I don't know that we give ourselves permission to feel pain - to not only be hurt but to just be able to SAY it.

When we feel pain our instincts lead us to either run, fight it or even just be paralyzed because we don't know HOW to react. We often try to distance ourselves from the pain but avoiding pain shouldn't be our goal.

Health24: "Pain plays an important role in the lives of humans. It presumably serves to protect us from harm by making us associate certain harmful actions with a sensation of pain. And to alert us to diseases or conditions which we may have. Pain also produces an emotional reaction, not just a physical one."

NEWSFLASH: I feel pain too.

I can't even begin to tell you how many times people have asked me about vision boards. Do I make them? The short answer is NO. Do I like them? I'm not opposed. What are my thoughts on them?

I'm recording this because the ACTION PLAN is much more important than the pretty pictures. I'm going to talk about some things that you can do to make things happen quicker. You may need to cut and RE-PASTE because I wonder if you have the most important thing front and center. And you're going to need a few POST IT NOTES because I want you to put the actions on those pretty pictures and once one action is done, remove it and put up the next one.

5 POINTS I'm going to discuss:

  3. GIVING must be FRONT and CENTER!
  4. Be STILL or STILL be MOVING!
  5. Dream TRIPS!

  6. Put your PIECES on!

This has to be hands down the #1 question I get asked so I'm going to knock this one out for you in hopes that you get a better understanding of how (I believe) mentorship REALLY works.

Points:

  1. Your mentor usually finds you!
  2. It's good to have mentors for different things.
  3. Once you have a mentor ... SUBMIT!
  4. Stop asking.* (but not really ...)
  5. ME. How I'm mentoring through podcasts & am at capacity due to my current needy mentees. lol

It's no secret that I read a lot. I know that that there are PLENTY of people that don't read. Take a look at these stats:

25% of adults will not read a single book this year
33% of high school graduates never read another book for their entire life
42% of college graduates never read another book after college
80% of US families did not buy or read a book last year

That's a SAD state of affairs. I'm going to do what I always do and hit you with 5 points on what reading does for you:

  1. Creates Confidence.
  2. Be Deliberate.* (I will explain)
  3. Vocabulary EXPANSION.
  4. Increases Creativity. (*and then you can be your own person and stop copying)
  5. Concentration (which leads to focus which helps you conquer goals).
