We continue in Mark 9, with the disciples arguing about who was the greatest, and Jesus’ surprising advice about how to truly be great.
We look at Mark 9:30-32, where Jesus tells his disciples about what’s ahead. What might this short passage reveal to us about our own expectations of who we think Jesus should be?

We kick off our journey through Mark 9, with Daniel taking us through Mark 9:2-12 and prompting us to ask: who is Jesus?
We look at the image of a church as the ‘bride’, beloved and beckoned by God. As we collectively live out our identity as the ‘bride’ of Christ, how might this love overflow to those around us, and how might we beckon others to ‘Come!’ and drink the water of life?
We reflect on how the church is, and always has been, on mission. How can we be engaged in God’s mission now, cultivating a radical love for those around us?
We consider how the church is described as a priesthood in 1 Peter 2:9, and how this means we have connection, commission and community.
Candace leads us to consider how the church is, and can further be, a reflection of God's love.
Andrew prompts us to reflect on the church as ‘one body’ as described in 1 Corinthians 12.
Brent introduces the person and work of the Holy Spirit who equips and empowers the church beyond our own human strength, with some examples of how the Holy Spirit might work beyond our own intellect and capabilities today.
Brent explores the Church as a ‘temple’; a dwelling place for God, in which we are being built together with Jesus Christ as our cornerstone.
Jill leads us to reflect on how church is ‘family’, in which we have a common father, a common identity, and brothers and sisters.
We kick of our series 'Church Is...', and Brent looks at Jesus conversation with Peter in Matthew 16.
Ro continues our reflection on who God is. More than merely set of attributes or an abstract being, God is actually a ‘person’: a truly personal God who became flesh, who we can relate to intimately, and who wants intimate relationship with us.
Candace teaches on God as Protector. Through looking at stories from the Bible as well as more recent history, we reflect on God as our sanctuary, who is with us even in the darkest of places.

On Easter Sunday, or Resurrection Sunday, we celebrate that He is risen! Brent walks us through the story of Jesus’ resurrection, looking at some of the key characters and what they teach us, and what the ‘resurrection’ means for us today and for our eternal future!
On Palm Sunday Vaughan leads us to remember our King Jesus, gentle and humble while victorious, who cannot be bound by our expectations and who invites us into the joy of relationship with Him, no matter our circumstance.
We look at a topic that we would rather not talk about, but have to if we want to hear the words of Jesus and take seriously His great mission of mercy and love.
Looking at one of the many poems in Psalm 119 (119:33-40), we consider what it means to pray for God to teach us, direct us, focus our attention, and revive us in 2021.
Brent tells the story of Jesus healing the man born blind in John 9 and we reflect on what we learn about Jesus from this healing miracle. Today, when we feel like we’ve lost sight, let’s look to Jesus who comes to us not just to point out sin, but to reveal the light.
