MAN IN THE MIRROR is continuing our book club. We've been reading and discussing Don Wood's book THE GOOD WORK. Don is coming on monthly to discuss this bestseller. In tonight's episode, we will be discussing chapter 7 "The Good Works Builds Trust."
"The gap between a man and God is not something a man can close. Like the Grand Canyon, the chasm separated us from Him. The gap is the result of my sin--my dysfunctional attitude and lack of trust, my evil desires, my faulty understanding of who He is, and my failure of realizing the enormity of my sin in His sight and the price that was paid to free me. It is also the result of my ignorance of what constitutes the great righteousness of God, which would reveal the depth of His indescribable love for me."

"I waved the white flag. God revealed to me the depth of my sin. At first, I felt awful and hopeless, but when I looked in the commandments, I came to the realization that God wanted to help me to have the right attitude and relationship with Him so that I could be free. There's no formula that can explain the mysteries of God's life-changing power. So, as we make our feeble attempt to surrender and reach out to His word, He takes it from there. "

It's giving Him the command of our ship when you want to tighten your grip on the wheel. We're in the middle of a Pandemic, we have vaccines, there are still plenty of people unemployed, yet, we're expected to still praise God in the middle of all this. What did David mean when he said, I will bless the Lord at all times, His praise shall be continually on my mouth, Psalms 24:1" Are you able to praise him right now, even in the midst of this storm, or whatever storm that you're going through. All Zoomed out, bills, children acting up because they are home all the time and tired of virtual school and having issues with that, but yet, God still wants us to trust Him.

"Think about it: when we break an arm or leg, we go to an orthopedic doctor. It is next to impossible to properly set a broken bone, along. When we have vision trouble we go to an ophthalmologist to see if there is an internal problem with our eyes (cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy) None of these can be fixed by you alone. Tea can't fix those issues. Finally, when there is a heart issue we go to a cardiologist. Try doing your own open heart surgery! Step1: Anesthesia; Step 2: zzzzzzzzz." God Has His Tools.

When 2020 came in, and we were hit with COVID-19, a lot of things has happened to us all. We were wondering where was God and why did he allow this to happen? Yes, that's the word, why did he allow it to happen? Jobs lost, companies closed down, divorces, and much, much more.
God's word says "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7)." We will first begin with prayer, and if you have any questions please press the number 1 and you'll be put in our cue.

God's Knock-out Punch." "I remember years ago hearing about a technique lifeguards supposedly use to help people who are drowning but who are flailing and thrashing in the water. I really don't know how true it is, but there or not it serves my purpose. The concept is that if a person is flailing widely in the water and the thrashing and wild movements threaten to end the life of both the victim and the lifeguard, the lifeguard is supposed to knock the victim unconscious so that the flailing stops and the victim can be moved to safety. this is probably a lifeguard house rule because there is nothing written to support this method. Let's say it is true; that is what God did for me." The great Knock-out punch of God.

Yes, even in the midst of the great turmoil of the Pandemic, the elections, and now what happened at the Capital, we still have praise that no other person has, why? There is a story in the Bible that I truly love, and that story is Zacchaeus the tax collector. Now you're probably asking why is that person for story viable to me right now? Well, I'm glad you asked. You see, Zacchaeus was a tax collector in the new testament times. He was a short man, and like today, wasn't loved by anyone because of his profession of being a tax collector. But something happened to him that changed his life forever.
What was that, it was the day that he met Jesus when Jesus had entered Jericho. You see, when Jesus entered Jericho, Zaccheus wanted to see him, but being a short man he couldn't because the crowd of people was taller than he was. So, Zacchaeus climbed a sycamore tree-fig tree to see him. But this is what changed his mind. When Jesus got to that tree, he looked up and called to Zaccheus and said "Zacchaeus come down immediately, I must stay at your house today." Could you imagine what was racing through Zaccheus's mind when he heard those words? Can you imagine the look on the people's faces around him when they heard Jesus say that? Do you think that Zacchaeus was Worth Jesus spending time with him, a tax collector?

As we're going through this life that God has given us, we are going to make mistakes, hurt someones feeling, or even get our feelings hurt. Why? because the word says, "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23. We all make mistakes, we may hurt each other, intentionally, or even intentionally. But, what do you do when someone makes a mistake and hurt you, and they come back and ask for forgiveness? Do you forgive them, or do you hold on to it for the rest of your life? Or have you figured out THERE IS POWER IN FORGIVENESS?

In the word, it talks about Stewardship. God wants us to be good stewards of what he's given us. Well, what does the word steward mean? The definition of a steward is "manage or look after." God wants us to manage and look after what he's blessed us with. We pray and ask God for this and for that, and when he blesses us with it, do we take care of it, oh, my bad, do we manage it properly. But guess what? What happens when COVID-19 hit and we still have to be good stewards, are we able to stick to the command?

With our Current State of Events that going on, that's call COVID-19, not only with our county, but with the world, it's hard to do the one thing that God tells us to do all the time, and that it Be still and know that I am God (Psalms 46:10.) He also said in Exodus 14:14, The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still. Our issue is that we don't know how to do that. We live in a society that loves being busy. We live in a society that can't keep still. Well, guess what? God is trying to tell us something, and I truly think that He's telling us to "Be Still." What do you think? Are you that busy? Is your family that busy? Are you making time for God? Or did God stop you in you and everyone else to say, I need to hear from you, son, or daughter? Or do you think again, He's trying to tell his children that he loves them.

And you've prayed about it, you told your friends about it, you told your pastor about it, and then when God answer's the prayer, you decided that it didn't come the way that you wanted and you were about to say "No." Wow, how many of us have ever had that type of short term insanity. In Matthew 4:1-11 says that the Spirit led Jesus into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. But that temptation came after he was fasting and praying for 40 days and 40 nights. We all know that after fasting for such a long time, not only was Jesus hungry, because he was human, but he was thirsty too. How many of us would be able to fast for 40 day and 40 nights? Well the Son of God did, and that's when Satan came to Him when He was weak.
We all know the story, how many of us are able to withstand the snares of the devil when we're weak? Would we be able to quote scripture in times when trouble is coming upon us? Jesus was able to use the word, which he knew to withstand Satan's tricks. Many Christians are celebrating Lent right now, which means Reflection and Preparation for Easter. Sometimes we need to take time to reflect and Prepare for the next things in our lives. Or, we can say the New Beginnings in our life. Easter is around the corner, are you ready for His Resurrection?

Well what do you know, it's the First Friday of the last month of the year, and following our new protocol we're hosting Perpetual Praise Friday 27 on the first Friday of the month. Wow, where has the year gone? We're ending this year's Perpetual Praise Fridays, and Christmas is upon us, and we're about to engage in a new year. So with that said, what are you Praising God for tonight. Are you ready for Christmas?
Please join Kai and Nichelle of MAN IN THE MIRROR this evening, December 7, 2018, at 9 PM. Please call in at 917.889.2271 or log in at www.blogtalkradio.com/man-in-themirror. Help up celebrate our last Perpetual Praise Friday of 2018, and help us bring the Christmas Cheer is as in a few weeks Christmas is here. Tell us what you're thankful to God for and let's all continue to praise God at the bright and beautiful Christmas Holiday.
Merry Christmas, Deck the Halls, It Came Upon the Midnight Clear. Sound familiar? Yes, it's that time of year. Yes, it's time to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. But I'm going to ask the question that my Pastor, Erica Stanely asked us in church several times when's Christ Birthday? Is it Christmas Day? Is it really December? Better yet, here is a really deep question. What do you do when you know you're being born only to die? Do you follow through with the plan, or do you change your mind? Or do you remember what the scriptures said, a very well know bible verse "For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son." John 3:16.
Join Kai and Nichelle tonight, November 30, 2018, at 9 PM, on MAN IN THE MIRROR as we discuss and prepare for the last holiday of the year. Call in at 917.889.2271, or log in at www.blogtalkradio.com/man-in-themirror. Regardless how we look at it, it's here. Tell us your thoughts on the real meaning of CHRISTMAS!
Thanksgiving is upon us. People have started leaving for their destinations even as of today. Thanksgiving is the most traveled holiday throughout the year and I'm trying to figure out why. I guess you're saying to yourself what is Kai talking about now. Well, are we really Thankful for what God has done for us all year round, or are we just following what the world says and that's just saying, take a vacation, take time off and go visit family. Mind you, as I watched the news they said people have started traveling today, and Thanksgiving isn't until next week.
The bible says "Psalm 136: 1 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His love endures forever. 2 Give thanks to the God of gods. His love endures forever. 3 Give thanks to the Lord of lords: His love endures forever."
Join Kai and Nichelle on Monday, November 19, 2018, at 9 PM as we host our Thanksgiving Show. Call in at 917.889.2271, or log in at www.blogtalkradio.com/man-in-themirror. Help us give Thanks. Tell us what you're thankful about .
Good evening all, it's that time again. It's Perpetual Praise Friday 27!!!!. Yes, we normally do Perpetual Praise Friday on the third Friday of the month. But, we've decided to change up. We decided to start each new month off with PRAISE. Giving honor and glory to our God. We only have two months left in the year, so let us get together and give Him Praise. Oh yea, Thanksgiving is around the corner too. So, we have a lot to be Thankful for.
Join me, Hezekiah L. Montgomery, host of MAN IN THE MIRROR, and co-host, Nichelle Johnson, tonight, Friday, November 2, 2018, at 9 PM. Call in at 917.889.2271, or log in at www.blogtalkradio.com/man-in-themirror. Help us start this raining evening of with praise. And remember what David said, "I will bless the Lord with at all times, His praise will be continually on my mouth."
Can you believe it? Can you believe that MAN IN THE MIRROR is now 4 years old? Or, shall I say 4 years strong. Yes, MAN IN THE MIRROR is 4 years old as of October 17, 2018. So, that means Happy Birthday to us. I'm truly excited out this because I would have never even thought about doing a show like this if it wasn't for our cohost introducing me to C. Maria Wall when I was on her show doing my first interview about my book REDISCOVERING KAI. After writing the book I would have never thought about being on a BlogTalkRadio show being interviewed about my book, but it happened.
Then after that, more interviews started happening. Then, it came. The Lord said it's time for you to do your own show. Did I want to do that, absolutely not!, but God said it's time, so I did it. I've been going on other people's shows and learned the process, and Maria Wall was the TrailBlazer and Mentor, so it was an easy concept to follow. So, MAN IN THE MIRROR aired its first show on October 17, 2014, and that show was "A Preachers Perspective of Rediscovering Kai." And here we are today.
Tune in tonight, October 19, 2018, at 9 PM, and join me, Hezekiah L. Montgomery, host of MAN IN THE MIRROR, and Nichelle Johnson Cohost, as we celebrate our 4 YEAR ANNIVERSARY of the show. Call in at 917.889.2271, or log in at www.blogtalkradio.com/man-in-themirror, and tell us what you like about our show and what you're looking forward to.
Have you ever been through something in your life that totally took you by surprise? Have you ever been sat down, put in the corner for a time-out, or even felt like you've been forsaken and nowhere to turn, or nobody to help you? Well, I know that feeling all to well. I've been in that position before, but as I was going through I found out that God was using that situation to sanctify me, bring me back to His holiness and make me His again. But, the one thing that came from all of this when God was working on me, is MAN IN THE MIRROR. I had to go through something that I didn't want to go through in order to make it to the other side.
Tune into MAN IN THE MIRROR tonight, September 28, 2018, and join your host Hezekiah L. Montgomery, and co-host, Nichelle Johnson as we discuss this mystifying act of God's allowance. Call in at 917.889.2271 or log in at www.blogtalkradio.com/man-in-themirror. Join our discussion and let's tell the truth about how God uses situations in our life to Sanctify us for His will.
I remember many, many years ago when I was a little boy in Catholic School. A new kid came to the school names, Christopher Marble. Now, mind you back then we competed for grades and when Chris came to the school I was already there for several years, now he comes and tries to upset my fruit basket with starting to compete for grades. But for some reason, I started emulating him, down to almost writing like him. I remember one day when we were fighting for a corner as crossing guards, he made me mad and his grandmother came along and said something to me. Well, that didn't go well because I said something unkind to her. Christopher was my "Thorn in my flesh."
2 Corinthians 12: 7-9 To keep me from becoming conceited because of these surpassingly great revelations, there was given me a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.—NIV
Have you ever had a family member, coworker, or even a church member that was just always irritating you and you couldn't figure out why is this happening? Now mind you, that was years ago, and guess what, I went through the same thing just last year. That thorn just seems not to want to leave me alone. Who or what was your thorn in the flesh.
Join me, Hezekiah L. Montgomery, host of MAN IN THE MIRROR, and cohost Nichelle Johnson, tonight, September 14, 2018, at 9 PM. Call in at 917.889.2271 or log in at www.blogtalkradio.com/man-in-themirror. Tell us about your "Thorn in the flesh" and how you handled it.
Have you ever been in situations in your life that you just don't know what to do? You turn to your friends they are aren't available. You turn to your church leader and they aren't available, so they say! you turn to family and they turn their back on you, but, when they need you, you're always there. But, tonight's episode will be about those leaders in the church that when a need is there, they turn there back, or they think you're below them and don't want to give you the time of day. Church leaders beware!!!!!

Have you ever had a day when the last answer was NO? Have you ever heard someone say that they've gone to work one day, and that was the last day that they were there because they got let go? Or, you've been waiting to hear from the school that you've wanted to go to and find out that you've been rejected, "NO," So yea, there's a lot of No's going around in all our lives, but the real question that you ask God and everyone else is, why?
Join me, Hezekiah L. Montgomery, host of MAN IN THE MIRROR, and Nichelle Johnson, cohost, tonight, August 17, 2018, at 9 PM, as we have this very interesting discussion. Call in at 917.889.2271 or log int a www.blogtalkradio.com/man-in-themirror. Do problems and issues keep coming into your life? Have you children been taking you through every test that you can imagine? Have the people you work with, shall I say, "take you through the ropes?" And, after going through all this, the word says "Consider it pure joy, my brothers, and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance." James 1:2-3.
We all face problems, issues, co-workers, bosses, bills, and kids running amuck every day. Then when we read the word it specifically says, "Consider it pure joy." Now, I don't know about you, but sometimes it's hard to be happy when things are going crazy in your life, and then God wants you to, BE HAPPY, or BE STILL!!!!
Join me, Hezekiah L. Montgomery, host of MAN IN THE MIRROR, and Nichelle Johnson, co-host, tonight, August 3, 2018, at 9 PM, as we have this most interesting conversation. With all the holiday's that we have in America, the one that we really don't make a lot of hooplas about it Father's Day. We have Christmas when all the kids expect their gifts from Santa if you believe in him. We have valentines when all the lovers, husbands and wives exchange gifts and show their love towards each other, and then we have the biggest one throughout the year, Mothers Day. Mothers Day is the day that we pay homage to all mothers around the world for childbearing, cooking, and taking care of the family. But, there is one person that sometimes get neglected in the family and that's dad.
Jesus's father Joseph became a stepdad even when he wasn't ready for it, but it came. He was told, hey, you're doing to be the dad of the Son of God. Could you imagine the look on his face and what was going on in his head? Well, being a father is sometimes overlooked because we have to always step up to the plate just like Joseph did and be there dad, father, stepdad, stepfather or pop. Whatever they call you, we have to step up. Is it easy, nope, because America doesn't really understand what a father is.
Join me, Hezekiah L. We all have heard the story of David and Goliath, but have you really paid attention to what was in that story. Every day we all face giants of many kinds, but we have seen to have forgotten how to handle those giants because FEAR SETS IN! Just like it did for the Israelites when they tried to fight Goliath all by themselves. Yes, he was BIG and STRONG, and he even taunted the God of the Israelite army. What do you think, a whole Army was afraid of this one Giant man. But, God sent a ram in the bush, he sent David, a shepherd boy, who used only what he had, and his Faith in the Almighty to defeat that Giant. You see, All Giants Fall, if we do away with the fear, and apply our Faith in the one who loves us. The one who sent His son to die for us, so why be afraid of the Giants in our life, we have our own stones to defeat those Giants.
Join me, Hezekiah L. Montgomery, host of, MAN IN THE MIRROR, and my co-host, Nichelle Johnson, tonight, May 25, 2018, at 9 PM, as discuss the Giant Affect, and how to handle it. Call in at 917.889.2271, or log in at www.blogtalkradio.com/man-in-themirror. Tell us about your Giants and how you handle them. See you soon.

Tonight our discussion is titled "Blessed Assurance." I know what you're thinking, what is Hezekiah talking about, blessed assurance? Well, there is a story in the Bible that I love. It's the story of Gideon and the Fleece. You see, the Israelites had done evil in the site of the Lord and he gave them into the hand of the Midianites. And they were really going through with this, but guess what, God was still God even though He allowed things to happen to them Many times God will allow things to happen to us to get our attention, and in this story that's what God did. When we're disobedient, there is a price to pay. But God...
Gideon was very special to God and God wanted to use him to save the people, but he wasn't sure if he was the one to be used. He wanted a Blessed Assurance to make sure that God was going to be with him when he goes into battle. So, he did what many people in the Bible have done. He tested God. He tested him twice to make sure that he'll have that Blessed Assurance that God's going to be with him in Battle. That Blessed Assurance gives us peace that everything is going to be alright.
Join me, Hezekiah L. Montgomery, host of MAN IN THE MIRROR, and Nichelle Johnson, co-host, tonight, Friday, April 6, 2018, at 9 PM, as we discuss this Blessed Assurance. Call in at 917-889-2271, or log in at www.blogtalkradio.com/man-in-themirror, and help us find out truly what this Blessed Assurance that Gideon had is all about.

Tonight we're borrowing from Dr. Tony Evans. When I heard him talking about Peter walking on water (Matt. 14.:22-33). When I heard how he explained it, it truly opened up my eyes. Have you ever been through a bad storm, snow, rain, life? I know we all have been through storms. But guess what. There was a storm going on when Jesus walked on the water. Let it also be known that the waters were rough too. But when Peter saw Jesus walking on the water, he said, call me out Lord "tell me to come to you on the water." He did and Peter came out the boat and he too was walking on the water as long as he kept his eyes on Jesus. As soon as he looked down in awe and disbelief he started to sing and cried, Lord "save me" and Jesus did just that.
How many times have Jesus told you to come out and walk on the water? How many storms have you been through? Join me, Hezekiah L. Montgomery, host of MAN IN THE MIRROR, and cohost Nichelle Johnson tonight February 23, 2018, at 9 PM, as we dive into this great discussion. Call in at 917-889-2271, or log in at www.blogtalkradio.com/man-in-themirror. What will you do when your storm comes?
Good evening, and welcome to Perpetual Praise Saturday, yes, you heard me, Perpetual Praise Saturday. MAN IN THE MIRROR is hosting this week's Perpetual Praise Friday on Saturday this week due to being obedient to our pastor and going to church on the 16 of February for prayer. This is consecration month and we're consecrating our lives to God. Fasting, praying and believing in Miracles.
What's been going on in your life this month? Have you been praising Him in the morning, in the evening, on the way to work? Perpetual Praise is an ongoing Praise to God. That's what we need to do, keep praising Him. Having a No Matter What kind of Praise.
Join me, Hezekiah L. Montgomery, host of MAN IN THE MIRROR, and Nichelle Johnson, cohost, on Saturday, February 17, 2018, at 9 PM as we host our Perpetual Praise Saturday. Call in at 917-889-2271, or log in at www.blogtalkradio.com/man-in-themirror. Call in and give us your praise report. We'll talk to you, pray with you and just praise God along with you.
A few episodes ago we interview Ms. Diane Harris, and she had a dynamite testimony. As I read her Bio, I came across the word "however." I looked the definition of the word and here is what it said: Used to introduce a statement that contrasts with or seems to contradict something that has been said previously." When I read that, it really STOOD!!!!!! out to me. Because it's saying that whatever is going on at that moment, Something can come along and contradict what was said and CHANGE it.
Wow, that's how wonderful God is. Whatever is going on in our life, He can come over and change the script and put in a "however" and that will change everything. Have you ever been in a situation, and people have given up on you, but in the right time, you're HOWEVER came, and changed the whole course of things.
Join me, Hezekiah L. Montgomery, host of MAN IN THE MIRROR, and Nichelle Johnson, cohost, tonight February 9, 2018, at 9 PM, as we discuss this "However" thing. Call in at 917-889-2271, or log in at www.blogtalkradio.com/man-in-themirror. Be brave enough to tell us your However.
Good evening, today we will be discussing consecration. What is concentration? "The action of making or declaring something, typically a church, sacred." During the month of February, my Pastor, Pastor Erica Stanley of Masterpiece Community Connection Ministries called a fast. Wow, a fast. Yes, a fast so that we can consecrate ourselves back to the Lord. With this, we're doing the Daniel fast. Was I ready for this, no one is, but it's good for us spiritually to turn the plate down, and just eat vegetables, juice, and beans. In my book Rediscovering Kai, I talked about fasting and I actually showed someone how to fast when I was incarcerated in the BDF. I truly thank Pastor Erica for bringing it back.
We get so tied up in our daily lives that we forget the things that God wants us to do. We have our jobs, we have our family's, we have church. Many of us try to be in church almost 24 hours a day, but is that truly affecting our relationship with the Lord.
Join me, Hezekiah L. Montgomery, host of MAN IN THE MIRROR, and Nichelle Johnson, co-host, tonight, February 2, 2018, at 9 PM as we have a discussion on consecration. Call in at 917-889-2271, or log in at www.blogtalkradio.com/man-in-themirror. Help us read about Daniel and how he chose not to eat the Kings food, and still rose above the rest.

Reared in a devout Christian household with two parents who served as ordained Ministers, Diane Harris knew of the Lord at a young age. Each Sunday was spent in Church, from the morning service until evening service. During early adulthood, Diane strayed from the foundation which she was raised; however, she never parted. The Lord has seen her through many trials and tribulations, from heavy drinking and a near-death experience as a result of childbirth complications to single motherhood.
A product of grace, Diane found her way back to Christ at age 44 and now proudly serves as an ordained Minister at Bethesda Temple International Church in Kensington, MD. Diane’s greatest desire is to please the Father along with helping the lost find their way to Christ. There is no limit to what God can do, Diane is a first-hand witness.

It's a great honor to start this New Year off with Min. Diane Harris, this Woman of God truly has a story:
Reared in a devout Christian household with two parents who served as ordained Ministers, Diane Harris knew of the Lord at a young age. Each Sunday was spent in Church, from the morning service until evening service. During early adulthood, Diane strayed from the foundation which she was raised; however, she never parted. As the Holiday is upon us, we see lights, tree's, Cameras, Action!!!!! you get the gist. Christmas has been so commercialized that our society has completely forgotten about what the true meaning of Christmas is and was. The Son of God came to earth and was born poor in a Stable. Many of us would gasp at the sight of having to give birth in a Country Stable, but our Heavenly father didn't think it amidst for His song to be born poor and live amongst us. So, who are we to think so highly of ourselves around this time of the year. Did you know that that little baby that was born over 2000 years ago knew at the very moment that he was born that 33 years later His ministry would begin, and then He'd have to sacrifice His life so we could live? That's the true meaning of Christmas
Join me, Hezekiah L. Montgomery, host of Man In The MIrror, and Nichelle Johnson, co-host tonight, December 1, 2017, at 9 PM as we bring in the Holidays with this very interesting discussion. How many of us have ever been in NEED!!!!!???? We need our bills paid, the car note, the rent, the mortgage, health care, school tuition, or some other sort of need. Well God has really been edging me this week with tonight topic "GOD WILL PROVIDE." It came to me last week, trust me I can't make this up. I follow His will. The story of Abraham and Isaac in Genesis 22, when he was going up the mountain to make the sacrifice to God and he got up early and loaded his donkey. He took with him two of his servants and his son Isaac. He took wood and set out to the place God told him about.
Now mind you, Isaac wasn't no dummy, he asked well pop, you got the wood, but where is the SACRIFICE? and Abraham said: "God will Provide." We've all heard this story, but we're going to break it down tonight. Why? because with so much going on in our lives, in our country, and in our own homes, many times we forget that GOD WILL PROVIDE!!!!
Join me, Hezekiah L. Montgomery, host of MAN IN THE MIRROR, and Nichelle Johnson, co-host. tonight, November 3, 2017, at 9 PM as we have this very interesting and much-needed conversation. Can you believe it? It's been three years since MAN IN THE MIRROR has aired on October 17, 2014, and we have over 150 episodes. Me myself, I can't believe it. When the Lord gave me the vision to start MAN IN THE MIRROR, I was totally against it. I wasn't sure if I was ready to do something of this magnitude, but three years later here we are celebrating years on the air, three years on the internet, and three years of meeting people who are Real People, Real Stories, Real Overcomers.
Are you EXCITED NOW????!!!!!!...I know I am. Please join me, Hezekiah L. While studying the story of Lazarus in John 11 yesterday, God spoke to me. We've all heard the story, but there is a part the basically winked at me. In John 11: 22, it's the part where Jesus is comforting the Sisters of Lazarus. In verse 22 Martha said "But I know that "EVEN NOW" God will give you whatever you ask.
Wow, that statement was bold and true. You see Jesus showed up after Lazarus has died and was already in the grave, but hold on, Martha said, that even if he is dead, you're the son of God, and we know that whatever you ask of the Father, He will give you whatever you ask.
Enough said...join me Hezekiah L. Montgomery host of MAN IN THE MIRROR and co-host Nichelle Johnson, tonight October 6, 2017, at 9 PM, as we have this great discussion about our EVEN NOW GOD. Call in at 917-889-2271, or log in at www.blogtalkradio.com/man-in-themirror. Do you have an Even Now God?

The word says "1 Corinthians 12:20 As it is, there are many parts, but one body." Have you ever been driving, and someone cut you off? How did that make you feel? Have you ever been working on something, and someone comes along and thinks they know what you're doing and tries to help you? Yes, we've all been there. There are many people out there that think they know everything about anything that comes along. And lastly, have you ever been in church, and some of those that have positions are always trying to do something that you're assigned to because they think they know everything?
Well, been there and done that. So why am I doing a show on this? I'm glad you asked. I heard a pastor herself tell me that she stays in her lane. I was shocked and amazed, but she told me that if she gives someone in the church and assignment, that means she's counting on them to do their part. Why? because she gave it to them on the merit that they were the right one for the position.

Yes, in the past couple years, we've done 18 Perpetual Praise Fridays, but due to scheduling, we're here on a Thursday. We're coming online yo praise, pray, talk and testify on the Goodness and Greatness of our God.

A few weeks ago I over heard a young lady talking about a young man in her place of employment that she watches. This young man is being detained for something he did and is trying to get his life together. She said his privileges are about to be revoked. I asked her why? She said because he's truly not trying to get his life together. I thought to myself, well maybe there is a deeply embedded issue that he hasn't dealt with and his actions are demonstrated. The Bible says, out of the heart come the issues of life.
So, if you know me, you know what came to my mind. What if God revoked us as Christians every time we messed up? I did a little study, just a little and I've found out if you don't know already that the prison system is known for revoking sentences when parolees come before them. It's like you're on your way to heaven, and someone pulls the plug from under you, and you find out that you've been turned down. YOU'VE BEEN REVOKED!!!!!!! Now, what do you do?
Join me, Hezekiah L. Montgomery, host of MAN IN THE MIRROR, and co-host Nichelle Johnson as we discuss our topic. Tune in on Thursday, August 3, 2017, at 9 PM. Call in at 917-889-2271, or log in at www.blogtalkradio.com/man-in-themirror. Give of your feedback and comments on this interesting discussion.
Wow, it's that time again. What time is that? You know it, it's the third Friday of the month, it's Perpetual Praise Friday. And I'm truly excited because this is our 17th one. Have you ever called your children and for some reason they don't hear you? Has your boss ever called you on the phone and you've ignored the phone because know that they are going to ask you to do something that you know you don't want to do, or will take more time than you're willing to give.
I do remember my younger years and I heard my mom call me to come in the house, but I'd linger a little longer until she'd start calling my full name, and then I know it was time to come in before it's too late. I've come to the conclusion that we all have selective hearing. Why do I say that? well, when you're around children, they may act like they don't hear you, but guess what, they do. So, where am I going with this, my question this evening is, what do you do when the MASTER CALLS YOU? Do you act like you didn't hear HIM? Do you use your selective hearing and act like you didn't hear HIM, or do you answer Him when He Calls?
I know in my life when HE was calling me, I did what everyone else did, I ignored the call, or I acted like it wasn't me. Well, tonights show is entitled, THE MASTERS CALLING. I took it from a song by Deborah Joy Winans, the words and simple, but effective. Listen while you still can hear, the masters calling.
Is He calling you? Join me Hezekiah L. Montgomery, host of MAN IN THE MIRROR and cohost Nichelle Johnson on July 7, 2017, at 9 PM, as we have this powerful discussion. Call in at 917-889-2271, or log in at www.blogtalkradio.com/man-in-themirror. Don't let the rocks answer your call!!!!!!!
Naomi B. is an acclaimed and anointed gospel music recording artist, songwriter, worship leader, actress, and speaker. A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Naomi has continued to gain praise and respect as one of the industry's most promising rising stars. Her powerful yet soothing sound captures your attention while imparting hope and inspiration. And her music, passionately expressive and rhythmical, is yet personally reflective.
A graduate of Morgan State University, Naomi's musical gifts became apparent during childhood when she began song-writing and performing in her community. Notoriously known as 'the girl who sings', Naomi organized singing groups, worship teams, and choirs within the organizations she was affiliated with, even as a teenager. Her vocal experience includes rhythm & blues and jazz -- but in 2006, she vowed to use her voice as an instrument through which "God can communicate His desire to have an intimate relationship with each and every person he placed on the earth."
In 2015, Naomi pinned and released the beautiful ballad, "Holding On", a song of hope that encourages listeners to cling to God during times of trouble. The ballad unveils a transparency of emotions while inspiring one to remember that God is everything you need and that He is always within reach. The song has made a tremendous impact throughout the country as it has received national media coverage in outlets such as the Examiner Newspaper and the AFRO-American Newspaper, and was featured on the nationally syndicated radio talk show, The Bev Smith Show.

Have you ever made a promise to someone, and comes to find out that it was hard to keep that promise? Have you ever had that talk with God that if He'd ever get ou out this situation you've gotten yourself in that you'd never do it again! Well, we've all been there, and it actually get's us nowhere. But for the Grace of God, and His mercy's that are new every morning, God continues to forgive us and is waiting for us to get it together.
Tonight, we're going to talk about something that many people don't really want to talk about, we're discussing, Covenant Relationship. And you're asking, what is that? A Covenant is Literally, a contract. In the Bible, an agreement between God and his people, in which God makes promises to his people and, usually, requires certain conduct from them. In the Old Testament, God made agreements with Noah, Abraham, and Moses. And the definition of Relationship is the way in which two or more concepts, objects, or people are connected or the state of being connected.
So, in turn, when you're in covenant relationship with God, you, me, us, are in a contract with God. A great example of that is between a husband and wife, they are in a covenant relationship with God first, and secondly, they are in a covenant relationship with each other. God's people are drawn to be in a covenant relationship with Him because of his love for us that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. Christ is married to the church.
Join us, Hezekiah L. Montgomery and Nichelle Johnson you host and cohost of MAN IN THE MIRROR tonight June 9, 2017, at 9 PM as we dive into this great discussion. Call in at 917.889.2271 or log into www.blogtalkradio.com/man-in-themirror.
Well, we're back. We told you a few weeks ago that we were taking a hiatus for a few weeks, but we didn't tell you why. Well, here it is. Nichelle and I have gotten married, and we're back and ready to add a whole new dynamics to MAN IN THE MIRROR. God brought your host and hostess together several years ago, and a little while after that MAN IN THE MIRROR was birthed and it's been growing ever since. With that said let's get ready for tonight's show.
Oh, yea, you can close your mouth now...lol..yes we got married, we's married now and again, the show is going to be bigger and better. A couple of show's ago we did the show titled THE COME BACK, and many of you loved that show. The SET BACK, is probably a continuation of that show. Have you ever been in a situation that you know it was only God that made it happen? Have you ever thought, now how could this be happening. Have you ever thought wondered if this was a trick, or you're being pranked? I think we all have, and here is why. Many times as we're going through life things come along that are truly a blessing, but then it keeps going. They are called unexpected blessings, and God is SETTING YOU up and many times you don't even know it.
Mat. 18: 18 says ""Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." When we give it to God, he'll take care of it in a way that you never expected Him to do.
So, please join our Celebration this evening June 2, 2017, at 9 PM on MAN IN THE MIRROR as we talk about THE SET UP!!!! Call in at 917-889-2271, or log in at www.blogtalkradio.com/man-in-themirror.

Earlier this week a friend of mines on Facebook posted a great Quote. She posted "Wait On The Lord! The Come Back Is Always Bigger Than The Set Back. Say Thank You:)." I liked it, and it's been in the back of my mind all week long. Why? well if you've read my book, you would understand. When you've been through a trial that was set up to knock you down without the hope of a recovery, you live life wondering when will it be your time to shine. It's like everyone around you is being blessed, people who know your story are looking at you, you're still wondering, when will it be my season, my turn, when will I have my COME BACK!!!!!!
The Word says "Isaiah 40:31New International Version (NIV), 31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." So we have to WAIT ON THE LORD, we have to hold on, we have to keep the faith, we can't grow weary, why? because something bigger is coming, and when it comes you'll be singing the song "It's a new season, it's a new day. A fresh anointing is flowing my way. It's a season of power and prosperity. It's a new season coming to me.
Then I heard someone on the radio today talk about those unexpected blessing, and I got one of those this week, MIND BLOWN.I tell you this thing is real. So, join us, Hezekiah L. Montgomery and Nichelle Johnson, host and co-host of MAN IN THE MIRROR, tonight, April 28, 2017, at 9 PM as we discuss THE GREAT COME BACK!!!! Call in at 917.889.2271, or log in at www.blogtalkradio.com/man-in-themirror. Tell us about your COME BACK, and let's celebrate together.

Many of us drive our cars are a daily basis. And if you drive in any City, sooner or later you'll notice your car pulling to the left or right. Now, why does that happen? Well if you're not mechanically inclined, the answer is your wheels have gotten off of alignment. Again, how do you know this, well a quick text for an experienced driver is to drive your car about 50 MPH going straight, take your hands slightly off the steering wheel and see what happens. If instead of continuing straight, it drives a little to the left of right, it's misaligned. So, what do you do when you or y our mechanic finds this out? I'm glad you asked, you go to the one who has the right equipment and knows what they are doing to align you car correctly, a mechanic.
Well, the word says, (I Sam. 15:22) "But Samuel replied: "Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the LORD? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams."
When we (the car) don't obey the word and do what is says, we become un-spiritually balanced. We're out of Spiritual Alignment. How does this happen? It happens when you don't trust God for who He is, it happens when we don't tithe as we should, it happens when we don't read our word as we should, we're out of Spiritual Alignment. Once we find out why all these things are going crazy (car going left or right) let's go to our Spiritual Mechanic (Jesus Christ) and get back in alignment!!!

I've been in church my whole life. Raised up in the Holiness church when born, then went to the Catholic church when Catholic Schools were really thriving in the inner city areas. Then life led me to the Mennonite Church for about 20 years. Then, 16 years ago moving to Baltimore from Philadelphia, life happens again and I experience for the first time church hurt. We've all heard of it when things or incidents happen and we blame the church and we leave that particular church. I know I did, but the Lord just revealed something to me just this weekend. It's not CHURCH HURT, IT'S PEOPLE HURT. PEOPLE HURT PEOPLE AND HURT PEOPLE HURT PEOPLE.
I know what you're saying, Hezekiah what are you talking about. Well, I remember a song that I will put in at the end of this when I'm done. Remember, the church was nowhere around until Acts, hypothetically. Stay with me now, so I remembered when Jesus said this to Peter in Luke 22:31-32 "Simone Peter, Satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat, But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers."
Yes I went there and I want to know your thoughts at well, so please join me Hezekiah L. Montgomery and Nichelle Johnson on Friday, March 3, 2017, at 9 PM as we discuss this touchy subject. Call in at 917-889-2271 or log in at www.blogtalkradio.com/man-in-themirror. Tell us your thoughts, we're dying to know.
Good evening everyone, Kia here with A Moment with Hezekiah on Church Hurt. I've been in church my whole life. Raised up in the Holiness church when born, then went to the Catholic church when Catholic Schools were really thriving in the inner city areas.
So, tomorrow night, our show will discuss this monumental subject that embodies practically every church around. You can't get around it. And guess what I did, I invited a couple church leaders to help us out. We'll have our very own Pastor Clinton S. Desarae Collins started writing love stories at the age of nine but by the age of eleven, she started writing songs. She really didn't know how to write a book when she first started writing. So, she joined an organization called the Black Writer's Guild that gives aspiring authors and already published ones help with the writing process. They have different speakers every month and the speakers give their insight into everything from book reviews to getting copy written. She enjoyed the segments and after going for a few months she was able to type up my manuscript. She then met Leroy McKenzie at one of the book meetings and he told her he would help publish her book. So, you see a little perseverance goes a long way.

Well, it's that time of year again. The time of year where men panic because IT'S VALENTINES again. But not just men, woman do too. Many woman wonder who's going to be their valentines, or what they are getting for valentines. How much is he doing to spend, or men may think the same thing, how much is she doing to spend, and how big is the present going to be. Today's society has put a price on love, how big is the bear going to be, how much did those flowers cost, oh yea and don't forget the candy.
No, I don't know about you, but I think society has gotten out of control with this valentines thang. Society has put a price on love and we're all falling for it. Tina Turner was the one that quoted "What's Love Got To Do With It?" Well what is love, and how do you love? Good questions right, I think so. Do we really know what love it, and does love cost? Do we have to wait till Valentines to show the one we love that we love them, are we only showing love once a year? I know, good questions. And lastly, where is God in all this?
Join us, Hezekiah L. Montgomery and Nichelle Johnson for our Pre-Valentines Show, tonight, February 3, 2017, at 9 PM. Call in at 917-889-2271 or log in at www.blogtalkradio.com/man-in-themirror. Join our discussion about one of the oldest holidays in America, the one that has us looking for love, and leaving us penniless. What are your thoughts, we're dying to know.
Baltimore City just did there PIT count. What is PIT? Point In Time count of the homeless in Baltimore City. It's a count of those who are on the streets homeless in our city. When I hear about this and its outcome, I was truly astonished. Our new mayor Catherine Pugh said she's going to work hard at lowering the population of homeless in Baltimore City, and I truly commend her for that. After what I saw for myself on the news and in the streets, we always wonder why is this person homeless? And then we ask the questions is it any of my business?
The answer to these questions is YES!, why? because we're commanded to take care of the "LEAST OF THESE." We did a show similar to this a while ago, coming from the same scripture Matthew 25:31-46. Christ was very explicit when he spoke on this. In my Bible, it's titled "The Sheep and the Goats." It says that when the Son of Man comes in His glory, he will separate the people one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goat. You see, the sheep are his followers, that's us. We call the Pastor the Shepherd and we are the sheep, or the followers of Christ because he is the Shepherd. Next, we have the goats, Basically, after research, goats look similar to sheep and sometimes it's hard to recognize them, but goats don't follow anyone, they go their own way.
Christ is saying that many of us hear the word of God and follow it and help our fellow man as the Shepherd does with sheep. But, much more often, selfishness sets in, and many of us become goats and don't care about anyone but ourselves.

Then after the book, I got my first interview about my book on Healing Through Hurt with Maria Wall. And guess what happened after that, I got more interviews, and then the Lord led me to do what I'm doing now, Man In The Mirror. Giving others with books, stories, and testimonies to come on and tell their story, and tell us about their books, it's called paying it forward.

We all know the story of Jonah, well I hope we all know. If you don't know here is the short version. God spoke to Jonah and told him to go preach to Nineveh because the people there were living in sin. Well, Jonah didn't want to so for some reason he tried to hide from God. Go figure the creator of the universe and you try to hide. Jonah tried to hide on a ship to get away from God. God sent a big wind to toss the ship around, Jonah had to be tossed off the ship to keep it from sinking, and then guess what, a great fish AKA whale comes along and swallows Jonah. Jonah repents and decides to go through with his mission and go preach to Nineveh.
You see, Jonah have a mission that God gave him to do, but he was making excuses for why he shouldn't do it, then he decided to run from God. Has God ever given you a mission, or a calling, or even told you to do something and you came up with several excuses of why you shouldn't do it. That sounds like "Jonahism" to me. We make up all kinds of excuses not to do what we know God wants us to do, but remember, even if it takes a Whale or a lifetime, God will always get His way. Jonah found that out first hand. Even Moses tried to make an excuse to get out of what God had for him to do, but God wasn't having it.
Join me, Hezekiah L. Montgomery host of Man In The Mirror and Nichelle Johnson, Co-Host on December 2, 2016, at 9 PM as we discuss the interesting concept of Jonahism. We've all been there, we just won't admit it. Call in at 917-889-2271 or log in www.blogtalkradioi.com/man-in-themirror. See you there!!!!
The word says"God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth." That's a good scripture to start or 12th Perpetual Praise Friday off. I'm truly excited because God is good and has been good to me. It's near the end of the year, we've had so many exciting and special guest on the show, and our perpetual praise Fridays have truly blessed my soul. Even if it's just Nichelle and I on the air, we still have the shows because the word says, where two or more are gathered in my name, there will I be in the midst.
We're also in the Thanksgiving season, what are you thankful for? The word says "Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!" His love endures forever, that's love. I love that verse because his love is Steadfast of resolutely or dutifully firm and unwavering. How many of us can say that we have people that love us like that? That unwavering kind of love, that's the type of God we have.
Join me, Hezekiah L. Montgomery, host of Man In The Mirror, and cohost Nichelle Johnson on November 18, 2016, at 9 PM as we host another Perpetual Praise Friday with a touch of Thanksgiving. Wow, that truly sounds exciting, Praise with at Twist of Thanksgiving!!!!! Call in at 917-889-2271 or log in at www.blogtalkradio.com/man-in-themirror and help us Give Thanks for He is Good.
This is My Story
Believe it or not, I have been in business since I was 5 years old! Now, before you call DCS on my parents, let me tell you that it was a fun, legitimate Easy-Bake Oven business where I would bake treats and the neighbors would buy them. So in essence, I have been in business for 25 years, but more recently, my work as an entrepreneur began in 2009, in Raleigh, NC.
In the early part of my entrepreneurial journey, I worked with the City of Raleigh helping business owners incubate and launch their creative ideas into thriving business. From there, I worked with Walgreens Co. to improve inventory/supply chain management and workplace culture in a way that would lead to increase overall profit increases.
During this same time, I also got my Masters Degree and certification in Blind and Vision Rehabilitation. This was certainly one of the most meaningful accomplishments since it was so dear to my heart. You see, when I was a child, my niece was legally blind in her left eye and I worked so hard to help her learn how to thrive with the lack of vision.
Join me, Hezekiah L. Montgomery host of Man In The Mirror and NIchelle Johnson co-host on November 11, 2016, at 9 PM as we welcome LaToya Rose to our platform. Call in at 917-889-2271 or log in online at www.blogtalkradio.com/man-in-themirror. There is so much more LaTorya has to tell us.

Pastor Monica went through many personal attacks growing up but never understood why. However, God showed up mightily and was with her through every situation. She knew that she was favored in His sight. Her life has been battle after battle, but also testimony after testimony to the goodness of God. Wow, I can't believe that two years ago we had our first show of Man In The Mirror. To tell the truth, I never knew that I'd be doing this. If you were to ask me would I do my own show after writing my book, I probably would have said no. But after my first interview on Healing Through Hurt with C Maria Wall about REDISCOVERING KIA, for some reason the Lord led me to have more interviews about my book, and then He said it's time to do your own show. Did I want to do it? no, that wasn't why I wrote the book. The book was to help people who may have messed up in life like I did and needed to find their way back to Him. Well, here we are now, celebrating two years and over 100 episodes later we're having cake...lol...
Please join me your host Hezekiah L. Montgomery and our lovely co-host Nichelle Johnson on October 14, 2016, at 9 PM as we start the celebration off on air. Call into 917-889-2271 or log into www.blogtalkradio.com/man-in-themirror. Come laugh with us, cry with us, or just hang with us as we talk about our favorite episodes in the past two years, let's just have a blessed time in the Lord and make the Devil mad.
Have you ever been on a journey and seem likes it's taking you forever to get there. Or, have you ever worked on a project and it seems that it's taking you forever to get it done. You know in your head what it should look like, but it's not coming out right. Oh, yeah, I remember this one, when you were younger and you go and do something and your parents tell you, baby, I knew how that was going to come out, been there done that. Well, we have a God that knows our very steps, the number of hairs on our head and also the plans of our life.
Right now we're all on a "Hurrican Matthew" watch, storms like that are like the storms in our life that seem to want to take us out. Does God know about those storms? yes, He does. Who's the one who calmed the sea with a single couple of words? He was. You see, God know's the plans that He has for us. Many time we think that we're in control of everything that's around us, that can become very tiring and stressful, trust me I know. When the Lord gave me this scripture "11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
Sometimes when we're going through we need that hope to give us the strength to keep going. Knowing that God knows the plans that He has for us.

As always, I've spoken with a group of friends this week and we were talking to one of our friends and trying to convince him not to give up. He's going through a lot right now and he has goals in mind. He's lead a rough life, as we all have, but he's not ready to quit. The conversation got deeper, one of the leaders said that you've survived so much now, that you don't want to quit now. The other's kept on the encouraging words, and then this hit me, no lie, "Cast Out Your Net." The Lord gave that to me to tell him, yes you've gone through a lot right not, but as the Lord told the disciples to cast their net's out on the other side and they obeyed even though they were fishing all night, they caught more fish than their boat could hold and they had to get help from another fish.
This thing we call life is not easy. Many times we set out to accomplish something and we get set back after setback. But it does not end there. Look at what happened to the disciples who were fishing all night, and let's remember that fishing was their profession as well. Let's bring this thing to today. Many of us have goals and ambitions, but sometimes we get a road block, life, but guess what? we could be like the disciples and say, I've been down that road before, but if Jesus says go again, or cast out your net, you won't know what will happen unless you do just as He says, Cast Out Your Nets!!!
Join me Hezekiah L. Montgomery host of Man In The Mirror and co-host Nichelle Johnson on September 2, 2016, at 9 PM as we have this great discussion. Call in at 917-889-2271, or log in at www.blogtalkradio.com/man-in-themirror. Talk to us and tell us if you've ever experienced this phenomenon in your life, did He tell you to cast out your net and you were scared.
I love God because he's always using other people to encourage me and comfort me and tell me that everything is going to be ok. I will be honest with you guys, I'm not perfect and I have my moments when I'm going through and I say to myself is God really here. I know at times we all have to honest ask that question, especially when things are just turned upside down and inside out. Please tell me I'm not the only one who's felt like that.
Last week I ran into an old colleague of mines and I told her that I've been through some things, and she just looked at me and said, the Devil peeked into my future and knew something special and wonderful was there. Somewhere in my future, God was going to use me, and Satan knew that. I looked at her and said you just read a sentence from my book, and you haven't even read it yet.
Then something else happened. I'm taking a class, and the one-night last week a classmate said had something special to share with all of us. She mentioned that she heard a radio show talk about the story of Joseph. She mentioned that the main theme was about what Joseph said to his brother "You intended it for hard, but God intended it for good." We're all in that class that we've all made mistakes in the past, but God allowed us to make it there. Out of 40 people that interviewed for the class, 11 of us make it and we're working hard. That's God. The Devil meant our pass to keep us down, but God said NOT SO!!!!!
Join me Hezekiah L. Montgomery host of Man In The Mirror and co-host Nichelle Johnson on Friday, August 26, 2016, at 9 PM as we discuss God's Greatest Intention. Call in at 917-889-2271 or log in at www.blogtalkradio.com/man-in-themirror. Call in tell us your stories of what the Devil meant for bad and how God intention turned it all the way around...
Good morning, Kia here with another Hezekiah Moment, The Greatest Intentions. This week we will be talking and discussing the story of Joseph from the Old Testament; the part at the end where he tells his brothers “What you meant for wrong, God meant it for Good.” Well, that’s what happened to Joseph. Due to his brother’s jealousy, they sold him into slavery because they didn’t want to kill their brother, they just wanted him out the way. But the story didn’t stop there, “36 Meanwhile, the Midianite traders arrived in Egypt, where they sold Joseph to Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. Potiphar was captain of the palace guard.” Our stories never have to end, if we trust and rely on God, he will get us back to where he wants us to be. He’s our GPS, he well redirects us and get us back on track to be in his will, why? Because he loves us that much that no one should perish. I can attest to that because I messed up, ended up somewhere I didn’t want to be, but that wasn’t the end of my story, God had something more for me to do once I got my act together and got my life back together with him. Those times are God’s Greatest Intentions, he intends that none be lost. Please join me Hezekiah L. Montgomery host of Man In The Mirror and co-host Nichelle Johnson Friday night August 26, 2016, at 9 PM as we discuss this in whole. Call in at 917-889-2271 or log into www.blogtalkradio.com/man-in-themirror, tell us your stories.
As we're working on the programming for Man In The Mirror I've come to the conclusion that sometimes we have to do a little change here and there to keep the show going. Well with that said, we have some great guest lined up for you this month, but we're going to work with their schedule. So, instead of having Perpetual Praise Friday on the third Friday of this month, we're doing it tomorrow evening. And due to wanting to support one of our favorite guest Ms. Carronne Jones who's performing tomorrow evening, we're going to do a remote show, meaning we're going to produce a show live at the spot where she is performing.
Join me Hezekiah L. Montgomery host of Man In the Mirror and co-host Nichelle Johnson on Friday, August 12, 2016, at 9 PM as we'll be out in the field interviewing our favorite guest the one and only Carronne Jones as she performs. Call in at 917-889-2271 or log in at www.blogtakradio.com/man-in-themirror. Listen in, give your praise report and help us support this great and anointed young songstress of God.
How many of us have ever heard of a LITTLE WHITE LIE? Or it's only one time, or my favorite is this sin is not a big sin. Well, my friends, the word says for the wages of sin is death Romans 6:23. But as we're allowed to go through this thing called life, sometimes we get caught up in it, and when we do people will tell you, well it's not that bad. It's that kind of thinking that gets us further and further away from God. You see sin cannot be in the site of God. No matter how big or small the sin is, sin is sin! People today put a kind of quantity on sin. It's that kind of thinking that get's us into trouble.
I titled this the weight of sin because a friend of mines gave me a great analogy about sin. She said sin and sins, are all the same if we look at it this way. I'm going to paint this picture for you, and when we have the show on Friday night August 5, 2016, then I'll give you the rest. Sin is like looking down on something we all love, Orio Cookies. When you look down on a stack they all look the same. So when we look down on sin, no matter what it is, they all look alike. But we have a society that puts weights and measures on wrong/sin. But you tell me, can I go to hell for stealing a penny? or lying to my mother. Which is the greater sin?
Join me Hezekiah L. Montgomery host of Man In the Mirror and co-host Nichelle Johnson on Friday, August 5, 2016, at 9 PM as we have this live debated discussion about the weights and degrees of sin. Call in at 917-889-2271 or log in at www.blogtalkradio.com/man-in-themirror. Please check the Hezekiah L. Montgomery Facebook page and check out the event page and see if you know the answer to the question of the night.
Good morning Kia here with another Hezekiah Moment. I can't believe that we've just celebrated 100 Episodes. I know that we could have never reached that number without the aid or God our father. All Nichelle and I did was adhere to the call and thus Man In The Mirror came to fruition. Now, let's talk a little about tomorrow night's show, The Weight of Sin? With a question mark. I Love that play on words, I did that on purpose because I like to make people think. But from speaking to a friend of mines a couple of weeks ago she gave me this concept of looking at sin. You see we have a bad habit of putting degrees on sin like one sin is better than the other, or one sin is lesser than the other. When she gave me this simple concept, it blew my mind. I would have never thought of it the way she explained it to me, and really when you hear there, it's going to blow your mind. But the only way you'll get to hear it, you'll have to tune in tomorrow night.
With that said, please join me Hezekiah L. Montgomery host of Man In The Mirror and Nichelle Johnson, co-host on August 5, 2016, at 9 PM as we dive into this interesting question. Call in at 917-889-2271 or log in to www.blogtalkradio.com/man-in-themirror.

With all I've been going through personally, the Lord led me to start reading through Job again. As I stated in my book "Rediscovering Kia" I read Job several years ago when I was in the BDF and learned a lot. But just a week ago when Satan was attacking ministry God led me to read it again. I read the first chapter and the first thing that hit me when I got to chapter 1:20, which I circled in a red pin, is that He fell to the ground in worship. That hit me hard. Job had just got a lot of bad news back to back, and he fell down in worship.
So, the Lord led me to do a show just on that, in all He Fell to the Ground in Worship. That's a hard pill swallow, even for me. But God's been dealing with me so I can give it to you.
Please join me Hezekiah L. Montgomery host of Man In The Mirror and Nichelle Johnson co-host as we discuss that one simple verse and what it means to us. Join on July 15, 2016, at 9 PM call in at 917-889-2271 or log in at www.blogtalkradio.com/man-in-themirror.

Have you ever had one of those days when nothing goes right? When you have a lot on your plate and you’re trying to get it all done? What do you do? Well, life has a habit of doing that. Again, what do you do? Tonight’s show was changed again in the midst of a very long week. But guess what, we have to be prepared for anything. So, besides having a long week, we’ve changed the show this evening so you guys can help us out.
Tonight we're continuing or having a part two from last week's discussion. We'll continue to talk about the process of what do you do when things go wrong. It’s like what did David do when he and his men came back from camp and all the women and children were gone because they left them unattended. At that very moment, his men were ready to stone him. What was David to do? What would you do if everyone turned their back on you and ready to do you in? And Remember, His mercies are new every morning.

Worship is a Sincere Expression of Love towards God, and Praise is what we do to show God that we adore Him. Praising God - The First Thing! Do you know that praising God is the best thing to do first before anything else? Have you ever been in a situation that you feel all alone? Or have you encountered a difficult situation in your life and you don't know what to do, like losing your job or suffering the loss of someone very close to your heart? Consider the good times such as when you receive a raise from your boss or earn high marks at school? What do you usually do during these moments? Praising God makes every circumstance of our lives complete, essential, and eminently worthwhile.
Webster defines the word praise as to say good things about and it is synonymous to words such as admire, commend, extol, honor, and worship. A definition of Christian praise is the joyful thanking and adoring of God, the celebration of His goodness and grace. This simply implies that the act of praising is rightfully due to God alone.
So with that said, tune into Man In The Mirror with your host Hezekiah L. Montgomery and co-host Nichelle Johnson as we have our VIII (8th) PPF-Perpetual Praise Friday on June 17, 2016 at 9 PM. Call in at 917-889-2271 or log in at www.blogtalkradio.com/man-in-themirror and give your praise report, pray with, or just help us praise the Lord.
The key through any dark time is a beacon of light, a beacon of inspiration and’ hope.
We are living in a dangerous time where young men are becoming dis-empowered, where they are expected to fall rather than rise. Where they are defined by their present circumstances, rather than taught how to shape and create their future.
Derik Barnes grew up in the rough streets of East Baltimore, and knows firsthand the deep and complex challenges of our young men and their environments. Derik was labelled as having a learning disability and put into special education from an early age. A label that could of forever changed how he defined himself and his potential. He saw things weren’t right, the odds weren’t in favor of young men on the rise. He saw things needed to change.
He enrolled himself into manhood training classes in his teens. In these classes he was guided by healthy male role models. Men who had vision, strength and understanding.
They gave them support, taught them what it truly means to be empowered, and shared the light of hope to see beyond what they know.
They focused on mental, physical and spiritual lavation for these young men, inspiring self-empowerment and the possibility of something more.
Join me Hezekiah L. Montgomery host of Man In The Mirror and Nichelle Johnson co-host on June 10, 2016 at 9 PM as we welcome Derik Barnes to our platform. Good evening Baltimore, Kia here with another Hezekiah Moment, Authors on the Real Part 2. As I stated last week we are paying tribute to authors this month, authors who are real people, with real stories who are real overcomers. Last week we had a dynamite lady on our show Ms. Rosheka Henry. She told us her story and, talked to a caller and even had time to give a copy of her book “Back From Broken” away, what a night.
This week we have another special guest with a story Mr. Derik Barnes, a Baltimore native and a man on fire to help other men. He’s an author, speaker, entrepreneur and motivator. And guess what he’s works for the Baltimore Fire Department.

The issues of females, young and old, have long been a topic for discussion and debate since the days of Eve. Books have been written about the differences of women and men such as Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus. I agree women are a special breed but there are issues that women deal with on a daily basis, from their own personal feelings about themselves to the way they are perceived and treated by society. Psalms 139:14 says "I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well."
So,God made no mistake in the creation of the female but is the Proverbs 31 woman stil l a reality? Women usually wear so many hats and sometimes perform roles they were not intended to perform. So,when you get down to it, are most of these issues self-inflicted or are they symptoms of our past and how females are treated in the home, in school, in the church, in society and in relationships? To start the conversation, tonight I have enlisted the help of several powerful women to discuss THE FEMALE PERSPECTIVE, in the Church,in the Family and in Society. We will discuss our issues, our roles and how women can receive healing.Tonight we welcome Dr. Vell Lyles, the dynamic 1st Lady of Emmanuel Ministries Church of God in Christ, Erica Stanley, the Groundbreaking Pastor of Masterpiece Community Connection Ministries, and Deaconess Sonia Legg of New Psalmist Baptist Church, who has been blessed to encounter and affect our young women in the Baltimore City school system.

Praise is what I do When I want to be close to You, I lift my hands in praise. Praise is who I am, I will praise Him while I can. I'll bless Him at all times. Yes, we need to bless Him as all times. It's Perpetual Praise Friday VII, and seven is the number of completion, but we're not done yet, we're just beginning. We want to keep this Praise Train going so that we make the Devil mad every time he see us prepping for this show.
We're now almost half way through this year and I hope you're like me, still hanging on. I've found out that not only does each day brings its own challenges, but each month as well. I hope you guys are doing better than me right now...lol...but guess what, I'm still standing. Every time I wake up I know the Devil is mad. I know he's saying, why doesn't this dude just stay down, but guess what, I have a fortitude that I inherited and we just don't fall down, we always get up.

The bible says "the righteous fall seven times, but they get up." How is that true. It's true because God knew that when he created us, man, that we would fall, sin, make mistakes and fall from Grace. But he provided a way for us to get our lives back in order and that was through His son Jesus Christ. When we fall, we don't have to stay there. We fall get up, ask God to forgive us and then start the healing process of our lives of getting back into His Grace.
Tonight we're going to talk about that process, that's the process that I've been going through for the past six years of my life. It's the process of healing and rebuilding. After my fall from Grace at one point in my life I actually thought about suicide, but that was just a brief moment. Then the Lord led be to write my book Rediscovering Kia, that was the healing process. Everything that I messed up in, everything that was going wrong, the Lord was starting the healing process in me. The healing process is used to get us back on track, and closer to Him.
Then after the healing process comes the rebuilding process. God starts slowly in His time, rebuilding your life, my life and granting favored in our lives. The rebuilding is a slow process, one brick at a time, one event at a time and even new relationships to replace the ones lost through tragedy.
Join me Hezekiah L. Montgomery host of Man In The Mirror our co-host Nichelle Johnson on Friday May 13, 2016 at 9 PM as we discuss the Healing and Rebuilding process that we all go through. Call in at 917-889-2271 or log in at www.blogtalkradio.com/man-in-themirror and tell us your story of healing and rebuilding.
Last week I chatted with a good friend of mines Ms. Kim Ford on Facebook and I receive some disturbing news. She told me that her 22-year-old baby boy was murdered in February of this year. That was very disturbing to me because as Christians if one of our brother and sisters hurt, we hurt. That could have been one of my relatives as well. There something going on in the atmosphere of Baltimore right now where our young Afro-American males think it's cool to kill and murder each other. Now we have a mother who will never see her son grow up, have a family and make something of himself. But the one pulling the trigger didn't think about that, he just pulled the trigger. And what got me is that she said that the "Coward" shot him in the back.
Well after hearing that news, I got to thinking how can we make it know that this isn't right in so many ways. So I called Daphne Alston of Mothers of Murdered Sons and Daughters, Dec. Thomas Farr, and Min. Larry Watkins. I want to get all the power hitters on the show along with Ms. Ford and let's talk about this thing and make it known that it's not right, and why is it happening. We need to expose the Devil for who he is and stop him from taking our children out. A parent should never outlive their children, but it's happening.
So please join me Hezekiah L. Montgomery host of Man In The Mirror and co-host Nichelle Johnson on May 7, 2016 at 9 PM as we bring on Ms. Kim Ford for support and our Power Panel as we discuss this pandemic that is getting out of control. Call in at 917-889-2271 or log in at www.blogtalkradio.com/man-in-themirror. Please join us as we support our sister Kim Ford.
Good evening Baltimore, Kia here with another Hezekiah Moment, When will it stop!!! I want to prepare you guys for the special show that we have coming up this Friday the 6th of May. I heard a few weeks ago that a friend of mines son was killed back in February and he was only 22. When she told me that it hit home, that this is REAL!!!! I was hurt because she was hurt. My mind started racing, and after giving her my condolences. I asked her if she'd be on the show and talk with us about it along with Daphne Alston of M.O.M.S. Mothers of Murdered Sons and Daughters. Then I got another thought let's bring on some men of God along with us to help us see what is going on with our young Afro-American men that they are killing, murdering, shooting, whatever you want to call it they are doing it.
I then called Dec. Thomas Farr of "Issues" Christian Men Talk, and Pastor Larry Watkins of Salt and Light Ministries and we're going to have a panel discussion on this ever so unfriendly issue, why is it happening, and When does it Stop!!!! This is our first panel discussion and we want you guys to call in, listen in, take notes, ask questions and pray with us that we'll all get some kind of understanding of it and will be able to support our sister as she's still mourning.
Join me, Hezekiah L. Montgomery host of Man In The Mirror and Nichelle Johnson our lovely co-host on May 6, 2016 at 9 PM as we welcome Ms. Kim Ford, Daphne Alston, Dec. Farr and Pastor Larry Watkins to the show and get a real understanding of what is going on and hopefully will be able support our sisters and brothers that are out there hurting. Call in at 917-889-2271 or log in at www.blogtalkradio.com/man-in-themirror.
As this has been Men of Stature Month we're ending this month with a bang. Our last Man of Stature will be non-other than Pastor Bill Jenkins, pastor of the Church of Acts in Indianapolis, IN. Yes, you heard, we’ve reached way out and he accepted the call to be on Man In The Mirror.

Rapidly becoming known as an Apostle of God with a prophetic voice, he works to release a message of hope in our world. He is the “go-to-guy” when it comes to understanding Biblical numbers and their scriptural significance. A devoted husband and father, his passion is for others to become successful as they apply the principles of Christ. Jenkins is a seasoned prophet whom God is raising up in the last of the last days, to tear down the devil’s strongholds, and to bring hope to the hopeless. As a seventeen-year-old with a strong passion for baseball, Bill Jenkins had an opportunity to sign a professional contract, but it was only three days before his 18th birthday when Jenkins had an encounter with God, which completely changed his life and future.

Good morning Baltimore, Kia here with another Hezekiah Moment, Men of Stature. We have kicked April off with talking about and with Men of Stature. What do we mean by Men of Stature? Well if we define stature, besides being a personas natural height, it’s said in the bible that “Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and man.” In other words, growing in God’s wisdom and walking in Gods favor. Pointing others to God.
We had our first guest Mr. Romeko Morton who has a dynamite story and is truly a man of stature. He suffered with low self-esteem which led him down the road of drug addiction and even a failed marriage, but it wasn’t until he decided with the grace and help of the almighty that he turned his life around, repeated to himself “I AM A SUCCESS STORY IN DEVELOPMENT” that he was ready to stop all the things that he was doing wrong to himself, started loving himself the way God loved him and then was on the road to become one of the greatest motivational speakers around.
Our God is the only one that can take something that was broken in the worlds sight, and slowly start taking the pieces and putting them back together to form something that will now glorify him.
You’re not going to want to miss anything that’s happening with us this month, we’re bringing great Men of Stature on air and they will BLOW YOUR MIND!!!
Early in his life, he had suffered with low self-esteem (insecurities and fears, too much emphasis on what others might think or say about him, Lack of confidence in decisions, Focus more on negative than positive aspects of his personality and life, constantly comparing himself to others, just to name a few) and that cloud hovered over a great portion of his life. Bad decisions and choices were made based on his low self-esteem. The need for other people's approval, along with the need to be a people pleaser, was fueled by his low self-esteem. His addiction to drugs, alcohol, or anything that would allow him to escape his reality was a product of his low self-esteem. Never being able to complete anything was the result of his low self-esteem. Hating himself so much that he spent most of his life trying to imitate other people who he thought would make him seem more attractive, was definitely because of his low self-esteem.
But today, he has a wonderful life, all because He loved me today and have a very healthy and fruitful sense of self-awareness. He reminds himself every day that he is “A SUCCESS STORY…IN THE DEVELOPMENT”. This transformation didn’t occur over night, but the desire for it did.
Join me Hezekiah L. Montgomery host of Man In The Mirror and co-host Nichelle Johnson as we start Men of Stature month of with the one and only Romeko Morton CEO and Founder of RAISE to our platform. A few episodes ago we were talking to a guest and we mentioned these few words "A No Matter What Faith." I said at that time wow, we have to use that in a show, so here we go. I've been thinking about that since that show. We use that phrase no matter what all the time. But do you clearly understand what that means. I looked up the meaning of No Matter What "In any event, without regard to what happens (in the future)," and "Whatever the conditions are." Then I looked up the word Faith "complete trust or confidence in someone or something." So when we combine them both we have this "In any event, with regard to what happens (in the future), we have complete truest or confidence in someone or something, and to us we're talking about complete trust and confidence in God, hence the term, No Matter What Faith.
How many of us can say that, I mean really say that? Can you say that I have A No Matter What Faith in God? Yes, it's easy to say, but is it easy to live. The word says Hebrews 11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. So our hope is in God No Matter What.
Join me Hezekiah L. Montgomery host of Man In The Mirror and Nichelle Johnson cohost on March 11, 2016 at 9 PM as we get on air and talk about that No Matter What Faith. Tell us your No Matter What story, we've love to hear it. We all have been to a point where we have to say No Matter What I will trust Him. Call in at 917.889.2271 or log into our chatroom at www.blogtalkradio.com/man-in-themirror.
Good evening, Kia here with another Hezekiah Moment No Matter What Faith. Tomorrow night we will be discussing A No Matter What Faith. We've all been in situations where we don't know how it's going to turn out, we had to be like Peter and say "Help me Lord." We can't see a way out, but he's always on time. We had to have a No Matter What Faith. A no matter what it looks like, the substance of things unseen, we had to believe that it's going to work out.
Is it easy, no, I'm going through some things now, but because of you guys and this show, God is teaching me to have that No Matter What Faith. So we want you guys to call in tomorrow night at 9 PM to 917.889.2271 and join me and Nichelle as we talk about a No Matter What Faith. You guys have things going on in your life as well and we want to touch and agree with you as you touch and agree with us. We laugh, cry pray and just have a good time in the Lord. Yea, let's all have that No Matter What Faith.
Like many, Carronne Jones musical career started as a child singing in her church’s choir. However, most singers are not fortunate enough to have songwriters, producers, & musicians as parents. Being around her parents, Bishop Dr. Carroll & Rev. Dr. Jacqueline Jones, allowed Carronne to learn from and be exposed to some of the best musicians, producers, and National Gospel Recording artists. It can truly be said that the musical expressiveness and creativity around Carronne ignited a fire in her that exist to this very day.
As she matured mentally and musically, Carronne started to think about pursuing a solo career. Carronne said, “As long as I can remember, music has always been a part of my existence.” Carronne has been gracing venues with her soulful and inspirational sound and featured artist in many churches.
With performances often described as Soulful, Inspirational, and Uplifting, this Award winding National Recording Artist believes in “Singing for the Soul.”
This Maryland native and graduate from Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland received the 2013 FMV Gospel Soul Award; and is currently nominated for the Kingdome Image Award (Best Gospel Artist of the Year), Independent Gospel Artist Radio Alliance Award (Contemporary Artist of the Year and Urban Contemporary Artist of the Year).

Good afternoon Baltimore, Kia here with another Hezekiah Moment, introducing Carronne Jones. Today I’ll talk just a little bit about Carronne who will be interviewed this Friday the 4th of March at 9 PM. As I told you a few weeks ago, I just brought a newer vehicle and there was a CD inside the CD player. I didn’t think anything of it, but when I finally decided to listen to it I found out that it was a praise CD and that the songstress who was singing was Carronne Jones. I took a chance and contacted her on Facebook and guess what, she answered me and it was on from there.
I then told her about the one song that I liked which was the last song on her CD called “Without You” and that I fell in love with that song. I asked Carronne would she come onto the show and tell us her story and she agreed, and I know that was all God. You know us men we don’t check to many things out after we get the car and since I mainly listen to the radio, it was by fluke that I listened to the CD and the rest is history.
So join me Hezekiah L. Montgomery host of the Man In The Mirror and cohost Nichelle Johnson on Friday March 4, 2016 as we welcome Ms. Carronne Jones to our platform. Call in at 917.889.2271 or log in at www.blogtalkradio.com/man-in-themirro
We all grew up with heroes in our lives. Some, super heroes or someone in our life that we've called a hero. Many times we even emulate some of the things that we've learned from them. We are now in the Easter season; I have a hero from that story. You see, I know that the real story of Easter is that Jesus died on the cross and then rose on Easter. But there was a hero that I can relate to. That was the thief on the cross. He was up on that cross because he messed up and was being punished for his crime, but Jesus did nothing and was up there alongside of him.He knew Jesus didn't do anything and was being punished unjustly. But he just said a few words to Jesus "Remember me when you come into your kingdom." And Jesus being who he is, stopped dying and said "Today thou shalt be with me in paradise." The thief didn't have time to do any anything special but repent, and Jesus stopped dying and forgave him.
In Rediscovering Kia, I wrote about my sin, the church found out and it wasn't a pretty sight. I was expecting Christian love from them to help me, pray with me, teach me, and bring me back into the fold. There was gossip, and they tried to bring me before the board. What I'm saying is this, we have to show love even when it's hard to show love, Christ did. He stopped dying for a brief moment to save that thief who knew he was wrong. I can relate to that thief, I was wrong, I sinned, at that time I needed love to bring me back into the fold, but it didn't happen.
Join me Hezekiah L. Montgomery host of The Man In the Mirror and Nichelle Johnson Co-Host on 2/26/16 as we explore our Heroes of the Bible. We'll want you to call in at 917-889-2271 or log in at www.blogtalkradio.com/themaninthemirror and tell us about your bible hero and how they changed your life.
Good morning Kia here with another Hezekiah Moment, A Easter Here. I guess you’re wondering what I’m going to be talking about. We know that Easter is about the resurrection of Christ. Well I’ll be talking about biblical hero’s. I’ll be talking about my Bible Hero. Yes, we have Christ on the cross, but my hero was up there with him. My hero was the thief on the cross who just said remember me. I’m not going to give it all to you today because I want you to tune it tomorrow night, but remember there are a lot of Bible heroes that we all can relate to.
I love thinking about all the stories that I’ve read in the bible and see myself in many of them. You have Gideon who was testing God to make sure that God was going to be with him when he went into battle. He just wanted to be real sure that he knows that if he goes into battle that God was going be by his side.
It’s stories like that that make me say, if he did it back then, he can do it today. God loved his people back then and he loves them today. So if you have a bible hero, we want you to call in tomorrow night February 26, 2016 at 9:00 PM at 917-889-2271 or log in at www.blogtakradio.com/themaninthemirror and join us as we discuss A Easter Hero. It’s going to be a blast I promise you. You may just learn something.
David said, I will bless the Lord at all time, his praise shall be continually on my mouth Psalms 34:1. Hey guys are you still praising Him? I know it's hard, we just had Christmas then the New Year came in. We just had Valentines, bills are still coming in, we're the second month of the New Year, and yea Hezekiah, you asking a crazy question right now. I know I'm asking a hard question but guess what, God is still God.
God say this in Psalms 50:10 For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. He's telling us that if I own the cattle on a thousand hill's then our little problems are nothing to him. I'm excited, I have problem left and right, but can I worry about them, no I can't. It's a sin to worry because He said cast all your anxiety's on him. So that's what I have to do.
So yes we need to keep these Perpetual Praise Fridays going because we do need to take time out to praise him. Please join us on Friday, February 19, 2016 at 9 PM as we give our praise reports, shout outs, and just have a good time in the Lord. We'll be looking for you at the Mirror.
Good afternoon Baltimore, Kia here with another Hezekiah Moment, With You. The Lord blessed me with a vehicle a month ago today. As I'm still learning my new vehicle, I checked out the CD and low and behold there was a CD in there with an artist that I've never heard of before. So today as I was running around taking care of my errands and business I listened to it and guess what this artist by the name of Carronne Jones blessed me truly. The one song that I loved was the last one, Without Youi, she's praising God telling him that I can't do it without. What happens she knew that she can't do anything without Him. That is a praise in itself.
I can see her pointing up in the sky towards heaven as she's singing this song Without You. Well as we're preparing for another Perpetual Praise Friday let's think of that song and also what Jeremiah said in "Jeremiah 17:4 Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for you are my praise." I don't know about you; he is my praise.
I'm not saying that everything is going right, right now. What I'm saying is that I know I can make it even when it looks dark. I know with him, he will keep me in perfect peace if my mind is stayed on him. So please join us tomorrow night Friday February 19, 2016 at 9 PM as we have another Perpetual Praise Friday and tell us what the Lord has done for you.

He grew up to hard working parents that retired, doing what they believed was right and lived on their retirement. That's not enough nowadays. They were lied to, and his book was written to change the future of its readers, so that you'll have it better than him and his ancestors. We are to progress forward in all areas of life. He watched not only his parents struggle, but also all his aunts, uncles, and friends to this day. He believed it doesn't have to be this way. He wanted to change all that, and he would die behind this principle alone: to make life better for those around him. When he was little a guy, he always saw himself as a great innovator like Marcus Garvey, or a profound thinker like Frederick Douglass, or the black Tony Stark (“Ironman”). He was a young problem solver, inventor, and business owner.
He stayed in his imagination. He was an A & B student, studied and worked hard, yet he was always curious about life, like how and what he can do to contribute to the world. He owned Legos & Knex. he would build everything you could imagine, and then go beyond the expectations of the creators of the toy. He used to take apart everything and put it together again, until he started my first business. He was about 6 or 7, when he began to sell comic books. Next, he opened his candy business. This young man was busy...
Join me Hezekiah L. Montgomery host of The Man In The Mirror, and my guest co-host Deacon Thomas Farr from "Issues Christian Men Talk, as we interview this young man, the Black Tony Stark, a man with a vision, the one and only Major Alonzo Byrd Jr. He'll give us the 411 about how he became an entrepreneur, author and how he motivates our young people today with the Y.U.P Incentive.
Good afternoon, Kia here with another Hezekiah moment.Today we'll talk about briefly Major Alonzo Byrd Jr. His show is being aired live on Friday February 5, 2016 at 9 PM and you're not going to want to miss this show. I want to first thank my good friend Ms. Joi Ford for telling me about this amazing young man. She told me in the beginning of this new year that I should have him on the show, and me being one that listens, I called him up last weekend, and he was obedient to the call and said yes, and I'm truly excited to have him on this week.
Also, we'll have another treat as well, since our regular co-host Nichelle Johnson is still taking her well needed vacation, I've asked another good friend of ours to help out this week, and it's none other than Deacon Thomas Farr of "Issues" Christian Men Talk. So we are just going to have a great time in the Lord this Friday night.
A little about Major Alonzo Byrd. He was about 6 or 7, when he began to sell comic books. Next, he opened his candy business. Then, he sold magazines, school supplies, and fireworks. He was that “go-to-guy” for supplies, and that lasted until he was 15, and able to work. He shoveled snow, mowed lawns, and washed cars. He wished he'd never stopped, because of the freedom and ability to control his own destiny. He wished he learned the principles in his book 24 years ago! he wished someone taught him what he is missing today.
YUP, Young, Unique, And Paid! 10 Entrepreneurial Keys for Kids is his contribution to the younger generation, from being an entrepreneur since the age of six, he wants our young people to understand that, yes, I'm young, but guess what, I can get paid!
So join us on The Man In The Mirror Friday night at 9 PM As we welcome Major Byrd to the show.
Valentine's Day is fast approaching,it feels as if we just got over Christmas, spent a lot of money, going back to work to pay that dept. off, and then a month and a half later there's Valentine's.Go figure, then what happens, we spend more money to get that special someone, if you have a special someone, something special for Valentia’s Day. Valentines is the day of love, so we say, do you know that many people break up before Valentine's even gets here.Valentines, is the most expensive holiday of the year, and why is that? Well let's just take a peek and see what's really going on with Valentines,
The history of Valentine’s Day,and the story of its patron saint–is shrouded in mystery. We do know that February has long been celebrated as a month of romance, and that St. Valentine’s Day, as we know it today, contains vestiges of both Christian and ancient Roman tradition. But who was Saint Valentine, and how did he become associated with this ancient rite?
While some believe that Valentine’s Day is celebrated in the middle of February to commemorate the anniversary of Valentine’s death or burial–which probably occurred around A.D. 270–others claim that the Christian church may have decided to place St. Valentine’s feast day in the middle of February in an effort to “Christianize” the pagan celebration of Lupercalia.Celebrated at the ides of February, or February 15, Lupercalia was a fertility festival dedicated to Faunus, the Roman god of agriculture, as well as to the Roman founders Romulus and Remus.

As we're now in 2016 let's start this 1st month of the year off right. I hope many of you started off the New Years as I and my family did, we were in church on our knees bringing thank Him. 2015 is gone, we made mistakes, we've met new people, we've gotten rid of old people and we've made New Year’s resolutions. But the best part is that if you're listening tonight then you made it along with me. So we have something to praise Him about, we want to start this year off right. We want to be in rare form so when Satan starts his attacks and he will, we will be ready for him.
So join me Hezekiah L. Montgomery host of The Man In The Mirror and co-host Nichelle Johnson as we welcome the new years in again with praise, worship and just giving thanks for bringing us this far. Tell us your praise for this night, this year and what you want God to help or bless you with.
Good morning Baltimore, Kia here with another Hezekiah Moment, and I'm just excited. It's the 11th day of 2016 and I'm still Praising Him. How many of you are still praising him since the beginning of the New Year? Many people praise him when the New Year’s comes and then that's it. But this is the time in our lives that we're to praise him every day.
We said when we had our first perpetual praise Friday last year that we're going to continue it because it's good just to praise Him. So that's what we're doing. Every 3rd Friday we have dedicated to Perpetual Praise. So join us this Friday January 15, 2016 at 9 PM as we get our praise on....
Oh yea, join us where? Here on The Man In The Mirror with your host and co-host Hezekiah L. Montgomery and Nichelle Johnson. We'll be getting our praise on!!!!!!!
She was raised in North Philadelphia (Wendell Street 6th & Allegheny) with her mother, father, & my 2 brothers until her mother moved us up to Magnolia and Haines street (Germantown area). She went to private school Triumph Baptist Church from kindergarten to 7th. Her home church was Second Mennonite located on the 2100 block of Indiana Street. So between Second Mennonite & her private school, she had to learn the meaning of God’s Love, accepting individuals for who they are because no one is ‘Perfect’.
She's now back down North Philadelphia again, it looks and feels different to her now, her peers have different rules than her house and she's still in the mindset of wanting to help others and worrying whether or not she will be accepted due to her thinking differently. Which put her in a spot light of her peers; thinking it’s ok to try her; because she really didn't want any trouble. She became the target of her peers teasing her, call her out. She became angry at her mom, she's thinking to herself why do we seem so different from others, why do my peers think I'm a sell out? I'm only a teenager; how could I be a sell out? My mother tried to explain to me that everyone raises their children differently. Of course she was not trying to hear that, all she knew was her life is a mess no one likes her, she didn't have friends and why did she want to keep helping others when no one is helping her?
Join us Hezekiah L. Montgomery & Nichelle Johnson hosts of The Man In The Mirror as we welcome Charmain Ingram to our platform as she gives her testimony and about The Great Mrs. Fortune Foundation.

Good morning Baltimore, Kia here with another Hezekiah Moment, Introducing Charmaine Ingram. I'm truly excited to have this young lady on the show this week because she's a young lady from my home town of Philadelphia, and also I've watched this young lady grow up. She's now a phenomenal woman. She been threw the press, and has come out to be a truly wonderful woman of God doing things now that she's never thought she would be doing.
She's now back down North Philadelphia again, it looks and feels different to her now, her peers have different rules than her house and she's still in the mindset of wanting to help others and worrying whether or not she will be accepted due to her thinking differently. As the New Year is upon us, I told you that we were going to mix things up. So here is one of those mix ups. On January 1st at 9 PM we are opening our lines up to the young people. With so many bad things going on in Baltimore right now, it's a blessing to see that there are young people out there that are doing something positive. Let's talk to one of those young people this week.
Kirsten Whiting is a high school junior, singer, and actress. She became interested in pursuing a career in the entertainment industry following a major role in the 2010 Winands Elementary School musical production of Mostly Motown. Kirsten attended Sudbrook Magnet School where she studied vocal music, while there she had the opportunity to show her acting abilities in the school musical “13”. While at Sudbrook, she took an interest in history and government. In 2013 Kirsten starred as Balthasar in the stage play Much Ado about Nothing. Currently, Kirsten participates in mock trial and is auditioning for her school musical, Little Shop of Horrors. She is a member of the National Society for High School Scholars, the National Honor Society, and is a class officer for the class of 2017 at Randallstown High School. When she gets older, she would like to pursue a career in entertainment or politics.

So pass this along, tell all the other young people to listen in, call in and hear Kirsten's story.
Good morning Baltimore, Kia here with another Hezekiah Moment, Happy New Years. As this year is ending, this is my final show of this year. Wow, we've been on The Man In The Mirror network for 14 months now and we're still standing. I thank God for pushing me to do this when I didn't even know that I was going to do it. I also thank C Maria Wall for planting that first seed in me with my first interview with her show Healing Through Hurt in the summer of 2013. God has really been good to me, you see, as I said in my book "REDISCOVERING KIA" what Satan meant for bad, God turned it around and made a good thing come out of it.
That's what I want to leave with you guys my listening audience, whatever it looks like, look again, God is always there, we just have to look with our spiritual eyes and not our natural eyes. He loves us too much to let anything happen to us. Nothing happens to us without his knowledge. He knew that after I with through my storm, I'd be here with you ministering to you through The Man In The Mirror with our Mantra Real People, Real stories, Real Overcomers. We are all real and we all have a story, and we need to tell those stories so other can be healed through our testimony.
So as we're closing out 2015 and moving into 2016, don't do any new year’s resolutions, be on your knees, open you bible and thank God for bringing you through another year. Remember not everyone that came into 2015 is here with us, but you are. Thank God, praise him, tell him you love him, and I’ll see you next year with our first show airing Friday night at 9 PM on January 1st.
HAPPY NEW YEARS

Good morning Baltimore, Kia here with another Hezekiah moment, and I'm truly excited, we're getting closer and closer to the finished product of the makeover of Rediscovering Kia. I've been emailing back and forth with my new publisher Purposely Created Publishing and they have been education me.
The new thing is working on branding Hezekiah L. Montgomery and knowing that everything that comes from that brand will be different. So with that said Tie had me come up with a new sub title to the book. She schooled me again, she told me basically that the old subtitle from tribulation to triumph and a second chance is old and over used. So she worked with me to come up with something else, and said keep it less than ten words. And we came up with something that will knock your socks off. When she finally got something that worked I really liked it.
So folks, we have a week and a day and the new makeover of Rediscovering Kia will be out on the market. I'm excited because I'm ready to move this thang to the next level.
So please be looking out for the new release of "REDISCOVERING KIA" eBook with a new look on December 17, 2015. Download it and enjoy the ride!!!

Good morning Baltimore and surrounding cities. Hezekiah here, I'm here giving you another Hezekiah Moment, and this moment is titled week two of the REDISCOVERING KIA makeover, and this makeover is being done by Purposely Created Publishing Group under the direction of Tieshena David h, founder and CEO. I'm truly excited because, to be honest I'm at another level in my life where I'm ready to conquer mountains. The word says be still and know that I am God, so I'm being obedient and doing just that. As I started talking to you a couple of weeks ago about taking my baby, my first novel to the next level, I told you that I'm taking you on the ride with me. This way we will both be surprised with the finished project. The launch date that I talked about with Tieshena is December 17th 2015, so if you look at your Calendars that's basically two weeks from tomorrow.
Why am I taking you with me, because many of you like me have a story, you've said that I want to write a book, I'm going to write a book, how do I write a book, and how can I get my story out there. The only simple answer that I give people is, just start writing, write a little a day, or a little a week, but just write. No rhyme or reason, just write. don't think about editing, that's the editors job, your job is to get whatever is in your beautiful mind, the story that God's given you to write, and get it down!
Then when it's time to have it published, you'll know and if you keep listening in to these episodes, and take this ride with me, and listen to these authors that are on the show this month, I guarantee that you'll be ready to write your story, and call Tie. But the best part of writing is, just enjoy the ride, and then you'll be able to reap the benefits at the end.
Good morning, as we're Celebrating Authors This Christmas Season 2015, you've seen the video, you've checked out the event page on Facebook, and knowing some of you, you probably checked out their websites that I've supplied in the event page. Well it's about to happen and it's happening this week. Our first author will air on Friday night December 4, 2015 at 9 PM. And who might that be, well the one and only Ms. Kemya L. Scott, or as she likes to be called Miss Kemya.
Miss Kemya is the author of "I'm On Social Media, Now What Do I Say?" one of the books published by Purposely Created Publishing Group. I know, you're asking what can this book possibly tell me about social media that I don't already know? Many of us are Facebook professionals, Twitter junkies, and even gmail-a-haulics. But guess what, there is more to that.
I'm On Social Media, Now What Do I Say? is designed to provide effective beginner training for key social media tools wit advanced exercises. Whether you're an aspiring or established entrepreneur, I’m On Social Media, Now What Do I Say? is designed with you in mind.
Please Join Nichelle as me on December 4, 2015 at 9 PM as we welcome Miss Kemya to The Man In The Mirror platform, as she tells us her story and then straightens us all out about this social media thing.
Ms. Flora Carter was borne on May 22, 1950. She was raised with the best of both worlds and was able to experience the American and African culture growing up as her mother was from North Carolina and her dad was from Sierra Leone, Africa. Her mom died when she was 11 and her dad raised her. This resulted in Flor starting her independence early at age 17. Flor is a product of the District of Columbia Public School system and attended college at Washington Technical Institute. She has always been a hard working person which was instilled early by her dad. She started working in middle school, at the nurses' office at school and has worked in the Federal Trade Commission, Department of Energy, the Justice Department and several contracting positions. She retired in 2013 from International Monetary Fund where she worked in record management. She has on daughter and two granddaughters.
Flora fought to overcome verbal, physical, financial, and sexual abuse. She has worked to help others understand and know that domestic violence is a choice that should not be made. She says, "The cycle must be broken. I am not a victim, but victorious, I am a survivor. I now educate and advocate with perons to end the cycle."
Join me Hezekiah L. Montgomery host of The Man In The Mirror and Co-Host Nichelle Johnson as we welcome this dynamic survivor to The Man In The Mirror platform. She'll tell us more about her story, and share with us how the Lord is now using her to help stop domestic violence one victim at a time. We'll find out how she helps turn them from victims to victors and become as she says victorious. Just a reminder that Domestic Violence Is Real!!!

So stay prayed up, keep The Man In The Mirror in prayer, and let's get ready and keep the praise reports going.
Good morning Baltimore, Kia here and I want to get you ready for the Christmas Holiday Season. We're going to celebrate the month of December as author's month. And guess what? These authors were published by our past guest Tieshena Davis of Purposely Created Publishing. She's an award-winning publisher of 50+ bestselling titles. It would behoove me not to have some of those bestselling authors on The Man In The Mirror platform. Please put these dates on your calendar December 4th, 11th, 18th, and 26th. I know Christmas is the 25th, but this is something you're not going to want to miss.
A lot of you have always said to yourself "I want to write a book" and I'm sure these fellow authors have said the same thing, but after they met Tieshena she helped them turn their "I want to" into "I did." With just the right help and aspiration we can achieve anything. Why am I saying this, because I was one of those years ago. After I went through my storm in life, and almost went out of my mind with what was going on around me, I began writing REDISCOVERING KIA, I didn't know what was going to become of it, I just wrote. That writing began to be my therapy. I had gone to therapy before, but as I was writing, I was getting it all out. Whatever was in me, it came out and got onto paper.
That was off and on for three years; then came the part of publishing it, and the long short is that good friend of mines helped me and we got it out on eBook, then later I got the paperback out. Here's the kicker and you're the first to hear it. I had a consultation with Tieshena yesterday and she's going to help me re-do and get a better copy out of the eBook for the holidays and then we'll work on the paperback. And I'm taking you guys with me along the way.
In Psalms 34:1 David said "I will bless the Lord at all times His praise shall continually be on my mouth." That is a very deep statement, how many of us can really say that. How many of us can say regardless of what is going on in my life I can Praise the Lord at all times. Yes it can be difficult, but not impossible. I remember when I was locked up in the BDF for almost 90 days and I was trying to get out so I can get help for myself. I wasn't just trying to get out; I was missing praise and worship at church. In all my years of living, I was never away from church for that long, and even when I tried to get to bible study and church in the facility, I couldn't even get there. I basically had to continue to praise Him regardless which led me to starting bible study and having church in my cell, and guess what, others started coming and worshiping with me. So I guess David was right, we have to bless Him at all times. God was showing me that I had to stop looking at self and look at all the lost souls that were around me.
That was one chapter in my life, and I'm still praising Him, why because even though I'm not locked up for a small brief moment in my life, I'm unemployed, but guess what, that's my praise report, I'm still thanking and praising Him, why because I have a little more time to get things in order in my life that I have been putting off, and I have time to talk to you, my listening audience and hear what you have to say and pray for you and you pray for me. That's what it's all about, learning from each other, and getting the word out that Jesus is Lord and that we're not alone. So let's continue to praise Him. So on Friday, November 20, 2015 tune in at 9 PM and join us for Perpetual Praise Friday II. We're keeping this thing moving and praising Him in Advance.

LaQuisha Hall, the “Unbothered Queen” of Confidence, goes far beyond what is expected of her. There was a time in LaQuisha’s life where she was not confident in much. LaQuisha is a force to be reckoned with in communities. She is an award winning community service leader winning regional, state and national pageant titles including Mrs. Essence 2013. She founded the SheRose Awards to give a platform to abuse survivors to share their own stories. (The Etiquette Academy), committed to encouraging and teaching teen girls about personal safety, feminine etiquette and positive self-esteem. Join me Hezekiah L. Montgomery host of The Man IN The Mirror and co-host Nichelle Johnson as we welcome this AWESOME, I can't wait till we speack to her woman to our show. You're jaw will drop after hearing what she has to say.
If you're read my book you'll notice that I've been married twice. I learned a long time ago after marriage that you need to know someone before you marry them, or at least give yourself time to get to know them before you tie the knots. I learned the hard way that my first wife had an anger management problem and when she got mad she would start hitting me. Mind you she didn't do this while we were courting, but it soon came after the I do's. I took this off and on beating, the pushing down the steps, the hitting me upside my head with a glass object for several years until I broke and finally fought back, and then I got into trouble with the law because I had never said anything about her beating me. I said to myself, which was wrong of me that she was only doing it because her father had the same problem and beat her mom years ago before they divorced. Well I think that's what all victims think or make excuses about. I myself watched my father abuse my mom too, and made a promise that I would never do that, but I'll admit that after three or four years of that I snapped one time and regretted ever since.
The thing I didn't realize is that that seed along with other mess was in me and I didn't even realize it till years later. And when other mess was building up in me, or as Pastor Larry Watkins put it, when Satan slow walked me into my mess, instead of being abused I became the abuser.I'm glad God slowed me down, forgave me and put me here to help others and get the word out that domestic abuse, sexual abuse and all the other abuse is REAL.
Join me this Friday November 13, 2015 as we Welcome LaQuisha Hall to The Man In The mirror platform and she continues to tell us about her powerful role in helping and educating those who have been through domestic violence and then empowers them to go beyond what they've been through.
After being abandoned in Philadelphia by her mother as an infant, and watching her father battle with drug addiction throughout her early childhood and teenage years; Tieshena naturally developed the ability to decipher and resolve challenges. At the age of sixteen, she dropped out of high school and moved to Washington, DC on her own to attend Job Corp. During this new journey, she began to accept her obstacles as life-changing opportunities, which fueled her ambition to work hard towards her achieving goals.
Described as an inspirational force, Tieshena utilizes her personal stories of childhood tragedy, courage and tenacity as tools to educate and empower her clients, audiences and friends. She is the bestselling author of the #1 inspirational self-help anthology for women, Surviving Shocking Situations: Finding Courage To Succeed In Spite of Life’s Painful Moments. She believes through sharing our stories we heal, prepare and propel for a new life, full of possibilities and opportunities to thrive.
Join me Hezekiah L. Montgomery host of The Man In The MIrror and Nichelle Johnson co-host as we welcome this dynamite and fantastice women to out show. She'll tell more about her beginnings and what pushed her to keep going regardless of what her pass presented to her.
As we go through this thing we call life, it can really take a toll on us. At one time in my life I thought I was exempt from that, but guess what I wasn't. When I got caught up in my sin and God allowed me to suffer the consequences that came along with sin I really didn't know what to do. I was in a very dark place in my life, not just spiritually, but physically. I'm just as human as everyone else, I said to myself that "would never happen to me" or "I would never do that," and not too long after saying that I had my moment of "30 seconds of Stupidity" quoted from a pastor friend of minds. I got caught up in sin, Satan slow walked me and I never seen it coming, it just came!
He took the little sexual escapades that I started to dab in here and there in and turned it into a full blown monster. Did I see it coming, ah no, but it came. See we never thought that we wouldn't get caught because we always say we know what we're doing. But do we really know what we're doing, that's the trick the enemy puts in our minds. Well he did the same to me and I fell for it hook, line and sinker. I was slow walked to a slow death; A death that was about to separate me from my father in heaven.
Join me Hezekiah L. Montgomery host of The Man In The Mirror and Co-Host Nichelle Johnson as we discuss what happens when we're in that dark place in our life and we can't see the light at the end of the tunnel. You'll hear things that I didn't even mention in my book because It was too much. Just remember, all you need to see it that little light, and you'll know there is hope
Not everyone does something wrong. Some just make stupid mistakes that have consequences and ramifications. As I leaned this over the weekend I learned that I went through all of this and didn't know what was going on until it happened. Then God led me at this point in my life to learn that it was 30 seconds of Stupidity. It takes 3 things present for this to work, motive, means, and opportunity, after that it's all she wrote. I also learned that Satan won't tempt you with something that he knows you won’t go for, he's going to get you with something he knows you’re weak in, and he’s waiting for you to lower your guard. That's what he did to me, I was complacent, didn't think it would happen to me. He knew my weakness even when I didn't know what it was. He was just waiting for that opportunity.
There are many things that I didn't talk about in my book, but will discuss a few now, and more later. When I went through my 30 seconds of stupidly and ended up in the Baltimore Detention Facility it was dark to me and I was surrounded by a lot of spirits. Here I am a Christian young man who made a stupid mistake and ended up here. But God needed me there to be a light for those that I was surrounded by, did I know that at the time, no, all I was trying to do was get out. God had a mission for this man that fell, and I was rebelling like a child even then. But until I learned my lesson I wasn't going anywhere. Yes it was dark and back then I couldn't see a light anywhere.

Wow, as I'm thinking about this show I'm thinking about how it's our one year anniversary show. Yes that's what I said, one year that "The Man In The Mirror" has been on. Our first show aired October 17, 2014, it was an interesting show, I was a novice, but I did it. My mentor C Maria Wall has been there helping me behind the scenes each time. By our 5th Show my now Co-Host Nichelle Johnson was being interviewed and people liked her, so guess what, we made her a regular as she join our network. And here we are celebrating 26 shows with more to come. We've had our ups and downs, but we kept pushing.
I've made it a commitment to learn something from each guest and from each show that the Lord allowed us to do and air. Again I'm thanking you guys who's listened and supported and have spread the word about Hezekiah L. Montgomery and The Man In The Mirror. All of our guest have been special to us and have become part of us.

You're probably asking, now what is Hezekiah talking about now, asking crazy questions what do we do when life throws us lemons? Well I'm glad you asked. It's like this, there are laws that when you buy are car and later it's deemed defective and the dealer has to make good on it, or give you a refund. That's called the lemon law to protect us the consumers. Well, life has a way of making many twists and turns on us as we're going through. It can seem as though we're on a roller coaster. Many times we call those lemons, the sour things in life that throw us off and try's to stop our growth or our moving forward.
Who protects us when life gets real crazy and we may be at our wits end? How do we respond? As I was thinking these past couple of weeks trying to figure out tonight’s topics, this came to me. I've been going through myself, life’s been throwing me lemons. But for some reason I've been at peace with every lemon that's been thrown at me. Why? Well God has given me peace through the storm. He's shown me that relying on Him, the dealer of life, He'll show me how take those lemons and add a few more Ingredient and make lemonade. So, we need to learn to trust our Heavenly father when things start getting crazy, pray, and read our word. Wow, those are the Ingredient that we need; Simple right? Well how many of us don't know how to use that Ingredient of our spiritual life to turn those lemons that life throws us into lemonade.
Join me Hezekiah L. Montgomery host of The Man In The Mirror, and co-host Nichelle Johnson as we talk about the lemons life has thrown us and how God has shown us how to make lemonade. Call in and tell us about the lemons that life has thrown you and what you've done.
So you're saying to yourself, what do you mean Perpetual Praise Friday? Well I'm glad you asked. Let's break it down, Perpetual means everlasting, never-ending, eternal, permanent, unending, endless; And Praise, express warm approval or admiration of. So we've made this Friday September 18, 2015 Perpetual Praise Friday. Call in and tell us your everlasting praise report to our Heavenly Father. What has God blessed you with. David said I will bless the Lord at All time, His Praise shall be continually on my lips Psalms 34:1.
I know a lot has been going on in all of our lives. But rest assured, He is still able, and shows it every day. As long as we continue to Praise Him the Devil will continue to be mad. Join me Hezekiah L. Montgomery host of The Man in the Mirror and my co-host Nichelle Johnson and our Perpetual Praise Friday.

When the Prophet Nathan went to King David to Rebuke him, David didn't even realize what was going on till the end of the Parable. God has a way of using Parables to show us a lesson. Parables are basically modern stories in modern times to make us say Uh ha! Got it. That’s the same thing Nathan did to our beloved King David. He told him one about someone who took something that belonged to some else and David got furious! So after Nathan revealed the truth to the King, then came repentance.
Wow, that's a story, but it's not ending there. Let's look at an onion. An onion has many layers. But in order for us to get to the part of the onion that we like, well that you like, I don't like onions..lol..we have to peel the skin off, then peel a little more till we get to the part that we like. Well that's what happened to King David, and that's what God does to us. He allows things to happen to us until there comes a point where we have to start peeling layers of sin off of us till we get to the real us.
Join me Hezekiah L. Montgomery host of The Man In The Mirror and Co-Host Nichelle Johnson as we discuss sin, the layer that build and how God uses situations to start peeling those layers off to get to the real you, me and all those He loves. Are you ready to be peeled?

Dropout, The Road to Redemption: Overcoming Life’s Detours Obstacles and Challenges and The Art of Activation, co-owner of the Super Mom Entrepreneur Conference and Expo, celebrity life couch, mentor and recognized motivational speaker.
Cross was 18, a freshmen in college with her entire life in front of her and with one, life-altering choice, it changed. The campus views and the liberating spirit she had just about grown accustomed to, was replaced by the dull images of gray cement floors, painted yellow lines and the removal of her freedom. Her poor choice, one that she fully accepts as her responsibility, landed her in the federal penitentiary for four-and-a-half years. Since that time, she had been on-fire to inspire, encourage, and uplift women; to teach them how to learn from their experience, tap into their gifts, and greatness, and build a business that makes a difference to them and to others.
Lucinda’s work is about helping women live a life of fire, fun and freedom which has led to nationally features in Essence, Black Enterprise, Daily News, Ebony; and radio and television appearances on ABC Money Matters, NBC, The Today Show, NY 1, Dr. Oz, The Bethenny Show, Sirius XM, Tom Joyner and the Al Sharpton Show. Lucinda Cross is the person women call when they are ready to leverage and monetize their expertise and message all while creating products, programs and a signature a platform.
Join me host Hezekiah L. Montgomery of the Man In The Mirror and Co-Host Nichelle Johnson as we interivew this great woman who knew somewhere in her heart Greater Is Coming.
In Matthew 25:31-46 Jesus teaches that when the son of man comes in glory He will separate the sheep from the goats. Some were very unsuspectedly surprised with his answer at the end of that scripture. “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”
What am I talking about? Well I'm glad you asked. As we're going on in our daily lives, are we actually living as a sheep, or are we living as goats. It's easy to be self-centered and live like a goat and think that we're doing what’s right for everyone around us. But it's truly hard to live that example that Christ gave us and love the people that are hard to love, or that have made terrible mistakes in life. We have to remember that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God Romans 3:23.
Join me tonight Hezekiah L. Montgomery host of The Man In The Mirror and Nichelle Johnson Co Host as we reveal a special scenario and hear from you our audience to see what's on your mind, and what would you do. What would you do with all that's going on in Baltimore today and you’re involved in a hit and run situation. And that hit and runner was a young black African American male who took off and didn't really care if he was right or wrong.

Proverbs 3:5-6 says "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths."
The last show we talked about faith, this week we'll be talking about and asking the question Do You Trust Him? Proverbs says, trust in the Lord with ALL Your heart. How many of us really do what that says? How many of us stop following our own mind and intellect and do what God says, Trust Him. Think about this, when your child was little and you used to throw them up in the air, they trusted you enough that they knew that you would catch them and not let them fall. That’s the kind of trust that God wants us to have in him.
Then He says in all your ways acknowledge Him. We have to put God in everything, and He will make our paths straight, or make our ways in life easy so that we get to where we need to be in Him.
Join me host Hezekiah L. Montgomery and my co-host Nichelle Johnson as we discuss what it means to truly trust in Him. Call in, ask questions, and tell us your story about how you too had to trust in Him and his word to get you through even when you didn't understand.
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and the assurance about what we do not see Heb 11:1. The word also says that with Faith the size of a mustard seed you can remove mountains Luke 17:6. What am I saying; well I don't have to say much. God wants us to have so much faith in Him that we'll begin to believe and understand that if we put our faith in action He will have to do what we've asked and prayed for Him to do on our behalf.
Join me host Hezekiah L. Montgomery and Co-Host Nichelle Johnson as we pray, read scripture and discuss faith and what it means. The definition of faith is ~complete trust of confidence in someone or something~ I'll be reading and excerpt on faith from my book Rediscovering Kia and cross referencing it with the faith scripture from Hebrew's 11. We have to love the faith the Ancients were commended for!!!
This episode came to me when I was talking to a couple of friends and told them that my credit status is about to change due to a bankruptcy. Well they began a debate on that you'll never be able to get anything because of it. Then it hit me like a hammer on my head. I've heard plenty of testimonies ab out how the Lord has blessed people who really had no means of getting what they've gotten, like a car, new house etc. As the Lord was talking to me through this all but brief conversation with friend, he wispered in my ear and gave me this. It's not about your status; it’s about who you serve.
The definition of status is "the relative social, professional, or other standing of someone or something." So you see you social or professional status or credit status is very important in todays world. But guess what, in the spiritual real, that means nothing. You see we have a God that is in control of all of that stuff, so even if they say no you can't get the car, take it to God in prayer and see what happens. God has a way of making the impossible possible. He has a way of taking the status that people put on you turn around, why because you serve him.
Jesus took a young boy who's status was only having two fish and five loaves of bread (Matthew 14:13-21), and guess what, He fed 5000 with that and had plenty left over. That little boys wasn't popular, he was just available when Jesus needed to use him. It wasn't about his Status it was about who he was around or who he served. That's what Jesus did; he changed that young man’s status.
Join me Hezekiah L. Montgomery host of The Man In The Mirror and Nichelle Johnson my Co Host as we discuss It's Not About Your Status, It's About Who You Serve. The Cattle on a thousand hills are His, so what more can He do for You!!!
God gave me these words a couple of years ago and I must tell Him sorry for not writing them down when He told me to. You see, when God tells you to do something, or He gives you something to say, it’s your duty to do it. So here I go with the strength and grace that He’s given me.
"Jesus met me where I was in my life and talked to me, sang to me and gave me a song to sing and a new way of thinking, and where did He do that? He did that in the BDF (Baltimore Detention Facility). He took a man that was broken, and worked a miracle in 86 days and brought me back to Him. He didn’t look at what I’ve done, because he knew the mistake in life that I made, He didn’t condemn me, even though He could have, He loved me back to Him. He met me there, and loved me for me. I didn’t have to jump through hoops or sing a song. I had to repent from my sin, acknowledge Him in my life, and He did the rest."
The issue now is that when we make mistakes today the world has an issue of holding our past against us, Not Him. They make us suffer for our past, but not Him. I found several hero’s in the Bible that have been on my mind for the past couple of years that prove that Jesus Meets You Where You Are.
Join me host Hezekiah L. Montgomery and my Co-Host Nichelle Johnson as we have a Live Discussion about how Jesus Meets You Where You Are, and tell our stories about where we were when Jesus Met us in our life and listen to others as they tell their stories.
How many of us when things are going good such as bills paid, food in the fridge, and money in the bank are on fire for the Lord and thanking and parsing Him. People come to you and ask how are you doing? and you say Praise the Lord!!! God Is Good!!! cause all is well. Now, on the flip side, when things aren't so good like, bills behind, can barely make market, kids eating all the time, and the banks account is laughing at you, are you still Praising Him, or are you just letting your situation determine your Praise. Yea it's easy to Praise Him when things are going good, but can you take on that same Praise when the situation isn't so good.
David said in Psalms 34:1 I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth. David went through ups and downs, but he still kept Praise in his Spirit. David even had to encourage himself when his men were ready to kill him because their wives and children were taken away from the camp. [David was greatly distressed because the men were talking of stoning him; each one was bitter in spirit because of his sons and daughters. But David found strength in the LORD his God.] 1 Samuel 30:6.
So, which are you, do you Praise Him in the good times and bad, or are you that SITUATIONAL PRAISER? Join me Host Hezekiah L. Montgomery and my Co-Host Nichelle Johnson as we give our stories, and reach out to our audience and talk to others that Praise Him at ALL TIMES!!!!

Join me Hezekiah L. Montgomery along with my Co-Host Nichelle Johnson as I do my first Excerpt readings from my first novel REDISCOVERING KIA. We are in our last month of fundraising for REDISCOVERING KIA THE PLAY so I'm looking forward to doing something different since the book came out. People have told me that they've enjoyed REDISCOVERING KIA. So as part of our fundraising month I'm doing my first reading ever. Am I little nervous, yes, but I know that I'm going to have some fun as well as I read, talk about the reading and have discussion as well.
Rediscovering Kia was my testimony that God had me right down to be able to help others that may get caught up in sin and don't know how to get back on course to God. As I wrote there is always a light at the end of the tunnel, we and I mean us, you and me have to hold on and not give up and not worry about what others are thinking because we have a God who's waiting with His arms OPEN WIDE for us to return to Him and be a light for others.
I will say that I enjoyed the last show with all of the support t that was there to discuss the book and how it's going to be an awesome play. I'm totally siked right now with jus the thought of my first novel becoming a play. So with that say, join me as I read, ignite your interest and plug you into supporting REDISCOVERING KIA THE PLAY. And I'll see you at the Mirror...
Join me Host Hezekiah L. Montgomery along with my Co-Host Nichelle Johnson as we're doing our first fundraising episode. We're doing the Re-Launch of the REDISCOVERING KIA The Play GoFundMe Campaign. REDISCOVERING KIA is my first novel that came out on eBook first in April 15, 2013. Then by the end of the year the Lord made it possible to be printed on paperback, both available on Amazon.
Not to brag, but everyone that's has read it has given it a thumbs up. And I know several friends of mines who are passing it around to their friends to read. Rediscovering Kia is my Testimony, it's where The Man In The Mirror was born and created. So we're making it into a play for all to see, enjoy and learn that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Please join me, Nichelle as we bring back C. Maria Wall, Dr. Ahmed Royalty, and a few other people who are working and supporting this project. We're going in to make a dream come true. As my Pastor said in today’s sermon “I can do it if I try." We're not just going to try we're going to do it.
We're going to take the next 60 days to raise as much of the 5K that we can. We'll allow God to do the increase. We'll be taking donations from $5.00 to $100.00. So please help us raise money for REDISCOVERING KIA THE PLAY.
The funds will be used to purchase the script, get copyright. It will also be used to find a venue to produce the play and also get all permits needed and design and build set.
C Maria Wall is a true Friend and Mentor to me, she was the first one to invite me to be on her show after reading my book "REDISCOVERING KIA." When the idea of my first On Air live Interview was presented to me, I was almost shy about it, then something said, do it, and so I did. When I did her show Healing Through Hurt in August of 2013 I had such a great time that I was offered other chances to be on other i-Talk Radio shows to talk about my book and I loved it. I loved it so much that after my 4th interview I decided with the guidance of the Holy Spirit and God to produce my show, and here we are The Man In The Mirror. So you know I thought it would be fun to invite her onto my show since it was conceived from her show Healing Through Hurt.
More than 25 years Experience! Everyone has a dream, story and desire! C. Maria Wall is an accomplished inspirational speaker, author, entrepreneur and Certified Professional Life Coach. "I want to help you find your destiny, de-clutter your life and find the satisfaction you have been seeking for a long time.

Nichelle Johnson is a mother of 3 lovely children; Two young men and a sweet little girl. Nichelle has had the opportunity to feel what it is to be a business owner. JTS or Johnson Technical Services was around for about nine years until something unfortunate happened and she had to shut it down to go back into the work field. After getting back into the work field some other life changing experiences came along and almost knocked her off her game. But for some reason this young lady didn't let that stop her.
She's never one that just gave up. She's a God Fearing young lady and knows that God always has her back. Being a graduate of Morgan State University she has plenty of fortitude. She's always surrounded herself with the people that she will learn from and that will learn from her. She's a Power Driven woman and knows what she wants out of life. Please don't make the mistake of telling her what she can't do, why, because Nichelle will tell you different. She has plenty of technical skills that will back everything up.
Nichelle is now Co-Founder of Curvy Boss Project which is her other child now, and she's been traveling to different parts of the country learning how to Activate the Powerful Entrepreneur that's in her. Her goal now is to one day get away from the work force again and be back at the helm of her own business, will she do it? I think we all know the answer to that.
Our purpose is to give moral support to all whose sons, daughters or family members have been murdered by reaching out to them via telephone, e-mail, 24-hour telephone support at those times when they are overwhelmed with grief and to teach communities how to reclaim their communities from violence. "TO SAVE ONE LIFE IS AS IF YOU HAVE SAVED THE ENTIRE WORLD." We do this by reinvesting in our children (i.e., communicating with all youth in the community; by mentoring at-risk young men or women; lobbying for programs at local Boys & Girls Clubs, REC centers, PAL centers, and YMCAs) to teach them about bullying, aggression, conflict resolution, anger management and better decision-making; lobbying to our politicians to change gun laws.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to all parents who have experienced the pain of burying a child. "NO PARENT SHOULD HAVE TO BURY THEIR CHILD." This pain is perpetual; but we can work together to save a child and to see that another parent does not experience this gut-wrenching pain. They say: “GOD does not give us what we cannot handle.” He gives us this pain to go out and make a difference. We should not let our family member’s death be in VAIN.
Join me host Hezekiah L. Montgomery as I have a live interview with Mrs. Beneka Jones a native of Annapolis, Maryland. When I first met Mrs. Jones she didn't appear to have had any health issues. But when we began to talk and she told me more and more about herself, she mentioned something that struck me immediately. She told me that she was a stage IV cancer survivor. When I did some research on stage IV cancer this is what I found.
"These stages indicate cancers or tumors that are larger in size, have grown more deeply into nearby tissue, and have spread to lymph nodes, but not to other parts of the body. Stage IV. This stage means that the cancer has spread to other organs or parts of the body. It may also be called advanced or metastatic cancer."
She told me that they sent her home and gave her 90 days to live. What would you do if the doctors told you that you have only 90 days to live? Well Ms. Beneka didn't believe that report. At first she was upset, which is the natural order of things. She went through all the emotions like anyone else who hears this kind of news, but on her 72nd day something miraculous happened. Tune in to The Man In the Mirror hear more of her story.
Join me, host Hezekiah L. Montgomery as I reach out to my listening audience and talk about WHY I DO WHAT I DO on The Man In the Mirror. My show has been dedicated to God because he's brought me further in life now than I've ever been, and I want others to be able to share in His Grace and Mercy. I enjoy reading God's word and learning what He has planned for my life, and I enjoy what He has planned for other people’s lives as well.
He's a great and worthy to be praised, I bring on others that have a story to share and let my new listening audience share in those experiences’. We'll joke, we'll laugh and maybe even cry, but we'll be real. Since God turned me around and put me back on track in Him, I Keep It Real. My guest and guest host will learn something new each show and will leave with a new nugget of knowledge. So join me on The Man In The Mirror as we find out what our REFLECTIONS OF LIFE SHOWS.
