of Job, he is referred to as âblamelessâ and âupright,â always careful to avoid doing evil (1:1). One day, Satan (âthe Adversaryâ) appears before God in heaven. God boasts to Satan about Jobâs goodness, but Satan argues that Job is only good because God has blessed him abundantly. Satan challenges God that, if given permission to punish the man, Job will turn and curse God. God allows Satan to torment Job to test this bold claim, but he forbids Satan to take Jobâs life in the process. In the course of one day, Job receives four messages, each bearing separate news that his livestock, servants, and ten children have all died due to marauding invaders or natural catastrophes. Job tears his clothes and shaves his head in mourning, but he still blesses God in his prayers. Satan appears in heaven again, and God grants him another chance to test Job. This time, Job is afflicted with horrible skin sores. His wife encourages him to curse God and to give up and die, but Job refuses, struggling to accept his circumstances. Now the bible says Jacob had three close friends called Eliphaz, Bildad, and Zophar. At this juncture in the book of Job we have read, Jobâs friends have been accusing him of some great sin that has caused God to turn against him. However, inspite of all the troubles and the accusation he was facing from his friends, Job was able to say with authority I know in Whom I have believed â I KNOW that my redeemer lives â I know that all the plans and promises of God will one day be fully realized - Job KNEW. Job had an assurance that what God had said, God would perform. The heart of this message is to encourage you to know that YOUR REDEEMER LIVES!. Yes thinhs havnet been the best may be because of the pandemic but irrespective of the difficulties and the challenges our world is facing today, know that your redeemer lives. Now the word "redemption" throughout the Old Testament is used in the general sense of deliverance. Job had no understanding of why his life was falling apart. And sometimes we may feel like our world is falling apart and we donât know why. We all ask why this and why that. Job had no knowledge of the angelic conflict that was raging in the heavenlies. He was unaware that that what he went through; the actions he took; the decision he made in relationship to His trust in God, would be used to encourage countless saints that were to come after him including today. Nor did Job understand that remaining firm in his unwavering trust in God would be to the praise and honour of His Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
IN TIMES OF NEED:
KNOW
- YOU HAVE A HIGH PRIEST WHO IS GREAT
âHaving then a great high priest, who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of Godâ (v. 14a). In Israel, the high priest was responsible for administering the sacrificial system that God had established for various purposes, atonement for sins being the most important. Only the high priest was allowed into the Holy of Holiesââthe dwelling place of Godââand then only on the Day of Atonement. He presided over the Sanhedrin, the highest authority over all matters in Israel, both religious and civil.
Jesus assumed the role of high priestââour intermediary with God and the ultimate arbiter of salvation.
The author notes that Jesus is a great high priestââone âwho has passed through the heavens.â He is thus superior to earthly high priests, whose access to Godâs presence was limited to one day a year in the Holy of Holies.
We have a Great High Priest (Heb. 4:14)
The emphasis in Hebrews 4:14 is on the word "great." In the person of Jesus Christ we have a "great High Priest." He is the greatest of all priests, no one can be to his greatness.
What makes Him so great is that He is the Son of God, appointed to be the High Priest, who has paid for our sins and passed through the heavens and is interceding on our behalf at the throne of God. As our Great High Priest nothing can hinder Him in accomplishing His eternal purpose on our behalf. What a great God and Savior! Our great High Priest Jesus is the Son of God.
Our High Priest is infinitely great in His person and office. He has dignity and glory because He is the Son of God. We can now come boldly before His throne of grace anytime, anywhere, and in any situation.
CONDITION OF THE PEOPLE LIKE TODAY i. The bad state of the people and the bad state of the city walls were intimately connected. In the ancient world, a city without walls was a city completely open and vulnerable to its enemies. They had no defense, no protection at all. ii. An unwalled city was always a backwater town, with nothing valuable in it. If there were anything of value in an unwalled city, it could be stolen away easily because there was no defense to stop it. iii. Those living in an unwalled city lived in constant stress and tension; they never knew when they might be attacked and brutalized. Every man lived in constant fear for his wife and children. The temple could be rebuilt, but never made beautiful, because anything valuable would be taken easily. iv. No wonder the people lived in constant distress, in constant disgrace (reproach), living only as survivors. God has more for us than to be mere survivors. God not only wants us to be conquerors, but more than conquerors through Him who loved us (Romans 8:37).
Genesis 3:10-12 (NIV) 10 He answered, âI heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.â 11 And he said, âWho told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?â 12 The man said, âThe woman you put here with meâshe gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it.â Genesis chapter 2 tells the story of the perfect place. We know this place as the Garden of Eden. It was a place of contentment and joy. Mankind was created to care for and enjoy this place. When God created man we are told in Genesis 2:25âNow the man and his wife were both naked, but they felt no shame.â The word for ânakedâ was an adjective. It meant stripped of clothing. It described the condition in which God had made them. Then the serpent came into the picture and tempted them to sin against God. He enticed them to doubt Godâs word. He convinced them that Godâs word did not apply to them. So they sinned. Then things changed. They felt shame for their nakedness and hid from God. When God sought them Adam confessed to his nakedness. God replied in Genesis 3:11 âWho told you that you were naked?â the Lord God asked. âHave you eaten from the tree whose fruit I commanded you not to eat?â Who are you listening to? This morning, I want you to know that there are three kinds of voices in this world: âą Godâs voice âą The devilâs voice âą The voice of people When God speaks every other voice becomes a noise What lies are you listening to from the devil. Who told you that you sick? God says by His stripes you are healed Who tod you that you cannot make it â You can do all things through Christ Who told you that you are sad â The joy of the Lord is my strength Who told you that your fall means the end â My enemy do not gloat over me for when I fall⊠Who told you it is too late â he makes all things beautiful in His own time Who told you the situation is impossible - with God all things are possible Who told you that life is difficult â is anything too hard for the Lord? Who told you your life is full of darkness â The Lord is the light and my salvation .. Who told you that you are not loved â what shall separate me from the love of God Who told you that you cry forever â weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning Who told you are that you are cursed â Whom God has blessed no man can curse Who told you that you are in lack â your God will supply all your needs according to His glorious riches Who told you that your life is worth nothing? Who told you are a failure Who told you
Luke 15:8 KJV [8] Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it ?   Women donât forget so why a women losing something   Isaiah 49:15 KJV [15] Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.     John 20:15 KJV [15] Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.   Jesus said why weep and why seek  â a women is a weeper and a seeker,    The bible say she had 10 coins  Is the symbol of kingdom power and prosperity   10 talks about the kingdom   Revelation 17:16 KJV [16] And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.  So the number 10 is the power of the kingdom   â most times when the bible want to show us power it sometimes uses the number 10   So if the 10 make it complete to have power , prosperity then she lost power and  prosperity   Who has stolen it then or who is the thief
We live in a world where promises are broken every single day. Your boss breaks his promise to promote you. A person breaks the promise to pay you the loaned money. Your tenant breaks contract. Your friend changes plans last minute. Your parent fails to show up on your important event. Your colleague misses a deadline. Your partner who promised to always love you just ran off into the arms of another. Many of us are victims of broken promises which caused disappointments in our lives. Broken promises hurt. They have the potential to severe relationships, bring heartache and wound deeply. My question today is, do we stand by our promises or are they sometimes half-hearted commitments, casually made and hence easily broken? When we say to someone, âI will pray for you,â do we? When we commit, âI will be there to help,â will we? When we obligate ourselves to pay a debt, do we? When we raise our hands to sustain a fellow member in a new calling, which means to give support, do we? In a world that allows for broken promises, how can we trust that the people around us are going to be committed to their word? The world we live in is tough especially during this pandemic where struggles and heartache are inevitable, and they may leave us wondering. ⊠whom can we trust? Is there anyone out there who actually keeps every promise? Change is a constant of lifeâŠbut let me tell this morningâŠ.God is a rock of stability. No matter what happens in life, we can hold on to this profound truth that God will never break His promises. NEVER. You know why? Because He is trustworthy and faithful (2 Timothy 2:13). We can rely on Him to do as He has said. It is His nature to be faithful. âGod said it, I believe it, that settles it.â He will never let us down. We canât say that about people. In Malachi 3:6 God says clearly: âI the Lord do not change.â You see, a promise only has real value if it holds hands with commitment, faithfulness and perseverance.

God promised Abraham that he was going to be a father of many nations yet there was no child because his wife Sarah was barren. Abraham in the course of time whilst waiting ended up having a child by his slave maid Hagar and the childâs name was Ismael yet God said the promised child was going to come through Sarah but for thirteen years there was silence. No sign of pregnancy. This morning I want you to know that with God there is nothing too late. Â With God there are no dead ends, only training grounds. Godâs delay is not denial. Â The most important thing about our faith is not where we are going but rather what we are becoming. How God forms our character to become more like Jesus in times adversity. In life we face may many obstacles but God is able to remove obstacles. Â No obstacles however big can thwart the purposes of God:

Sometimes in our lives we all one way or the other face certain issues of life (financial-economy crunch, bareness, diseases etc) that we expect people to understand but no one seems to understands or able to help. As a result we tend to feel disappointed and behave as if all hope is gone because people have failed to provide answers to our various life issues we face. We therefore allow the issues to define and take control of us until they gradually take deeper roots in us where we start to blame people for our failures. Many people get distracted and lose concentration of who God is what his promises are for his children and by so doing we tend to lose our divine identity in the midst of these issues of life. Â Issues and challenges are part of our daily lives. However in Christ we live, move and we have our being and therefore we are assured that no matter the issue or the challenge it can be dealt with through Christ who strengthens us.
This morning, I will like to take this opportunity to wish all fathers a happy fatherâs day. I say may the good Lord bless you all amazing fathers today. You are doing a great job and I salute all of you. Since it is fathers day today, my message will mainly focus on the fathers but I also pray it will also be a blessing to the women as well. The title for the message this morning is âAS FOR MEâ. Lets read: Joshua 24 New International Version The Covenant Renewed at Shechem 14 âNow fear the Lord and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your ancestors worshiped beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord. 15 But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.â 16 Then the people answered, âFar be it from us to forsake the Lord to serve other gods! The scriptural verse "as for me and my house" is very popular and it is typically seen at peopleâs doorway at their home. It can be seen as a plaque people keep in the kitchen or on their mantle in the living room. Itâs a recognized verse of the Bible that many attribute to their belief in how they should live individually and as a family. Now the question is how did â"as for me and my house" come about and who said it? Now Joshua 24 is long passage but for the sake of time I only read verses 14-16 where the focus of the message is. So just to give you some context from the passage, Joshua led the children of Israel across the Jordan and into the promised land to take up their promised inheritance.. And as his death drew ever closer he gave a farewell speech to the nation, which had been chosen by God to be a holy nation unto the Lord and a peculiar people unto Himself. Joshua rehearsed his final instructions in the ears of a nation.. that was to frequently and repeatedly do evil in the eyes of the Lord.

This morning I am going to break the Chapter Contents into two. Firstly Verses 1 to 4 deals with âWhy we should not trust in menâ and secondly verses 5 to 10 deals with âWhy we should trust in God While I live I will praise the LORD;I will sing praises to my God while I have my being. WHY? Lets look at the following verses: Isaiah 38:18-19 New International Version 18 For the grave cannot praise you, death cannot sing your praise;those who go down to the pit cannot hope for your faithfulness.19 The living, the livingâthey praise you, as I am doing today;parents tell their children about your faithfulness. Psalm 115:17 New King James Version 17 The dead do not praise the LORD,Nor any who go down into silence. This emphasises what whilst the Psalmist say whilst I live because the dead cannot praise God. Psalm 104:33 King James Version 33 I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. We can only praise God whilst we live. We have to understand that we will not live on this earth forever. Thatâ why the Psalmist says While I live will I praise the LORD We are here today and tomorrow we are gone. Nobody can tell how long the y will live on this earth. In Psalm 150:6 6 Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. As long we have breath we must praise the Lord. We are alive because of God's mercy. Lets sing unto our God our creator while we have our being. Breathing is a reminder of PRAISE. Say to yourself "while I have my being" I will give God the adoration and lift up His name in praise. Now after the Psalmist encourages us to PRAISE God, he then begins to talk about two contrasting things. But first lets look at the first one which is do put your trust in man and then he explains why. He says do not put your trust in princes. Why? Because even the highest among men â princes â are not worthy of our confidence. We are sure to be disappointed when we put our trust in whom there is no help. Note the phrase âwhom there is no helpâ. The bible says in Jeremiah 17:5

efore I get into the message I will like to tell you a message. One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; one belonging to him and the other to the LORD.When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it. "LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me."The LORD replied, "My precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you." Â Now from the passage, we just read, this is the state where two weary travelers were at as they walked the seven miles from Jerusalem to Emmaus. They felt alone, They were confused, disappointed, and fear-filled. They had lost their hopes and expectations after the death of their Master, Jesus Christ. On their journey, they were arguing and debating with each other.
Philippians 2:5-11 (NIV) 5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in very nature[a] God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;7 rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature[b] of a servant, being made in human likeness.8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to deathâ even death on a cross! 9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name,10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. In this passage, the apostle appeals to believers to cultivate an attitude of humility. He gives them an example to emulate, namely, Jesus Christ, who is the ultimate model of humility. He says in verses 6â9 that Jesus, who is God and who has always been God, did not hold tightly to His position of equality with God. Instead, Jesus emptied Himself or made Himself nothing. He left His high rank in heaven to become a humble, human servant. He set aside His rights and privileges as God to live a life of humble service and obedience, even to the point of dying a horrible death on the cross for sinners.As a result of Jesus Christâs self-emptying and self-humiliation, God exalted Him to the highest place of honor. Jesus, who stooped down low, was raised by the Father to His glorious position in heaven. The name that is above all names is the supreme nameâthe divine name Lord. This name acknowledges Jesus Christâs absolute lordship as divine King of the universe, and it brings with it the right to be worshiped.
Jesus Heals a Man With Leprosy 12 While Jesus was in one of the towns, a man came along who was covered with leprosy.[a] When he saw Jesus, he fell with his face to the ground and begged him, âLord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.â 13 Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. âI am willing,â he said. âBe clean!â And immediately the leprosy left him. 14 Then Jesus ordered him, âDonât tell anyone, but go, show yourself to the priest and offer the sacrifices that Moses commanded for your cleansing, as a testimony to them.â From the scripture we just read, Jesus had come down from the mountain after he had finished preaching his famous sermon that is known as the âSermon on the mountâ. As Jesus was coming down from the mountain and as the multitudes were following him down the mountain, the scriptures say, there came a leper, a man who was sick with a deadly skin disease, a man who had been separated from his family and from society because of this contagious skin disease, a man, who wasnât really supposed to be seen in public because the law of Moses stated that those who had leprosy was supposed to stay in a leper camp until the leprosy goes disappeared from their bodies, a man who was in a desperate situation, a man who seems to be in a helpless condition
Every opportunity in life comes with OBSTACLES. Zacchaeus faces two obstacles or circumsatnces. The first one is internal and the second one is external circumstances. Internal circumstances were his own height and his profession (tax collector) and external circumstances with the crowd. This is a place majority of people come to and give up on their goal, aim, and visions of seeing JESUS. This is a place where people give all kinds of excuses and get involved in the blame game-blaming their failure on the circumstances. This is the place people see no way out. People begin to lose hope and then begin to complain. No focus and no determination to accomplish their goal. They donât see that is not about the circumstances but is about the attitude. Wishful thinking begins; I wish I were a little more taller, stronger, richer, smarter, handsome etc. The whole focus and energy is directed to the problem instead of the solution. People begin to focus on what they cannot change (CIRCUMSATNCES) instead of what can be changed (ATTITUDE). If you can change your attitude you can change any circumstances. I believe rather this should be a place of reflection. A reflection of solution in the midst of the challenges and the obstacles. This is the place you ask WHAT, WHERE, WHEN, HOW. What- I Want to see Jesus. Where- passing through Jericho. When- Now whilst he may be found as he is only passing by not to stay. Opportunity might not present itself again. HOW-Just use your eyes to see how hard is it? But what if you have eyes but you donât have VISION? You can only see that which is in the range or parameters of your SIGHT OR VISION. God said to Abraham as FAR AS YOUR EYES CAN SEE. WE LIVE BY FAITH NOT BY SIGHT. Abraham was called the father of FAITH because he never moved by SIGHT! God said Abraham leave without knowing but he obeyed! You can only see as far as your eyes can reach. How do you see beyond where your eyes can reach unless you have FAITH? REPOSITION yourself to a place where the circumstances, challenges, obstacles might have not changed but through FAITH they are no longer obstruction to your SIGHT or VISION.

And no one pours new wine into old wineskins; otherwise, the new wine breaks the wineskins, and the wine spills, and the wineskins are lost; but new wine in new wineskins is to be added. Mark 2:22 What is a wineskin and how was it used in Biblical times The wineskin referred to in Jesus' parable was a bag made of leather, usually goat, and in Biblical times it was used especially to hold liquids. Once tanned, a seam was applied around the leather leaving only a hole in the part of the neck through which the liquid was poured for its preservation. New or freshly made wine was poured into the wineskin and left to stand. As the wine fermented, the leather bag stretched due to the gas emission from the contents. When the wineskin was old and due to heavy use, it lost its elasticity and became very hard. If new wine was added to this hardened wineskin that had already given up and therefore did not stretch any further, the result was that when the wine fermented, the wineskin burst, thus losing both the wineskin and the wine. So old wineskins could only be used to store old wine, while new wine had to be stored in new wineskins. Next we will explain the biblical meaning of this interesting use. The phrase all over again is used  for saying that you do the whole of something again starting from the beginning, or that the whole of a long process happens again One of the greatest basketball players ever by the name Michael Jordan said something which I love âI can accept failure, everyone fails at something. But I canât accept not trying.â In life we are trying to do something. We are all trying to achieve something. We have great plans. Amazing dream but my question is what do you do when things donât go according to plan?  The bible Says Simon Peter from the bible passage we just read said I am going out to fish and some other disciples decided to go with him. Like all of us in life â somebody said Im going to study. Somebody said I am going to get married. Somebody said I am going to get a job. Somebody said I am going to get healed. Somebody said I am going to start a business. Somebody also said I am going to start a ministry. We look forward to starting a new career. We look forward to start afresh.
This morning, the bible makes it clear that God created heaven and earth and created mankind in his image. God also gave mankind the ability to also create. Thatâs why if you look around man has made aeroplane, cars, houses, chairs, pots you name it. Now one thing you have to understand is that creation cannot be bigger than the creator. In other words cars etc cannot be bigger or more important than human beings.
In preparation of this message, I asked the Lord what do you want me to tell people. He said tell them to be careful how they live. The world has changed and is going to continue to change. We are living in evil days. Â âBE VERY CAREFUL, THEN HOW YOU SHOULD LIVEâ! In other words watch and pay attention to how walk in life. Do not live life anyhow. The way you live matters to God.
In Christianity, the Great Commission is the instruction of the resurrected Jesus Christ to his disciples to spread the gospel to all the nations of the world. The most famous version of the Great Commission is in Matthew 28:16â20, where on a mountain in Galilee Jesus calls on his followers to make disciples of and baptize all nations in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
IN OUR WORLD TODAY, there are a lot of negativities right now. It seems like our NOW is occupied with what we think the devil is doing. Our now is full of fear, anxiety, depression etc. In the midst of all that is happening in our world NOW, we tend to miss what God is also doing RIGHT NOW. People are saying right NOW there is economic hardship, right now businesses are not doing so well and collapsing, right now it seems the release of the lockdown is too early, right NOW people donât know what to do anymore
It is said that one thing that is certain is uncertainties. One thing that is constant is CHANE. The world that we live is constantly changing. Right now we are facing a time of a tremendous CHANGE due to COVID-19, What does it mean when we say God is immutable? It means that God never changes.
