This podcast is a partnership between Portland Art Museum and Portland Meet Portland, a mentorship program for immigrants and refugees in Portland, OR. This partnership was arranged in tandem with the exhibition, Common Ground, which features photographs of immigrants and refugees, taken by Fazal Sheikh.
Manuel Padilla leads a conversation between Portland Meet Portland mentors and their mentees. They talk about their experiences from their youth and what it's like to live in Portland. The refugees also have a lot of thoughts about Fazal Sheikh's photos in the "Common Ground" exhibition at Portland Art Museum.
