The ST814cast covers college football, specifically Penn State Football and is hosted by Penn State alumni and State College native Chris Law. In addition talking pigskin there will also be a nice blend of pop culture and current events mixed in to show. During his time at PSU Law covered the Nittany Lions and upon graduating went on to work in professional sports, spending 5 seasons with the National Football League as a television producer. Following his time with the NFL Law spent 3 years as the producer and on-air co-host of Emmy nominated "The Rich Eisen Show", which was simulcast nationally on both TV and Radio.
Chris Law discusses the huge primetime battle in Happy Valley between #9 Penn State and #4 Ohio State. Law breaks down the heartbreaking loss for the Nittany Lions and where things went wrong for the blue and white faithful. Penn State coach James Franklin addressed the media in his postgame press conference and Law plays and reacts to some of the clips from his emotional presser.

A White Out Is Coming!!!
It's Ohio State week in Happy Valley, which means one thing for this primetime clash on ABC, a Penn State WHITE OUT! The No.9 ranked Nittany Lions welcome the No.4 ranked Buckeyes into town for what could determine who represents not only the B1G East in the conference title game, but who makes into the College Football Playoff. With stakes this high podcast host Chris Law has to bring in a heavy hitter who knows the ins-and-outs of THE Ohio State football program, and that person is none other than Albert Breer from The MMQB. Breer has been covering the NFL for the past 14 years, but his football allegiance is to his alma mater in Columbus. Law and Breer discuss and breakdown the matchup, keys to each teams success and what they think this marquee matchup could come down to in front of 110,000 fans at Beaver Stadium.

Being drafted by the Minnesota Vikings and and eventually signing with his home town New Orleans Saints. The Penn State Nittany Lions dominated the Kent State Golden Flashes in a matchup on Saturday at Beaver Stadium. Host Chris Law is back to break it all down for you and talk about a variety of things, including where the Nittany Lions need to improve if they want to make another run at a B1G Title and have a shot at the College Football Playoff. Law also has a huge announcement regarding a former Penn State All-American linebacker that will be joining him on the podcast later this week. That information alone is worth the listen, but you'll get some good info on Penn State's big win, the landscape of the B1G after a rough day overall for the conference and more.

After a long offseason and seeing one of the greatest players in PSU history in Saquon Barkley depart for the NFL, the 2018 Nittany Lion season is not only upon, but two games in and the boys back for another run for at a B1G Title and hopefully a National Championship. Also back for another season is the ST814 Podcast and yours truly, Chris Law. Year one last season was a lot of fun and we were able to get some great guests on. I'm looking forward to doing the same this season as well. On this episode Law recaps a little of the Pitt and App State games, talks a little Kent State as well as some topical CFB discussions. The podcast rounds out with a little NFL chatter too from the Keystone state with some thoughts on the defending Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles and the Pittsburgh Steelers rough start on the field in Cleveland, and off the field with their All-Pro running back Le'Veon Bell.

The latest edition of the ST814'cast is here with host Chris Law welcoming in his good pal and resident New England sports fan Chris Brockman. Yes, there is still some college football to discuss with the talent evaluation period in full swing... The Senior Bowl is underway and NFL Combine is on the horizon, but this podcast is all about the big game as we are just a week and a half out from kickoff in Minneapolis of Super Bowl LII. So why not break it all down with one of the more loveable, annoying, insightful, annoying Patriots honks out there than Chris Brockman (we kid, because we love). Law and Brockman go way back and pick up right where they left off talking about Super Bowl LII and some of the storylines surrounding the game as Law's Eagles look to bring Broad Street its first Lombardi Trophy and Brockman's Pats go for their sixth under Brady and Belichick. It’s a wide-ranging fun chat that goes off on a lot of tangents all surrounding the sports world’s biggest event. Enjoy and as always, thanks for downloading!!

We are just a little more than two weeks away from Penn State's matchup with the Washington Huskies in the Fiesta Bowl and more news has come down that the Nittany Lions could possibly be losing another one of its key coaches. Reports surfaced mid-week that Defensive Coordinator Brent Pry was the leading candidate for the University of Louisiana-Lafayette job, a place Pry coached at for 4 years in the early 2000's. Law reacts to the possibility of Penn State having to replace another top assistant and how the college football coaching carousel is something new to PSU fans after decades of stability amongst the coaching ranks in Happy Valley. Law also spotlights the Washington Huskies and some of the things fans should know about our Fiesta Bowl opponent on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball, as well as special teams . The ST814'cast wraps up with a discussion about former Penn State quarterback Christian Hackenberg with New York Daily News Jets beat reporter Manish Mehta. With Jets starting quarterback Josh McCown being placed on season ending IR, it looks like Hackenberg could see his number called sooner rather than later for gang green. Mehta adds his insight into the Jets QB situation and elaborates further on a recent sit-down he had with the former Nittany Lion signal caller about what made him so successful under Bill O'Brien. It's an interesting conversation and sheds a light as to what the future may hold for the former 51st overall pick of the 2016 NFL Draft. Enjoy and as always thanks for downloading and subscribing!

It's official, the Penn State Nittany Lions will be playing against the Washington Huskies in the Fiesta Bowl on December 30th. After a brief hiatus Chris Law is back with a new podcast discussing all things Penn State Football. A lot has transpired since the latest episode of the ST814'cast, including the departure of two key components of PSU's offensive success in OC Joe Moorehead and RB coach Charles Huff. Moorehead accepted the gig to become Miss State's head coach and Huff will follow him to be a coordinator for the Bulldogs in Starkville. That means a shake up on the PSU staff and on this edition of the ST814'cast you'll hear from head coach James Franklin about the decision to promote former Tight Ends and QB coach Ricky Rahne to Offensive Coordinator. Also discussed is the College Football Playoff selection and the committee's decision for a second year in a row to leave the B1G champion out of the Playoff. Plenty more to tackle on the next few editions of the podcast as well while we prep for the big bowl game in Glendale...and with hoops season getting underway we'll also be talking some Men's basketball too. On the latest edition of the ST814'cast host Chris Law goes back through the Nittany Lions contest with the Scarlet Knights and talks (12:50) about one of the more hot button topics as it relates to Penn State Football after former University of Miami standout and NFL Pro Bowler Jonathan Vilma's comments about the PSU offense having a "tell" as it pertains to its play calls. You'll hear Vilma's (14:25) comments directly, as well as those of Penn State head coach James Franklin (21:44) when he addressed the matter at his weekly Tuesday press conference. Law is then joined by Penn State cornerback Amani Oruwariye (29:02) for a discussion about where the teams is at following two tough road losses and a home win... What went down at that "players only meeting" (30:44) following the Ohio State loss... Holding Rutgers to a PSU record (31:44) low 43 yards passing... Preparing for Nebraska and what he's seen on tape... and a whole lot more. The podcast finishes out with Law giving you the, albeit longshot, scenario it would take for Penn State to find their way into the CFB Playoffs (43:25) as the No.4 seed. Heartbreak in Columbus for the Nittany Lions as they see an 11 point lead slip away in the final 5 minutes and change of the 4th quarter versus the Buckeyes. Chris Law decided to gather the troops and do an emergency postgame podcast as an almost therapy session to deal with his emotions following the late game loss. Joining Law on the ST814cast is former NFL scout and current NFL Media analyst Daniel Jeremiah who discusses with Law some of the NFL caliber talent Ohio State displayed on their defensive line and if he thinks this is still Saquon Barkley's Heisman to lose. Following that chat Law dials up The MMQB's Albert Breer, who is a graduate of Ohio State, to congratulate him on the victory and get his perspective on game from the Buckeye side.
