25 years ago, a 12-year-old boy kept a diary. He wrote in it every single day of the year 1993. This year – 2018 – that boy is a 37-year-old man, and he's going through that diary, week by week, to see how he's different, how he's the same, and what we can learn by figuring out who we used to be.

Jedediah & Torrey go back to where it all began, for a live finale at their old high school in Morrisville, Vermont. Their friends and family are there, and many of them join them on stage to share what they've learned. And so, 1993, 2018, and the podcast… come to an end. And so: thank you. So much.

Jedediah gets the words to a song wrong and Torrey gets his mom the wrong gift. But to be honest, it’s a miracle we’re all not getting everything wrong all the time. Little Jed’s countdown to X-mas finally feels appropriate as we cross into December, with bad hair days, crappy mornings, canceled Playboys, abandoned comics, a now-cherished then-belated birthday gift, Hillary Clinton’s doomed foray into fixing America’s broken health care system, and Val Kilmer.
Jedediah’s Dad and Brother talk about sharing a birthday with each other and also with the assassination of JFK, Jedediah’s Aunt and Uncle talk about the day they got engaged and also what they ate that night, and Jedediah’s Torrey talks about gratitude and also the sorrow of the Secret of the Ooze.

Ghosts! Fear! Blood (in a video game)! Staying up way past your bedtime. Pumpkin goop! A story contest? California’s on fire!! A Goomba costume. A haunted library!! Homework IN ALL FOUR CLASSES!!! The end of TKD. A special guest!? Vandalism. Vigilantism. … Halloween.
Jedediah & Torrey wonder: if this week’s episode will be good or bad, what the D in D-Day stands for, and if Little Jed will dance with someone (Spoiler: he does!). 1993 brings us a slow dance interrupted, a very large sundial, The Good Son (Spoiler: he’s bad), Mortal Kombat, a drink with a booger in it, and a pair of letters declaring victory or defeat, depending on which pocket they were in.
Torrey tells 2 tales of mishearing embarrassment near-misses, then Jedediah leads a discussion into all the reasons a child might get 3 or 4 free games of pinball, followed by the ethics of “quarter things” and late fees. Meanwhile, in the diary, little Jed learns how to spell “throat” for once and for all, talks on the phone for a long time, hates school, does some exercises (???), and hopes he’ll dance with someone at the Homecoming Dance this weekend (!!!).
Jedediah worries he’s discovered the exact moment his dreams died. Torrey tells a story about Excel.
Jedediah tries very hard not to laugh. Torrey shares some conversation tips. A puppet show is performed, a ramp is built, a tape is played, acronyms are solved, names are called, and patrons are thanked.

Torrey’s back! :D And Jedediah’s sick. D: So put your underwear on under your boxers, grab a Walkwich, stuff some baguettes down your pants, return (or don’t) your library book, and accuse your Uncle George of knowingly buying you computer games that you already had so he could play them himself even though that’s ridiculous.
Torrey’s on vacation, so Matt steps into his pants and co-hosts this week. Jedediah & Matt talk the films of 1993, while Little Jed makes some head puppets and complaints about his summer of suck.
Sometimes you fall in love at 12, sometimes you fall in love at 46. Sometimes someone likes you and you don’t like that, sometimes you don’t like that someone you like likes someone you don’t like. And some things… never change. Notable events this week: the Great Midwest Floods of 1993, getting a Zillions (Consumer Reports for Kids), and seeing Jurassic Park again. In the present day, Torrey feels that powerful and valuable feeling guilt, and Jedediah calls his step-mother and Jeff. #whoisBarb?

It's Torrey's birthday week! In the present, Jedediah & Torrey discuss mortality, depression, Ozymandias, Oprah, and journaling by way of Gchat. But back in 1993 it was rollerblading (disappointing), presents (for which insufficient gratitude was shown), pizza (pepperoni), and staying up all night (until 6 AM). And fireworks (for America's birthday).

Meru, Achilles, and a pair of 4F-ings lead the boys into this week in 1993, where Little Jed & co. get up to their most disturbing shenanigans yet. We start off the week by wondering if Jedediah is betraying Little Jed by doing this podcast, while Torrey admits to feelings of jealousy and wonder, 25 years later. Gather round the campfire and listen to Torrey tell The Tale of the Terrible DJ. After discussing Storms and Trials (and Podcasts) of the Century, and introducing themselves thrice, the boys get into the diary where: Little Jed makes a TV, engages in self-censorship, is the most tired he has ever been, thinks the milk tastes like water, and plays a story-telling game. DISCLAIMER: We talk about masturbating in this one.
Torrey & Jedediah try to figure out “What’s the point?” by way of Kierkegaard, Quantum Leap, and carpometacarpal arthritis. A voicemail from Josey and a phone call with Matt make Jed truly question his perception of events. Torrey admits to being insufficiently thankful.

It’s Winter Break in 1993, and Little Jed isn’t dealing with it well. Torrey’s mom Sandy calls in to corroborate Torrey’s theory, and Jedediah calls his brother Josey to corroborate farts.
We finally make contact with the elusive Mrs. Waring! She gives us some insights into the mind and motivations of a 12-year-old. Joining Jedediah and Torrey for this episode is the oft-mentioned Matt, and together they tackle topics like sleepovers (which there’s a lot of talk about this week), alarm clocks (are red or blue ones more disruptive?), The Incredible Crash Dummies (the toys, not the band), Little Jed’s 12th birthday party (which happened 25 years ago today despite it being Matt’s actual birthday yesterday [Happy Birthday, Matt!]), and the surprising and salacious and unsuccessfully redacted events of that night. Back in 1993, Little Jed gets a haircut, beats TWO computer games, finishes a book, watches a Spaniel win the Westminster Dog Show, enjoys some friend-penned MacGyver comics, and wears a great (???) t-shirt. Along the way, some surprising and questionable revelations come about regarding the speed of his media consumption. Oh, and the boys call Jed’s mom a bunch.

Little Torrey makes his first appearance; modern day Torrey solves a 25-year-old rebus. And our heroes dig into a few extracurriculars – music and martial arts.
