There are few couples that I know that often share that they don't think marriage is hard. The recognize that life has challenges but they have set a foundation in place that has prepared them to face whatever it is life throws at them together!

Somes times we allow society’s vision of success to distract us from what God has called us to do!
We have to ask ourselves what God is calling you to do in this season
Stephanie Ike said our culture has become so obsessed with Purpose that they are forgetting the pre requisite which is intimacy with Christ
Work - We need to stop allowing our identity to be found in our work
Money - We need to trust God to be our daily provider
Fame - We have to realize that being known isn't a priority, bringing God glory is our only goal
Comfort -Sometime God uses uncomfortable situations to allow us to bring him the most glory!

New living translation:

Definition of Distraction: According to the Oxford dictionary a distraction is a thing that prevents someone from concentrating.
Examples of Distractions: Noise, Active conversations, Information overload, Cell phone use, Mind wandering, physiological discomfort ( when we are physically in pain it’s hard to focus), Fatigue ( are you taking the necessary time to rest/pause) , Lack of maintenance ( are you investing in the thing/ things you are supposed to focus on ), Weather, Looking for irrelevant objects, Automobiles ( counting cars), inability to focus due to personal stress.
Main Points of Encouragement:
- It.’s okay to begin again no matter how many times you had to before ( fall down seven, get up eight).
- We must stop allowing our circumstances to dictate how/ when we show up to the thing God has purposed us to do or called us to focus on. (this is a season for some people to pull and also a season for some people launch forward).
- Always invite holy spirit into the journey and the decision-making process. Our eyes must always be fixed on Christ. Everything we do should point back to giving God glory as his disciples here on earth.

The Bible tells us to seek Christ first but as believers that isn't always easy. because at times, distractions get in the way. One of the things that distracts me from trusting God's plan is my IMAGINATION of how much better I think something can be!

Leah got this, but also ended up in a loveless marriage, she seemingly got everything she wanted but still had to set aside her idols of marriage, children, and family, and set her sights on higher things than her circumstances.

Whether we ever go to therapy or not because we live in an imperfect world and interact with imperfect people we all will have hard moments eventually or experience some level of trauma, ….but we find that when life is negatively impacted by circumstances or events therapy or counseling is a good option to help us process.

Why I go to therapy
A therapist is like a translator of your emotions
It’s the why behind the why
When something makes you upset our first and easier reaction is this person is bad and if they didn’t do it I wouldn’t have been upset.
While there is truth in that statement there is often another truth to that statement.
Or As a believer God didn’t allow it to go the way I wanted it to go and he should have.
That’s where and understanding of God comes in,
Why did it evoke that emotion in you and therapy helps you to answer those questions
So 3 Breakthrough Moments
- Anxiety is living in the future depression is living in the past
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;
Philippians 4:6-7
- Our attachment styles help us to understand how we currently interact in relationships
Consistent affirmation is needed, they are needy
“We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do. We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ.”

- Healthy and secure people know that there is pain, they acknowledge and allow themselves to feel the pain but they don’t internalize the pain, they don’t make the pain about them. Their actions are not motivated by trauma and pain

Introduction: Main Points:
- What is Church Hurt? In Greek the word church comes from the words Kaleo (meaning to call) and is prefixed with et (meaning out). Therefore, in Greek it means to call out. In Hebrew Church means Assembly. However, the English word church actually comes from the word Kuriakon meaning dedicated to the Lord.
In the context of today’s episode when we refer to the “church” we will be talking about the body of believers who gather.
Hurt is defined as causing pain or injury.
Quote on Church Hurt by Stephen Mansfield:
“The Confirmation of History is that we are not called despite our wounding and betrayal; we are wounded and betrayed because we are called.” Our wounds are pain put us in position to testify of how God allowed us to overcome.
Keys to Dealing with Church Hurt.
- Acknowledge that you are hurt.
- Talk to the person or persons who hurt you to resolve the matter
- If the matter isn’t resolved carry unbiased believers with you to try and win your brother/ sister over.
- Forgive and give grace.

- If imperfect people gather pain or disagreements are inevitable… it’s what you do during pain or disagreements that makes the difference.
Conclusion:
When experiencing church hurt, we never want to dismiss the fact that the pain you feel is real. It’s okay to be angry about it, but don’t sin, it’s okay to process what happened to you and seek wise counsel, but don’t gossip and sow seeds of discord, it’s okay to find a different church family, but don’t bash and belittle the church family you once called home. There is always a way to show honor and give grace because as believers we are called to take the high road. While it is not okay to stay in abusive or toxic environments it’s necessary to forgive.

People won't come to Christ out of fear tactics they need to understand the relationship behind your faith
Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it. But do this in a gentle and respectful way.

- Religion says I have to do it in a church
Relationship with God understands that God is omnipresent so I can pray to God anywhere have a conversation with God anywhere
On the beach when I wasn’t chosen for a Grant
- Religion I depend on leaders ONLY to give me revelation of the word and the way God wants to work in my life
Relationship I understand omniscience that God is all knowing and if the Holy Spirit lives in me, and I never sit still enough to hear what The holy spirit is saying, lines up with the word of God.
- Religion I try to follow all the rules.
Relationship Omnibenevolence I follow God because I love him, A God who is all knowing,
How to Spread the Gospel without a Track.
- Invite Someone to a LIVE/ Small group/ Virtual Church
- When someone is going through a rough time offer to pray for them. Or just send a prayer to them when you are thinking about them. New Year’s prayer
- Volunteer for Mission outreach with your church or do your own. We do Mission Mondays
- Live Set Apart - How to live a life not filled with judgement but with love, Be known as a giver, seek to create peace and Harmony, be a giver

We love self expression, however can this form of expression with Tatoos be outside of the will of God. What does the Bible Say? “Don’t gash your bodies on behalf of the dead. “Don’t tattoo yourselves. I am God.” Leviticus 19:28 MSG The Canaanites would customarily slash their bodies for ritualistic purposes, especially to mourn their dead and honor their gods Romans 12:1 Therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your spiritual worship Why do you want Tattoo? What is your motive for the Tattoo 1 Corinthians 10:31 31 So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. What is the meaning of the Tattoo? However, this does bring us to 1 Corinthians 10:23: “‘I have the right to do anything,’ you say —but not everything is beneficial. ‘I have the right to do anything’— but not everything is constructive.” What is the Holy Spirit saying to you? What should I do now If I already have tattoos that I am now convicted about? Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! 2nd Corinthians 5:17 John 7:24 “Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgement."

The practice of waiting for Marriage to have sex can be very overwhelming and even as believers there has been a lot of debate on whether Christians should wait on not
Reasons Christians say waiting isn't worth it
- I can get married and have a horrible sex experience
- If I make a commitment to God and this person to be together for life why does the Government have to get involved
- What if I never get married, I’m just suppose to never have sex
- A lot of other Christians have sex and get married and have Christian marriages and stay together for life, I don’t understand why I’m being asked to do it differently and vice versa
- I want a kid and I’m not going to marry someone just because I want one so I’m going to have one.

- Sex is good and was designed by God for a specific purpose (The container of marriage)

Smoking Marijuana is a vastly controversial topic amongst believers, but as believers we must always use wisdom in looking at the research and scripture behind what we do and believe. As a disclaimer I have never smoked weed, but being in a relationship with someone who as smoked week has provided me with a level of insight backed with research and scripture that I will share with you today. The discussion on this topic is in no way to tell you whether or not you should smoke weed as a Christian, but share information that would help make your own decision f this is something you are questioning.

- It was used in the Bible as a preventative for not getting sick,
“Don’t drink only water. You ought to drink a little wine for the sake of your stomach because you are sick so often.”

The reasons believers advocate against it
Proverbs 20:1 Wine is mocker, strong drink a brawler, and whoever is intoxicated by it is not wise.
- How do you know what is too much?
1 Peter 5:8, "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour."
- How are you sure it won’t cause your brother or sister to stumble
And likewise, if someone you are with struggles with the temptation to overindulge in alcohol, it may be best for you to refrain from drinking any alcohol in their presence: "It is good not to eat meat or drink wine or do anything that causes your brother to stumble" (Romans 14:21).
- What happens when you use it as soother or escape life instead of running to Christ
Proverbs 23:31 says “Look not upon the wine when it is red, “ a drink which brings “woe sorrow, babbling, and wounds” (Proverbs 23:29). A drink which is deceptive (Proverbs 20:1), a drink which perverts the judgment causing tine eyes to behold strange women and thine heart to utter strange things (Proverbs 23:32-33).
So is it a Sin - No
Do I personally Drink? I don’t
Should Christians be able to DRINK? - It depends, consult with the Holy Spirit after meditating on the above versus.
Conclusion:
Things may be permissible but are they beneficial?

Have you ever been in a situation that caught you by surprise? One that just rocked your world or shook your confidence?
Our repeat guest Rachel McDermott, Founder of Mom Warrior Ministries, wife, mom, daughter of The King and a proud “daddy’s girl”, shares with us one of her many split rock moments where her dad, her hero, her everything, tried to commit suicide. This God encounter pushed her into deeper with Christ, The solid Rock!

For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, but worldly grief produces death.
Ways to help those navigating suicide:

Note and address changes in appetite, mood, sleep or “regular behavior” with compassion.

Seek help personal help from others outside of yourself and or professional help.

Seek God’s guidance and obey the Holy Spirit’s prompting to seek help.

Three foundational Red flags in friendships
Jealousy-
Do you have friends who are always comparing...do they always try to one up you? Do they covet what you have? Show signs that they are never happy when you succeed?
Unable to be Honest with you -
Do you have a bunch of “ yes men” around you? Or people who are too afraid to tell you the truth?
We need honest genuine friends in our lives (even when it's hard to hear the truth) .
Again Proverbs 27:6 states “Faithful are the wounds of a friend who corrects out of love and concern, but the kisses of an enemy are decitful because they serve a hidden agenda.
They are not trustworthy-
Trust is the foundation of any relationship. Although we are talking about friendships one of the things Dr.Henry Cloud and Dr.John Townsend said in their book “Boundaries in dating” Is that without trust there is no relationship.
Can you trust them with the real you ?
Evaluate how you show up in your friendships and if you identified a friendship with one or more of these red flags communicate with your friend, give them an opportunity to change the behavior, and don't be your own foe evaluate, communicate, and ask holy spirit for wisdom on how you should navigate your journey.

A lot of us believe in our hearts that we have "earned" the right for Him to bless us with certain things and it's simply not true. Nothing we have, we've earned! NOTHING!!

What is Grace ?
It is understood by Christians to be a spontaneous gift from God to people – "generous, free and totally unexpected and undeserved" – that takes the form of divine favor, love, clemency, and a share in the divine life of God.
The bottom line of the Gospel is that most of us have to hit some kind of bottom before we even start the real spiritual journey. Up to that point, it is mostly religion.
What does the Bible say about Grace?
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

Why is it so hard for us to understand and operate in Grace as Christians ?

- Guide or No Guide - Learned more, I had more peace, More Joy, Greater results
Grace is a person - It’s not a license to sin it’s the reason I run from it.
- Me on the floor in a fetal position - God loves me too much to want this for me
- I love him, i don’t always understand him, i don’t always like his choices, there a lot things I would have done differently but everything in me trust that walking with him has more peace and joy.
- Fire in the wild is dangerous, fire in a fireplace is beautiful and warm!

How to Receive Love
Love - A Deep affection for someone
a gentle feeling of fondness or liking.
Love is patient, Love is kind, Love rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Living by the wrong definition
- Love is a CHOICE Not a feeling
Practical when a situation doesn’t go your way, ask God what do you want to show me, teach me, or help me see in this moment.
- Love gives you what you need not always what you want
“Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me.”

Truth - I’m fueling what’s going to cultivate self control, humility, patience
Practical - When your at a crossroad ask yourself, why am I making this decision
At the heart of witchcraft is the desire to know the future and control events that are not ours to control. Those abilities belong only to the Lord. This desire has its roots in Satan’s first temptation to Eve: “You can be like God” - Genesis 3:5
- Love requires TRUST
I don’t trust someone I don’t know, when I haven’t talked to you for a long time on an intimate level
- Love requires Patience
Why did you make me go through this. Your character is building in the delay

Love is not innate to me, Lust is so unless I learn and understand how to receive the love of God then I can’t give it to others
It’s like being in school and the teacher saying explain what I taught to the class and you weren’t listening. We have to spend time with God to know how to receive love from God and to love others.

Busy and distracted- I could be successful and miss what God wants to do in my life because the enemy has me “Booked and Busy” and distracted by the life I always wanted.
Martha was distracted - If the enemy can keep you distracted, he keeps you from filling the craving
Because if you ever really fill the craving with Christ you would know the other things you're chasing have been a lie
Why and How is accepting God going to Fill me. I’ve tried Jesus and I still had a craving for other things.
You have to train your pallet how to eat. Life is a metaphor
Worried and Anxious about so many things.
let the main thing be the main thing.
The craving is for God, not anything else
When I’m thirsty my craving is actually for water even though 9 times out of 10 I drink something else that has been made to taste better
The more water you drink the more it flushes out the toxins the more you crave it.

There is a required process to travel to a new destination, this process is usually where we find out everything Can't go, in fact we only pack a few things in our luggage, due the things that can't go. So what destinations have you delayed, because you refuse to let some things go?
- Disbelief can’t go
- Fear can’t go
- Certain people can’t go
- Certain mindsets can’t go
The minute the Israelites knew it wasn’t a smooth flight to leave their trust in the word was gone.
Too accessible - to things and people that you need to let go of

The purpose of a Miracle - Is not for life to finally go your way and you get everything you want. The purpose of a Miracle is to increase your TRUST in God
Isaiah 55: 8-9 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord.
“As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts
If everything was easy and went your way you wouldn’t understand that the orchestration of everything was due to God.
You can’t have a SUDDENLY breakthrough without SUDDENLY Faith
Sometimes God waits until the very last minute because he knows if you had time You would try to figure out the outcome yourself
Walking with God - If we wait on a person, an opportunity we will feel stagnant. But if we continue walking with God. We will feel peace and movement and we begin to develop the faith to trust him for the outcome not our personal desire.
When we do this he brings back to us
The secret sauce is to let it go. Doing it with Christ means letting it go and letting him control, How he does it.
- Disappointment doesn’t mean a closed door ( He told them to turn back)
- Partial Obedience is disobedience be keen to every instruction
- Every time you are tempted to worry or complain choose to praise (Praise helps me to seek God for strategy) - Moses use what’s in your hand
- Don’t loose FOCUS on God - You won’t be able to figure it out cause a lot times he’s doing something you never saw done before

When you have held hope for so long and haven't seen an awaited vision or dream come to pass, your heart can become sick. However religion makes us feel ashamed of a sick heart and in this episode I want to give you permission to be real about what you feel.
Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life. Proverbs 13:12.

There is a difference between hope and optimism. Optimism is the belief that things will turn out well, or go our way. Hope means believing that while everything that happens to us might not be good, the experiences that challenge us are ultimately for our good and growth. Hope involves the courage to keep putting one foot in front of the other. Hope is about resilience. Optimism is found in our thoughts and our self-talk. Hope is a deeper state of being.

Our eternal life is in heaven. On earth we live with the consequences of sin, aging, disease, addictions, death, poor choices, betrayal from others, and so on. And thus, we experience pain, loss, illness, death, disappointment, divorce, abuse, and other heartbreaking situations.

A Chinese bamboo tree takes five years to grow. It has to be watered and fertilized in the ground where it has been planted every day. It doesn't break through the ground for five years. After five years, once it breaks through the ground, it will grow 90 feet tall in five weeks!

Having joy includes feeling good cheer and a vibrant happiness. But joy, in its fuller, spiritual meaning of expressing God's goodness, involves more. It is a deep-rooted, inspired happiness
Inspired means it doesn’t just happen.
Inspire means to excite, encourage, or breathe life into. Inspire comes from the Latin word that means to inflame or to blow in to. When you inspire something, it is as if you are blowing air over a low flame to make it grow
The term happiness comes from the Old Norse term happ meaning “luck” or “chance.”,

Happiness depends on a situation Joy is a choice and it internal. The world didn’t give and the world can take it away

In our microwave, positive thinking, prosperity age, sometimes makes some of us believe if we want something we can just manifest it, or once I want something bad enough, I can just ask God and receive it.

- The scripture is encouraging us to not make one move without Christ aid (lack of peace)
Ask - Prayer
Seek - the heart of God. Seek ye first the kingdom of God Matthew 6:33
Knock - Do the work - Persistent Action
The semicolon tells us that they are two or more ideas in a sentence but also that these ideas are equal to rank. Meaning they go together
- Seek is the glue( this is the part we ignore when we don’t give God thanks for answered prayers and this is the part we don’t examine when we don’t get our own way.
Reflect the heart of God and God’s will for my life it’s is pointless and null and void
James 4:3
When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.
How do I know if my motives are wrong, a good indicator is; are you anxious? If you are, ask yourself a series of why’s until you get to the root of your decision.
If my true motive is I’m seeking to do the will of God then you will also be ok with God’s timing and his way.
We ask with pure motives but God’s will still don’t feel like it’s Good
- God’s thoughts are not our thoughts
When you Ask, Seek, Knock in the will of God his grace brings blessings and favor into your life.
God is sovereign supreme and mighty we are servants that see the manifestation of Christ when we are submitted to his will! 🙌🏽

Have you ever watched someone from afar and just knew that there is greatness with their name on it? This is exactly how I felt when I first saw Nyisha compete in Miss Bahamas as Miss UB. Little did I know, before ever competing Nyisha felt she received a promise from God that she would one day represent the Bahamas internationally as Miss Bahamas. However year after year, system after system she was unsuccessful.

Brinard had very humble beginnings, growing up his dad wasn't in his life, but he was always determined that he would be a man who followed the call of God in his life. Having to walk away from a job, choosing purity and wanting to cherish those moments in a God-ordained marriage and continuing to take leaps of sowing thousands into a God-given idea, that he constantly tried to run from. In 2021 he was finally obedient to launch the God-given idea of the Grand Bahama Prayer Summit but then could not physically attend as he was diagnosed with COVID-19. Through the trials, he has consistently seen the hand of God on his life and knows there is so much more for him to do!

Phillip grew up in a Christain home, his father was a Pastor, and he admired his parents' love for God. In life, we are often searching for the destination that will bring us the most joy, the most relaxation, and overall the most comfort. However, we learn in the story of David. In 2 Samuel 11:1- That choosing comfort over obedience can lead to a devastating path. We do not need to fear the uncomfortable valleys because in life either we win or we learn.
2 Samuel: 11:1-
The three points I want you to remember is
- What is your definition of Winning? There is nothing or no one that can bring you joy like Christ. Your why has to be bigger than you, so we have to be willing to choose obedience over comfort!
- Are I depending on God? - I believe God is often looking at us making decisions and wondering"At what point are you going to stop and ask me if this is a good idea?"
There were so many times David could have stopped and ask God a question.
- Should I call her?
- Should I sleep with her?
- Should I bring him home?
- Should I get him to sleep with her?
- Should I send him back to fight?
3. Am I following God’s plan or my plan - Have you ever had a vision for how something would turn out, but God had another plan, and it turned out so much better
Today's lesson is a reminder for us to choose to see uncomfortable situations as birthing grounds for the purpose God has for us!
We often don't use the words stronger and Love in the same sentence. However, if we took some time to look at love characteristics that don't only focus on sunshine and roses, we will realize that love was designed to help us grow.

1. Love is multifaceted
Loveexists in so many ways outside of romantic love. If we close ourselves off to only waiting for romantic love, we will miss out on so many growth and fulfillment opportunities.

2. Love is painful
The truth is when you give yourself up to love someone unconditionally, pain is inevitable. You will disagree, you will disappoint, and you will experience hurt. It's the risk God took when he gave us His only son, and we disappoint him every day. It's the same kind of love he wants us to display.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
Someone dies -
I can only love someone to the degree that I love myself, so I wouldn’t want someone to call me out on destructive behavior.
3. Love Takes Courage
It may be rejected, not valued, or received in a different way than you perceived it would be, but it doesn't mean you shouldn't give it. When you give love, you may not even receive it in return from the person you wanted to experience love with, but you have to trust God for him to bring love to you.

“We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world.”

Suppose I live like Jesus, then I have to love like Jesus. The reason we’re not stronger is that we’re reading the wrong manual; when we follow Christ, this is what we signed up for. 10% of happiness depends on external circumstances and 90% is on perceptions. How we see the world
David was on the run for 15 years before he became King, whether He knew it or not this journey was making him stronger.
When we are in a waiting season we have to remember that God could be doing one or more of these things.
- Stretching your capacity - He is building up your ability to lead, to create, or even to have the stamina to perform, this time is not random or in vain it's stretching you.
- Building your character - When you are under pressure. The real you comes out. God is helping you to have the integrity to stand firm even when the blessings come pouring out.
- Restoring your Strength - in order to walk into everything God has for you and to hold on to it, you must walk boldly and confidently in the role. You must be able to say, no God has prepared me for this and in this season he is filling me up so that I can know who I can trust.

- She made what was important to her a priority - Proverbs 31:18- Study the market, Network & Collaborate (Brand Lovers)- Go where your customers are, & Implement Strategies to gain more traction
Proverbs 31:18: She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night.
- She wrote down the vision/ goals Proverbs 31:21 - Where there is no vision the people will perish
Proverbs 31:21When it snows, she has no fear for her household; for all of them are clothed in scarlet.
3.She audited her daily routine to identify distractions and laziness - Proverbs 31: 27
Proverbs 31:27 She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.
- She planned, organized, and delegated Proverbs 31:15
Proverbs 31:15 - She gets up before dawn to prepare breakfast for her household and plan the day’s work for her servant girls.

My word last year was "abundance"
God grew the business

In this upcoming year, I'm believing and trusting God to build my life

Why we need to learn the power in saying NO!
“You say, “I am allowed to do anything” —but not everything is good for you. You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is beneficial. Don’t be concerned for your own good but for the good of others.”

I wasn’t sleeping
I wasn’t eating proper meals
Taking Vitamins
Why can’t you say NO
Is It’s a form of validation, we don’t want to let someone down.
Are you flirting with pleasing an idol?
- Money
- Fame - known (Status)
- Lust - Strong desire for something
- Power
- Success
Signs that you NEED to say NO to something:
- You are overwhelmed, overworked and TIRED
- You are missing out on the possibility of a God-ordained yes
- You are taking the opportunity away from someone who can serve them better
How do I learn to say No Practically?
- Refer someone else for the opportunity
- CLARITY- Get clear on what God has called me to, what does that look like sitting still. In your quiet time and journaling what he has asked you to do. Listen to What is my Spiritual Brand. Anything that doesn’t align with that vision you say NO to it.
- It’s never answering someone right away giving yourself time to pray and process the request.
- Don’t ignore the lack of peace
- Schedule a time that you would engage in certain activities and set boundaries that allow people to only book you during that time.

A brand is an identifying symbol, mark, logo, name, word, and/or sentence that companies use to distinguish their product from others
Genesis 1:27 - God created us in his own image male and female.
- God is a Spiritual Being
- We were made to look like him, spiritually
- So what essence of his spirit did he call you specifically to reflect on earth?
That’s what we are going to talk about today
Why not call it your purpose - I believe our purpose on earth is to bring others to Christ.

Today we had our second guest and first international guest: Cody Byrns.
Cody's team connected with us due to our similar interest and after a virtual meeting, we both thought it would be awesome to share our stories on each other's podcasts. Therefore I couldn't think of a better way to conclude our series GOALD. Today we get to have a talk with a man of God who has literally been tried by Fire.
In 2013, Cody experienced a terrible car accident where he was considered dead until first responders saw his hand move. He had multiple injuries and 40% of his body was completely burned, after years of surgeries and rehabilitation Cody chose to transform his experience to help others maximize their potential by finding a sense of purpose and accomplishment.
Today we dive a little deeper into Cody's story where he shares how he overcame insecurities, how his faith served as a foundation when his world came crashing down and how his community and FAITH in God helped him to overcome.
Cody drops so many nuggets of wisdom in this episode, but the one we definitely had to share was the acronym for EPIC!

Fasting draws us closer to God and helps us to become more like Christ
God encourages us to Fast so that we can also hear Him more clearly. Denying ourselves of something in order to become closer to Him and who he is calling us to be!
- Hear him more clearly
- Grow in intimacy
- Grow in Trust
So in this episode, we asked ourselves 4 questions:
- When should I fast ?- Whenever God is leading you. If you are seeking clarity on an issue. If you are believing God for something and he is instructed you to hear from him.
- Why Do we fast? - A fast is designed to help us to hear from God, not to change God’s mind
- What should you Fast ?- whatever God is directing only liquids, Food, it can be other things. I gave up Social Media several times. It forced me more into communion with God - Football and Miss Grand Bahama
- How does Fasting change your life?

In our efforts to real our GOAL of being purified like GOLD, we tend to do go through periods of feeling overwhelmed, tired, and frustrated. In those situations, it's so important to Run to the Father, especially when that wearyness is being birthed our of us trying to please God with works instead of our heart.

The story of Martha and Mary welcoming Jesus into their home, we see that Jesus said that Mary made the better choice by choosing not to work and sit at his feet.

How do we fight off the temptations that try to distract us from achieving our GOAL of becoming more like Christ (Gold)?
We know it's not as easy as it sounds, as Samson was called to be a Judge in Israel, yet over and over he allowed temptations to rule his life.
Here are 3 ways we can FIGHT our temptations:
- Guard your Gates - Watch what you allow your eyes and ears to be exposed to

"The eye is the lamp of the body. You draw light into your body through your eyes, and light shines out to the world through your eyes. So if your eye is well and shows you what is true, then your whole body will be filled with light. 23 But if your eye is clouded or evil, then your body will be filled with evil and dark clouds. And the darkness that takes over the body of a child of God who has gone astray—that is the deepest, darkest darkness there is"
- Guard your Heart/ Mind - The Amount of time you invest in someone or something

GOAL + GOLD = GOALD
If we are honest when we think about our goals in life, they are often self-centered goals. We tend to say, "My goal is to one day get married, one day have children, one day make seven figures," and these goals aren't bad goals, they are good things. However, when we don't submit these goals to Christ, we tend to miss the mark when it comes to following Him indeed. Our main goal should always be for God to purify our hearts like GOLD and to make us more like him. We should find peace in permitting him to LORD over our life and decide which burdens and which blessings will shape us into who He called us to be.
Therefore this series helps us to press towards a GOAL for Christ to purify our hearts like GOLD!
Our text is - John 8 1-11 - A Woman Caught in Adultery.
How do we know if we are living self- righteous like the religious leaders and Pharassies that brought this woman before Jesus:
- We compare our walk to others instead of comparing our lives to Jesus Christ.

We understand the law, but we don’t understand love.

1 Samuel 15:22 to obey is better than sacrifice.

Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

We don’t identify and repent of our covert sins(Sins that are not as easy to see) - Search my heart

If you too have done any of these sins, confess along with me, as I ask God forgiveness for these things:
- I have cast judgment.
- I have gotten mad at God because he gave someone who "appeared" less deserving, something I wanted
- I have watched more Netflix then I have studied the word.
- I have gossiped about people I should have forgiven or shown grace or love.
- I have begged God to bless me with idols because of my works.

Today we have our FIRST GUEST: Mrs. Crystal Adderley, Crystal's testimony caught my attention when I heard her husbands vows on Facebook:

Before hearing these vows became apart of Crystal's reality she went through a 10-year process of singleness with God. She was Single, Mid-30's & Content at 36 when she and Tavaris began dating. God accelerated their journey and turned her process into a beautiful story.

The highs and lows of singleness and learning to walk with God and falling in love with Christ unconditionally. How many times have you tried to work towards a dream or vision God has given you. I have tried so many times and still didn’t get the I hoped for, today we are reminded to continue to try again, but this time with God in the boat.
Luke 5: 1-11
Jesus told Peter to push out his boat. Then he asked Peter to go deeper to catch some fish. Peter said he spent all night trying and caught nothing but told God if you say so, I’ll try again.
This time Peter and his friends caught so many fish, their nets were about to break. They were in awe of being the presence of God. When they landed to shore, they left everything they had and began to follow Jesus.
Today we encouraged to try Again by focusing on the four below points:

The Prodigal Son: Luke 15: 11-32
So often a lot of us struggle with discontentment and it's often because our life looks nothing like we thought it would look like. Today Kerel breaks down how she related to the brother in the Prodigal Son's story that stayed. The brother who became angry because the father celebrated with the son who had returned home. If you have ever related to the brother who remained faithful, who served and never physically strayed away, here are some points below that may help you to understand why you are still struggling with discontentment.

We've missed the point- Our relationship with God isn't about what we can get, it's about who can we tell about His goodness

We're focusing on works more than Grace - God's Grace is the only reason we are currently so blessed!

We must stop talking to everyone else except God - Run to the Father!

We don’t know how blessed we are - Why don’t we know that we have access to everything? It's probably because we haven’t really "stayed" with Christ. Our body is with Christ but our hearts are far away - Luke 15:31
1 Samuel 16: 7 People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.

I was the little girl who dreamed of one day getting married at 21, having two children, a white picket fence and a dog. The relationships of my 20's proved that this wasn't about to be my reality.
In 2013, I felt God tug on my heart when he asked me to NOT date for a year. I agreed while secretly hoping that once the year was done, my husband would be here. I was wrong, so I started chasing a career, and then I got LET GO from my new fancy job! God was stripping me and teaching me how to love him solely. I still didn't fully understand it!
So he blessed me with the last seven years. Seven years that I spent growing, struggling, crying, and transforming into the woman God has called me to be. During COVID- 19, God taught me what it meant to love him with my whole heart and asked me to open up my heart to trust him with my timing. He asked me to wholeheartedly believe that every promise he has given me is true.
Like Israelites who walked around the wall seven times and then started shouting, God reassured me that this is my season to shout! Shout in faith even before I see it, capture the peace that no matter the situation when I'm walking with Christ, that this still is a beautiful season. Shout and encourage others on a similar journey. That's how we got here, the very first episode of The Royal Access, this level of consistency is completely foreign to me, but I'm so glad God chose me!
