This bonus episode is a talk I gave to my students at Cal State San Marcos and Clark Atlanta University for our exchange program around the theme, "Songs of Protest, Resistance and Compassion."  Here I lift up a topic commonly discussed in vocal music history, are words more important than music or is the music more important than the words?  I direct our focus instead to exploring purpose and values which speaks to every aspect of our lives.
