Let's talk about cheap, physical Nintendo Wii games developed and/or produced by Sega that don't suck! ...mostly. I'm trying to refresh my skills with Camtasia video editing software (it's been a while and I'm not extremely happy with DaVinci Resolve at the moment), as well as test out my new (very cheap, rather janky) Roxi HD Pro game capture device, so there's a lot of loose ends being tied together here. But what's important is that it provides a solid excuse to catch up on some games that have waited in my backlog for far too long.

This week I've tried to acquaint myself with a new (to me) video editor called DaVinci Resolve by BlackMagic Design. It's a really full, deep video editor (yep, even the free version), so I did a trial-by-fire and cooked up a couple small videos to try to learn the basic functions.

Sega Saturn consoles really aren't TOO expensive, but its games' reputation for being pricey is deserved. As your resident cheapskate, I've taken the liberty of digging up my top 5 good cheap Sega Saturn games, in order of how strongly I recommend them, starting from the top (strongest). These games are so cheap and so good (well, good enough) that I think they need to be in basically every Sega Saturn owner's collection.

I'm not an expert when it comes to the Sega Master System, but I do know a a few things about one game that checks off a lot of this nostalgic console's tropes. Things like an embarrassingly bad title and box art that criminally undersell this good, cheap game. Dragon Quest is a long-standing JRPG franchise with tons of entries. There aren't many great cheapos in the main series, but I think I've picked out the best one (or three or four) for budget-conscious franchise noobs, as well as a handful of spinoffs you might want to investigate as well. It's tough to swallow the fact that my personal favorite probably isn't the best choice, but I'll begrudgingly stand by my main recommendation.

A lot of what we consider the best retro license titles are Disney games made by Capcom, but you shouldn't look past Sunsoft's early gems, or what Konami did with the Tiny Toons license.
