Over the years, Berlin has been cited as Oliver Koletzki's main point of reference and, more importantly, his endless source of inspiration. His albums Großstadtmärchen and Großstadtmärchen 2 are wholehearted tributes of the German capital, as its importance is continuously hinted and charted. Friedrichshain, one of Berlin's vibrant districts, has always held a special place in Oliver's heart. This is where he started out when he first moved to the city, and this is where he lives now. Kreuzberg's wall paintings adorn Stil vor Talent's cover sleeves and host their headquarters. There are little to no corners in the city that haven't brought a spark of inspiration into the mix. The Schneeweiss compilation series, now at its 12th installment, is built as a form of tribute to all these particles, tied in together into a series of carefully curated tracks. Each compilation stands at the intersection of the musical and cultural surroundings most prominent of their respective times, acting both as a reminder as well as a timeless sound capsule for the years to come.
For his remixes, Lutzenkirchen takes two paths. The main remix sees him flex his techno muscles with a filtered saw-tooth bass taking the lead. Muscular and grimy, it builds with irresistible force. For the 'Alternate' mix he goes back to his roots for a guttural German trance assault full of angry melodics and overdriven kicks.

The lone interpretation of 'The Silence of What's Left Behind' is provided by Lonya who is making his first appearance on Movement Recordings. The Russian born, Israel based artist has been a mainstay of Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music roster in recent years and also owns releases on Bpitch Control and Parquet Recordings. Lonya's Movement debut has been much anticipated and he's delivered a gorgeous take which complements the original wonderfully. The warmth and funk remains while percussive waves up the intensity nicely. Production work for Parquet and the stunning “Fistashim” EP for Sudbeat in June 2015, have been an impressive addition to Lonya’s portfolio as has a starring role in mixing CD1 of the latest “Sudbeats 3” compilation and a number of releases on his own successful and carefully curated Asymmetric Recordings. December 2014’s “Consensus Must” EP marks a highlight in a release portfolio with Proton Music, supplemented by remixes of DNYO, Scotty.A and Erdi Irmak, as we welcome back Lonya for a sublime rework of James Monro. Taking the chunky, full-blooded groove of the original, subtle wave-like textures gently throb in rhythmic syncopation as a stepped percussive riff cuts through the atmosphere. Evolving effortlessly a delicious riff reveals itself to provide an aural hook that locks into the subconscious with vice like grip. A warm, deep bass groove adds further to illustrate Lonya’s impressive talent.

The third instalment of the infamous 'Sudbeats' collection lands with 31 tracks, offering a trip into the different landscapes of underground dance music. From deep early night beats to melodic uplifting crowd bangers, to straight rhythms for the harder floors, many of these fantastic tracks have been tested by label boss Hernan Cattaneo during the last year, and some of them are highly awaited. The digital release will include all tracks, however, the triple CD is made of 3 discs: disc 1 mixed by Lonya, disc 2 mixed by Graziano Raffa Dj, while disc 3 features all of the mp3s (full length versions). And so with this being the third of the series, you can see a strong symbology and as you will see with the artwork, a triangle teas centre stage, and its a triple CD with the red, blue and green Sudbeat colors shining all over the package. Three really is the magic number here.
