My heart breaks over the unprecedented Southern CA wildfires.

Healing through catastrophic tragedy mentally, emotionally & spiritually gave me, not only the will to live, but profound self-acceptance, peace and gratitude. Once again, I am personally reliving my own experiences of wildfire evacuation by being on high alert to flee at a moments notice.

This compelled me to share my feelings and wisdom I've gained through my expereinces of crisis, chaos, death and loss as my way of supporting others suffering from overwhelming emotions of shock, anger, pain, hurt, despair, hopelessness....

The human brain is built for survival, especially when it comes to life or death situations. It designed to shut off emotions to either fight or flee. We need this function to step into functional action for the best chances for survival.

Once the eminent danger has subsided, the brain disengages from the fear-based fight/flight function, it's imperative to allow the emotions and feelings to emerge. This is the most important first step to healing and recovery. There is then an opening for understanding and the ability to process making sense of our experiences.

Crisis will make or break us. I was evacuated from the inferno of the California wildfires. When the evacuation order sounded, I froze. This time having learned from that experience, and since then, trained rigorously for high level mental performance, I did NOT freeze. I was ready!

However, I had no REAL idea how ready I was, until I was faced with the IRL ordeal.

Night and day difference of how I was able to deal with this mentally, emotionally, spiritually, physically and financially. Everything lined up better than I could have ever foreseen. The more I trusted the process and overrid my fears, the more confident and resilient I felt. The more miraculously the evacuation process flowed with ease and synchronicity.

Another test of my inner fortitude. This was yet again, another necessary wake up call that put my whole life into a far greater perspective. What I got out of this experience is beyond priceless....

Over "Doing" is a cover up and mask for underlying emotional pain, predominantly UNconscious fear of feeling insecure and not good enough.

Our brain tricks us to think and believe that when we have NO money or NOT enough money, then we are at the effect of our circumstances. This causes a downward spiral of disempowerment, and we now create a "Poor Mindset." This becomes a hidden perceptive filter that blindly gets in the way of every aspect of life. Tired of having to do things, rather than wanting to do things? If you are human then you can relate to this! It's all about the choices and decisions you make consciously and UNCONSCIOUSLY. Case & Point: Marilyn admits that she doesn't want to spend time and care for her husband, who is suffering from dementia, after decades of marriage. WTF?

It's NOT about her husband or her marriage, it's about subconscious REBELLION stemming from early childhood causing emotional blindspots. This undetectible resentment causes Marilyn to unintentionally avoid and escape the uneasiness hidden by, what I call, "almost justifiable excuses." IT'S ALWAYS ABOUT FEELING FREE FROM MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL IMPRISONMENT.

It's never obvious, and only shows up as irritability, frustration, anxienty, distraction, anger, short-temperedness, indifference, inability to commit and effectively meet obligations, lack of joy, happiness and gratitude. The list is just too long, but simply put, it hinders, blocks and stops us from faithfully being, doing and getting what we truly WANT.

"I hate it when you're right, Karen," Marilyn blurts out when I call her out on what she is unwilling to confront, only because she can't see the real saboteur, "HerSELF."

If she truly wants to be happy, healthy and harmoniously married while continuing to build her dreams in life, then she must learn how to recognize the negative symptoms and reconnect to the positive aspects of taking responsiblity for the life she wishes to create. And, most importantly, emotionally connect to the fun, freedom, benefits and fulfilling rewards of stopping the cycle of SELF-SABOTAGE.

Failure is my best teacher! My greatest life altering debacle was my FAILED suicide attempt. "I had reached the end of my rope, it was do, or die...and, in my reality---a matter of life and death. So, miraculously, I chose LIFE." ~ #KarenLoveLee

However, not without massive resistance, I was willing to tough it out by committing to learning what I did not know was "in shadow," by finally taking full #SelfResponsibility.
