This is the second of a 3 part series about the teenage brain, its development and how to best support our teens  with inborn errors of metabolism.

On episode 2 we will focus on self-identity and the social world.  Teens are building their self-identity and much of teen brain power is answering the question ‘who am I?” They might re-consider their condition and what it means to them. They might re-experience the first impact of their diagnosis on a more complex and painful level, resulting in un-resolved feelings.    We will discuss ways to intervene based on the science and from clinical experience.
