The ST814cast covers college football, specifically Penn State Football and is hosted by Penn State alumni and State College native Chris Law. In addition talking pigskin there will also be a nice blend of pop culture and current events mixed in to show. During his time at PSU Law covered the Nittany Lions and upon graduating went on to work in professional sports, spending 5 seasons with the National Football League as a television producer. Following his time with the NFL Law spent 3 years as the producer and on-air co-host of Emmy nominated "The Rich Eisen Show", which was simulcast nationally on both TV and Radio.

It's Ohio State week in Happy Valley, which means one thing for this primetime clash on ABC, a Penn State WHITE OUT! The No.9 ranked Nittany Lions welcome the No.4 ranked Buckeyes into town for what could determine who represents not only the B1G East in the conference title game, but who makes into the College Football Playoff. After a long offseason and seeing one of the greatest players in PSU history in Saquon Barkley depart for the NFL, the 2018 Nittany Lion season is not only upon, but two games in and the boys back for another run for at a B1G Title and hopefully a National Championship. Also back for another season is the ST814 Podcast and yours truly, Chris Law. Year one last season was a lot of fun and we were able to get some great guests on. I'm looking forward to doing the same this season as well. On this episode Law recaps a little of the Pitt and App State games, talks a little Kent State as well as some topical CFB discussions. We are just a little more than two weeks away from Penn State's matchup with the Washington Huskies in the Fiesta Bowl and more news has come down that the Nittany Lions could possibly be losing another one of its key coaches. Reports surfaced mid-week that Defensive Coordinator Brent Pry was the leading candidate for the University of Louisiana-Lafayette job, a place Pry coached at for 4 years in the early 2000's. Law reacts to the possibility of Penn State having to replace another top assistant and how the college football coaching carousel is something new to PSU fans after decades of stability amongst the coaching ranks in Happy Valley. Law also spotlights the Washington Huskies and some of the things fans should know about our Fiesta Bowl opponent on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball, as well as special teams . The ST814'cast wraps up with a discussion about former Penn State quarterback Christian Hackenberg with New York Daily News Jets beat reporter Manish Mehta. With Jets starting quarterback Josh McCown being placed on season ending IR, it looks like Hackenberg could see his number called sooner rather than later for gang green. Mehta adds his insight into the Jets QB situation and elaborates further on a recent sit-down he had with the former Nittany Lion signal caller about what made him so successful under Bill O'Brien. It's official, the Penn State Nittany Lions will be playing against the Washington Huskies in the Fiesta Bowl on December 30th. After a brief hiatus Chris Law is back with a new podcast discussing all things Penn State Football. A lot has transpired since the latest episode of the ST814'cast, including the departure of two key components of PSU's offensive success in OC Joe Moorehead and RB coach Charles Huff. Moorehead accepted the gig to become Miss State's head coach and Huff will follow him to be a coordinator for the Bulldogs in Starkville. That means a shake up on the PSU staff and on this edition of the ST814'cast you'll hear from head coach James Franklin about the decision to promote former Tight Ends and QB coach Ricky Rahne to Offensive Coordinator. Also discussed is the College Football Playoff selection and the committee's decision for a second year in a row to leave the B1G champion out of the Playoff. Heartbreak in Columbus for the Nittany Lions as they see an 11 point lead slip away in the final 5 minutes and change of the 4th quarter versus the Buckeyes. Chris Law decided to gather the troops and do an emergency postgame podcast as an almost therapy session to deal with his emotions following the late game loss. Chris Law is joined on this episode by former Penn State Nittany Lion cornerback Adam Taliaferro, whose career came to an end at "The Shoe" in Columbus 17 years ago versus the Buckeyes. Taliaferro recalls the series of events leading up to that game his freshman year in 2000, as well as the aftermath of being paralyzed from the neck down and given a 3% chance to walk again by doctors following his initial surgery. The resilience and positivity that eventually helped will Taliaferro to walk again is evident and shines throughout the podcast as he goes through his recovery and talks about those in his life that helped him to get to where he is today.
