We are such fans of Lindsay! One. She wails. Two, She shreds the geeetar y'all. Three kick ass human. So, we chilled before the Blake show and talked cooking steak, Lindsay's puppy Hendrix, Carly Pearce and the keytar?
Walker Hayes has been rescheduled for Thursday, October 7th at Firefly Distillery. We can't wait to have Walker back in Charleston. We ramble about "Fancy Like", Chili's, "Waffle Hayes", Kesha and life after "Applebee's on a date night. Bourbon Street Steak,, Oreo Shake"
Welp. We did it! #Charleston is now the 2nd most desired place in the United States to retire. Noooooooooo! Orlando is number one. May we suggest Cincinnati? Skyline Chili. Bengals. #Whoday
Huge news (and hard to believe) #BluesClues is celebrating 25 years. Steve is back! And... we just got a message! We just got a message! We just got a message and we wonder what's up with that Steve!
Here at Hunter & Cush, we just want you to find love. However, sometimes you just can't find the right words to meet the object of your desire. We are here to help. Welcome to Lowcountry Missed Connections.
Soooooo. Governor Andrew "Dice" Cuomo is in just a lil bit of trouble for gettin' handsy with the help. And what a better way to defend yourself then by showing all the people that you have kissed, hugged or called "honey" over the years. This is every HR department's nightmare. Hunter & Cush break down the Dice. Ohhhhh!
"Can you turn it down, I am trying to sleep!" Strange things are afoot in Shem Creek. According to what we read, Vickery's in Shem Creek got slapped with a Mt P. "noise ordinance fine" $475.00 on a Monday. At 5:30PM? As usual, we ask "But. For. Why?" It's Shem Creek! Drinks beer...
Hunter & Cush catch up with Lily Rose before her VIP Acoustic Session at Firefly Studios on Thursday, July 22nd. We talk about her single "Villain". We also talk about chicken, beer, Coors Light, tequila and when the Gamecocks beat Georgia at Georgia. Get to know Lily, cause she is amazing.
Sometimes...Jessica joins Hunter & Cush. Apparently Jessica had a pretty awesome Smash Burger in Park Circle. Jessica found the ultimate way to make one at home. It includes "fish juice." Wait. WHAT????
Hunter & Cush (sometimes Jessica) are discussing Hunter's music choices while going through drive-thrus, Hunter LOVES some Chick-Fil-A. He also like nasty rap to start his day. Hunter was bangin' the classic "Get Low" from Lil' Jon loudly. Then guilt set in. It seems Hunter felt he should choose more appropriate music. Cush disagrees. What is proper Fil-A music?
Haley Mae stops by to premiere "Never Been In Love". Over 8 million views on Tik Tok. Definitely drop this in your playlist. Haley discusses blowin' up on Tik Tok, airports, her favorite Charleston haunts and being in Nashville.
We heard through the grapevine that Chris Lane wanted to name Lauren's and his baby Rambo. Best name ever. Rambo Lane. Rolls of the tongue. A child made for sports or WWE. We also give Chris the "what to expect when you are changing a diaper" speech. Plus, we wanna play golf with Chris when he comes back to Charleston.
Epic night with Jimmie Allen at Firefly Distillery. Thank God, we have Jessica. Welcome to the first "Jessica's Drunk Concert Review", This is a job Jessica takes seriously. Here is what we know. Wine in a can is equal 2.5 glasses and two is like an entire bottle. The new official shot of Hanahan is Pink Whitney perfect for pre-gaming. Mix that and a Bend & Steel from Firefly, well you have a party happening. It all happened...Picnic table fail. Waiting at porta john even though she had an all access pass, almost threw hands w Jimmie Allen's guests . Eating Hometeam BBQ, but then going to pee mid bite. Singing off key. Bruises are being discovered even as we speak.
It's Cinco De Mayo. Someone STOLE the Taco Truck. Where is the Taco Truck? Better yet! Who is the TACO TRUCK? It's gone. It's LIFE! And we can't find it. This insurrection WILL NOT STAND! Help!
It's Cinco De Mayo. Someone STOLE the Taco Truck. Where is the Taco Truck? Better yet! Who is the TACO TRUCK? It's gone. It's LIFE! And we can't find it. This insurrection WILL NOT STAND! Help!
Clifford The Big Red Dog is gonna be a live action movie dropping in December. Super cute. That got Cush and Hunter thinking. Thinkin' Couch Thoughts. Sooooo, Clifford's height is roughly 25 feet. His weight about 80.000 pounds. Which means.... what kinda a mess is Clifford gonna make in the neighbor's yard? We have Couch Thoughts so you don't have to.
This is crazy. Dierks Bentley is doing a small 5 city club tour. The legendary Windjammer is the first stop on the "High Times & Hangovers Tour". Hunter & Cush ramble with Dierks about 2003 (what we can all remember), Hangovers, Tour merch, Hot Country Knights and their knuckle and how insane this show will be. This will be the hottest ticket on IOP. Get ready. May 11th is gonna be nuts!
We just had the best hang with Caitlyn Smith at Firefly. To say Caitlyn tore the place up is an under stating the situation. We also celebrated 13 years of Sweet Tea Vodka. We talk with Caitlyn about soft shell crab, Willie Nelson and Minnesota. Go Packers! Sorry/Not Sorry.
(Pt. 3 of 3): Charleston craft breweries are known for supporting each other, right? Not in the case of Low Tide vs. Tideland. Low Tide’s recent legal action against fellow brewery Tideland over naming rights was deemed “dead in the water” by an impressively pun-wielding federal judge who took the opportunity - or perhaps a bet? - to use as many water-themed wordplays as possible in their formal rejection of the matter. Seems a rising tide does lift all boats. ;) If only Hunter could see it that way before he files a complaint of his own against Tideland's owner... for having the same first name. There can only be one Hunter in this town, and it's going to be him. Sorry "Other Hunter." Challenge: take a sip every time the word "Hunter" is mentioned in this episode. (And schedule the Uber now.) Cheers, ya'll!

Been so long since I have has a Steak-Umm. Been sold out at the Walmart. Sadness and pain is what that is. The closest thing I can get is their Twitter feed. And when it comes to a debate, no one can deconstruct an argument like Steak-Umm. Bless!
So Trevor Lawrence is living his best life. #1 Draft pick, spent the week at The Masters, married in Bluffton to Marisa, his dad wore one shoe and the sickest gift registry which included a $299.00 toaster. We want one. Also, Hunter fires the show writer.
DMX passed away last week. Cush had the most CUSH moment of Cush moments before. Happened in the Charleston Radio Group hallway with arguably the coolest guy in the building, DJ Tantrum, X didn't give it to ya Cush.
Disney just announced that they made "Real" light sabers! Shut your GUNGAN mouth! Take all our money. We break down how we had to do things Old Skool saber construction and the impending injuries that will happen at Galaxy's Edge.
Coming off an amazing first weekend of April. So many parties! The majestic pageantry of... the PBA. We're not sure what's better Pete Weber "Who Do You Think You Are I AM!" or the "Ginger Assassin" gloriously smiting the 7/10 split with a mullet. Welcome to the PBA.
Been a rough week for Hunter. Pushing through some bad stomach pain. At first, he thought it was some bad Jack Links. We got to the 5 day mark and sooooo Hunter went to the Doctor. And, it may be a kidney stone. Or diverticulitis. Either way, it will require FLOWMAX. FLOWMAX!

We call our resident Queen of Organization Kerry to delve into WHY anyone would want to organize a junk drawer?
The Drew "Let's organize a junk drawer" continues. Apparently, there is a workbook to help you Condo up your messy life. Hunter & Cush have an idea on how to improve it.
When they are on air, Hunter & Cush have been taking up binging the Drew show, Well today, it was all about organizing. Both Hunter & Cush instantly got anxious. Especially when Drew organized her junk drawer. Hello, it's a junk drawer. That's what it does, that's all it does!
We had breaking news. Peppa Pig has been renewed. Everyone relax and grab a drink. We need to have a talk. Hunter goes down the Peppa Pig rabbit hole and finds something sinister about Peppa. We're here to help.
Hunter has been going to see Dr, Murrin for anxiety, low back pain and generally cause he's a little off center. We bring in Dr. Murrin to also look at Cush,. Bottom line. They both have issues. Only difference is the height.
Hunter is holding on to the idea that Fergie taught Megan Markle how to curtsy. Hunter plans on adopting the Fergie Fur Curtsy at work and while shopping at the grocery store. My lady...
Over 17 million people watched Megan Merkle drop bombs on the Royals, Merika! Well, one thing that we both found fascinating is that Fergie taught Megan how to work that curtsy. It's Fergalicious!
Jim calls us at 843-972-9292 and let's us know his thoughts on the proposed Space Hotel.
Hunter & Cush are divided on the proposed Space Hotel set to launch in 2027. They have bars, restaurants and will circle the earth every 90 minutes to stop the lack of gravity from "tearing you apart" NOPE> Space is a vacuum.
Welp. It's almost been a year since "The Rona" shut down everything, including last call. Last night the Last Call Order was lifted by Governor McMaster. Hunter & Cush play the latest press conference "Governor McMaster" breaks down what is next with "Operation FUBAR"
We catch up with South Carolina's Lauren Hall who is dropping some new music on us. We get into her single "Thank You Very Much" her video, that she plays Elsa from Frozen and how ridiculous unwanted DM slides are, which leads to a new song idea with Cush's alter ego "Big Noggie"
So how is your kissing game? Been a while? Or maybe your just not good at it. Welp. There is a pillow for that. Hunter & Cush break down this DO NOT WANT Valentine's Day gift.
You know if it's wonky or weird, it has to come from Florida. Point in case they just found a python over 16 feet long. And it's dead cause Florida. What could go wrong?
Ever look at the "My Pillow" guy and think to yourself, "I really should slide in the DM's, so we can hookup!"? Well, there's a rumor going around that he has hooked up and now he is suing to "defend his reputation."
Happy marriage key #2: If you spend your free time doing more fun bonding activities with your work spouse than you do your actual spouse, don't let your work spouse tell them! Hunter spills the beans to Andrea and the words "Hunter, is my marriage over??" were said. Take notes, young lovers.
In a nod to National Spouses Day and all the couples out there searching for the key to a happy marriage, we're sharing a page out of the book of "What NOT to Do," courtesy of Cush and his patient wife Andrea. Ask yourself: if given only $6, would you buy your favorite ice cream or your spouse's? Cush would buy his and lie to Andrea about it. We get Andrea's reaction, and it goes about as well as you'd expect. Happy Spouses Day, everyone. And remember what you've learned here.
Governor McMaster was in North Charleston ordering up at the new vaccination drive-thru. Hilarity ensues.
It's time someone spoke up. This aggression will not stand. We are looking at you Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Now don't get me wrong. I LUV me some Cinnadust. I dust my coffee with it. But this cereal needs to be corrected. They literally eat one another. Walking Dead Style. So, we here at Hunter & Cush are asking to bring back the Cinnamon Toast Crunch bakers. Hi! Mom!
Ready for the first earworm of 2021? May we suggest a good ol' fashioned Sea Shanty to accompany your rum in the dead of winter? Gotta love Nathan Evans who posted it on Tik Tok. It has taken on a life of it's own.
A Sea Shanty is described as " “a song with alternating solo and chorus, of a kind originally sung by sailors while performing physical labor together.” Crews would participate in a call-and-response-like chorus while out on the open seas that evolved into drinking songs and folklore as time passed."
All about that life.
Sing a long... Here is the chorus.
"Soon may the Wellerman come To bring us sugar and tea and rum One day, when the tonguin’ is done We’ll take our leave and go"
Well, we are down to final two episodes of "The Bachelorette". Seems it's down to Zac and Ivan. Both had a La Quinta date. At least Zac got to paint. Longest cold water kiss? Meh! Lame. Ben is out but back. We bring in Kerry our "Digital Guru" (we still don't know what she does) to do our predictions. In response to #RealitySteve we try and go with #RealityCush. Cush is salty and hates it.
Breaking News. The last place on Earth to deal with Rona is Antarctica. Now before you pack your Northface, let's talk about that in past tense. That's right, the last place on Earth to have a case of The Rona now has 36 documented cases. Chilean base camp. This is bad. Ever see "The Thing" with Kurt Russell? It's about to get all Christmas Chronicles up in here. Part 1 & 2.
Hunter & Cush have been hyping up "The Christmas Star" since Thanksgiving. A huge event. 400 years in the making. "Look to the southern sky" they said. The two gaseous planets will form one giant Hardee's lookin' star (I am paraphrasing)! Well, guess what!!! Didn't see much, Moon, Seen. Orion. Seen. Mars. Seen. The "Christmas Star" nothing but the Don Holt and paper factory smoke. Thanks conjunction! Well, we have till Christmas Eve or another 400 years.
Today Pfizer is dropping the first doses of the Covid-19 vaccine. Now before we all get in the Covid Conga line and throw caution to the wind, we all need to understand something. There are only going to be 200,000-300,000 doses. There are 5 million people in the state of South Carolina... Which means, well we aren't so good at math, but we thinks not everyone is going to get this... Thank god for our Covid Calculator! Oh. Yeah, That's not good.
Welcome to a Monday. South Carolina is getting our first round of Pfizer vaccinations. About 200,000-300,000 will be available by the end of the year in a state with 5.08 million people. (What could possibly go wrong?) Now before you get in the Covid Conga line, remember, we are gonna need to keep cold. So Governor McMaster is on his way to Summerville to look at freezers. We sense a new alliteration coming on...
WAZE has now added Santa to their cornucopia of voices to make your drive more... interesting. We gotta say, it's no Nom Nom Nom Cookie Monster. Actually, the WAZE Santa voice is LAME. So we jailbroke our WAZE and added a much more appropriate voice for Lowcountry traffic. He needed the job. He needed to get off that Island. Check out WAZE- Charlie In The Box.
Welp. It's another Wednesday. Welcome to another "live performance" from Governor McMaster. A few weeks ago, McMaster got #testingbeforeturkey trending. Well, he's back. And today he dropped a new hashtag. We apparently have a Skooz issue. Skooz is a complicated issue. Skooz is such an issue that there is Skooz punishment. Don't wanna Skooz, you could lose your Skooz license. #Skooz
Stepping into another week of The Bachelorette. The gang (West Ashley in the house!) rambles on about the new Candy Cane Cookies from Trader Joe's. They are called Jo Jo's. As in JoJo is now hosting The Bachelorette. Hunter has been growing to accept that he retains enough information that may sound like he can talk to smart people, but can't hang. Kerry is drunk most days on Kombucha. Cush had a birthday. We all hate Bennett. And this episode of The Bachelorette was very revealing (yeah Ben & Blake). We also end the show with Hunter's misunderstanding of anything that Kerry said. (Tinnitus Table of 1). This leads to new show words "interwinein" and "gushnuts" which Hunter thought was some sort of goji fruit that Kerry uses to keep her gut flora in perfect check.
Welcome to Totally Dysfunctional Theater. Christmas Vacation. We welcome the vocal talents of Kerry (we still don't know he ACTUAL title). We reenact the iconic Aunt Bethany and Uncle Lewis scene. Our favorite burn of all time "You couldn't hear a dump truck driving through a nitroglycerine plant." Merry Christmas Vacation.
Who thought this week would bring soooo much drama? It seemed to be a simple enough plan, Grab some Publix fried chicken, whip up some arugula salad and watch some Tayshia. Apparently, Cush fell asleep. Hunter was worried... like stress cleaned worried that something happened to Cush, Nope. Cush was sleeping. We also discovered that Cush & Hunter know Kerry's job title. Hunter is loyal to a point that when he cares, he will clean your house. We also have no issue with the term "smoke show" and that Noah (in his best Top Gun Goose like moustache) played the game well. We are about to get some "grown ass men" up in here.
Cush & Hunter are celebrating Christmas in the Lowcountry. We have tickets to the Holiday Festival of Lights with Totally Dysfunctional Theater. The Island of Misfit Toys. All you need is little Charlie in the Box.
Nothing brings people closer together in the most awkward of ways than "Tiny Couch Interviews" We squeeze in with the guys of Old Dominion. Of course we couldn't get out of this without meowing. It really is cathartic. Things get awkward as Cush wastes Old Dominion's time and Hunter works through life by quoting OD songs and lyrics. Also, we think we went WAY over our time, (you can hear the "wrap it up" beeps) but OD and we didn't seem to mind and neither did we.
Welp. Tonight is the night. We are most likely saying goodbye to “the oldest Bachelorette.” Big night. Kerry has news about Dale’s former modeling job for Party City. And well we need dinner for this evening. A healthy salad seems like a smart choice (Hunter & Cush smashed some Publix fried chicken at lunch) so a request for Arugula was made on the group text. And that is where Cush gets burned.
We are facing the most important decision of our lives. "MEHLection" 2020. We sent our imbibing correspondent Jessica Chandler to the North Charleston Chili's to bring you complete "MEHLection 2020" coverage. Hanahan in da' house. Drink 'em if you got 'em!
Over the weekend legendary Sean Connery passed at 90. Everyone has their favorite Sean Connery movie. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, James Bond, Highlander The Rock. Hunter & Cush pay tribute to Sean by reading a group text from The Bachelorette and the confusion that surrounds a Taco Bell order. Cush (not known for celebrity voices) nails his first Sean Connery and will inevitably repeat said Sean in the hallways from this day forward. RIP Sean Connery.
We are now 3 episodes into The Bachelorette "The Clare Strikes Back" So much happened here. Over a couple of bottles of "Rhianna" wine and Taco Bell (you owe us restitution! Where are our Quesoritos?" This is now 2x Doordash. We will punt you! Anyhoo. It went down this week. Clare, Yosef, Dale, bro mad. We break down feeling crazy in a relationship. Kerry whips out a mean Katherine Hepburn impersonation and Hunter. Welp, he's working on it.
Thanks to Hanna Power at Count On 2 News, we now know of the Haunting in Battery. It's a hotel. It's haunted. We are not impressed. Rudy the romantic ghost? Meh.
Well it looks like NASA found water on the moon. Which means... Aliens???? They apparently are sending people back to the moon. (Yawn. So 1972) Cush & Hunter break down HOW BAD OF AN IDEA THIS IS (yes, we TRUMP CAPPED). This is how it all begins. Doesn't anyone go to the movies anymore? Wait. What? All in the name of space water. What could go wrong?
Well, it's another Bachelorette Tuesday, the return of "I'm 39." This may be the end of Clare's naked volleyball shenanigans. Kerry, Cush & Hunter start the podcast by pouring one out for Taco Bell's Mexican Pizza. A staple. No amount of Snoop Red will fix this folly. We also break down "The Bachelorette: Clare the Drankin' Game." We also dispel the theory that high end wine ain't got nothing on Winking Owl.
Over the weekend Hunter picked up some delicious Chocolate Porter from Yuengling. He saved one for Cush "burp Charlie burp." This led to a heated debate on the real villain in Willy Wonka. Clearly, it is Grandpa Joe. Master manipulator, poor decision maker and all about Grandpa Joe. "Hey Joe, you almost killed our kid in the fizzy room. You had one job Joe." Cush is wrong. I'd punt Grandpa Joe. Sponsored by Nerds Ropes...
We continue this weeks "I'm 39! Bachelorette" premiere. We may have created a "I'm 39" the drinking game.
Welp. The season premiere of "The Bachelorette" has dropped. We went all in with a few bottles of wine and a nifty cheese board. So here is what we know. Clare is 39! Drink!
Just so we are all on the same page, Chris Hanson of "To Catch a Predator" will NOT be hosting this years' Bachelorette. Nope, Hunter STILL the O.G. Chris Hanson.
We break down our picks for fave Bachelor.
Kerry picks Chasen (not Chasin' You Kerry) cause that name seems legit. Plus he's an I.T. Account Executive. Ugh! BORING.
Cush picks Blake M cause he's a "Male Grooming Specialist"
Hunter pick Dale former Wide Receiver for the Green Bay Packers and Hungry Hippos enthusiast. "I don't wanna work. I wanna bang on the drum all day"
We break down the new season of The Bachelorette. There is a bevy of new Bachelors that Clare ain't gonna care cause she's out. Also, we commit to this evening's "cheese board" and Hunter mistakes Chris Hanson for Chris Harrison of "To Catch a Predator" I mean... we would watch that.
Breaking News~
From the Red Stapler Desk by the Janitor's closet at Charleston Radio Group,..
As if 2020 didn't try with the Rona. We got "The Rabies"
"Yet another rabid raccoon was found in Charleston County last week.
State health officials say the animal was located near South Boulevard and Durant Avenue and submitted to DHEC’s laboratory on October 6th. It was confirmed to have the disease the next day.
There are no known human exposures reported at this time. Hunter!
DHEC says this is the 35th animal to test positive for rabies in Charleston County this year. Among other cases included a rabid cat, fox, three bats and more than two dozen raccoons."
Hunter & Cush went deeper into this story. We welcome "Grits" the racoon to the Charleston Radio Group.
One thing that has divided us is Jessica's LOVE of Candy Corn (eewww David!) Hunter & Cush is proudly sponsored by Nerd Ropes so and we aren't afraid to punt some Candy Corn Mortal Kombat style. One thing we CAN agree on is theater. We act out SCREAM with Miss Jessica Chandler as GhostFace, Hunter as Drew Barrymore's character and Cush who helped! Happy Halloween!!!
Did you see David Blaine ascend to almost 25,000 in that crazy lookin' UP balloon and then drop? Insane. We love this dude! We watched the whole 2 hour plus video (so you didn't have to) and well WE FOUND SOMETHING NO ONE ELSE CAUGHT! We now know why DB went into space. Most Merika thing ever. We also break down the movie "UP" and "Bambi." Just remember WE BROKE IT FIRST. You're welcome!
Welp. Just like that Mt. Pleasant has lifted the mask requirement. It's always good to have a healthy debate. Hunter & Cush aren't afraid to go deep into the tough subjects. As we continue to live through Covid, we have noticed that so many people have thoughts on masks and mask guidelines. That's why we can mask debate and still be friends.
Fall is almost here! That means #PSL season is here as well a ton of movie shoots. They are looking for extras for Outer Banks Season 2: Electric Boogaloo. Being from West Ashley, Hunter & Cush are definitely Pogues. Only time they Kook up is at a Toby Keith show at Volvo Cars. They are also shooting a Hallmark Christmas movie at Patriot's Point. And Hunter has already written a script starring Channel 2's Temple Ricke and Rob Fowler. Murry Christmas.
We begin our first of many "Tiny Couch Interviews" series with Darius. Of course we gotta throw some jabs at Clemson and Lee Brice. No Cocks/Tigers is a sad world. We also learn that Darius apparently HATES horror movies and won't watch "The Walking Dead." We also talk "Beers & Sunshine", Gamecocks and our love of Charleston. Someone needs to loop a Darius laugh. Cheers!
Welp. It's the end of a long week. We start out the podcast discussing Amy Schumer's new Tampax commercials. We all agree that we could NEVER handle such a thing. Hunter gets into a Kelly Family "Ain't Gonna Pee Pee" vortex. This leads to a bedwetting discussion. Anthony Michael Hall from Weird Science flips out on a family. We discuss the "double cheers finger" and what makes us flip out. Finally, South Carolina is called "one of the ugliest states" in the country. Ummmm...Ok! Cheers it's Friday.
So welcome to a Friday. We pick up from the last podcast. You may wanna rethink that #SaltLife Sticker Sparky. We also talk team loyalty. Ben Affleck refused to sport a Yankees hat for the filming of "Gone Girl". Hunter agrees. Cush changed his stance when earlier this morning when he launched on Duke. Thomas wants cash. We discuss the "Gina Seeds" being illegally planted by Doyle with Miracle Grow. Duke still sucks...
Well this week starts out with dork. So, why not go into the etymology of said dork. We go down the rabbit hole which leads to whales, diaper rash cream and why "the ocean is salty". The gang went floatin' down the Edisto which leads to inevitable short jokes and how Cush couldn't get back on the float. We discuss the Myrtle thong controversy. Who knew "Dirty Myrtle" would even need or want such a law. Sleep Standards wants couples to test out mattresses and win some cash. Happy Couples Month or whatever...
There is some miscommunication within the gang. Cush blew Tight Pants Thomas off for Disc Golf last weekend due to a "realization" error. Cush wants to play this weekend. Tight Pants has the invite. It MAY happen. There is a nudist beach in Minnesota where they bust people using drones. Naked beaches are never what you want them to be. Someone brought fresh plums into work. Hunter finds them delicious and has eaten all of them. So juicy. And we discuss the one alcohol that we can't stomach due to first time drinking experiences.
There were two types of kids in the neighborhood. Those who beat the other kids up and the other kids who got beat up. Take a guess which ones we were. Yeah, We start off this weeks' cast with CUSH crushing bugs. Laying waste to 'em. Hunter was out and had to be tested for "The Rona" due to exposure. Hunter's tests came back negative. However, things are well... Different. We talk Covid masks (which the rock band KISS now sells) We pay homage to KISS' hype man Paul Stanley and Hunter has a COVID dream featuring Hamburger Helper. And we break down the top Helper meals. The WORLD won this one.
The gang is coming off a hard weekend of golf frisbee and margaritas. Tight Pants Thomas is trending international. Thanks to YA YA our bartender at Azul in Park Circle, now our favorite marg place. We now call Thomas "Pantalones Ajustados de Tomas" Thomas & Hunter are both pillow droolers, a guy fights a shark for his buddy, Fruit Loops and Frosted Flakes are now smushin' in the same cereal box. AND... We have "Breaking News" from "guest mic" and "sidekick mic" on the removal of a foul smell in the studio and keep you up to date. Also, Cush drank a Pineapple Truly. So, there's that.
"Why is the world so angry?" Cush wants Hunter out of the studio when he's producing his show. Hunter wants to nap on the couch. Today "Hon-TAH!" and "Cushalicious" get the work spouse equivalent of couple's counseling with Jennifer Higley from Wildflower Center for Counseling.
Hunter gives us a "short" history of his height issues, Cush gets some vindication for demanding his privacy and Jennifer... is a tremendously good sport. She helps us understand that "Anger is the least vulnerable emotion" and "If you're listening to someone's boundary, you're respecting them." She also gives us some steps for figuring out if we're really angry or just masking a more vulnerable emotion - and for managing our anger when it's real.
Look forward to a few great quotes ("I can't wait until I'm really small... like hobbit-sized"), Hunter's evolving mispronunciation of the word "charcuterie" and some actionable steps you can take to better tend to your inner landscape.
If you feel you need some help, call Wildflower Center for Counseling at (843) 936-2566. Their offices are located at 268 W. Coleman Boulevard, Suite A, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464.
Well it's been a week. "Tight Pants" Thomas is back and now international. Cush debates what quantifies as a sport. Arby's bags can hold up to 25 lbs. Hunter has had a rough year, got all Fat Mac and is taking a 90 day Adelle break from all socials and now has a trainer from Crunch Fitness. Oh, it's on! We also discuss alien signals, a real National Treasure found and our Channel 2 crushes on Temple Ricke and Hannah Powers. Grab a Brotein Shake we're going Hardo on this podcast.
The world has been a tough place to navigate lately. And our feelings about it are complex: we want normalcy, but we don't want the 'Rona. We also miss the days of work-from-home, where not showering (or wearing pants) and taking midday Truly breaks was acceptable. That's why we sit down with Jennifer Higley from Wildflower Center for Counseling in Mt. Pleasant to unpack our feelings about "the new normal" and returning to work and learn how to bring down the lava level on our "emotional volcanos." Along the way, we play the usual song association game - this time to the band A-Ha and the movie Deadpool. Take a seat, "take on me" and let's begin.
Finally! Kerry "has come back" to Hunter & Cush. The gang honors Anthony Bourdain and his love of travel and Waffle House. We also discuss how Anthony got his heart broken. Hunter thinks emotions are dumb. Looney Tunes is removing Elmer Fudd's hunting outfit and rifle. We dig into what Looney Tunes character we would be. UFC fighter Paige VanZant has a way to keep her marriage interesting (cause "the stupid Gram") and Cush is upset with Kerry for getting his wife boujee wine drunk. The truth is seeping out. Pray it does not seep unto you.
Your mental health is extremely important. That's why we love having Jennifer Higley from Wildflower CFC in for Dude Therapy. If Jennifer can help us, we know she can help you as well for whatever you're dealing with. This week we discuss moving on in the "new normal", radical acceptance, setting healthy boundaries, the music of Phil Collins and that Hunter & Cush are very different.
The gang took a break over Memorial Day weekend. And now here we are again. A "Museday"? We cover Tight Pants Thomas' "smell good", the latest treat from Folly Beach "sea pork", a random video of a rare Tasmanian Devil (apparently, a live one hasn't been seen in over 100 years) and the latest upgrade in cereal, a tripped out Toucan Sam. Is it the weekend yet?
Well. It's been a week. Hunter hasn't slept in days and wakes up at 3:33 every morning. Thomas is a hardo so Cush & Hunter have a "Fat Kid Brain" yoked intervention. The gang discusses the legitimacy of the new "fat" Twilight Batman, a new fish called the Batfish, we give a nod to Cubs broadcaster Harry Caray immortalized by Will Ferrell and we discuss South Carolina social distancing blowup dolls, Yep, that's a thing. Cush holds court with DI Kooks, Hunter is in therapy. Happy Friday! #Cheers
So... Cush and Hunter (and Thomas) break down why they are hooked on Outer Banks! Yeah it's a teen show, but it's shot here in the Lowcountry, So we are all in with the #DankNuggs. We also break down the latest TikTok craze "Bro Bass Shop Challenge" Rudy sucks there Frodo and RIck James was all about Mary Jane.
Welp! It's been a week. When it comes to "The Rona" no state had it together more than West Virginia. Governor Jim Justice has no issues with opening things up. Just follow the "Fk'n Guidelines" also keep the average weight up and "eat at Bob Evans" (only if you wanna). We also break down the Cannonball Run, Smokey & the Bandit and why Hunter is nicknamed "Stroker Ace" all F bombs have been beeped for the kids.
It's Hunter's favorite holiday. May the 4th. Not to be out drank (drunk?) by Revenge of the 5th. Cush and "guest" Tight Pants Thomas review the weekend in the park with Frothy Beard and EDM beach bikes. Hunter hasn't drank since. Emperor McMaster lifted "Executive Order 2020-19" so we can go outside and hang. BUT...Murder Hornets. Thanks Rona. We also breakdown Cush's Stranger Things pic of him as a child. Drink 'em if you got 'em.
Hunter called a gathering of the Emergency Podcast Group. We get it, the world is all about "The Rona". However, how is NO ONE talking about that The Pentagon confirmed that yeah, we don't know what those flying things are. Cush, "Tight Pants" Thomas and Hunter break down what they think "first contact" could possibly bring. We're thinkin' this isn't E.T. and some Reeses Pieces. More Independence Day and Mars Attacks. The Truth Is Out There.
So this may not come as now surprise, but some of the people on this podcast may not be entirely stable. We are all adjusting to whatever "the new normal" is. Cush & Hunter are why therapists are important. We welcome the wonderful Jennifer Higley of Wildflower Center for Counseling in Mount Pleasant. We all know these are challenging times and Jennifer and her team are here to help.
Hunter speaks with Jermaine Husser of Palmetto Goodwill about their new virtual job training during Covid-19.
It's day. We don't know. It's a lot of days ok? Kerry is still working from home and we start the cast with a brisk walk. The gang talks about Elton John's performance of "I'm Still Standing", the validity of the keytar, how Kerry and Hunter are Covirresponsible. Grocery store mishaps. Cush loses a drone. Kerry dumps yet another bro. And most importantly, not one if us in enlightened in quarantine. No bros were hurt during this cast.
Cush & Hunter are starting to lose it just a little. It's been..,I mean who really knows what day it is? New day, who dis? We riff about 2 Buck Chuck, getting yelled at in the grocery store, Hunter's impatience with the lines at "The" Kreme, Chris Quomo hates his job, how somehow Covid masks makes you wonder if someone is hot (should be a Netflix) and homemade granny pantie masks. The WORLD is STILL WInning.

Due to Covid-19 it's all Wally World up in here. "Sorry folks, park's closed." Cush and Hunter are still working daily from the radio station. Non-essential Kerry is working from home, golfing and avoiding family fights over the desecration of her sister's boujee table with a soup spill. Cush doesn't know why he is not just getting naked. Hunter is obsessed with Tiger King and has unhealthy hatred of the 70's group Supertramp. The gang is looking forward to Halloween. Come for the KISS stay for the Tiger...See what we did there?
Cush & Hunter have been named "essential personnel" for the radio station. I know! Right? Kerry "I suffer" get to work from home. So non-essential. That doesn't stop Cush and Hunter from calling her in the middle of the podcast. We talk TP, weird canned food that we are eating, how the boss dressed like Hunter and our Covid-19 songs which means we jam some Ray Parker Jr. We also pray to the alter of Saint Cornholio. Patron Saint of all our Bungholes. Stay safe. No touchy! Love, Kerry, Cush and Hunter
Kerry insisted that Cush and Hunter take a Enneagram personality test to find out what's wrong with all of us. The answer: plenty. Kerry turns into Trump when pushed, Cush is the Winnie the Pooh of podcasts and Hunter, seek therapy, just not at St. Pat's parties. Somehow, we also manage to wedge in Bob Evans, a game called "stump", West Virginia, Chocolate Wondefalls and Kerry channels her inner New Yorker. Feelings are dumb. Tests are flawed. So are we...
So we are down to the final episodes of The Bachelor. Kerry invited Cush and Hunter to her abode for a Bachelor Nation viewing party. Kerry is hot for 19 Crimes labels, Cush made cracker sammies and Hunter... well, Hunter got Woo! Girl-Wasted. Bad. Crying and weird "suite love" Kerry busts out a new impersonation and her dating life. Hunter gets on a Vape Dragon and Tom Steyer tangent. Cush just doesn't watch. It also seems that Cush and Hunter aren't invited to Kerry's viewing party. Ever.
The final episode of the podcast. We throw our picks for next week. Plus Kerry opens up about her dating life. Let's just say he's a European, surfer who's Italian. What could go wrong? B-A-N-A-N-A-S.
We had to break this down into three podcasts. Way too much going on. Kerry, Cush and Hunter breakdown "the hometowns". And well Madison, well the "Fantasy Suite" yeah that's gonna be an issue. Cush, Kerry and Hunter break down the rest of this weeks' Bachelor. Only five weeks left. Is it too early for The Mandolorian to begin?
Welp. THAT was interesting. It's now week 5. Cush is grumpy. Kerry is over it. Hunter fell asleep. This week we break down the agony of Pilot Pete. Somehow we get to Avengers references, poor kissing techniques, shaman and Hunter & Cush get into a Tammy type argument. Let the pain ensue...
Welcome to the "9 Word Movie Review" with Hunter & Cush. We don't know how we even found this, but we review "Swallow" a "happy" movie where a loving wife has some disturbing eating habits. #Hork.
Load up on your Truly. Week 4 of The Bachelor. Hunter, Cush & Kerry break down this week's breakdowns. We also discuss our drunk super powers and "Love"
Hunter literally fell asleep in the studio. He doesn't sleep and may be hallucinating. Somehow a new breakfast cereal "Luke Bran" makes it's way into this.
In a world where everyone you work with is Wife'd or Husband'd up, one man stands alone. Hunter is single and clueless. He's hooked on Netflix. So when the opportunity arises to talk about "YOU" with a bartender named Dawn at Indigo Reef Brewing, things go wrong.
Welp. Put the boxed wine and Truly down, week 3 of The Bachelor is a wrap. Hunter, Cush and Kerry breakdown this week's cat fight between Sydney and Aalayah. But, most important is the mad game Chase Rice is spittin' with Victoria F. next week... Hunter & Cush still don't get why they are invested.
Welcome to Hunter & Cush "Take On The World (The World is Winning)." 2020 is off to a fantastic start. Brushfires, Iran and The Bachelor is back. Because we just can't deal with the first two, Hunter & Cush are breaking down and watching The Bachelor. Now, know that neither of them actually watch, but they do have strong opinions. So, we enlist our in-house Bachelor Expert & Digital Goddess Kerry to help us understand.
