Migrants are often caught between being responsible for the country they reside in and the country they are a citizen of. I walked away from this conversation with a fresh new perspective on citizenship and how I, a creative migrant can participate and be a responsible citizen.

Choosing to be an expatriate comes with a lot of sacrifices; who you are, your values, your passions, your relationships, and more. Everything and everyone is involved and is affected by a simple choice of immigrating. In this conversation with Meijun Cai and Estefi Ramirez, we swapped stories of hardship and the sacrifices we made for choosing to dream or finding a home. Both these people brought a new perspective to the word sacrifice and have even changed my mind about it. Listen to the episode and let me know if they changed yours.

Being an expatriate is challenging both mentally and physically. In this episode, Irene Anggreeni and I share our struggles with mental health through our experiences. We run through multiple external factors that have played a role in our journey to find a home. Very often we have sacrificed our own mental health for a visa / a chance to find a place to grow and build a life. Listen to the complete episode and hit me up with your thoughts, comments, or violent reactions.
