Hello Discovery of SELF Friends and Family. I am Back! I've had to pull away to heal myself emotionally. I experienced myself in depression and ptsd. I needed to allocate time to hold space without timeframe for myself to recover. Most importantly, Come Home to Myself. I am proud to report that I am two months in to my emotional recovery. Now, that calls for a Celebration for sure. A couple of weeks ago I got connected with this new audio social app called, Clubhouse. WOW! I've been waiting for something like this. Today, I was testing out how to navigate hosting a room and record it so I shared my poems as a pilot run of Me hosting a room. I look forward to connecting with you there if you are on the app.

I never thought or have dreamt of sharing my story from the lens of Mental Illness. I had shame preventing me from doing so and prideful as I've experienced healing for my mind in the last decade. But I am currently experiencing my most recent episode of PTSD and Depression. Just in the last week I was seeing light at the end of this dark tunnel I found myself in. As I finally allowed myself to be vulnerable to reach out to ask and receive support, I was also inspired to be a voice to remove the stigma off Mental Illness. The power of touch... Especially during Covid-19 where social distancing is in place and we may feel limited in expressing physical affection. This energy can affect the body overwhelming, a shock to our system, and expressed as stress to survive this limitation. The body is meant to be touch and feels pleasure with meditative caress. Your touch and engagement in the present moment is transformational. So go and make love to your body tonight.

Yesterday I've had to process through trauma, yet again! I feel that I've been on this journey Consciously this year. But it's good! Holistic health is my pursuit. I value healing therefore I have to make a decision to embrace it when an opportunity for deeper inner healing presents itself. Trauma is that opportunity that when it arise, when we are triggered by a present day event or the action of someone, we can choose to heal in that moment instead of perpetuating the trauma of the past.

I'm SUPER excited, awake, aware, conscious today! A couple of days ago I was encountering rough-painful experiences. I allowed myself to feel the pain in the present. I didn't run away from it, hide it, nor suppress it. I sat with it! I had a decision to make. Either remain in the limiting beliefs of my past or move forward into the energy of my future. I made a decision yesterday and I'm experiencing the reality of that decision into my present reality today.

Today was tough! Painful even. Certain mindset I have is still in the past and in lack. However, the energy of my heart is pulling me connected to my future. For three decades of my life what makes sense was to lash out and run away when things are tough. I didn’t know how to deal with my thoughts and emotions that tend to always become overwhelming.
